A little hard to understand... but willing to help if you ask.
Sooo Easy

hard but an excellent teacher.
he does not explain stuff and his way is the only way
He is extremely difficult to understand and doesnt answer questions. DONT TAKE!
You either get this stuff or you don't, but if you do it's easy.

understanding and helpful, either you get it or you dont
this professor is really interested in challenging what you believe. He wants you to understand what you believe. Very helpful and always willing to explain. Great professor! I've grown a lot philosophically from his class and the semester isn't over!
If you get Logic, than this class was easy, and actually fun at times. If you dont get logic, well then I guess you are out of luck. Tests were easy. Like a math class, but with words instead of numbers.
the class isnt hard, but if you dont get it, be prepared to teach yourself, b/c dr. scales probably wont... =/
boring class, all lectures, 2 papers, midterm and final. discussions are pointless, going back and forth. i dont recommend taking this class at all!
Explains and covers everything very well. Gives practice exams that are mirrored after the real exams. Definitely recommend!
cant stand him, he's very cocky. he thinks that he knows everything and that his opinion is the RIGHT one, eventhough its phil and is very opinionated.ifyou dont agree with him, he talks to you like your stupid. DONT TAKE ANY OF HIS CLASSES
Dear God do not take this class! He always thinks he's right, will interrupt you just to tell you you're wrong, and lets the students teach the class. I most always have the urge to jump out the window listening to the boring material.
never take one of his classes! he doesn't even teach, he leaves that up to the rest of the class and then drones on and on if he doesn't agree with someone's opinion. it's their opinion for christ's sake!
capital J O K E of a class. this guy is a goof and this class is a joke. material is of no importance and has no meaning. complete and utter waste of time. for accounting majors, sorry this is a requirement. scales has nothing important to say
The most useless class that Accounting majors have to take. I did not get anything out of it. He was very helpful with advice on my paper.
will you get anything out of this class?...HAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHH....NO!....what a joke. if i could rate based on Useless Class, I would rate it a VERY Useless Class.....this guy is a joke too.
the accounting dept should get this course out of our requirement. it's not fair for us to deal with this wierd professor while some students can take mngt482 to fullfill the business ethics requirement.
Worst professor at Towson!!! avoid him!!! not clear and not willing to help!!!
You'll do ok if you keep in mind that the only opinion that matters is his! Total waste of time for accounting majors---class focuses too much on old/dead philosophers & not enough on business ethics.
Closed minded and ignorant business-types will undoubtedly complain about philosophy since there's no money in it, but S's approach to Bus. ethics is solid and important, covering theory/practice, micro/macro issues. Capitalism is questioned, as is other
Nice guy. Don't agree with him much. But he's genuinely interested in helping students.
He's super nice and sweet, and accounting majors are dumb anyway.
Professor Scales completely ruined environmental ethics for me; he is very unhelpful and unwilling to work with students. We read and analyzed obscure, very difficult articles, and presented them to the class. If you every say anything that disagrees with his personal opinion, you're done. AVOID!
he is WAY too into ethics, do not take him! unless you like ethics and ethical theories. he is far from hot! he wears the same like 3 t-shirts and doesn't shave and is kinda creepy
pretty easy, if you are lucky enough to understand the subject. i dont think he would have been particularly helpful if i was totally lost. only 3 tests in the class, including the final. nice guy. does not take attendance or grade homework.
Easy class. Gives practice tests beforehand and uses same layout for real test. Only three exams incl final and a homework grade added in (but he only checked it once at the beginning). Nice guy, tries to be helpful, but some people just don't get it. He really tries his best to get everyone an A.
SCALES IS A VERY NICE GUY BUT THE GUY DID NOT DRESS LIKE A TEACHER. HE WORE A TSHIRT AND SHORTS THE WHOLE SEMESTER. TEACHES WELL BUT IF YOU HAVE NEVER HAD PHILOSOPHY BEFORE YOU ARE IN FOR A TOUGH TIME ESPECIALLY ON THE PAPERS.
you will be constantly checking the clock the entire time. do not assume that because it is a gen ed it will be easy -- this is a stressful class only because it has no structure and is composed of ignorant debate among students. his work attire consists of hole-ridden t-shirts and jeans. ugh.

The worst class ever, with the worst teacher ever. Grades papers hard, very liberal minded. Got in verbal fight with him once in class.
Towson students may be frightened by his GENIUS BRAIN!
i also had him for ethics. he's a verytough teacher, and VERY nit picky...hard grader...papers are tough, but he's really intelligent and open minded. also willing to help when you need it!
