Stephen is a great teacher. Really knows his stuff. Fun. Have quizzes before every class so read the chapters. Tests are alright if you study.

Before I took this class I hated public speaking, but he made it fun! He has great real life experience which he incorporates in his teaching. He is very personable and showed a was sensitive to students needs and concerns. Whether you're looking to fill a GE requirement or prepare for your major, Professor Whyte is the man for you!

In this specific class, we prepared for our trip to DC for the PRSSA Regional Conference. Stephen had us do a LOT of work before hand but it was worth it. We were the most prepared student there!!!

Prof. Whyte is amazing! He has so much experience and wisdom! Very enthusiastic about PR. Quizzes everyday on each chapter--HARD! I never got 1010. My average score was a 6, but he gives so many extra credit opportunities to make up for them, and the tests are based off of the quizzes. A lot of assignments, but you'll learn a lot!

Having the chance to work with and study under Stephen Whyte is quite a privilege. It is rare to catch him not smiling or helping someone out. He's professional and fun. I feel like this is something most professors have a hard time balancing, but Stephen has got it down.

What I liked most about Stephen Whyte is that he speaks from experience. Not only did he provide examples from the class material, but he shared with the class real world examples in PR that he personally was involved with. It helped the course material feel tangible and very useful. He defines what an educational experience is meant to be.

He does a great job incorporating real-world scenarios into his lectures - NO BUSY WORK. The assignments he gives were related directly to what I wanted to do professionally. While attendance is not necessarily mandatory in his class, HARD daily reading quizzes and his lectures you CANNOT miss if you want to get a good grade in his class. Kind and respectful man. It is an amazing class and although you work for your grade, it's rewarding to get that A or B.

He is one of the best professors you will ever have! His class is set up so that you are able to take what you learn and actually apply it to a future job! All of the assignments give you actually experience and you can put them in your own portfolio. He has TA's grade the assignments. You don't actually get his feedback unless you ask for it.

He brings in good professionals from local businesses to share their knowledge about the field they perform in. You are allotted two absences before it starts really damaging your grade. Papers are simple.

I learned a lot in this class. He has his TA's do all of the grading but they were really good at giving you feedback and even checking the homework before you submit it. It was a good class overall.

Professor Whyte has the best Intro to PR class on campus. Professor Whyte REALLY knows his stuff. It is helpful that he has been in the field himself, because most of his examples are from his actual experience. You have to read the book prior to class to do well on the quiz. That's the ONLY reason I gave easiness a 3.0. DEFINITELY TAKE THIS CLASS.

I really enjoyed this class. I learned a lot of real world skills to apply in the workplace. This class was one you had to prepare for everyday and you had to keep up on assignments. Only complaint I have was how harsh the grading was on grammar. I always got marked down, but was never given specific feedback on how to improve on it.

It was great having professor Whyte, the class was not easy, he makes you work for it but you also learn a lot. He is accessible outside of class and ready to answer any questions you may have. He does not allow you to use your book or notes for exams so you need to study a lot before taking them. If you really want to learn take him, he was great!

I took this class online & in the Summer, it has been the hardest class I have ever done. If you communicate with him he will work with you. I felt like I was taking a 4000 level class instead of a 2300 level. I spent 9-20 hours a week on this one class. He doesn't cut anything out for the Summer. You will NOT find a better professor!! Stephen is not only the guy with every connection in the world, but he sincerely cares about you as a person and wants to help you succeed in life! This class was seriously life changing. You go on a trip and meet with professionals! You research them beforehand so you will know exactly who you are meeting.

Stephen Whyte is the best of the best! He truly knows his stuff. I had the wonderful opportunity of traveling to NYC with him and some other PRSSA students and it was so fun and inspiring. It was obvious that Stephen is respected in the industry and he has so many wonderful relationships and connections in the field.

If you want to succeed not only in college but also in life then you need to take a class from Stephen Whyte. I truly am a better person after taking his class. He really does care for the success of his students in and out of the class. There was a lot of work, but it was all beneficial and I will be able to use it in future jobs. He is the best.

I will do anything I can to take a class from Stephen. He is probably my favorite professor in the department. He ha taken a personal interest in my career even when I haven't been taking his class. If you haven't taken a class from Stephen you are missing out big time.

Stephen is the best professor. He has countless professional connections and has so much experience in the real world that really added to our education. He's also the nicest person you'll ever meet. His assignments are a little tough sometimes but they're meant to be things you'd do in the real world and I learned a lot from them.
