By far the best English professor I've ever had. I've got no problems with English but hate writing and he kept it interesting. He had reasonable expectations and graded accordingly. Engaging teaching style, helpful and an all around great teacher!

Funy guy. If you speak a lot, you'll do fine. Essays aren't to bad, and he gives 100pts extra credit for just going to writing center. Also gives you and extention w/ no penalty on any ONE of the essays, which can be due @ end of semester.

Take him for any english class. He's clear, fun, smart. Made me want to finish college - not just Engish, but get my degree. You will work, but this is why you are going to college. He even helped me when I was hospitalized.

Great inspiration - this guy not only knows his stuff but LOVES it. Shades of Robin Williams in "Dead Poets Society"! Go to lecture, do the assignments - get an "A".

Great teacher. Loves to bust your balls, but all in good fun. If you don't like to speak up and particpate, look for someone else. Participation is a big factor here, but not a problem. Take his class.

he's a very, very straight forward teacher. alot of class participation is needed. he expects you to be a thinker not an observer.

Super easy- as long as you do the few assignments he assigns, youll pass. Nice guy too, even though he acts mean at first.

He seems a little harsh to his students, but it's only because he wants them to participate, something he stresses highly. He is a witty and insightful guy, and gives pretty interesting reading choices. He grades very easy on essays and tests. Do the work, participate and you'll be home free.

The greatest teacher ever! I took him twice i liked him so much. He seems like a mean guy at first but hes really not. His class is easy as long as you participate and do the few assignments he gives you.

Waterworth is a very easy English teacher. His essays only have to be 2-3 pgs. He is really big on class participation, if u don't participate your grade will suffer. He's really funny and knows his stuff.

All you really have to do in his class is participate. That is all he cares about. If you don’t it will bring your grade down a lot. Essays are easy. The guy is judgmental. He seems to think that if you miss one class you are lazy and wonders why you even bother to show up at all.

Easy grader, just do the work and say a few comments about the reading material, and you will get an A. But don't miss class!! He publically humiliated a girl, and then dropped her from his role sheet when she was late a 3rd time

SUPER F*CKIN FUNNY! If you have a bad sense of humor, hate to think, an dare easily offended don't take his class. Otherwise, laugh your ass off, enjoy the treats, and earn an easy A.

He is the funniest guy if you can appreciate his humor. This class is an easy A as long as you do the work (he grades easy) and speak up in class. Warning! He will pick on you if you do not like to participate in class discussions. But if youre going to be late to class its best to not go, he WILL call you out and probably make fun of you somehow

WOW,Dr. Waterworth isBY FAR the EASYEST ENGLISH 1A TEACHER IN THE WORLD, but you still learn the stuff, he is brilliant makes english some how actually fun, the topics you discuss are easy, the texts are real good, and the essays are simple as hell, he even gives you a 100 pionts just for takin ur essay to the writing center to have someone correct

I took 1A w/ Waterworth in the summer session and he is a very great teacher. Very analytical and makes it much more interesting that I thought. He can conference with you about your papers and will talk about the reading in class. Very helpful and humorous. Good luck =)

Dr. Waterworth is the most admirable Eng prof. in El Co. His reading materials contain issues such as race, divorce so that students will be able to learn not only English, but how to become a better human being. Yes, he is the easiest English prof. in El Co, but you learn a lot. Make sure to participate in class and do the e.c. The BEST PROFESSOR

I am not a American born and not good in english. I studied hard. He gives lots extra credits. I got A. I can say simply EXCELLENT professor. Highly recommended.

Read the stories before going to class. Be on time, don't be absent too often, never be scared to raise you hand. At first, he seems really tough, but ultimately he truly is one of the best teachers you will ever have. He is worth any headaches you may get along the way from his bizzarre sense of humor. Still, an amazing professor for sure.

Professor Waterworth is the best English teacher I've ever come across. He is hilarious and makes class fun and interesting. Participating in class is not scary in his class, and I've become more open minded and outgoing after attending his class. Very highly recommended!

Great profosser. Freaking hilarious. jokes about everything but is serious when needed. class is really easy, a few in class essays and 2-3 take home. Attendence is kinda mandatory or else he'll drop you.

If you're in the honors program, you'd be crazy for not taking his honors 1C class...show up, don't be a loud mouth, and get an A

Professor Waterworth is hilarious! He's extremely helpful and relatively easy. There were 3 in class essays and 3 take homes. He's very flexible and has a policy in which students are allowed one late paper without penalty (this helped me a lot). Attendance is a must, excluding a few days where you are allowed to choose which day to come to class.

Easy class. Participation is worth 20%. There were 3 in class essays, 2 at home essays, and one research paper. A couple extra credit opportunities. He seems scary the first day but gets less intense.

If you graduate ElCo without taking Dr. Waterworth's class, YOU are making the BIGGEST mistake in your life. I took 1A,1C & 15A with him, and I have to say Dr. Waterworth really prepare me to transfer to an Ivy League School. He makes class very interesting and inviting. His classes are very easy yet you learn a lot. The best professor in my life!!

Very intresting teacher when it comes to current topics. Allows students to discuss topics from our own views. I'm in the military as a reservist and believe that other military members or veterans would enjoy this class. The class is hard but doable as with anyother class.

Waterworth is legit..you learn alot..just do the work read what he assigns and your straight ..one of the most enjoyable english classes ive taken.

