In order to get good grades in the class like A you read the textbook. The teacher is very easy and he never gives us homework. We select group of 5-6 people in the beginning and they will stick with you at the end of the class. Even if you do poorly on you test the group quiz cam bump you up really nice.
Great professor
Really nice professor who cares about helping students.
Showing up to class is in your best interest. There are many models to study that will be on exams. Steve is always there to help. He is very knowledgable and will help you personally until you understand. There is no homework. Short quizzes once a week. If you take time in class to go over models and use the book as a reference you'll do good!
Steve is a great professor and really cares about helping his students. He's always available and will always help you understand a concept that you find confusing. Attending class is needed to pass and studying outside of class will be very beneficial.
He is responsible teacher and always well prepared. During the COVID-19 time, professor Smith still made ppt presentation for us.
Steve is one of those rare college professors that truly cares about your success beyond school. He is a great instructor for every type of learner. During the COVID-19 pandemic he was accessible and worked hard to help us online. Go to class, read the textbook, and use the models. The tests are tough, there are quizzes each week, but no homework.
My favorite professor I've had by far. He cares about his students beyond the classroom and he always puts effort in to make his class the best it can be. The slides are helpful, and be sure to take notes. Show up to lab. Make sure you study.
Professor Smith is an amazing and helpful professor, who truly wants his students to succeed. He gives you a phone number that you can basically text any time of the night if you are having trouble and also does tutoring every week if needed. Going to class is mandatory to pass, the tests are mostly cadaver based. I would recommend Professor Smith.
I loved Professor Smith. The pandemic this year kind of screwed over his class but during a normal year this class would have been a breeze! He is so funny and loves to make jokes throughout the class. You get a lot of work done when you are present in class and he gives you a lot of time to look at the cadavers. Practice tests were always great.
Professor Smith is a great professor. His anatomy class is pretty much self paced so be ready to put in work. Anatomy is a difficult subject but with professor Smith of you put in the work and study there is no reason you shouldnt make it out with a decent grade.
If you have any questions at all hes there ready to help! He usually bumps up test grades! Hes really active on D2L and has a lot of information for you on there that is super helpful for the class! Highly recommend!
Taking anatomy at a university can be intimidating. I was pretty scared walking in this year but Smith is the type of professor that makes it easier on the nerves. You can tell he really knows his stuff but also loves what he does and is willing to help when and where he can. He made the experience enjoyable and I loved his class. Take him for sure
Overall, Professor Smith is a great professor.
I would take this class again in a heartbeat. He is always willing and available to help you do well in the class. I gave a difficulty of 3 simply because it was a science class. If I had not had professor smith, it for sure would have been a 5. I cannot recommend this class enough.
Stephen Smith is now, and will always be, my favorite professor. I seriously looked forward to going to class every time. He always has something to say and is more than ready to help you with whatever question you may have (even if its not about anatomy). He has wonderful TAs that were more than willing to help as well. Attendance is recommended
Love professor smith. Great guy and knows what hes talking about. You get to use real cadavers so you really get to work on what you will with your future medical careers. Highly recommend
GO TO LAB AND UTILIZE THOSE TIMES TO LOOK AT CADAVERS! MAKE FLASHCARDS, and repeat to learn them! and you will get 100105% He gives bonus questions too!
The class itself is not very difficult, but you'll need to put effort into it. If ya goof around and skip class, it will be difficult to pass the class. Stephen teaches it in such a way that it won't be full on blind memorization (35% memorization, 65% understanding material). Being able to look at and study cadavers was also helpful and awesome.
Literally my favorite professor of all time. Steve is such a genuine guy who really cares about all his students. He jokes a lot but honestly knows his stuff. But PLEASE if you take this course go to open lab / spend as much time in the lab as you can. Steve wants everyone to succeed but you cant mess around with anatomy. you have to work for it.
Great Professor! Really encourages learning the material in a fun way and creating a fun class environment.
Hes amazing! As long as you pay attention and study the cadavers youll do great!
Mr. Smith did his best to make a difficult subject fun, and I appreciated him for it. The cadaver labs are a privilege, study hard!
He is a great professor, very knowledgeable and his class is fun to be in. He does offer extra credit which is super nice. I would gladly take another class from Professor Smith. 10/10 recommend.
