cool teacher! he uses today's example in class to help understand class material

His handwriting is hard to read. Don't give wrong answers, he'll insult you. Most used phrase: like you know...
Worst teacher in the world. Unclear, worst notes and insults you to your face. Full of himeself. Never take him.
Good teacher, easy marker. His test are easier then other teachers and once you get passed the chinese accent and understand him fully he will be wicked. He has great notes and his tests are based on his notes his handwriting is awful.
Insult Insult Insult, in your FACE. Mistakes found on the board are not welcome. Dont try to argue with him. Or simply dont take him. HaHa
cool teacher! he is a sweetheart guy and is trying to help students understand class material.
Brutal accent. Terrible notes. Ignores the book (so don't buy it). One of those teachers that are so amazed by how good they are that they don't realize that they are actually quite bad, you know the type.
One of the worst teachers i ever had!! I am a straight A student and he gave me a C. He has errors in his problems but refuses to discuss about it, he thinks he is perfect. For him 70% is good enough. We call him seventy wong. Biggest **** ever.

he is the worst teacher that i have ever seen. I really regret chosing his class. besides those aweful classnotes, what he said on the class are very simple, and if you followed him,you will get a big surprise on the exam.
His notes are not easy to read buthe is very logical in teaching. Just follow him and his notes, and his class is easy to understand.
Althrough his notes are awfully written, he is a good teacher. He explain some key examples to prepare you well for the exam.
Simple words that say it all. DO NOT take him.
Two words: First word, MISTAKE. Second word: NO. I would rather take someone else. He simply does not have gift, constructing dialogues.
Only positive thing about his methods were the notes he prepared for us. DON'T BOTHER BUYING THE BOOK FOR THIS COURSE, you aren't gonna use it! Other than that, I found he had difficulty in explaining the material and tries to make it seem easier than it is........
my lord, do not take this class
Summary: Mistakes, Anger & NO! Unilateral teaching. Messy notes. OMG. Dont give your comment / opinion even when you re asked to. He will be mad if you tell the truth. Just shut up & sit there like a dummy. Tough marker. Try.... at your own risk.
Pretty hard course, he assumes everyone knows how to derive formulas...but is approachable if neede. Language plays a factor in his medioker teaching skills. Exams are tough, if accounting is not your fortay. Not bad, but not great
His teaching and communication skill are really bad!!! He gets irritated by questions and emails from students. Not helpful at all. Hard grader. Avoid at all cost.
The most unhelphul teacher at Concordia. His exams are very weird. Positive points are that he goes over exercises every class and he gives pretty thourough notes that are already written for the students. I wouldn't take him though.
very good teacher, explain the material in a practical way. Afterall, I understand everything after attending his class.
He's okay but not always clear with his explanation. The book was useless because (contrary to what he said in the beginning) his entire exam was based on this notes (I wasted my money and time). Anyway he is really easy but rude(but nobody is perfect).
His explanation is very clear. Easy marker.
Get mad very easily. Think before you ask a question / make a comment. Also, dont try to challenge him. His retaliation is immediate.
AVOID!!! Worst prof in my 2years at concordia, book was useless, explainations aren't clear, can't teach. Won't allow you to fight for marks he deducted, will probably ask the class for a ride to and back from school !!
He explains well materials. Dont need to study all night. You only need to pay attention in class, then you will easy get an fairly good grade.
AVOID THIS TEACHER. Difficult midterm and test, explanations and notes are unclear. Not a very friendly guy either.
Doesn't prepare you for exams.. i suggest attending a crash course if u wanna get a half decent grade. Tests are challenging cuz he assumes his student KNOW EVERYTHING (things he never mentions in class)..AVOID
OMG! DO not take this guy, he doesn`t teach you 90% of whats on the final exam. Our class even asked him if what we read in the book was necessary for the exam and he answered ``thats not important``and guess what it was 20% of the final.Don`t take him, it`ll be ur worstnightmare. If your stuck with him, take a crash course, it`ll boost your mark.
know ur accounting!! Has his own notes, don't even bother with the book. If your skilled in finance good for you..otherwise good luck. Don't ask any questions unless you're his pet...Final point don't take him.
one word: HORRIBLE!!!
