It can be very easy or very hard. As long as you look at the material you'll get an A. If you don't look at it, you won't know what's on the test. Common sense, you get what you put into it. I didn't put much into it and still got a B.

he's the greatest teacher i've encountered at millersville. i loved going to phys. geography every day- and that class was the only class keeping me there this semester. he's an amazing teacher!

Thompson is a God among men. If you are willing to learn and take an interest in the material, he will take an interest in helping you. Has reasonable office hours and always helps you if you approach him in a "non-defensive" manner. Good Prof.

Kind of an ass and thinks he's hilarious, but overall he's a pretty cool guy. His tests are pretty easy if you study and all you do is take notes.

He's a pretty cool guy. Has a seating chart so he knows who his students are. He knows his stuff! Tests aren't bad if you study! The class is easy, show up, take notes, read notes, get an A. This is my first A of my college career! (Offers extra credit to those who haven't missed his class.)

Awesome professor! Tests are easy A if you read the book and come to class. Watch out though..he'll deduct points if you fall asleep in class. Fun prof who's willing to joke around a bit. He makes the material come to life to make it interesting.

VERY easy class. It you read his text it's an easy A. Plus he tells you what exactly is going to be on the test. Great professor!

dresses funny...definately a tree hugger...seemingly strict and heartless, but if you have a legit problem and bring it to him, he will do what he can for you. make sure you go to class or he WILL call you out in front of everyone and embarrass you like he did to me. basically, if you attend class at least 80% of the time this is an easy A or B

Very nice guy.

Not too bad. Gets off topic easily. Sells you his own book; that has mistakes and missing pages in it sometimes. Expects you to come to class all the time and pay attention, called one kid out on it. Test are usually fairly easy and he tells you what to expect and study for the most part.

Very good teacher. Keeps class interesting and is extremely knowledgable in what he teaches. His exams are not the easiest but they are managable.

I loved this class. He is a funny guy and makes the class interesting. I definitely advice taking this class... if you read the book (which he wrote himself) you are guaranteed a decent grade on the tests. not cummulative.

Don't let him burn you! Haha. Read his book and study it for the tests and you will be fine. He's kind of annoying about you being there exactly on time, so be in your seat five minutes before every class. Of course, if he looks over roll six minutes before class, well, then you're up the creek. Sorry.

Dr. Thompson is very funny. Just study his notes plus some out of the book for his tests and its an easy A/B, depending on how hard you study. I would recommend him.

There are two faces of Dr. Thompson - nice, helpful, funny, and insulting, rude, mean. If you read the book before class and pay attention, you should be in good shape. The tests consist mostly of material from notes (which are pretty straight forward) and some from the book. Overall, certainly a doable class that everybody can do well in.

I didn't think that I was going to like this class at all but he made it pretty interesting.I learned a lot from him. Attendance is mandatory and he takes it at the start so you can't be late. He tells you what is going to be on the test so make sure you study and you're good. Also, there's no final which I really like. And he gives 20 pts EC

Good profoessor overall, you just need to stay on his good side (ie. never be late, take good notes and participate only when he asks for questions/comments)or he will make you pay. Its mainly a note/lecture/exam course but he is clear on what he wants. Caution: He can get political at times, take it with a grain of salt.

Lectures are not boring, he makes class interesting. Is VERY opinionated, and says things without considering if he'll offend someone. You don't need to take notes because everything on the tests is from the book (he wrote it himself, so you use everything in it). If you have perfect attendance he lets you do an extra credit project. Good prof!

Excellent professor! People do not like him because they want an easy 'A'. Well that isn't how he teaches, he expects you to know the material. Very clear and concise, his tests are right from the notes and lecture, and if you attend 90% of the classes, you are fine!! Hope this helps.

Amazing guy, class goes by so fast, very entertaining. Attend class and pay attention and you can easily get a B, study and u get an A.

Thompson is awesome. He knows his subject well and is always eager to help if you go to his office hours. His tests are easy if you study a bit and homework is rare. He has an amazing sense of humor.

Be on time for his class!!!!! he loves quickly throught the material, but stops if you ask questions. was an intereting class, and he was helpful during office hours if you didn't understand. you take 5 tests and do one current event, and he offers xtra credit, so many opportunities to do well in his class

An okay guy. Be sure to show up on time, don't fall asleep, or be doing something other than paying attention or you will be marked absent. Homework is only given once in a while. Tests are multiple choice, but are fairly challenging so be prepared to do some studying.

there are multiple homework assignments, he is a very accessible professor. there are only three tests, they are hard, but he adjusts the grades. make sure you show up to class!

Great class! He is picky about what he wants on homework and how he wants it done, but he is always available to go over your assignments with you. I reviewed every homework assignement with him and got 100% on them all. Tests are hard, but he adjusts the grades and more weight is put on the homework. Lots of homework assignments and 3 tests

Everyone that didn't do good in his class thought that because it's a 100 level course it should be easy. It was easier if you just paid attention and actually read his book. He's a great professor that wants to give students the right to learn if they paid for it. He won't tolerate sleeping, talking, or anything else that's distracting.

Straight shooter, tells you what he expects, so just do it. 5 tests (no final)...you have to draw 3 maps, but they are very easy. Show up to class and take notes and you will be fine...tests come from the notes. Great Prof if you put energy forth.

This guy knows the stuff his teaching about, he can teach with no text book and still nail the stuff! He is very interesting and arrogant though! If you choose to take his class don't pay attention to his ego but the material he's teaching about and you will do fine!

Positives: Def. knows his stuff, can be very funny at times. The Negatives: He's arrogant, can be rude, and loves going to tangents about how much he hates religion. Would I take another class with him? Eh...maybe, probably not tho.

class is interesting. he's arrogant nd rude but its usually funny. class is fine as long as you take good notes and show up on time. he'll kick you out for texting or sleeping so dont bother. id reccommend this class though

I completely agree with previous comments. Interesting class, but only consists of lectures. Take notes and read the book before tests. Tests consist of multiple choice and true/false. Often had irrelevent questions on exams, but if you study the things he says to and then things from the book you shouldn't earn anything less than a C.