Great professor & is willing 2 help when u need it. He probably lectured 5 times out of the semester. Class periods are time 4 u 2 learn & study in whatever way u want. Class isn't mandatory but u want 2 be there 2 see models & cadavers. Only 4 tests & 10 quizzes will make ur grade. He is big on not failing u if u try. 5 extra credit possible.
Attendance isn't mandatory but if you wanna do good, GO! This was my favorite class. It was really just studying for the exams. Quizzes are take home and easy.
He's a good professor but he did not lecture that much in class. It is very heavy on memorization.
Great professor, really want his students to pass. Show up and study hard or you won't do go, one bad test will mess up your grade for the class
Dr. Smith is positive and keeps your engaged. He shoots you straight from the hip on what to study for on the exams and he answers any question you may have without making you feel small. He likes answering questions! Smith doesn't lecture a lot which is something I liked about his class. he lets you spend your time the way you want to in lab.
He provides a list of terms for each test that you will need to study on your own inside and outside of class. Had I studied more I would have had a higher grade but I took that first test for granted. You will have one or two lectures for each of the four sections and he keeps things interesting. He also provides bonus options on each test. STUDY
Best biology professor ever! Very understanding, helpful, and funny! You will not regret having him as a professor!
Professor Smith is the best anatomy teach you're going to find on this campus. He listens to your questions and answers them in detail. There was only maybe 4 lectures the whole semester and the rest of the time was spent exploring the lab and learning from models and cadavers.
I loved his class. You will have a partner or group you stick with, so if you tend to work individually this is probably not the best class for you. However, he is very nice and will explain anything to you if you ask. That being said the Exams are worth about 80% of your grade and are HARD.
Professor Stephen is great. He can be reached via text, which is more efficient than e-mail in my opinion. Attendance is a must as group learning is vital for success. This has been one of the best classes I have ever taken taught by an easy-going and amazing instructor. I highly recommend this class.
Very helpful and understanding. Willing to go the extra mile to explain things. Makes class interesting and fun. Would definitely take his class again.
Mr Smith is wonderful professor always ready to answer your questions, if i could turn back the hands of time i would do this course all over again with him, he's always so kind and really inspires me to do better.i highly recommend him!!!!
I had Dr. Smith for anatomy. He is humorous and his teaching style is very Laissez-Faire; he has 4 sections with about 2 quizzes and a test per section. He will give a lecture on the first day or two of a new section, then from that point on its your responsibility to study the models. Only advice I can give is to STUDY THE CADEVERS!
I definitely recommend taking his class, you can tell he cares and wants everyone to pass the class. Take advantage of lab classes and pair up with someone to study!! Great class overall!
Participation is not mandatory but you really should go to class. There isn't much lecturing, mainly self teaching with the lab time given and models/cadavers provided. Not an easy A, teacher is present but the tests were difficult.
Prof Smith is a funny professor and is willing to answer any questions! This class requires studying and heavy memorization. I tend to learn better studying on my own and it payed off! Cadavers are majority of the questions so always come to class and participate. If you study you will get a good grade.
He is literally the best professor I've ever had! He and his TAs were so helpful and will give you tips and tricks on how to remember stuff on the cadavers and models! This class requires dedication to studying. You will get an A if you stay during class and study! 100000000000/10 RECOMMEND
Prof Smith is the best prof out there! Anatomy class is heavy and just a lot but he makes it fun and helps in anyway you need. Be ready to stay the whole class period and focus on not just the cadavers but the models and you will do just fine!
Prof Smith was amazing. Anatomy is a very dense class and there is a lot to learn. Smith gives you everything you need up front and you get to learn it however suits you best. He was very helpful when it came to asking questions. If you are going to take his class you will deff have to study. I would 100% take his class again.
The class itself is extremely hard but he wants to help. If you put the time in you will get the grade you want.
Anatomy itself is hard but Professor Smith try's his best to make sure you succeed and always encourages you to try your best. Favorite class by far very interesting and hands on.
Great Professor! Very helpful and involved in students learning. You have to put in work because it is a hard subject but he helps the most he can!
I had Prof. Smith for Human Anatomy w/ Dissection and he was wonderful! He was straight and to the point in lecture, funny, and has good tips for studying. I would absolutely take his class again. The most important thing is that you don't ever miss class, you can fall far behind very fast. If you show up and pay attention then you'll pass easily!