He got so frustrated with this class that he stopped teaching it. He is a tough grader but he is very willing to help you,if you put in the paper exactly what he tells you-you'll get a good grade. Reminds me of a chubby shaggy from scooby doo. He could dress a little better for class.
Very into Ethics, but knows his stuff. Two papers and two test. He is a great teach but some of the material is hard to grasp by just sitting in class. Do the reading and go to him if you need help. He is very approachable and very helpful! Loved the class!
I was in the first class that he taught of this course and he is a terrible research teacher. It was his first time and he didnt instill much confidence in the class. We had class from 6-8pm and always got out before 7pm. I am working on my thesis now and the professors that know about this class are forcing people to retake research.
Steve Scales is a great teacher. Definitely a difficult class but very insightful and helpful with life issues. He is a little tough on grades but he really makes you think before you say or write something. He doesn't exactly have the appearance of a p

I thought the first half of the class was really boring and hard to understand. Once we got into actually talking about the contemporary issues it was much better. Scales is a good professor who definitely makes you think. Somehow I managed an A-.
He thinks we know and understand things the way he does. Some things are ridiculous, and he is not very helpful. Not open to suggestion; unclear professor. Take this course with Fuchs instead.
He definitely knows what he's doing, and he is always willing to help people! I think he does a good job teaching this class considering the nature of the material. I would definitely take another course with him.
This was a tough class for me to understand, not because of teacher incompetence, just because the subject matter sucks. You must do a presentation during the semester in which he lets you pick the time you do it. Pick the earliest time you can, because he gets very hard the longer you wait. Helps you a lot with papers...you'll need it.
This class consists of 2 papers, a presentation, midterm, and final.. plus class participation. The midterm and final are easy if you study the terms he gives you on the study guide. The presentation was alright... he tends to interrupt you in the middle of the presentation if he does not agree with what you are saying or has questions
He attack others points of view. Gave bad grades because you disagreed with his views. Wore the same art scape t-shirt almost every week and talk about star-tech. Weird guy, bad teacher, aviod him like the plague.
hard to follow, not very helpful if you dont understand, moves too quickly, half of the class dropped midsemester. Does curve the 3 tests, if he didnt im not sure more than a handful would pass. Basically you are on your own to teach yourself and figure things out.
the only people who don't like this class are people who suck at logic. great teacher, gives practice tests that are set up the exact same as the real tests... if you do poorly in this class, blame yourself.
Fun class - example of an "either you get it or you don't" class. Scales gets it so it's kind of difficult for him to think you don't. It's like a riddle and you're the only one who knows the answer. It's only simple to you, and everyone else grumbles. That's Scales Logic. He's helpful if you ask for it. Pre-tests exact format of real test.
Loved him! though the first few weeks of the class are rather boring, it gets alot better!
Hes a flyby teacher, real easy to deal with and very clear when teaching, hes nerdy but kinda fun nerdy in a way, VERY EASYGOING. overall good teacher.
HARD class if you dont study. Must do homework EVERY night. Teacher extremely welcome to give extra help or cover topics multiple times if asked. Only take if you can keep up with the day to day work.
I really like professor Scales. Logic can be hard to understand but he is more then willing to help outside of class. He wants students to do well and gives practice tests just like the real test. This year he does not check homework but it helps to do it. He is a little nerdy but a really nice guy and goes out of his way to help students.
He is a very nice guy and is extremely reasonable with grading. Tests are not extremely difficult and he gives practice tests and then reviews them before the actual exam. I really enjoyed the class. Easy class to take for a GenEd credit.
I hated the class, it's letters and symbols used in arguments, but the teacher is really nice adn he'll try to make office hours to help out. There are practice tests fpr all the exams that have everything on them, but the class is still super hard
will type for you all the notes of his lecture. will read them. Very logical, scientific, modern approach.does not like gibberish and pompous rethoric.I like the way he force you to look at the pro and cons of his theory.does not ask enough questions to class to make sure we get it. will re explain well what u don't get.Study!
