Steven is a great professor and very inspiring. He is a retired entrepreneur and new to teaching, but his enthusiasm for the subject was contagious. He was always kind and very helpful. The class wasn't extremely difficult, but I think I learned a lot. Did I mention the cookies on exam day. If you get the chance take his course.

By far the best professor for marketing!! Interesting class, so beneficial, I would recommend anyone to take it! Cares so much about the subject and his students. Work hard and you'll get a good grade, but most of all you'll enjoy the class!!!

A semi-retired entrepreneur, prof. O. is new to SDSU and to being a professor altogether. Prof. is very down-to-earth, brilliant, and witty. He will go to any ends to keep his students entertained, so you won?t want to miss any class, even if they start at the ?ungodly? 8am. As a bonus, great chocolate-chip cookies awaited us on the test days!!!

Good guy- no curveballs on the test whatsoever, what you see is what you get. Just keep up to date with the reading and review the power point slides and you'll be fine. The class is very engaging, and he provides you with fresh, real-life examples nearly to the day of class.

Osinski is great! out of all my mktg classes at state, i learned the most real life stuff in his class! the group project is where you definitely learn the most and he keeps lectures interesting with relevent videos. cookies on test days are good too! TAKE HIM he's awesome!

He is the man! He is the nicest teacher in the whole department. He would literally bend over backwards for each individual student, and I can't think of any other teacher that I would say that about. The tests are what you'd expect for upper division business. Great class!

Pretty ironic: he's likely the most successful person in the department-possibly even business school-and is somehow one of the most humble and approachable professors. BEST TEACHER AT STATE!!! I typically browse the internet on my laptop during class, but this teacher somehow has the magical powers to pry my attention from the computer screen to his powerpoints. I found this Direct Mktg class very useful and it was a funny experience: the professor pesents all the concepts in a very clear way thanks to its personal working experience, he's helpful and you have a good time enjoying his classes! Steven Osinski is the best professor I have ever had!! He is a great guy overall, and I suggest getting to know him outside of the classroom, as he is an incredible, successful guy willing to help you out with your future. I'm not a marketing major but Osinski really helped me understand the marketing sector more, especially about selling. 2 easy exams and a group presentation. Very enthusiastic during classes. But remember he is a sales person. So even if he talks like he has a genuine interest of you as a person he really doesn't have it. However he keeps up the interest for the subject in a very good way.

Osinski is a sales guy and a true American one. He talks and act as he likes you during schedule ours but after class he doesn't care about you at all. However he is really good to keep up the interest during the classes.

I had him for four straight hours, two days a week and always looked forward to class. Group projects are unique compared to other classes. His teaching style is different from many because he has actually been in the real world and knows what he is talking about. If you want to learn from a pro, this is the guy!!!

Had Prof. Osinksi during my semester at SDSU and made every single class fun and interesting. He also gladly accepted foreign exchange students, which made my crash experience a lot easier. This was my second time with Professor Osinski and he is awesome! His lectures are engaging and entertaining and he really made direct marketing more interesting then it seems. Just 2 Midterms, some mini homeworks randomly throughout the semester and a final group project/presentation. Definitely would recommend any of his classes!

Osinski is a great teacher who is super enthusiastic each and everyday. He makes lectures entertaining which can't be said for most teachers at SDSU. That said, he has a horrible grading scale for your final project. He lets the class determine your grade for a project that accounts for 30% of your grade. Ridiculous.

Took both of his classes and he was a very enthusiastic and made lectures worth going to. One of the best marketing profs at state. That being said, he grades ridiculous on the final project and has a scale that has the class vote determining your grade which is worth 30%. Take but make sure to get in a good group

This professor is an inspirational to me and the class. Hes an entrepreneur, father, and a professor. He teaches for the sake of teaching not for a paycheck. He loves what he teaches. I loved his classes. I wish he taught more classes. A+

It is totally worth it going to class, I had it at 8am TTH, and even though everyone was tired he really tries to make his class fun, and it is. Best prof@SDSU HANDS DOWN! Just print out his slides-he tests from notes. Only complaint is class decides ur grade for project, that sucks if you aren't at the top of the popularity list in class.

Professor Osinski is one of the best professor's I've taken! His lectures and material help you prepare for real life sales, and are also very enjoyable and entertaining. There wasn't a single day he didn't have energy teaching his class, I truly loved waking up for his class. Tests aren't as easy as the ppt slides, so make sure you prepare well.

The qualities that make a great teacher are passion, clarity, and engagement. Osinski meets those qualities and then some. The 2 tests can be tricky, but he is probably the most helpful teachers there is. you also have a semester presentation. If you want become a master at sales or direct marketing then take him. He knows what hes talking about.

I attended Osinski's MKTG377 as an International Student from England (Spring Semester 2015). He was by far the best professor I have ever had, and the best academic experience I had at SDSU. His classes are entertaininguseful and his dedication to his students and helping them achieve in their careers was amazing, 8 AM sales should be mandatory!

What hasn't been said about Osinski? This guy is a breath of fresh air from the academics of the world. He has been incredibly successful in the real world and now he dedicates what he learned to his students. As a marketing major, it is paramount that you take this man for 377 and/or 380. Tests can be tough and class is mandatory.

I never thought that I'd recommends an 8 am during my college career. Osinski rocks!! This class wasn't an easy A though. His tests are worth a large percentage of your grade so if you mess up on the tests you don't have much opportunity to save yourself until the group sales presentation (pick a company and do a mock B2B sales presentation).

He's a great professor who is very passionate about what he does. You know you can expect the best when a professor teaches because he wants to give back to students rather than for own interest. Even if you do not think you like sales, take this class! It opened up my eyes to the world of sales and now I am pursuing a career in it. Osinski is my favorite professor at State. He makes the subject fun and makes students want to learn and come to class. Graded on 2 midterms and group project, which is your "final." If you have a decent group you should get at least a B on the project (it's not too difficult). Tests are hard so make sure you take good notes and read all the articles. For the group project, be careful who you choose! I ended up with a sucky group and we did badly. They were nice to my face, but honestly they didn't care about the project as much as I did and my grade really suffered because of them. Relevant content by Osinski. He's good!

Professor Osinski is one of the best professors I have had. During COVID he completely redirected the class to focus on how to go into the workforce with COVID. We did not use the textbook because he wanted to make sure his lessons were aligned with what was happening in the world right now. Amazing Guy!

BEST PROFESSOR AT STATE. I am currently half way through the semester and had to make a review already because he is the funniest and best professor. He is extremely caring and knowledgeable. He uses the full 2 hours for his lectures, but brings in speakers to keep class interesting and engaging. The exams were somewhat difficult, with confusing questions, but he offers a few extra credit opportunities and ultimately based your final grade on participation, attendance, and homework completion.

This guy's the goat, recruiters came to class pretty much every week, big chunk of the grade is participation, but don't underestime the tests. He only does two exams, no practice tests, or quizzes and they are lowkey hard. First test class average was a 75 which makes it a bit of a sweat but the participation grade gets you right.

He is considered the best business professor by most students for a reason, and every student should take his class. Every lecture is always engaging, and there is very little homework. Keep in mind you must raise your hand constantly for a good grade.