Steve is amazing!!! He is the best professor i've ever had. There is a lot of studying you must do outside of class if you want to do well, but that's just anatomy. Steve provides ways to help you tho and give you plenty of time during class to do your thing and study and ask questions, all of the above. He's a great person as well! 10/10
Such an amazing professor he is always walking around checking up on how you're doing and helps explains where everything is. Funny and chill guy. As long as you study on your own time and use class time wisely you'll be fine.
Steve is AWESOME!!! I would love to take him again if I could! He is very personal and will always make conversation with everyone. He always walks around and will be there to help! HIGHLY recommend him for your anatomy professor!!!
One of the best professors I have ever taken, anatomy is difficult however he made it bearable and fun. He also helps alot
Professor Smith is down to earth, knowledgeable, and VERY reasonable. He makes you feel comfortable with the difficult course material and is always available to help. 10/10 would recommend.
Anatomy was very challenging, definitely go to class and study outside of class. Use the Quizlet he recommends to study, it is very helpful and pretty close to what he expects you to know. You will learn best if you ask all of the questions you have and work with others in the class. Overall it was an interesting but tough class.
Professor Smith is a great professor. He cares about his students and our outcome from his class. This is definitely not a blow off class. There is a lot of studying that is involved and being in class is essential. You have to make the best out of it for yourself and professor Smith will work with you.
Professor Smith is one of my favorite teachers I've had in college. He cares a lot about his students outside of class. He really wants his students to excel and gives you every resource necessary to do so. Your grade will reflect how much you put in to the class. He gives extra credit opportunities on every exam. I highly recommend him.
Prof. Smith was an excellent professor, the content was a lot but he did a great job of making sure everyone understands the material. If you want to do good in this class, you need to show up to class and study quite a bit in your own.
He is a very good professor as for the content it is difficult to learn and very broad. You will need to study a lot both in your free time and in class!
Dr. Smith is a phenomenal professor for anatomy. The class can be overwhelming at times and you may need to put in a lot of outside of class work to get the results you want, but Dr. Smith consistently keeps the class enjoyable and made me actually want to be in the class.
Professor Smith is a wonderful professor. He teaches so that you can truly understand vocabulary and know the material. If you are on any sort of pre-health track you should take this class. Professor Smith truly cares about his students and he will help you succeed. Go to class + put in the outside study time and an A is attainable!
Professor Smith's class was truly amazing. The way the lectures were worded and organized helped me learn all the material. Majority of the class is just looking at models and cadavers. Professor Smith is also funny and very social. He makes classes as interactive and informative as possible while trying to not make them boring. Had a great time!!
Overall he is a great professor, with good intentions for you to succeed. Attendance is crucial in doing well, and he does his best in explaining the materials to where it makes sense to the average.
He's an overall really nice guy and I would 100% recommend. The quizlet he will give you is really great for the first 2 exams, but make sure to use the cadavers and the models as much as possible. Show up and stay the whole class period length and I can say you'll get an A without too much difficulty
He is a fantastic professor. I would 100% recommend taking his class. helps you understand the material. you will have to attend class and stay the whole class period. you will have to study outside of the class.
Highly respected and knowledgeable. Willing to take time to show you and help you understand. He is the type of professor you need with a very diverse background and skill set. His style of teaching helps you learn the subject matter and be able to apply it in real situations.
Great professor he cared about us learning. Tests were heavy because you need to memorize a lot of things. Don't be afraid of the cadavers please look at them. overall good class recommend!!
Great professor and genuinely cares about your success. Attendance is not mandatory, but you absolutely should go to class every day. This is your main study time. You will also have to study lots outside of class because there is a lot of material, but if you apply yourself and work hard, Professor Smith will work with you to get the grade wanted
Smith is a great professor. There is a lot of material so attendance is important. It is important to stay on top of work and studying. Smith is very helpful and wants to help you get the best grade possible. He cares about his students and their success in the class.
Stephen is very present during class and especially labs he is always happy to answer your questions no matter how many times. Overall he is a great instructor
Stephen is a great professor, he is very much present in class and is always more than happy to answer any questions
Steve makes an effort to check in on everyone in class and if you ask questions he will answer them, definitely get the most of Steve by asking him lots of questions!
Steve is very passionate about teaching and anatomy. He truly wants everyone to do their best and will do what he can to help you get there! While attendance is not mandatory per se, the lab time with models and cadavers (if available) is CRUCIAL. Don't be afraid to ask questions or have him explain away, he lives for it.