Where do I begin? Someone that's worsER than Steve Tamas? *drum roll* You've got Stephen Wong! Horribe is an understatement. He's disrespectful for his students, not friendly and cuts students off when they ask questions. *Props* to the french dude in our class who told him to "Shhh! Calm down!" Why is THIS teacher allowed to teach?!
Do not take this guy, he is going to make your life misrable no matter how much work you do, he lacks knowledge, communication skills, ... He graduated from physics for gods sakes , I do not know what he is doing in Business
Very easy class. But worst teacher ever. Don't even bother buying the book, read the notes, do the exercises and you will do good.
HORRIBLE! Responds to student requests with "I'm not going to waste my time with that" or "I've been doing this for 25 years. I think I know what I'm doing". No, Wong, you don't! Ended every class early (this was an evening course), saying "I'm tired" or "I've had enough", then had us come in on a Saturday to finish the material?!
He thinks very highly of himself and DOES NOT ANSWER QUESTIONS at ALL! Don't even bother, seriously. Ends classes early but doesn't cover anywhre near enough material to warrant that. Gives no numerical examples and then leaves you out to dry for the exams which are not tough but likely to be marked in a rediculous manner. I would avoid.
What can i say that hasnt already been said about him.....taking him is a big NO NO !!!!Will crash your GPA....Will trick you during exams....isnt fair when it comes to exams either....his notes are usefull if you can actually get to read what is written!!! Take him at your own risk....seriously !!!
He's a nice guy. I found the examples he used in class to relate to the material very helpful. I took him during the summer and the exams were written by him. I think that's why I did well. I barely studied for each exam and I did well. I would suggest to take him during the summer and to just read his notes.
He can not speak English at all. Exam is super long and time is so little. Never answer questions, and accept any conlficting ideas also negotiation. Not capable of explaining questions and would change the topic if he can;t haha. Never expain in exams and assignment but require a lot from students. VEry stuborn and incompetent
He is utterly useless. If you can memorize his notes and regurgitate them in an exam then you will do well. If you learn by doing rather than reading then it is hopeless. He provides absolutely no practice problems to study by...
Very rude to his students in class. Does not provide much support. Refuses to explain questions in his exams. Does not accept his errors, and is one sided only. Has lots of mistakes in his notes. His assumptions for his projects (470) are not realistic.

hard exams, he gives hard qustions on exams which never been taught and mentioed in class. He refuses student to ask questions, never reply email, almost no office hours.Plus he's a really bad grader. dont take his class, at all!
Listen,if you want to disappoint yourself, go ahead,God will not help you..
He teaches OK but you have to listen and take a lot of notes. He's a fair grader most of the time.
oh mu god,on the 11 pages there is 2 yellow face the rest is blue.I knew he was bad but i would have never imagined that he could be that bad.this is summer and there is 16 people who failed the course. He only uses his notes and doens t give any practice exercices, his exams are soo hard it is ridiculous
Mr. Wong is by far the worst teacher ever. He thinks he knows everything. Dont dare ask a stupid question, he will rip you apart. Material provided by him is really useful and the exams are all focused on that material. The level of difficulty is fairly reasonable. Dont bother buying a book for this course. Avoid if possible
Wong's all right in my book, just get to know a little bit before you judge him. Wong your all right.
His tests are not hard, but he's a hard grader, small calculation mistakes (correct formula/usage, but error in number crunching) or not writing down formula will lose big marks. For this class, he gave very few examples and no practice tests to study, try and find them elsewhere. What he did give, he went over extremely quickly <5 mins for all.
Very nice teather! His notes are very helpful. Although his test is a little bit hard, final is easy. If you have any questions, just go to the office hour, he ll be very nice to you. choose him.
He is not bad at all. He solves some questions from past exams in the class, and similar questions appear in his exams. His exams could be hard, but he is not a hard marker. If you study hard enough, you'll pass with good grades.(A to A-:8 students,B+ to B-:8 C to C-:12, D+ to F:15)
KEEP AWAY FROM THIS GUY ... unless if you want to fxxk up your GPA ... he is late , you cant ask any questions ... he speaks chinses in class to his chinese studends making joks in between them.. very helpfull with them not at all with the rest... dont bother going to his offeice hourse he is never there ...you wont even understan his accent.
