He did a good job -- was very clear in everything he taught. Just have to study for tests, like in all math classes. He is extremely helpful!

Very good teacher. Explained the formulas very well. I liked his lectures, and didn't make Math boring at all. Actually made it interesting. I would recommend him.
He does not give any structured review for his tests because he makes them up the night before. He is not clear in his wording of problems on the test. Each problem is worht 10 points on tests. Not a class I would recommend to anyone. But he is a nice guy
He's okay, but I didn't learn ANYTHING about "Math for Elementary Teaching". He gives oor examples and vague explations of problems.
This class is very easy. There are no projects in this class. It is an easy A.
Very cool and interesting teacher. He kept our attention in class by telling lots of jokes that had to do with what we were learning. Tests are kind of hard because each question is worth so much. You have to study to pass the tests. I recommend him.
He is an awsome teacher! I hate math and he actually made me interested. Kept our class up with his jokes although it was an early class. You do however have to study for the test. Dont be afraid to ask for help, he is very willing to help.
I had a situation come up in which I was going to have to miss a lot of class. He worked with me and was extremely fair. He is also a very good math teacher. He keeps your interest (which is hard to do in math).
Excellent professor.
He was NOT helpful at all and was rarely clear on his directions
He's a GREAT teacher, but it's not an easy class. He applies math concepts to real world situations
He's a nice guy, kind of weird. I've got nothing good to say about math, but generally it's an okay class.
He was the best math teacher I've had in years. If you attend all the classes, you'll be able to follow the information, and do well on the tests. He was very helpful with answering questions and being clear in his lectures. He wasn't extremely friendly or
maybe it was just a bad experiance for me. but i did not understand anything he explained. his examples and lectures on how to do the math were unclear and very unhelpful. i recieved a very low grade in his class as a result of this. more than half the cla
Excellent and explaining and making sure every single student understands and is not afraid to ask questions.
he was a great teacher, ive nevr enjoyed math but he was very helpful not boring explains work very well. exams are not difficult, before the day of the test he puts problems on the bored and reviews. homeworks are all collected the day of the test.i really liked him
I hate math and I suck at it. He's a great teacher and I was able to get a B with him!
Extremely easy class. I never did homework until the night before the tests, because he didn't collect it until exam day, but doing so was the perfect way to study. He makes all his information really clear and he knows his stuff. A little hard to understand his accent, but you get used to it.
easy teacher. is open to all questions and will give good explainations. awesome grading system. do ALL your homework!! he only collects certain assignments so you need to make sure you do them all to get total points. find out his pattern of what days he takes roll because thats where the participation points come from. overall awesome professor.
Took him at SAC. This is one of THE best teachers you'll ever find. Amazing how it just clicks when he explains things. He is a master at making you understand. CSF is lucky to have a quality teacher like this.
Great guy, patient, and gives many chances to ask a question if you're confused.
i didnt understand his teaching style. He rushes through the all the chapters leaving you frustrated and confused. i dont recommend him not very helpful
Not clear and goes too fast. He gives no study guide or any quizzes. Your whole grade are based purely on the exams. Nice guy but not very helpful. Half my class failed including ME!!!
Understandable
He's a good teacher, very clear and he knows his stuff. He does take attendance, though.
Go to class and the notes will explain everything.Tests are hard but similiar to homework questions. If you do the homework the tests are do-able. Takes off your grade for attendence, ask dumb questions attendence is just whether or not you talk
He is a great teacher... made things easy for us to understand and didn't make us look stupid when we didn't. Has a funny personality... great teacher!
I failed nasty, but it was my own lack of understanding of the material. Not his fault. Ask questions, do the homework, be on time!, see him during his office hours, and you should be fine. The subject his hard, not him. I would take hime again.
He is pretty hard. He doesn't care if the students don't understand the material- he will keep moving on. You must study the material!! Participate in class because he gives points that will really help your grade in the end. I wouldn't recommend him.
he makes it clear what he wants and then expects you to deliver. Lots and lots of real life examples. I got a lot out of this class.
Good teacher. Math 135 is a difficult subject, but he does a good job. I struggle with math classes and I passed this course with a "C."
I really like math, did really well in high school all the way to calc. I decided to take the easier route since I only needed one math class for my major. He doesn't stop and ask if you have questions, he doesn't take time to really explain the equations. His examples aren't thorough enough. I would never recommend him to anyone.
One of the best math classes I ever took. Tough professor but very helpful and hardworking. My own fault for not having the proper background. Be sure you have met the prereq. for the class and DO THE HW. He is very tidy and organized and not bad to look at either ;-)
Great Teacher,he is always open for help, raise your hand a lot in class for participation credits and do the homework. Tests aren't bad, if a lot of people failed he will give you extra credit.
He was hands down the worst professor I have ever had. He was extremely unclear with the material, his exams had nothing to do with his lectures, the homework, or the textbook. One two of the exams he had 18+ points worth of problems we had never seen before. I would never recommend him to anyone. Please do not take him. he is very rude.