Steve is funny and passionate when it comes to teaching anatomy. Be ready to learn just a little more than the other classes and to put in the hours necessary to do well in the course (regardless the professor) hard work is 100% necessary for this course
Steve only lectures on the first day of each unit. Take as much time as possible to look at the models and cadavers. Steve will answer any questions you have, but you have to ask them. You have to put in a lot of effort to memorize EVERYTHING! There are no assignments, quizzes won't make or break your grade. Test grades are all that matter.
Most of the class is personal Lab time with Professor Smith there to help you with any questions. Quite passionate and cares about the material and students. This class is really driven by the student, the grade you get is reflective of how much work you put in. However, he will be there to help.
This class requires a lot of studying. Spend as much time as you can with the cadavers and models for that unit. Professor Smith provides plenty of time to use the lab that you find best. Anytime you have a question or need clarification Professor Smith is more than willing to help and does it with a great attitude.
Dr.Smith made anatomy so simple that I highly recommend this course. He goes above and beyond expectations. He is available and willing to explain until you get it. The class is very interactive. Put in a little bit of effort and you get an easy A. I like the checklist he provides because more than 80% of the exams come from that.
Steve wants his students to succeed! The material in Anatomy is a lot, and its nearly all self-study, but you are given opportunities for bonus points and quizzes. Plus, he's always walking around and eager to help you out. I would take this professor again.
This class is tough but you can def make an A. Use your time in class wisely to study the cadavers and models. I recommend taking pictures of models, using quizlet to get familiar with terms, and finding a study buddy. Steve is an amazing teacher. He is always open to questions, genuinely passionate about anatomy, and is overall really chill.
Steve is prob the best professor I have ever had. The class is tough to begin with but Steve gives helpful tips for studying. He has a couple of lecture days at the beginning of each unit then the rest is left for you to study which was really nice. I definitely recommend taking Steve!!
Steve is awesome, but you will be responsible for learning 99% of the material on your own.
Use must do the work but he will lead you with his wealth of knowledge.
Steve is a great professor and genuinely cares about his students. The class is obviously not easy because it is anatomy, but as long as you put in the effort and study it is do-able. There is lots of extra credit and bonus. 10/10 reccomend and would take him again. Plus he's funny.
His class is not boring and he's always ready to help out. You have to study hard to pass but he tries his best to make sure his students don't get overwhelmed. He is a great professor.
He is a nice guy but only does quizzes and exams. Quizzes are only worth 10 points while exams are worth 100, so if you mess up there probably won't be a come back. Barely lectures and makes you learn it on your own basically.
He is very helpful and wants you to succeed but he barely lectures. A normal class day is coming with a computer and then looking at models and the cadavers for three hours. You only have a few graded assignments so you have to do well on the tests in which you do not have a word bank and have to label everything from the top of your head.
Steve is very passionate about anatomy. He is always willing to help with any questions needed. Use your time WISELY with the cadavers and the models. Not a lecture heavy course whatsoever, so if that is your vibe I definitely recommend his class. He is funny and makes things interesting! Study hard and you can definitely make a good grade!
He is not a lecture heavy teacher which meant the student had to learn most of the material on their own. I personally loved this approach because it allowed me to learn the best way I saw fit. With that being said, the grade you receive is based off your own work ethic. He was more than happy to answer questions. 10/10 professor! Highly recommend!
Be ready to show up to class and teach yourself all of the models and cadavers as soon as you can. He is pretty nice and will help you with anything you need. Make sure to attend class so you can spend as much time as possible learning everything you can. Not a class you can just sit by in.
Professor Smith is always willing to help with any questions needed. Make sure to attend class so you can spend as much time as possible learning everything you can. Use your time WISELY with the cadavers and the models. Not a lecture heavy course. He is funny and makes things interesting to learn Study hard and you can definitely make a good grade.
Professor Smith is a very kind and funny professor. Class is not lecture heavy at all but definitely use your time wisely with the cadavers and the models. Definitely not a class you can just sit through and expect to pass. Study time outside of class is crucial as well
This class was difficult, but Professor Stephen makes it fun and easy to learn the material. He gives out extra credit and is always available to help if you have questions. Studying outside of class is crucial if you want a good grade. I would definitely recommend taking him for this class.
Professor Stephen was really nice, and I recommend taking his class. Anatomy itself is already difficult but he was there the whole time willing to help and explains it to you until you understand it. I do recommend studying outside of class it will help. GO TO CLASS, it will reflect in your grade.