This guy is simply the worst teacher. I am not saying this because i had a bad grade, my grade was good only because i got help by another professor. He is not clear, not approachable, not helpful during office hours. I don't judge a professor by my grade. I have thanked a teacher who gave me a C, but i will never thank wong for my B+. Just beware!
I'm convinced he's the devil. He gives you 1 example in class and completely twists the question on your exam. He's extremely stubborn and harsh on the grading. DOES NOT PREPARE YOU FOR YOUR MID-TERM OR FINAL. He gave me my worse grade in University. If you have to drop to become a part-time, do it and you'll be saving your GPA.
worst pro i have ever meet..drop his course
No Comments
His explanations is as reading from the note. Giving uncomplete Handouts without a solution. No preparation note before Mitderm or Final, It is a devil monster for my GPA in the university ever met. VERY VERY VERY BAD TEACHER.
This is a very bad teacher. Very poor preparation, old at unclear material, poor explanation, bad english speaking, hard to communicate, bossy and unpolite. Marking unfair. The worst teacher in COncordia university. Maybe Above B if he knew you well, otherwise Drop his course.
my worst teacher so far. class is a way for him to make some money on the side. has absolutely no interest in his students or their education. unapproachable. if you have him LEAVE NOW!!! if you cant then dont go to classes. his exams come straight from his notes. NO TEXTBOOK NEEDED!! last thing. he makes mistakes. always double check his answers.

He is the worst teacher i have ever encountered at concordia. My gpa which was without even a b- is now being kissed goodbye. The other sections exams are ten times easier. He tells you to shhhh if you try to ask questions. He is arrogant and disrespectful. Avoid this teacher at all costs. I didn`t believe the other comments posted here until now.
Do not take him. At first I thought he was okay because his class lectures are clear enough but he really screws you over on the exam. He provided no numerical explanations for problems. Out of three sections, the highest section was an average of 62% for his midterm.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. you may liek him and think his class is okk until the mid term, when he will make you write an exam that has nothign to do with the class material.... this teacher will do nothing but lower your GPA. just avoid him, take this class during another semester but dont take him.
His lectures are clear and easy to follow, but they DO NOT PREPARE YOU FOR THE FINAL. and the final is worth 50%. Before going into the final, i understood all of the material but when i saw it, i thought i was writing the wrong exam. Doesnt care to help students.
The positive side of this course with this teacher is that you don't need to buy the book; you will only need his lecture notes and handout problems that you'll need to print on firstclass. I recommend you to take other sections because he is NOT a good teacher(his way of teaching is very selfish);to him everything is "common sense"
Bad! Crazy amount of useless work. The mark doesn't represent your knowledge. Grading is done arbitrary. We went over the whole material in less than half of total class time. How do you expect to learn anything in such a rush.
He is a very good teacher.
Any smiles must be ratings done by himself. Didn't learn much.
I got stuck with this prof for a summer course, and there were no other choices. Avoid at all costs. His grading scheme is all over the place, and he is not helpful at all to students. The exams are not hard, it's just the way he marks (deducts 15 marks for forgetting a negative sign). Horrible!
He's alway in a rush. You can hardly learn anything from him. He is an extremely hard grader and he gives you marks randomly. Avoid him!!
Very hard class. No assignments or quizzes. 30% mid term, 20% test and 50% final. Wong was very tough on his garding and theres no way to argue with him. grading is inconsitent takes off amrks for no reaons. was funny in class btu i would avoid for fina 395.
WOW...this guy is crazy. At first he seems like an amazing teacher, but that's until the midterm. He'll kill you on that guaranteed. Get ready for a D grade. And I wont even talk about the final
follow his notes you will be ok for the midterm. The final has content more than what he covers in class, but if you did econ201/203 well, you can easily handle it. overall, explanation is clear.
