Have him for business statistics and he is one of the most helpful teachers out there. He'll walk you through questions step by step, answer emails very quickly and do whatever it takes you help you. GPA BOOSTER.

Goes so far out of his way to help you it's ridiculous. E-mails everyday, all of his things are online so you can't lose anything. Will go over and over something until everyone gets it. Tries really hard to get everyone to understand. Take him forsure.

TAKE HIM!!! He is a funny guy who goes out of his way to help you. He will do ANYTHING you need to help you pass. He emails you almost daily and posts everything you do online. If you need to take statistics take it with him. He does his best to make a boring course fun.

By far the best prof I have EVER HAD here, and I am in my fifth year! He is there to make sure you succeed, always available for help, answers emails quickly. He is the greatest teacher I ever had. Makes the class environment fun and is really helpful. He even helps you out in quizes and mid-terms. He wants everyone to be perfect in his class. I will recommend this teacher to everone whoever is taking this course. I wish he teaches other courses.

He is a GREAT teacher. Business Stats 1230 is supposedly hard class and he made the class as easy as possible (not going to say why, take his class and see). Attendance isn't manditory because he posts all lectures and assigments on the course website. For exams, I studied the night before and got 80%. Didn't even buy the textbook. GPA BOOSTER!!!!!

On the first day of class he told us not to even bother buying the textbook. You really don't need it with the way Stephen teaches Stats. I would definitely recommend him. Best prof I've had at Kwantlen

Stephen is a really good guy, he goes over all the concept in great detail. The best Stats teacher for anyone taking entry level stats or math classes. I had him for Stats,i had to work hard tho in class, he allows for cheat sheets, but he teaches so well that one barley uses them for the exam. i got 98 on his first exam. HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommended

Stephen is an amazingly great teacher! Very easy going, hands down my favourite prof after 2 years at kwantlen. His tests are extremely easy and straightforward, he basically tells you whats on all the tests and the final exam. He loves to see his students succeed and goes the pace of the slowest person in he class. Will definately take him again!

I cannot say this enough. He's the best teacher for stats. He has no life, creates youtube videos, questions, notes, extra learning assignments, in his free time. He's so funny! And most of all, he makes Stats easy and he's an easy marker. If you do bad on a midterm, if you do well on the final or second midterm - he'll raise your bad mark! TAKEHIM

Best Stats teacher ever! I took stats with a different prof and did not understand anything.. I retook it with Stephen and I aced the class!!

Stephen is a great teacher, on of the best ive had so far. He will do ANYTHING for you to understand the material. He tells you whats on the exam, he records his notes, writes his notes, provides powerpoints, replys to emails within the hour.

This course was really interesting in that we got to use a simulation tool and do some optimization. Prof made this course SO understandable and EASTY to learn. His funny personality kept students awake. entertaining! worth the $ .1st midterm average was about 85 percent. Definite GPA booster!

Amazing prof! I've never had a teach pay so much attention to their students! From Youtube videos, long office hours, Keenies assignments (which he marks and provides feedback on) Full of energy and you can feel the passion he has for what he does. Must Take!

One of the best professors I've had. He gives you all the tools to get an A+. All you need to do is 1) go through the PowerPoints while listening to his MP3's, 2) attend class 3) do his suggested problems/keenies 4) reference his youtube channel for excel probs 5) make a solid cheat sheet. maybe 2-3 hours a week, no surprises.

I took 3 classes with him and he is probably the best prof in Kwantlen. Very helpfull. If your not good with Math or Stats he would be your best choice because he will take him time to make sure that you understand the work. He also has office hours in learning center so that he can actully help us with our work. I would take him again!!

Had him for both 1130/1230 and got A's in both classes. AMAZING PROF. Genuinely cares about his students, always makes sure each concept is understood by EVERYBODY, pretty much gives you all the necessary questions and you see almost the same ones on the exams (so you don't really need the textbook AT ALL). So friendly and just AWESOME!!!

Simply an amazing prof. Stephen is probably the best teacher I have ever had. He really wants his students to learn and will go out of his way to help each student succeed. Stephen is one of the best profs in KPU! Hands down. He is always willing to help you do good in the class! Even though this course is an elective, I learned a lot from him! His exams are straightforward; no tricky exam questions. If you try hard, and ask for his help, you'll do good in his class! I wish he teaches taxation too.

Highly recommend this prof because he really cares about his students and their success. A B+ or higher is definitely possible as long as you follow along in class and do some more practice questions at home. Unless you want additional practice questions, the textbook is not mandatory. He is a very friendly guy who likes to crack jokes during class

Stephen's great. One of the best Prof's at KPU. His classes are easy to follow and the content is super easy. Can get hard to stay interested because it get slow at times. If you know how to use formulas you can get an A+

I absolutely loved this class. He makes things so simple and easy and was always available outside of class and even stayed two hours after class in the library for anyone who wanted extra help. He tests you on what you learned in class so no surprises. Its impossible to not get an A in his class with all the help he offers and im awful at math!!.

Explains things very clearly. Will slow down if the class needs him to. He was available after class in the learning centre if you needed him. Ended up getting an A. If you put in effort, you'll have no problem getting an A too.

Very balanced teacher who does his job very well, and obviously cares about student success. Lectures contribute to participation marks and you should really go. He slows down when necessary and reaches out to help students who need it., but challenges stronger students with plenty of practice questions. Approachable and always willing to help.

I believe from the bottom of my heart that Stephen I am where now because of his positive influence on me many years ago. When you meet someone with such passion for teaching and to help people you cannot help but improve yourself.

I am in my fourth year now and had Steven in my first year, till this day he is the best instructor I ever had. Vert rare to have an instructor that is motivated to teach and really wants you to learn. What I liked about him is that he taught us the smart way of doing problems and always told us why we are doing such problem and why is it useful.

Stephen is an amazing prof who you must take. Don't bother with the textbook as he explains much better and gives plenty of practice questions. Get comfortable using Excel as it makes your life easier. He should teach some of the other profs how to teach as his enthusiasm is infectious and he actually cares about his students.

I've always hated formulas and calculations - they give me such great stress bc it's essentially learning and attempting to excel in a whole new language. I don't usually leave any comment about a professor but Steven is a gem. Do yourself a favour a take him if you ever see an open spot in his class. He is dedicated, patience and really wanted you to pass, easy A if you follow his instructions. Regret not being able to meet him in person.

One of the best online prof's at KPU. He is so patient and his weekly lesson videos are very helpful (which aren't mandatory to attend and records them). A few quizzes, 2 midterms and 1 final, all straightforward. Not to mention, he is hilarious when the class engages with him during live lesson videos.

A stunning example of how math should be taught. Stephen will go through examples multiple times until everyone understands. Lectures are recorded allowing you to re watch anything you need a refresher on. Quizzes have two attempts, encouraging you to correct your mistakes. Practice questions have answer keys and are similar to test questions.