Stephen Smith is great at teaching anatomy and is always there to answer questions. Doesn't lecture alot and class time is used to study models and cadavers. Attendance is important and beneficial in learning the material in this class. Overall great professor and class.
Steve is a great professor but be aware, that 80% of the class you will spend studying on your own, in class, going through the cadavers, models, and pictures. Attend class, ask Steve many questions (he loves it when you do that), and don't fall behind.
Anatomy can be a difficult subject if you don't take the time to properly study. You are given all of the tools and resources to succeed and so you need to utilize them. It's interesting being able to put the material you learn into practice.
Professor Smith is very organized and lectures very well when he does. Most of the class you are learning the material on your own but he will answer any questions you have. He also grades spelling.
Steven is such an amazing professor and he has his own unique way to teach student. I am so glad my advisor picked Steven to be my professor. He always has time for his students and so clear on what you supposed to study.
Professor Smith made this class very fun, and easy to understand. He is very helpful and is always open to answering any questions.
He is a good professor and kind but very straight to the point. The anatomy class is all about teaching yourself which might come to you as a shock, as did I. He gives a little bit of extra credit but some are on tests which are hard(ish) questions. Being there is very important.
Steve is a great teacher that is willing to help you as long as you are willing to ask. The thing about anatomy is that it is a hard course that you sort of have to teach yourself in a way. However, if at any point you get confused and need help, he is always there to answer any questions you have and you can really tell he cares about his students
Stephen Smith is an awesome professor! It is a difficult class but if you're struggling, he will help you. This is a type of class where you have to teach yourself. He lectures a little bit at the beginning of class then for the rest of the class, you study the models and cadaver.
Professor Smith is a wonderful professor! He is very helpful, kind, and genuinely cares for his students. The material can seem heavy at times but as long as come to class and study, you will be fine! He is there to answer any questions you have, no question is a stupid question in his class! There are 4 exams and a few quizzes, highly recommend!
The material in this class is very challenging, but this professor is clear about what he will test over, will answer any question you have about the class, and will try to help you do well. As long as you show up to class and study at home you should do well.
This class can seem very daunting when you receive the content that will be on the exams. However you are given plenty of time but you must study diligently and outside of class. I highly recommend this class because it is tough and can get you ahead of everyone else in your degree field!
Prof. Smith always walks around the class answering any questions that anybody may have. Class periods are usually free time to study whatever we want to, i.e. models, cadavers, powerpoints, flows, etc. He is very personable and funny, and his tests are not hard. Before every test he gives an outline of what will be on the test.
Test heavy, be prepared to study like crazy
Steve's teaching style was very different, but I really liked it. If you don't show up or study hard you won't do good pointblank. This is a course where your grade is completely up to you if you show up, study, and stay for class. You can leave whenever you want, but it is so much easier if you stay the whole or most of the class time.
The class has a LOT of material to learn, but you have plenty of time to study IN CLASS. There are only tests and quizzes, so there are not a lot of ways to boost your grade (other than acing your tests). There are bonus points on each test and sometimes on quizzes. Use your time wisely and you will get a good grade.
Stephen is such a fun professor! He cares about your success and is always there to help you if you need. You are only graded by 10 quizzes and 4 exams, but he does offer bonus questions on the exam. Overall, he is such a funny professor and he is intentional with everything he teaches.
The class is difficult but completely doable. You could do fine without purchasing the textbook, but it has many useful pictures in it. Dr.Smith is very kind and personable. If you're struggling, he is always willing to help and answer any questions you may have. He gives you a clear outline of what will be on the exam, which is nice.
Smith was so great, a special teacher, and very funny. The tests are hard if you don't study outside of class; it is a fully effort-based class. Most of the class time was an open lab where you could learn on your own and ask as many questions as you need to. I fully recommend to take his class!!!
He is a very understanding professor and aims to help you pass.
I really enjoyed this professor's class. Make sure to take advantage of all the class time and open labs and you will be fine.
Great, funny prof. Class is difficult due to heavy material. You will have to study at home and attend class prepared so you can use your time familiarizing yourself with content in lab. Utilize the Prof and TAs!! Taking pictures of models + labeling them again and again outside of class helps. Study websites like Quizlet can help with spelling:)
Steve is great! I would definitely recommend him for anatomy. This is a hard class and does require lots of studying, but Steve is very knowledgeable and good at answering any questions I've had. The class is very self paced on studying, but Steve and the TAs are always there to help with what you're working on.