Horrible. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! X_X I just barely passed with a D- and I went to all the classes =[ He gives his own notes - but then in class he just reads through them. Useless going to see him too, becuase you won't understand anyways.
omg..no.
The semester isn't even over yet, but I thought i'd give everyone a fair warning: don't go, RUN!! This guy shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a university!
I have no idea why people hate this guy. I have have taken a nap in every single one of his classes, and still have a B+ average. His notes explain everything you need, and his handout with problems are near copies of the questions on his tests. Honestly, if you fail this course, it's because of your own shortcomings.
It's a very difficult course, choose your prof carefully...and do not choose this one
I usually do not go out of my way to express my feelings about a prof, but in this case exceptions have been made. Probably the worst teacher I have had throughout my ENTIRE academic career. Handwritten notes!, difficult to understand & no external info brought into the class. Very dry.
Ok, people here who complain about Wong are the ones who received bad marks and wanted to bash someone else for their own shortcomings. His English is at times hard to follow, but his notes are helpful, and his exams resemble the practice questions he gives out. Do your work and you will actually learn something. Blame yourself no one else, losers!
this is one of the worse teachers i've ever had! Yes his exam problems are similar to his handouts but that doesnt matter. His notes are almost impossible to read and his knowledge of finance is very minimal. Class attendance is useless! he takes off 15% for stupid mistakes (ex. forgetting a minus). Avoid at all costs!!!not worth to risk it with hi
probably the last old school chinese teacher left in the world. He doesn't believe in formula sheets, either know it or derive it using logic, doesn' t believe in multiple choice because work and logic is valued, he doesn't believe in wasting time thats why there is no textbook, and thug his numerical examples have a financial msg. Superhard exams
I received the top mark in the class, and I will tell you this. He should not be teaching finance. It is true that he marks according to what he teaches, but what he teaches is simply wrong. All students would benefit from dropping his class, and petitioning his retirement.
You will have to teach youself. He gives handwritten notes, and expects you to just follow what he says in class (quite impossible). He gives sample questions and answers before the midterm; those are helpful, but they are helpful ONLY for the midterms, you will suffer in the final because you will not be prepared thanks to him.
I took him for both FINA 385 and 402. He's super easy. Does his own notes, own exams based on the examples in his notes. A mock final exam test that helps you a lot for the final. you won't learn much from his course but it's info rehashed/taught from other courses already so it's nothing new. Those who got bad marks are lazy.
Worst teacher ever
This teacher doesn't know what he is talking about. He thinks that we are supposed to know everything. The questions we ask seem always to be stupide according to him. His mid-term and test are pretty much the same as the previous ones. If you can find some, you are in business. The final though was hard and not the same. Be prepared...
If you're in Actu don't take him. You'll have to unlearn everything you study for FM and do it his way.
FINA 385- Easy marker. Easy material. No textbook. I studied the day of the exam and ended the class with an A-.. not that tough.. his handouts are KEY.
His lecture handouts are absolutely KEY to success in this class and they make the class easier if you have him as a professor. The first test was easy so he adjusted by making the second test harder. The second test is almost like the final but more demanding. Take him if you can!
Pros: midterm and final long questions are very similar to sample that he gives (really concentrate on those ones). Not a hard grader. Cons: when solving problems on the board he is hard to follow. Lectures are pretty boring. If you ok studying by yourself you'll be fine.
Horrible professor. Totally incoherent and incomprehensible when speaking. Constantly rewriting his notes on the board instead of explaining concepts. The format and content of the notes made me feel like I'm in the 90's and they're filled with errors. I was looking forward to m&a and really was disapointed about it because of the way he taught it.
I've heard that all of the COMM 220 teachers are bad but I can't imagine them being as bad as Wong. He gave us an extremely difficult midterm that had nothing to do with his classes. He's an awful teacher. His lecture notes are outdated and seem to be out of synch with the course and textbook. He'll only confuse you.
Horrible teacher! You are constantly correcting him on the board and sometimes he doesn't know what he's talking about! He gives extra problems with solutions and these solutions are not consistent with his notes. s!Avoid, avoid avoid
Avoid at all cost. If you have to take him just check the problems from the handout since are usually copied from books that you can find online.Of course the midterms and finals are taken from the same books.