I was fairly interested in this class before I took it and even looking through the books I was still interested. Now that I've been in class a few weeks I've lost interest completely in the subject. He rambles about completely useless things. I know it's philosophy but make your arguments have a point. It seems like he just wants to prove us wron
DO NOT TAKE PHILOSOPHY WITH SCALES!!! i was excited about the class at first, then got there and its such a drag. he is very awkward, he is HORRIBLE at speaking, as in public speaking and infront of the class. says 'uh/um' alot. counted total was 227 times in 1 hour and 15. its bad enough your taking philosophy, dont worsen it by taking it w/ scales
If you are not a philosophy major attempting to take this class a simple "Using Information Affectively" class, BACK OUT NOW! If you are a philosophy major and looking for a challenging yet incredibly interesting course, SIGN UP! Scales is a great professor who really cares about his students. The class is just a bit tough if your new to philosophy
If you enjoy philosophy this is a good class, if you're just trying to get by you will not have a good time. The exams are easy and he goes over what will be on them, he'll type out notes for you, papers are very hard and he grades them harshly.
He's a nice guy and it's a challenging class. Attendance really isn't mandatory, but you have to keep up with the material if you want to do well. Also, he sounds EXACTLY LIKE Patton Oswalt.
If u do not need this class do not take Logic wit Scales take it wit anybody else but him. He sucks at teaching all he does is go over the homework and write on the chalkboard you honestly will be better off reading the book and learning the material yourself. If you take him STUDY FOR THE TESTS he will fail you
Nice guy, generous curves on tests, nothing very special. He will give you the book, and let you learn from that. Attendance is not required; only go if you don't understand the homework he assigns (but never collects). I recommend the class if you are a linear thinker, otherwise the class will be hard, and Prof. Scales will not be much help.
This class is not for everyone. As stated earlier, you will do better if you are a linear thinker (I'm not at all, I was often lost). He doesn't actually teach anything and fully expects you to teach yourself. In class, he only goes over homework. Attendance is not mandatory.
You need to want to read this stuff. I promise 90% of it is great reading and actually interesting. His lectures just tear through concept after concept which is hard to keep up with, but if you read the required reading it is just review. If you like philosophy, you'll enjoy this class. Don't expect to have your hand held. Just enjoy the class.
nice guy. very tough material. if you are not into logic, do not take this class. attendence is not mandatory. but if you dont go to class you are SCREWED. 3 grades- 2 midterms and a final. like i said if you miss a few classes (which is easy to do) you will fall very, very far behind int he caurse material. DO NOT TAKE UNLESS YOU NEED THIS COURSE.
It was really easy to fall behind in this class, because attendance wasn't mandatory. However, if you go to class, he displays the concepts so painfully easy. However, be sure to not fall behind. It's easy to get lost. But if you do the work and go to class, no reason you can't get at least a B. It's easy to get help from him outside of class too.
2 mid-terms and 1 final. Really easy to get an average over 100. If you dont get something he will set up appointments where he will drill it into you until you get it. If you like logic puzzles you will have no problem with this class!
Im a CJ major, so this was not in my field at all. I failed the first exam and every quiz but decided not to drop it like half the class did. After meeting with him he was extremely helpful with my final paper and gave me lots of notes on it. Got an A on that and after lots of studying a 102% on the final. Challenging class but great proff
Scales definitely knows what he's talking about. Class is pretty easy. Do the online homework and go to class and you'll do fine. Seriously...he gave us an extra 5% on the first exam and 18% on the second. Definitely take this class if you need it.
Scales is one of the best Professors I've had at TU (I'm a senior). He teaches in a manner that is easy to understand, shows a clear mastery for the material and cares about the students. He is a fair grader as well. Very nice person. Although, this class may not be for everyone. I am so pleased with my experience that I am taking him again.
Scales has been highly influential to my philosophical thought and also has given me such a greater understanding of the analytic tradition. I recommend him to all who are interested in the subject, he is an highly intelligent man and a gifted teacher. If I go to grad school, or get in, he will be largely responsible. I am in debt to this man.
Funny and nice guy, but in my opinion, he doesn't prepare you well enough for exams, he tries to do study guides, but never completely goes over it and doesn't email you back if you try to ask him questions later. He types up all the notes for you, but they don't completely cover the extremely detailed answers he wants. not that great of a class.
Business majors may not like what he's saying and may find him slightly dogmatic. This seems pretty obvious is you're a philosophy major and understand the material. Yeah, he drags unregulated capitalism through the mud. It's an ethics class, not a "let's figure out how to make a ton of money as fast as possible through exploitative methods" class.
Cool guy. If you like logic it's fun.
Logic isnt for everyone, but DR Scales makes it as interesting as possible. I really enjoyed this class due to Dr Scales enthusiasm and involvement. There is homework and sometimes its pretty difficult, but in my opinion, the homework really helps when it comes time or exams.