Steve is awesome! There's no reason to leave early because I always feel like I wish I had more class time. Majority of class periods are used for you to look at models, cadavers, etc. I always ask 1 million questions and he never makes me feel dumb for it. He can be lenient out about grading as long as it seems you know what you're talking about.
He's an amazing professor and is always willing to help you out. However, this class is A LOT. If you don't show up, WILL fail. There is a lot of material to learn and he doesn't lecture much, so it's all on you.
Steve is an amazing professor who is well respected at UCO. He is always willing to help out when needed. That being said, there is a lot of information to learn for this class. If you don't show up, you won't pass. The course is only graded on tests and quizzes, so you have to study hard to do well.
Steve is a great professor who is always willing to help his students and creates a great learning environment. He will not spoon feed you the answer but he will do his best to guide you in understanding the fundamentals. This class can be the easiest hard class if you put in the work.
Everything you need to know is explicitly stated in this class. Very hands on learning style and your grade is 100% dependent on the effort you put in. Few lectures here and there for more detailed concepts but mostly just using the time and resources available in the lab as a study hall.
Coming to class is important because his class style is a lot of learning it yourself by looking at models and the cadavers. He had a lot of helpful TAs and overall is a great teacher and I enjoyed his class.
failed the course; my own fault. this is my 3rd year at uco, smith is by far the best prof i've had within that time frame. he is ready and willing to answer any question you have. he doesn't just care about your grades, but also your well being. i'd take every course with him if i could.
Professor Smith's class is challenging, but he makes it manageable. Attend every lecture, study diligently, and utilize resources like unstuck study for test prep - it'll pay off.
I didn't pass the class but that was my fault. Professor Smith was an amazing professor. He made sure all the material needed was given. I would study every day for this class though, as long as you do that you will pass exams. Overall Smith has been my favorite professor because he cares about all his students passing and graduating.
Steve was awesome. He was very clear about what was to be expected, made the subject matter interesting and easy to understand. Provided resources and explanations at any time. Learning anatomy is really up to individual preferences but Steve sets you up for success and provides any and all help he can give. He's hilarious and we all love Steve.
STEVE IS AMAZING. We love Steve. He's accessible, funny, makes class interesting, and provides help whenever asked. Learning anatomy is really up to individuals and steve provides resources to encourage that. He lectures then gives us free time to explore and learn it ourselves which is great to be able to ask questions during lab time. He's great.
This class is very informational and very in depth. This class is test heavy and you are given a lot of information, so you need to study as often as you can. The professor will answer any questions that you have, but you need to show up to class so you can get time in the lab.
He was very receptive to questions and did a good job of trying to explain in different ways in order to understand better. He was receptive to talking and helping outside of class
The material was conveyed clearly. There was lots of hands on learning and there wasn't many lectures. He mostly had us learn on our own and didn't really teach unless you asked him about something. Overall, he was a good professor but be prepared for a LOT of information thrown at you at one time and a short time to learn it all.
Great teacher. Makes things easier to understand
Anatomy is hard because there is so much to try and learn. He does a great job being clear about what is expected in his class! He makes the class atmosphere very comfortable and seems to care. I recommend him for anatomy, just be prepared to spend time studying outside of class.
I LOVED him! He's a very caring professor and wants everyone to do well. He's willing to try different methods to teach BUT be prepared to study like you've never studied before. 400 out of 500 points are from the exam so you HAVE to do well on exams to get a good grade in this class.
Come to class, his style of teaching is different but it works. Definitely have to study and it can be overwhelming but he is so so helpful and picks great TAs. Please please do yourself a favor and take this course
This is an amazing professor, but it is a lot of on your own study time. If you take the time to study each day you will do well in the class! Make sure to attend class because a lot of questions on the exams are on the cadavers and models, however there is a lot of bonus on each exam.
Dr. Smith is very laid-back and kind. He is always willing to work with you. He's very funny and approachable. I never felt I couldn't ask him anything or that he wouldn't be understanding. Take his anatomy class! It's great! It is a lot of learning on your own, but it is anatomy. You'll have to find a great study tactic that works best for you.
Professor Smith is super caring and really wants his students to do well in his class. The course is mainly just exams but as long as you prepare outside of class, you will be fine. He does try to make the class interesting and tries to make you understand the concepts!
Great professor overall! He makes the information easy to understand and fun! Be sure to STUDY though!! Gives extra credit.