A Very intelligent teacher but very difficult, I recommend you avoid if possible. May be a good choice for someone who knows the material before hand. 1/2 of the class dropped after 1st midterm. Out of those students who pushed through the most common final grade is D- and highest mark is A- (Also, ends class early & avoids breaks.)
If you attend his class and understand the concepts that he explains, then you can pass the course, but you have to study a bit more to get an A.
I can say with absolute certainty that Stephen Wong is the worst teacher I've ever had. Do not bother asking clarifications, he can't begin to comprehend where you're coming from with your questions, and answers accordingly. Every examination make you feel like you've been studying for the wrong class. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
First, he's not approchable at all(passed disrespectful). Two, material is 100% based on his version of the course. Three, His version is handwritten notes with mistakes. Fourth, his exams are tricked so that even with perfect preparation, you WILL lose out. Only strong point is his notes make you avoid reading the book at all!(which is amazing!).
this guy is without a doubt the worst teacher at concordia. you cannot ask him questions. he is disrespectful and i highly recommend you DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!! his exams seem super easy but he will fail you without pointing out what you get wrong. he is awful
He is, by far, the worst instructor I've ever had in my entire education experience. He gives 2 midterms, both based on his version of the course, which are handwritten notes that he spends the entire lecture rewriting on the board with choppy explanations. AVOID/DROP or you'll regret it. Common final based on the textbooks, obviously.
HORRIBLE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Take an extra semester if you have to, just do not put yourself through the hell of this "professor"
He is very boring and you do not understand anything. His formulas are outdated and you must do it the wrong way or...THE WONG WAY in order to achieve a magnificent grade of B- or less.
The worst professor I ever had. Unclear, disrespectful, and boring. He rewrites his notes on the board every single class without any further useful explanation. And worst of all he gives out grades randomly and never bother to point out were you made a mistake, and if you ask for clarification, he'll deduct extra points. AVOID AT ALL COST
He's actually a nice guy;however his lectures are terrible. Read his notes and do the assigned problems and you should be fine for the midterm and final.
Stephen Wong is a great, direct to the point professor. Of course his style will not be appreciated by all the frigid uneducated kids of JMSB, but if you give it a try, you ll actually learn more in his class than in any other class. After doing 395 with him, all my other finance class seems like a piece of cake.
The problem with this course is that the material is so limited. There is no textbook and very few practice questions. Wong as a teacher is okay at best. He frequently interrupts, cuts off, and speaks down to students who have questions. He does not respond to emails. Incorporates material not covered in class in the final. AVOID
Terrible! He is good at finance, but he runs through the material and deviates a lot from the required book. Handout problems are very different from the book. Very few examples in class, again not consistent with the book.
Not sure why there's so many negative comments, he's a very smart guy and may seem rude/abrupt but he explains the material clearly and as long as you do the practice problems you'll do well. No textbook needed
Wort prof I have ever had at JMSB. Lectures are unclear and the entire course was based off f his handwritten, barely legible notes that were full of mistakes. Grading is harsh, often talks down to students. AVOID at all costs!
If you want an easy course or learn best by regurgitation of end of chapter problems, do not courses with him. Very limited material.. no textbook, but his own typed lecture notes and problems.. However, he is a solid, straight to the point teacher and if you come to class and do the work you'll probably gain something from his classes.
WHERE TO START? First, don't expect to ask him questions because he's very rude, next his lectures have many mistakes, his handwriting is very hard to read, he sometimes doesn't know what he himself is doing or saying. His tests are hard!! IN SUMMARY: AVOID ! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
Worst teacher I ever had !! he is really rude ,does not respond to emails . can't say one good thing about this teacher
He is an amazing teacher... most people hate on him, but for me he was quite easy to follow. His notes do have a bunch of mistakes, but his midterms and finals are carbon copies of his class problems, although with a few curve balls thrown in there. At least I never had to show up to class and just had to work my way through his notes. Fits w/ work
Stephen actually is not a bad as you guys mentioned.... I am an exchange student. His lesson is quite clear and straight to the point. It is quite to understand the theory which I have learnt in Hong Kong. It's my favourite course in here!! Sometimes he might be rude, but just for the stupid questions only.