Scales has earned the title of my favorite professor at Towson. The class itself could be a bit confusing, but if you listen to what Scales has to say, you should be fine.
Scales was a pleasant surprise sub when my original teacher got sick. He does everything he can to explain the concepts without babying you. Tons of extra credit, gives out practice exams that mirror the real ones. And a very interesting and funny man besides. I was lucky to have had him take over our class, definitely recommend taking him.
Professor Scales is a good professor however the content covered in class is extremely hard. You have online homework in addition to textbook homework. Expect to spend at least 2-3 hours on homework. This is a class where you either understand it or you don't. This is by no means an easy A. I wouldn't recommend taking this as a core credit.
Very hard if you have no idea what "logic" is. Complex problems, you either get it or you dont. 2 midterms and a final. homework everyday - bookwork and online work. Plan to spend a lot of time on homework and studying.
Very hard content, homework everyday, hard tests
After you do the first exam, it gets so hard. I had a hard time understanding the material a little bit after the middle of the semester. He didn't do a good job at explaining the material even if you asked him to explain. Nice guy though. Wouldn't really recommend him.
Demeaning. Explains things well but seemed impatient at times because students didn't know about content before they learned about it: the objective of education seemed to make him upset before it occurred among students.
Intro to logic was a fun class. Logic is definitely geared towards people with minds that already lean towards math or computer science. After all, that is the basis of those studies. There were tons of opportunities for extra credit, and I finished the course with over 100% total grade. Funny and quirky guy. I enjoyed the class.
Logic was really hard for me and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone, subject is difficult unless you love math. Prof is super sweet but lots of work, and difficult. I ended up with an A but still wouldn't suggest it. He gives an exact outline of the test before each one.
This class is surprisingly difficult. It's one of those classes that you either get or don't get. A lot of people end up dropping the class. Scales assigns a lot of homework, mostly on Aplia. The Aplia really helps your grade and is essential practice. Scales is socially awkward but hilarious. It's a challenge but I recommend taking his course.
The material is unusual, but there is no reason for one to fail Scales' class. He is such an amazing professor- really good at explaining, & will take any amount of time to review material you don't understand. It seems like a lot of work in the beginning, but after the first week you can cut the work in half. One of my favorite freshman classes.
Decent guy who is clearly into the material but in class we get into long tangents that aren't really helpful. Reading are dense and boring and I've managed to get away w/o reading but its obviously better if you do. Review session before the midterm was amazing super clear then and will help with papers but is a really tough grader.
Not helpful at all. Very socially awkward makes it hard to understand where it is he is going with his explanations.
Scales is not a bad professor. He explains things perfectly. However, if you don't show up to class, good luck. It's something you cannot really teach yourself. If you show up, you can get a 100% but if you don't, most people fail. He's nice, is always available to help, assigns homework based on lecture, and normally lets you out early. I loved it
This class is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. Logic is something you either get, or you don't. He is an OK professor, he gives practice tests and says the exams will be similar, and then they are completely different. He assigns aplia homework assignments, which are also VERY difficult. He is a very strict grader. This class sucks. He doesn't take attendanc
He's a very nice professor and he is always willing to help you if you need extra help. It is true that you either get it or you don't. For me it was not hard and I think most people could agree. If you show up to class and ask questions when needed you'll be fine. The exams are also EXACTLY like the practice test, same format and everything.
its true when they say, logic is one of those classes you either get it or you dont. I understood the problems and really enjoyed working on the aplia homework and would receive 80-90% on that. He gives practice tests before each test which is very helpful. Scales is an OKAY professor, most things you learn yourself through the homework, not him.
Attendance only taken like the first month of class but basically tells you if you get it, dont come unless you want practice. HW is from book(not graded) but asks u to write on board so do it. Aplia is a PAIN and takes HOURS. It is different from how it is taught in class and counts toward your grade so if you dont do well on it, good luck.
easy class. Lots of debate and discussions. He gives pop quizzes from the readings. The reading are long at times and he normally gives you 5 or 6 homework questions and those are normally the same exact questions on the quiz . very nice and funny guy. he does take attendance. material can be difficult to understand if you don't participate
He is absolutely horrible. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. He is NO help in or outside of the classroom, he offers no extra credit, and is incredibly uneducated and rude. Get ready to fail.
Let me tell yall something .do NOT take this class unless it is a requirement for your major. This class made me cry for 3 months nonstop in and out of class. Theres 3 exams and the aplia homework that goes towards the grade. The aplia homework literally takes HOURS to do. Professor Scales tries to explain it but logics in itself is hard.