Really awesome and fun professor for a super interesting class. Very crucial to study, but he makes it digestible and easy to grasp. Steve keeps it fun and makes expectations very clear.
Wonderful professor and really interesting class! You really need to study, but he makes the class as easy to digest as he can and he's always available to help when you need it! Highly recommend
Memorization is key. Tests are over a checklist, so be sure to study. The professor is super cool and helpful.
Professor Smith is a very knowledgeable professor on all of his courses. If you want to pass the class you must study outside of class! Daily! If you do that it will be easy… if not, you will struggle. He is very funny, and has a little sass to him at times, but he's just saying what everyone is thinking. He gives many extra credit opportunities!
This course was difficult as there were massive amounts of information to learn and remember. The lecture time is minimal as majority of time is spent doing independent review of models and cadavers. He goes around the room asking students if they have questions or need assistance. He is soft spoken and difficult to hear at times.
This class is overall a difficult class. Minimal lecturing, but you need to be sure to use the cadavers, lab, and models. You are given a checklist on every unit, telling you exactly what you should know to prepare. He has a unique lecture style and is soft spoken at times. He has a fun personality to lighten the stress. Would take again.
This course is tough because there's a lot of information to learn and remember. Lectures are brief, and most of the work involves independently reviewing models and cadavers. If you put in the time to study outside of class, you'll do well. The exams are very straightforward.
Take this class! You get exactly what you get into it, so if you aren't a hard worker it won't be easy. There is a LOT of information (just like any anatomy course), but he makes it very clear what you need and how to learn it. If you take the time in class to go over the material, and work outside of class, you'll do well!!
Professor is passionate about the material and is extremely knowledgeable. Also, he really wants each of his students to succeed. He provides bonus points on his exams, which help. He may also curve his exams. He has great TAs who know their stuff and are very very helpful.
Really good class! There's a lot to learn, but he explains exactly what to focus on and truly cares about student success. Bonus points and great TAs help a lot.
Pretty good professor.
Very good professor! Would definitely take his class again.
Amazing and fun professor, TA's are absolutely helpful and made the class infinitely easier.
Will always make sure every student understands the material being lectured on. Very funny. Would 100% reccomend.
Read and Study the material everyday. He is a great Professor!
Professor Smith was a great professor his class was easy and had great ways to learn the anatomy of the body. Would 100% recommend!
Professor Smith's classes aren't too lecture heavy until the last section. It is treated as independent study time which I really appreciated. When learning bones and muscles with active point and name and repetition it is very effective. The TAs were also all great and very helpful.
How you do depends on what you put in. Amazing professor. Very caring, understanding, and willing to help. Not a lecture heavy class, so you spend a lot of time on your own in lab. Professor and TAs very very accessible for help.
Professor Smith is honestly amazing. He explains things in a way that actually makes sense, and he's always there to help if you're confused or need extra support. You can tell he really cares. The TAs are awesome too, super helpful and easy to talk to. Overall, such a good class and really great people teaching it!
He's super nice and makes the class enjoyable and easy to show up to
Stephen Smith is a really good professor and this is a really good class. It is test heavy but we get the freedom to prepare any way we want to and he and the TA's are always there to help us. You need to study on your own and really know the material but it will help in the long run. Overall an amazing course and the TA's are amazing as well.
Professor Stephen Smith was a great anatomy instructor who made class enjoyable with his sense of humor. He was very helpful and always took time to assist students, especially during class. We had plenty of open lab time, and he was consistently available to answer questions and provide hands on guidance.
Mr. Smith is such an honorable and respectful teacher. This class is very challenging, but he gives you so much time to study and answers questions thoughtfully. He really enjoys Anatomy and the TAs do such an amazing job. Make sure to stay on top of material, lecture and labs and you'll do fine. Don't come to class thinking you can breeze by.
Very nice guy and is super good at explaining the subject. Took him in my first semester and did not feel like I had gotten screwed over. Almost always has a TA in class as well and they are pretty helpful. The class is set up that you kinda have to learn on your own though, so be prepared for that.
This course is hard, but the professor is very good at lecturing and helping students understand the criteria.
Stephen Smith is a an amazing professor! You can tell that he enjoys teaching Anatomy and has a great sense of humor. The material itself can be challenging but being consistent and asking questions can really make a big difference! His TA's are especially helpful and understand the material as well. I would highly recommend taking this course!