He's pretty cool and you learn a lot. At first he will try to scare you, but he means no harm, he just needs to know that people will respect him. Stay on his good side, do your work, AND PARTICIPATE OVER AND OVER!Review ur essays before turnin them in.

I loved this teacher. I took him for ENGL 1A & 1C. He made learning about english interesting and exciting. I really recommend his classes. He was very helpful when it came to writing his essays.If you verbally participate daily, you will pass this class. We read essays and novels - some were easy reads.

Waterworth is crazy but a great teacher, participate and don't jerk around in class and you'll enjoy the class. Participation is a big part of your grade, always bring your book and be on time, and don't fall asleep in class or else he'll make fun of you (which is hilarious for everyone else)I'd recommend him for anyone that wants to have an interesting English class.

Awsome teacher. Had for 1C and 15A. Papers are all MLA format, throw in an opinion, support your case and get an A. Mandatory class participation (large chunk of grade). Can have 5 abscences. Don't take thigs personnally his sense of humor is a little sarcastic, and you must talk in class, but if you can do that... TAKE HIM!

Really knowledgeable and has lots of experience - you could definetely learn a lot. Comes off surly, sarcastic and arrogant though and can definetely scare shy people. I enjoyed his class and he's a good professor but I just dont prefer his teaching style.

Probably the easiest English class you'll ever take. 6 essays (3 take home, & 3 in class), and about 5 group responses, where you and your group write a short response to a book (which can be very annoying if you don't like group work). Downfall: the class is too easy, to the point where you probably wont be prepared for university level English.

Dr. Waterworth is a GREAT teacher. For once I dont mind going to class. When he grades essays he doesn't just put a grade on the top-he types out a whole explination as to what he liked, what needs to be improved and other helpful pointers to help you improve. Be sure to participate, bring your book and read the stories and it will be a breeze.

He has a youthful sense of humor that makes class somewhat interesting but it makes you think, Am I in here to learn or what?! I passed his class last semester with an A, but now I'm struggling in 1C with another professor. No hw, NO EXAMS..just essays. MR. Waterworth is SUPER easy. Just go to class, participate (20% of your grade), and write essays (you have to have clear ideas and examples from the articles he gives you and the essays from the txtbk). Go to writing center for a 100 pt extra credit. No final exams whatsoever but you have to write a report that's worth about 400 points. Take him!

He's a fantastic teacher if you can take a joke. If you can't, find someone else. He may not seem very serious most of the time, but it's a really easy class that will actually teach you something. Participation is a must, so make sure that you speak up. If he doesn't know your name, you probably aren't participating enough.

Very funny and entertaining teacher! I learned a lot from the readings and discussions. Class time was mostly class discussion. Participation is important. Only homework is to read and do a few essays, one of which can be late with no penalty.

I loveeeee him! I took him for english 1A during the fall. I looked forward to this class. Plus he was barely there! [no class :) ] There are a few group essays, a few take home essays and a few in class. It's not bad at ALL. Essay topics are about things everyone can relate to and/or will have an opinion on.

He's opinionated, sometimes rude, and a total weirdo. His class is awesome, he assigns interesting texts, grades are based on essays. Class participation is key, read the text and talk a lot in class and you'll do well.

Dr. Waterworth is a phenomenal teacher. His class is never boring. He's entertaining but serious as well and you learn a lot. He's strict on attendance and you must do the work in order to pass his class. This is not a class for those who want to skate by. Oh and you will definitely need the textbooks he assigns. And you must participate.

In this class you will have 7 essays in total to turn in. 3 group essays which Consist of all in total of 50,50 and 300. Then you'll have two in class essays and finally you'll receive two research essays to take home. READ everything! It's all related to the essays. Yes you need to attend and buy the book. He serious about participation so do it!

Professor Waterworth can sometimes be blunt but I enjoyed his class. There are two essays, one research paper, one in-class essay, one group essay, and some group works. And participation is also a big part of the grade. Take your essay to him before turning it in and he'll be more than happy to help you. I ended up with an A in the class.

Waterworth is not only a clear and well-spoken professor but he also has a very dry sense of humor which makes the class interesting. Advice: take ALL of your essays to the writing center and PARTICIPATE a lot in class discussions!

I took Waterworth for both 1A and 1C and while this class may not be a piece of cake, as far as honors english classes go this is probably the easiest one offered. He genuinely cares about student improvement and wants to push everyone to succeed. PARTICIPATE in class, stay on his good side, and turn in everything and you should be just fine (:

I took him for English 1A and 1C, and I looked forward to every single class with him. He's genuinely a funny guy, refreshingly blunt, and a treasure trove of knowledge. His class is heavy on discussions of class material we'd annotate before. Not a lot of essays. If you want a fun, easy class where you'd actually learn a thing or two, take him.

I really liked him, he does have a certain dry, sarcastic humor that you have to get used to. He's just joking and you should take it with a grain of salt. He made class interesting and made you engage in critical thinking, he reads every essay thoroughly and gives great feedback. Plus he's an easy A with over 100 points of extra credit take him!

PARTICIPATION IS A MUST. This old man is very sarcastic, it's hilarious (sometimes too much). Being that he's old, that means he's old fashioned (not fashionable). He doesn't allow you to read the books from your phone or on a tablet. He will kick you out for not having the book (literally). Participate in class (not just attendance) & do your work

Hilarious! Every class meeting there is something to laugh about with his comments! He will kick you out if you don't bring your book. If you come late to class it will become a problem more towards the end of the semester. Attendance matters and so does class participation. Do the work if you want to pass!