Do not take this class unless it is required for your major. Most of the course, you are left to do things on your own. I suggest you find a friend and really focus on the homework assignments together. Scales is a tough grader, if it isn't his definition exactly, points are taken off. The tests are stressful and material is confusing. Do not take
PROF. SCALES IS SO SWEET AND GENUINE. HE WILL GO OUT OF HIS WAY TO HELP HIS STUDENTS SUCCEED. HE TRIES HIS BEST TO EXPLAIN DENSE CONCEPTS AND IS OPEN TO STUDENTS PROVIDING ALTERNATIVE STRATEGIES. THE CLASS IS CAN GET PRETTY CONFUSING, BUT IF YOU PUT IN THE WORK/EFFORT, YOU WILL BE MORE THAN FINE. HIS PRACTICE EXAMS ARE JUST LIKE THE REAL EXAMS.
One of the best professors Ive had. The class was lecture and discussion heavy. If no one reads its a boring class. He often asked our input on grading/amended work if students argue well (when we talked about not wanting pop quizzes he changed them to take home reading assignments). Treated students like equals and gives HIGH STAKES extra credit
Nice guy, but he really doesn't teach you anything. He just kind of does the problems in class and just expects you to understand. Didn't really follow through with any outside help I asked for, he just called me out in class for not understanding. Maybe I'm just not cut out for logic, but don't take this course if it's not really your thing.
I do not recommend at all. his lectures are so confusing, after doing the hw you get a good understanding, then you show up to class, and he completely twists everything and explains it in the most complicated and confusing ways where you become lost.
His lectures confused me and be prepared to participate each class. He is a strict grader, random quizzes(easy), a confusing 10-page paper, midterm and final (both timed and a lot of work). Studying is the hardest part for this class. He will meet with you if you have any questions.
A very chill professor that offers lots of practice during lectures
Professor Scales is nice, however, you can tell that he hardly wants to even be teaching the class. He seems uninterested and therefore, doesn't make himself very available to students outside of class if they need help. Not good at responding to emails. Doesn't really teach, does practice problems in class and expects you to understand.
This was the WORST Professor I have ever taken at Towson. He refuses to see your work from a perspective of a student trying to learn something new and instead he grades super harsh. Hes completely unreasonable and I would avoid taking him at all costs!!
The professor is not helpful at all, he doesnt want to teach is often condescending , I wouldnt take him. There were so many papers for low points , you cant ask questions without feeling dumb. Hes very unreasonable, dont take him
I've seen so many bad reviews about Prof Scales but he really isn't that bad.. He is very caring for his students and always makes sure you get what he is trying to teach. Every class is a time to practice problems from the homework. His class is very challenging though: it's like discrete math. So if you like that, take him.
If you know whats good for you, you will not take this class. This is my hardest class this semester and I'm a biology major. He gives so much work and it's one of those things you either get or you don't. Just don't do it, take ANY other core, a 101 course should not demand this much time.
Lots of work required. He expects you should know things at his level. Had to remember DBs were due every month yet it was in fine print on the syllabus. Class organizations was scattered and felt overwhelming. In-class pop quizzes easy. During finals we had to do a 9 p paper, discussion boards, and a final exam. Final paper criteria was unclear
good professor and very understanding of things, but this class is way too hard to take, its time consuming and lots of hw on mind tap. read ur book before doing maintops, it may help. but overall I would not take this class if I would've known how hard it was.
He does examples in class and wont move on until majority of the class gets it. Hes very easy to talk to so asking him questions is easy. Hes a very reasonable and nice teacher. Class participation is required cause hell call on you, he just goes down the line. Dont worry if you make a mistake, hell just walk you through it. 10/10 very nice.
This professor made what should be an easy entry level class arguably the hardest class i've ever taken. I've had more homework in this class then all of the other classes combined and i'm taking three other level 300 classes. he assigns homework on the week of tests. If i took this class freshman year I would have changed majors. I'm a LWAC major.
He is a really difficult teacher for a INTRO TO LOGIC class and the hardest class I have ever taken. A Ton of hw for a freshman level class, this Teacher doesn't know how to teach just reading off the website where all the content is and he really doesn't know how to teach. IDK how he's still a teacher pls be careful and pick any other teacher.
I have mixed emotions about Professor Scales. We do a lot of in-class practice and his practice tests are identical to real ones. However, he is one of those teachers that expects immediate results. Like dude, we just learned this stuff. But the content is really hard in general, do not take unless you need to for your major.
