I took his class, econ 188 at UCLA. Basically two classes from 930 to 330 on Saturday throughout a quarter. seating for 6 hours may sound long and boring but what he talked in class was really interesting and practical. basic knowledge about stocks, job markets, interview skills. Most of them are highly realistic. Take it!

He helps you from building your resume to analyzing the stock market. A very good lecturer and a very interesting class. Try to bet your luck to meet him one on one and prepare some questions, you will learn a lot.

I took Professor Ross's course (at UCLA). The course was 9:30-3:30 on 2 SATURDAYS, but 110% worth it! He covers real life lessons, advice for the workplace & life post-grad, and gives great "how-to-get-a-job" tips that you won't find in ANY other class. He is an all around great guy to hear speak and definitely an authority on Finance/management.

I had the privilege of taking Professor Ross Econ 188-Career Development at UCLA the winter quarter of 2016. In only two lectures, I felt a genuine personal connection between him and myself, both through his lecturing style and his welcoming personality to my questions during breaks in the class. Only a class like this can make two 6-hour classes on Saturdays so worth it. Every minute spent in his class is 100% worth it and you walk away with knowledge you know you will use every day. Stephen was an awesome professor. Although the class I took with him was extremely short and not very intense, it was very valuable and I took away a lot from his lectures. He knows so much about life and what it takes to have a successful career. During this class, he did a fantastic job sharing those experiences with us and providing advice.

ECON185 was the most valuable class I've taken at UCLA. I wish I took it sooner because the course material is very relevant, especially for those applying for jobs/internships. You can tell Professor Ross really enjoys teaching this class and appreciates his students. I cannot recommend this course enough, so if you are debating taking it, DO IT!

His class inspired me to become a financial lawyer. Hes also funny, and we watched YOUTUBE and Googled lots of things!

Professor Ross shares his extensive line of experience in financial services while giving comprehensive instructions on how to become a successful applicant. Truly inspirational, he definitely structured my outlook on my career. I recommend him to anyone who lacks resources on how to approach interviews and what industry to be involved with.

The lectures are very informative, take notes!! If your goal is to get an easy 1 unit course, you will enjoy his class because not much work is required. If your goal is to learn as much as you want to about different careers and continue your own career preparation, you will also enjoy his class because he will help you achieve just that.

Professor Ross is one of my favorite professors at UCLA. He genuinely cares about his students, and he is so passionate about teaching and guiding students. He is down-to-earth and super approachable. If you need anything from him, he is there and ready to help.
