Gives a good overview of the subject. But definitely favours the more vocal students who answer a lot of questions in his classes. Tests were based on questions prepared in advance and handed out, basically testing only memory power.

Studying the book and class attendance are pretty essential to a good grade, but his study guides tell you exactly what to study. Topics and discussions were very interesting. I definitely thought it was a good class and useful for life goals.

Maybe the best class I've had. He was always prompt, focused,very relevant, and fun. Study the way he recommends and you will do great. (I would have done a little better if I would have listened to this earlier). You should love this class and get alot from it.

He's a really great professor! The class is very interesting and you can apply the things you learn to your everyday life. He fascilitates interesting discussions. I highly recommend this class!

Book and lecture material was totally coordinated and test was based on both. All esxpectations were clear and fair. Bonus - class was much fun and useful both at work and home. Take this class.

This professor was awesome. He was very helpful with any problems you had with class and even helped you with problems outside of class. He was also very clear on what he wanted from you in the beginning of class.

This was a great class and I looked forward to going every week. I learned alot and it was also fun. My only disappointment is that Dr. Breuning doesn't teach any other classes.

I really enjoyed this class. It could be demanding at times but all expectations were clear, concise, and fair. Eveyweek was alot of fun, lectures were very good, and class participation was very active. Overall, as good as any class I've ever had.

he's an amazing teacher! If you ask for help he'll give it. I wish I was taking more classes at OCC, because if I was I would definitely take him again. Make sure you can read/organize your notes well because if not you'll be in trouble for the quizzes

This was a very good class. It very clearly presents all the information in both an academic and practical/application format. It is clear, consistent, and enjoyable. I am working on my Masters in Business at Western Michigan University and had to be home this semester. My adviser suggested I take this class from Dr. Breuning. Boy was that great advise. One of the best classes I have had. Loved every week.

Breuning was one of my worst teachers ever. He was rude and sarcastic to the students who asked questions, and he liked to put people on the spot. His assignments and tests were not particularly difficult, and you will get a good grade as long as you know the material. He always looked very depressed and unenthusiastic.

Wow. I was getting to write my review when I read the last one. I guess there is one in every class. This class was always fun, upbeat, and Dr. Breuning does not have a rude or sarcastic bone in his body. Read all the reviews, he is fun, helpful, and caring. Will not embarrass anyone. Breuning is the man. It's very evident that he knows a lot about what he's teaching and the way he teaches is just so easy to understand, he has a way with delivering things in a manner that everyone can follow. Although the professor was nice, he is quite boring and monotone. I didn't learn anything from the lectures. He talks a lot about his opinions and something he has with Oprah and Target. Nice teacher though, just wish I would've dropped in the beginning of semester. At this point, I have no clue of where I stand in this class.

Go to class and you will have an easy A! His lectures are really interesting, but he does have a monotone voice so you will need to pay attention. Quizzes are word for word from the study guide, but they are fill in the blank. Def learned a lot in his class and wish he taught other classes because I would take him again.

If you are in college to text on your phone and be a loser in life, then this professor is not for you. He was challenging, but in a good way because he makes you think! There are a mix of group projects, a group presentation, and individual work to do. Definitely left with a better psychological understanding of myself and others, highly valuable!

Prof Breuning is one of the best professors I have ever had. He cares about the students, gives great feedback and also great discussions. I would love to take more classes with him. This was a great class taught by who should be Professor of the Year. Class was interesting, fun, and relevant. Dr. Breuning really cared about all of us doing well, not just a select few. Overall a really good class. Would have been great if last third of class was not cut short by COVID-19. When it went online it was good but nothing compared to how interesting and fun the in-class part was. If you can take the class from Dr. Breuning you will love it.