Mr. Scales is a genuine, nice, caring guy and wants us to succeed. My only issue with him is that I feel like he expects immediate results after showing us a couple of example problems. Give the class some time, see how you're doing and then go from there. He offers extra credit, homework is all on mindtap. Personally I wouldn't take again.
the final grade is based off of homework and the exams so do the work. Little extra credit opportunities. Tutoring helps. Attendance didnt feel required but just go for the practice
There were only a few tests and there were many homework assignments. Those were the only grades but he always offered extra practice and always wanted students to meet at office hours. The class wasn't too memorable and you don't really take anything away from it, its just a basic core 5 and there probably are better classes to take for that core.
First: He doesn't know how to teach, he would go over the entire powerpoint in less than a seconds and the next thing you know he would go into the question and answer section on my mindtap for the topic that he taught in a seconds. He aspects you to know it or learn it very fast.
He is very disorganized
Professor Scales seems like a nice guy, but the class is extremely tedious. Attendance is optional and when you go to class, he calls on every single person every class. I don't like being called on randomly so I don't usually go, and I don't think I'm really missing much. I would be just as confused on the subject matter if I did show up.
Rambles
everything you see below this comment is true. He goes over material WAY too quickly and expects immediate results. tests are unnecessarily hard and the grading criteria are awful. why does every student start with 750 points? why cant I see my ACTUAL grade on black board? all things that can be fixed but refuse not to. avoid. take ETHICS instead.
do not go to this teacher, he failed me towosn please fire him
After the second week, I stopped attending class because all he did was read from PowerPoint slides and call on people to answer practice problems. He grades his tests unnecessarily harshly but does curve them. If you don't understand what's happening within the first week of the class, chances are you won't understand anything after that.
Come to Class! If you come to class you'll most likely do well in this class. He reads straight from the textbook, then immediately goes in to practice problems. He doesn't go into detail, he explains what he's doing as if you should already know. If you can take something else to fulfill this core DO IT! This a very confusing class.
Very laid back person but would not take a class by him again. However he cares about improving the quality of his class. If you don't show up unlikely you are going to pass. PRACTICE PRACTICE all material. Curves exams within reason but grades harshly.
Professor Scales has a rigorous teaching style, but engaging with his methods can pay off. Use Unstuck study, the textbook, and study sessions to succeed in this challenging yet rewarding course.
Professor Scales is a very nice man and he cares about his students. However the class he teaches is extremely hard which makes people believe he is the problem. He is a great professor who tries his hardest to make sure the whole class understands. But logic is super difficult to understand. I would say get a tutor if you take this class.
The class is easy until you see letters and symbols. Trust me, buckle up once you see those because you're going to have to grind so much just to stay somewhat afloat. There is so much homework as well however he curves almost every test and offers a TON of extra credit. If you're more math brained you'll do alright, if not I'd advise to not take
Hardest level 100 class and its not even close. I showed to class 95% of the time and didn't understand it at the level we were tested on, I'm not stupid either. It's the same thing as discrete math which if you dont know what that is look it up, its 10x harder than calc concepts. Find any other core to take cause this one is awful
This is my second time attempting to pass this course and it has not gotten any better. He reads off the board and we just do problem after problem all class period. I do not feel like I am learning anything in this class 0/10 do not recommend.
Read each lesson prior to class. It will be so much easier to understand the content. He will answer any questions and explain things through, so ask! Usually doesn't move to a new problem unless the whole class understands. If confused, ask peers! The 1 or 2 smart ones will be bored, so they will be glad to help others.
The content was sometimes very difficult to understand. However, The professor did a very good job at tying to explain the content and get us to understand. When It came around to tests though, the grading was very tough. He would take off many points for small answers and rarely gave partial credit for a problem with over 45 moving parts.
You wont know your grade till end of semester. Exams are extremely hard. Hes a nice guy his class is just so hard
He's not horrible, but I would not recommend this to anyone. He's not the best teacher, and even with attending almost all the classes, most of the learning you do is on your own. The work itself is so tedious, so if you're trying to just earn a credit, I'd recommend another class. Also, you don't see your grade till the end.
His class is basically introducing a new topic and then doing practice questions for the rest of the week. His tests were super difficult, and he would ask questions that weren't taught AT ALLLLL. be preparted to be confused and surprised during the midterms and finals because it will be something u have never seen before. He is nice in class tho
