If you're looking to not learn anything, never have to take a test or even show up to class, and if you're willing to waste your money, this class is for you! We never had one quiz or exam and though the summer class was supposed to be 4 hours, each class never went beyond an hour and a half. Glad I got an easy A but still disappointed...

Easy class, he makes it enjoyable. Explains everything very well, hands out powerpoint slides at the beginning of each class which he goes over. Stats is pretty much common sense, I have learned a lot though.

He explains all subject matter until everyone in the class understands it, which means he goes at a very slow pace and is very repetitive. Very easy, nice guy, wants everyone to succeed. Just show up, and you get an A

I would 100% take another class with this teacher. So nice and so good looking. He's very smart but he's so easy as a teacher!

He was great, it's def an intro to stats class, Easy to get an A if you practice practice. He's all about repetition and that's what makes us learn. Pretty funny dude and down-to-earth.

Cool dude, definitely take Stats with him. As long as you do the work you should be set. He moves a little quickly through some work so pay attention if you don't understand something.

The best statistics professor. Makes it easy to understand math in a layman's language. Very interesting, reviews all the assignments in class. He does not move to the next topic unless everyone is on the same page. I would take his class again.

Hes a great professor i like that he gives you exams so that you know where yo u are and what you need to learn. Unlike other teachers that give you exams and don't bother reviewing the material. He goes over everything in class repeatedly so you won't forget it.

Was scared to take thus course as i am bad with math, and he made it acessible, manageable, plus easy to understand. Great sense of humor, and really relieved my anxiety about big, ugly, Statistics. Would take again.

The professor basically directs you on the exact way to approach numbers. Follows up to see you get it. Provides correction where need be. This is very helpful in development.

The greatest Stats professor! If you need to take it and is afraid things are gonna get ugly, just do yourself a favor and it take with him! He will explain things really well in a way that you will understand, trust me. He is funny and makes his students comfortable. Thanks professor for making our semester less miserable! :)

Great Professor! He doesn't make you purchase textbooks, instead he has power-points planned and printed out for you at the beginning of each class. He is great at explaining things, and when he goes over problems, he does them out completely for you to see. I would definitely take him again. All you have to do is go to class to understand.

Professor Roll is a master of his craft. As an MIT graduate he could make this class very difficult. Yet considering this is a night class he understands most students are also working full time, possibly with a family to support. The material is very approachable, and in the end I have a learned a lot. Great sense of humor as well. Boo Savant!!!!!

i like the way he teaches, He is there for the students and always asks us to give him feedback if he is too fast or too slow. I like this class so far.

Gives excellent lectures; keeps the class interested by using real examples to describe concepts. Provides weekly materials to the class instead of requiring the purchase of a textbook. Is able to present complicated subject matter in such a way that it is interesting and easier to understand. Highly recommended.

I think he's a great guy, he has an excellent sense of humor, and I would most definitely take his course again.

I love this class!! Professor Stephen Roll makes this class easy to understand, even if you have been out of school quite a while like me. His presentations are very well prepared, and gives samples of real life to better understand the subject, very hilarious!

He is the best Math Professor I have ever taken. He is so good at explaining, answers questions calmly and with patience. His lectures are definitely the best.

Would definitely take him again, he's awesome I highly recommend taking him for stats. He goes really fast but makes everything easy to understand, also he wont mind explaining everything over and over if needed. Best professor at MassBay for sure.

Breaks down statistics so its easy to understand. Much better than the previous two class of statistics that I took and could not understand. Relates material to real world scenarios so you understand the data. I would recommend him to anyone who needs to take Statistics.

The class is very easy, with good, easy understandable example and problems, though many of them are outdated. No extra material required. The attendance is not checked, if you skip a quizz you get to take it on the next class. If math is NOT your major, I do recommend this professor.

He's very clear and direct. Explains things well. Provides good examples. Goes through plenty of example problems.

Loving the class. Incredibly instructive while being extremely efficient. I enjoy my time in the class and learn without undue stress. It's a blast!

My favorite class this semester. Professor Roll goes through the class material in detail but slow enough that it is easily understood. Not much homework which really helps ease the workload from other classes. I would definitely choose him again.

Would definitely recommend this class again. The professor is very straight forward, answers any questions and is available for before/after class (except for now cause of coronavirus in class cancellation, but answers emails fairly quickly)

This is a pretty cool guy, laid back. Doesn't make the class hard and like to joke. Will explain it again if you need and always offers to stay late if anyone needs more of an explanation on anything. Would I take this class again, yes but fortunately this is my last class.

Prof. Roll is an awesome & amazing teacher, it's really easy to learn Statistics with this guy! He explains the material very well, goes over any questions you have, & gives you time on your tests. This was all online too, great communication. Would definitely retake, would also recommend, he's one of the best!

I appreciate the approach. I felt this class introduced the information in easily digestible pieces, and provided enough practice resources to translate that knowledge into an understanding without becoming a burden of busy work.

I really enjoyed taking Intro to Statistics (MA105) with Professor Roll. Content is taught thoroughly, easy to grasp the concepts, Professor Roll gives us plenty of chances to clarify any questions you have about the course both in class and over email. He's also very funny too. Definitely take this course with him.

Ive never enjoyed my time in math classes and regularly found it difficult to understand material. Professor Roll does an excellent job at keeping things as simple as possible. He provides easy to understand directions/explanations, and makes it a priority of his to keep his students happy and stress free.

If you take Stats and are not good at math, do yourself a favor and take him. His online class is so, so, so easy and, bonus, he is funny asf.