I never had a single decent math teacher until I took this class. He is tough but fair. I learned a lot. I am not a math major but he still made the class interesting.
Alemansour is the best! He is clear in his delivery, and shows all steps simply (vs. busy powerpoint slides). He is fair and respectful to all students both in class and in office hours. Took this class last semester with Lee and didn't pass, this semester I have a B+. I would recommend Alemansour to everyone, you will actually learn the material
The lessons aren't very difficult, but you have to come to class. Make sure to take good notes because he will throw in some random questions from the early part of that section. Also his emails always end with "live long and prosper" which I think is funny.
One of the best math teachers I've had. You will pass if you pay attention, study, and do the hmwk. Of course, as with any math class, your grade is a reflection of your effort. Is very helpful if you have questions. Teaching style is great. Goes over chapters in class and gives many examples. Highly recommend him!
great professor lowest test score is replaced by an optional project!
Very easy going and helpful. He likes in-class discussions so to get participation points do work on the board when he asks for volunteers. Rare use of the book, everything is usually done on webassign. Great teacher, cool cuban accent. Just be sure to ask questions when you are confused or else you're lost forever.
This professor is horrible. He goes way to fast refuses to answer questions and his tests cover material he never covered in class. over half my class failed just because he doesnt teach well. He is the worst math profesor at Fullerton
He teaches in a very straightforward manner which causes confusion because if you fall behind in something, it'll cost you. He offers some help like study guide, but you're on your own.
Worst math class I've ever taken!
I truly liked Math before but Calculus is very difficult. He is very helpful but the subject is just hard. This semester we had 4 exams, one final, hws due every two weeks or so. And he gives you a chance to do a written project and whatever grade you get in the class, will replace your lowest test score.
I had taken this class before an d I thought that this professor was way better. He is very organized and teaches you what is on the syllabus. He doesn't go tangent and his tests are close to his lectures. Some students struggled in the class but you could tell that they didn't have the right background. Overall, I learned a lot from his class.
If you want to ace this class follow these simple steps. 1.)Show up to class. 2.)Take good notes. 3.)Do the review questions at the end of each section of the textbook. 4.)Make sure to do all the homework. I never knew a thing about calculus before the class, but I followed those steps and aced it. He's a mediocre teacher, but it's not a hard class
This class was a bit difficult for me as math has always been. Professor Alemansour was nothing but helpful. Explained all the material and even helped out on his office hours. Show up to class and do the work and practice the problems given in class. They are going to be similar as the test questions. Highly Recommend
The professor presents the material in a straightforward manner and is always willing to help. Attendance really is crucial because alot is covered each class. Physical extbook really isn't needed because there is an online version with the homework. He replaces your lowest test grade with your written assignment, which gives you a little cushion.
All we did in class was a billion examples. He put problems on the test that we never talked about in class. He didn't answer his emails quickly. Very frustrating. We had to buy a $115 book only for the code. He tries to be funny. Not a horrible teacher, but definitely would NOT recommend him.
Not too hard of a class. But professor was always late because it was a 7 am class. However he is willing to work with you if you do all the hw and come to class. Do the online hw and pay attention in lecture. Things on test are in lectures and hw little from just the book.
One of the best math teachers I ever had. I had a hard time at the beginning because I forgot much of my algebra. He is tough and demanding but you really learn in his class. You have to do the hw and come to class. Pay attention to his lectures because they do show up on the tests. Overall, I recommend him but be prepared to work hard.
Prof is clear, patient, fair, but this is hard class if you r rusty in math. Advice from one who failed: go to every class;pre-read ch's; do ALL homework;ASK ?s;get study group;get tutor.I have to re-take it,& w/be following above.Prof w/help if ask-I was too embarrassed-don't make my mistakes! Thx out to guy in class who did ask ?s-hope u passed!
He is a great professor, if you pay attention and do your hw you can pass! The hardest part is the algebra that always messed me up but other than that he makes that concept prety straight forward and doesnt try to trick you like othere teachers do. His test are similar to what we go over in class! I would recommend him!
I think Alemansour is by far one of the best math professors' on campus! Instead of going over formulas and how to do the math, he specifically shows you how to solve the problems. Everything that he goes over is on the exam. HW is weekly on MyMathLab. I would say attendance is important even though he sometimes doesn't take role. I RECOMMEND.
He's a very good professor. He teaches the material clearly. A lot of homework, but they're helpful. Easy chapter tests.
Professor Alemansour is amazing! Always willing to help, and everything on the test is what you've seen before. Ask loads of questions and you'll get an A.
Professor Alemansour is amazing! He is very clear and everything on the exam has been gone over in class at least once. He is a great teacher and will not give up on a question that he is struggling with. Ask him loads of questions, otherwise he will assume that there are no issues with a section. Don't be afraid to approach him!
Steve Alemansour is an excellent math professor, but be prepared to work in his class. Do NOT skip class! It will take you quite a while to get back on track. He does a very good job of explaining the material and his examples are extremely helpful. Also make sure you're occasionally asking/answering questions, as participation does matter!