Funny teacher -exams are his notes but with tricks -nobody asks questions in class because he's mean -explanations are so bad, I'm sure even he wouldn't understand himself -M&A's are one of the coolest topics in finance and he manages to make it SOOO boring. -first test is the most fair, so get your marks early. Often ends class 30 min early
Absolutely horrible. You'll be spending more time trying to figure out what's wrong with the notes than actually learning something. Forget about asking questions as if it derails a bit from his notes, he won't be able to answer. After 35 years of teaching, you would think that he would have learned a better way of teaching.
Concordia should be embarrassed to still employ this individual. Complete disregard for students questions, regardless of how insightful. Will assign arbitrary grades with absolutely no criteria or commentary. Will not offer explanations, will not revise. Level of effort is not rewarded, cannot prepare for exams. Learning is basically discouraged.
It's a bad course made worse by an even worse teacher. Very rude to his students and gets completely flustered if a question isn't directly from his notes. Speaking of his notes, they are riddled with mistakes that he's too careless to fix. Knowledge and methods are outdated...
You'll leave his exams feeling like you've studied for the wrong test. Questions seem to be pulled out of nowhere. You could be able to do all of the course problems, textbook problems, and handout problems inside-out - you still wont do well. Doesn't matter if you study 2 hours or 200, you're walking out with whatever Wong decides.
Oh man this guy. Usually a teacher is either 1) very knowledgeable or 2) will at least be kind, approachable and try to help. This man is neither. Will answer student questions with statements like "you should know this by now" and fail to provide an actual response - because he doesn't know. You're wasting your time taking for this class.
Its a shame that teachers with Mr. Wong's reputation are not held accountable for their work. This man's problems/solutions/explanations are are full of mistakes and yet students are dismissed for pointing them out. Studying for his exams is like a guessing game, and you'll never guess right because material is not restricted to topics covered.
Brutal. Brutal brutal brutal. Professor Wong's class is like taking a step back in time. Discourages students from using the textbook (which has up to date and correct methods) and will bog you down with outdated and flawed finance. Mistakes in his notes are too many to count. How is this man even allowed to teach?
Stephen Wong was by far, the worst teacher I have had at JMSB. Rude, responded to questions by insulting students or telling them what they asked didnt matter. He also uses handwritten notes, scanned by somebody in the class uploaded as pictures, on the class forum. Nightmare of a course. Avoid Avoid Avoid Avoid
Took for 395 in the summer. Was good because he dropped the last chapter, but still tough grader. Notes are riddled with mistakes and he is hard to reach outside of class. Would not have passed if it weren't for itech. Avoid Wong.
Wonderful professor and a fantastic personality. Would definitely take him again!
Avoid at all costs for all the reasons mentioned below. I would never take this prof again in the future.
Avoid this teacher at ALL COSTS (even if this is your only class left to graduate). Reading his notes and handout problems will have you think that you are fully prepared for his exams but they are simply not sufficient. His exams are in a way that only straight A students and those with a lot of outside class knowledge will somehow manage to pass.
He is extremely rude, arrogant and condescending. Do not bother going to see him at his office hours because not only will he not give you tips on how to study properly for his exams but he will try to convince you to drop his course and make sarcastic remarks to bring your confidence down. He enjoys making students' lives miserable like his!!!!!!
Really tough grader, exams are harder than what he taught us.
I have seen the reviews before taking a class with Mr. Wong, and I still decided to take his class (since I have had "bad" teachers in the past and pass the class easily). However, I would HIGHLY advise you to take another teacher. DON'T TAKE HIM. His notes are full of mistakes, and he doesn't even know how to mark properly. Avoid at all cost
Worst professor I've had so far, he use his notes and they are full of mistakes; grammar and calculations. It's extremely confusing because you can't refer to the textbook and you can't trust whether it's correct or not. He never completes his sentences, especially for definitions. Very frustrating having him as a professor.
Notes and handouts are good, exams are tricky, don't ask him questions you will accomplish nothing.