Steve is hands down the best math teacher I've ever had. He was very helpful with everything I asked him. The first test I got a 67%, then got an 88% then a 98% and I got a 94% on the final so talk about progress baby! There were three tests and a final, all tough. You use my MathLab for all the homework, don't get the book. Come to class prepared
The best math teacher I've ever had! He cares and it shows. He gives very thorough lectures and makes sure everyone understands. It's a tough class but if you work hard and attend class you should be able to pass the class. Easily one of the best teachers available for math classes. 10 out of 10 would take again.
He is really a good professor. He clearly states what he expected from students. Funny. He is also good at explaining and tries to make them easier. He also gives reviews before every exam. Although it may be hard, but if you study hard, you will get through it. I will take him again if I get the chance.
Terrible at math so I busted my hump. 3 exams, one paper which was fairly easy. He gives good lectures and makes the lessons very clear, so its up to you to take careful notes. HW on MyMathLab every week. Material on exams are familiar if you studied carefully enough - no tricks. Great professor, would take again
Easiest class I have taken in college. If you like math you'lldo great. I would have gotten an A if I would have tried harder. Simple syllabus, you just do the online homework, a couple quizzez, and one easy project. Class is boring but doable.
Alemansour was one of my favorite professors. He cares about the students understanding the material. Homework gives you a lot of practice for the tests. Project at the end gives you cushion points. I thought it was a fun class. Makes cheesy but fantastic jokes. Take him!
Professor Alemansour is one of my favorite professors. He explains math very clear. I am average for math, but his class makes math that much easier to understand. I took him for summer, so hw was expected to be due every two days. Do your hw if you want to do well on the test. Also, don't skip lecture. His lectures are pretty enjoyable anyways.
I adore him.
Professor Alemansour teaches the class out of the textbook, so expect to do practice problems the whole time. Homework is done through WebAssign. There are 4 exams total, with the final being accumulative. He assigns a written project towards the end of the course and it is worth as much as the final. Overall, he's an okay professor.
Best Calculus teacher I ever had. He is actually answers your questions instead of making you look stupid for not knowing. You have to work hard thought cause this is not an easy class.
One word to describe him: Amazing! He is the best Professor in Cal State Fullerton. He is very helpful and kind. The quizzes and homework are easy. Also it maybe in the Irvine Campus, it so worth drive. The exams are very easy. Myself not being good at Math I was still able to pass this class with an high grade. Take him you can you wont regret :)
He makes a lot of mistakes and will grade you low for participation and will not explain his reasoning. Makes it very difficult to receive a high grade.
So i had to work my asymptote to pass this calculus course. I didnt take calculus in highschool so i pretty much had to learn on my own since no study guides are given. Beware of popquizzes, lectures are fastpaced but his tests are not hard. Make sure you watch youtube videos (organic chemistry) and youll pass. Participate as much as you can.
I had the luxury of having Professor Alemansour for both 150B and 250A (Calculus II & III). Two years later and I still appreciate his teaching methods. His lectures are clear, his tests are fair, and most importantly he helps you learn the material. A dedicated and motivational instructor, I recommend taking his course if you can.
I took my pre calculus long time ago so I was very afraid of taking this class. Prof A was a life saver. Honestly, I don't think I could have done it without him. His lectures were helpful and he answered all the questions that students had. He knows the material and gives a lot of examples. His tests were hard but fair. Be sure to participate.
I had him for 150A and 150B. Best math teacher I ever had. He knows his stuff and explains it in simple to understand ways. He is demanding and calls on you in person so be prepared. I highly recommend.
his teaching is not perfect but it's good, he likes to help his student, but sometimes he got lost when he starts the lecture and this thing is annoying. he does give extra credit. his grading is great and his exams are simple but he always put that question which most of the students couldn't solve it but after that he usually give us extra point
Professor Alemansour cares about his students and wants to see them succeed. He'll know your name/who you are by the second class. Business calculus (calc. in general) is a tough course. Show up to EVERY class, take notes, and do all the homework. Show him that you're trying and you'll pass with a B. Funny guy. *Must have the textbook*
Good man, cares about his students but is often unprepared. I took MATH 150A and he pushed a test back 2 weeks due to this reason. Had me behind all my classmates in my SI class. Gives you a grade but does not explain why and will give you a low participation grade. Would not recommend taking this professor.
Professor Steve was an awesome instructor. Calculus 3 can be a tough class to understand but with him it felt easier. He was a very kind and caring instructor towards his students. Lectures can be long and boring at times. Homework is from the textbook, and quizzes are based on those homework problems. Overall I would recommend taking his class.
I can see he tries to make the class interesting, which is okay. However, he tends to come to class unprepared with the material, therefore rushing us at the worst times. We spent most of our time doing homework problems, which is nice but left the lecture material to be pushed later. Nice guy, not so good as a professor.
I wish I took him the first time I took calc 2. I found the lectures from this professor miles better than my previous professor. I liked his thorough explanations. The tests weren't there to trick you. The written project is an easy grade booster. Be aware the professor is terrible when it comes to responding to emails though.