Focus your studies on his Lecture notes. They are clear and the examples are quite helpful. His lectures are not needed as he simply goes through his lecture notes in a slightly less clear manner. The textbook is unnecessary as he grades you on the material in his notes. Also he is very rude and insulting if you ask him any question.
I dont really know why there are bad reviews of Stephen Wong. He is a very smart, Simple professor. He teaches the big picture of everything you have learnt in the past in a very straight forward way which I much rather than be doing unrealistic scenario question which is not even testing your knowledge at that point Take him, read his notes
Even if this is the last class before you graduate WAIT ANOTHER SEMESTER. does not provide feedback on exams, does not reply to emails, horrible explanations, horrible camera quality.. horrible experience overall....
His lectures are clear. His notes have mistakes, but he always corrects them in class. If you attend his lectures, listen, do all the handout and the lecture problems, you'll do well. 415 is a heavy class that needs effort. No need to copy after him cuz everything's in the notes, so it doesn't matter if u can't see the board, just listen closely.
Worst teacher ever. Makes you memorize a thousand formulas for nothing. His exams are straight up unfair. Avoid
Full of himself. Unclear. Has no qualities you would look for in a teacher. Try to ask questions, he'll bring you down for not understanding. Try your best at finding another teacher, you will make yourself a great favor. AVOID.
Only take this professor if you hate yourself.
This is by far the worst professor I've had at JMSB, His notes, practice problems & tests are all riddled with mistakes and doesn't make sense. Beware of his tests the answers are wrong even if you did the math right. Impossible to work backwards too. Sometimes in his solutions for the tests he uses the wrong numbers so he'll mark it as wrong.
His way of teaching is not good and he leaves out important parts. He also sucks at answering questions. In his exams, he puts subjects that we have not learned in class and he expects us to answer them properly. To add, his exams are multiple choice. If you get a wrong answer, you risk messing up 3 more since they are usually related. RUN AWAY
I am strongly advising against taking this Professor. His exams are based on questions he has never given in his lecture notes or practice problems. Each of his exams is different from the previous one, so you cannot use your experience from his midterm to prepare for the final because it will be an entirely different structure and question set.
Avoid this teacher at all costs. Don't be stubborn and think you're gonna be the exception in his class, because you'll end up failing or with the worst grade you've ever gotten. He makes so many mistakes & does not correct himself. You basically have to learn how he makes his mistakes if you want any chance of passing the course. still smh ...
The class was challenging, but Unstuck ai proved to be a helpful study tool alongside the textbook. Attend lectures and be prepared for exams that test material beyond the notes.
Do not take his class, his notes/lectures/exams are contradictory, inconsistant, and full of errors. If you try to correct him or simply show him the inconsistancy he displayed in any lecture or any note in the same page, he will get mad and raise his voice to you.
Very inconsistent problem solving steps. Unclear and notes have multiple mistakes.
Not recommended at all. Notes are unclear and explanations are not great. Good luck understanding his notes. Barely any practice questions
Worst teacher at Concordia, protected by tenure. Lectures are impossible to follow and homework questions and solutions are full of mistakes and inconsistencies. Final was completely different from anything seen in class or in notes. Avoid at all costs to protect GPA.
I took this teacher for a second time thinking I was the problem the first time. I was wrong, he is in fact the problem. His exams are terrible, his notes are riddled with mistakes, and when you try to correct him he makes you know that you're a mistake. Do not take him.
Worst teacher at JMSB, even worse than Dr Aly. His exams are nothing like his practice problems. This prof will curve you down and make your life a living hell. Almost impossible to get As with him.
This "professor" is definitely the worst experience I've ever had. He makes mistakes all the time in his class, in his notes he gives us, in his exercise sheets and solutions. I even tried to tell him that there were some obvious mistakes and he responded by saying I quote "do not write to me anymore". If you want to suffer take this professor.
His notes don't make sense - blurred calculations, and not representative of exam questions. He rounds his numbers so final answers are mostly off. His class is disorganized. When you ask a question to clarify instructions, he would say that instructions are "clear" despite several groups/people asking him the same question. AVOID AVOID AVOID
