okay, so it was my 2nd time taking this course.. and he's so much better than my previous prof. Although it's a hard course, he'll help you out if you just ask. Do well on quizzes because the final is known to be hard! Good prof overall!

I wonder why people fail STAT 230 and use that as an execuse to blame Drekic. The final was not as hard as I thought, everything he taught was coverd; beside, he is an excellent teacher.

Stat 230 isn't hard and Drekic is a decent prof, so my question is: how in any possible way do those people fail it?

His final is nothing close to impossible. Some students just can't deal with real world statistic problems while the formula application is basically unchanged.

I had him for stat230,330 and Actsci431.Nice guy. His lecture is very helpful and easy to understand. Midterm is alright(is in similar style as last term's) but final was hard. Assignments are long, take a long time to finish, but they're pretty useful.

He is good prof. The first 4 quizes are extremely easy, youca get 90-100 if you get last term quizes from your friend. But 5th quiz and final exam are extremely hard. He said in his opinion, the class average should be around 60.

Prof was actually ok, he was very clear in his explanations though sometimes you wonder how he just talks without looking at his notes or anything. Lectures were found online so the classes got emptier and emptier each time. Final was brutal.

Final=Brutal. I got an 88, don't know if it had been curved up or not tho. Prof was VERY nice and helpful. Only thing I didn't like was, he talks sorta slow, takes his time, and make everyone falls asleep. Great Prof though (y)

Organized, nice, and patience. His Halloween special lecture is wicked. He focuses much on the algebraic aspect in class. Good and bad, pending on your liking.

This is a hard course, but Steve's a super nice guy. If you go to his office hours, he's extremely helpful. The course was very organized and lectures were clear.

A pretty good course, but almost identical to STAT 230. Gave a horrendous final, then refused to scale the marks. Class average went from an 84 to a 72 after the final...

It is a hard course but at the same time, the most interesting course ever. Steve is really nice and very helpful. If you are ready to learn, then this is the course you should take. ( don't expect to get high marks without studying... its impossible)

People crying walking out of the exam hall. Hardest final ever taken in Waterloo. Otherwise, the course is very professional and informative.

Very nice prof. Understands the material extremely well and can explain/communicate ideas simply. However, as others have stated, STAT333 is the hardest final I've ever taken at Waterloo. I can't describe the look on people's faces when the exam ended, and it was EVERYONE who thought it was hard.

It is not an easy course but he makes you enjoy it. He is a great teacher.

The prof himself is very good. clear notes with good examples, organized lectures, very nice boardwriting, very helpful and patient in his office hour. Good professor but just the exam especially the final is way too hard omg, gee, final exam questions are just incredibly hard which drop ur grades very low.

Steve is a very nice prof who is willing to take time to answer your questions, no matter how dumb they seem to you. His office hours are usually packed, so you'll want to get there early.

I took his STAT 333 this term. I would say he is definitely a good prof. Clear notes, nice and helpful. And you can learn things from his class. However, the test are not easy. In particular, the final is really hard(fortunately,he curved our final). There are 5 quizzes with average around 62 for this term, the final is way more tough than quizzes.

Took Stat 333 in Winter 2016. He has clear notes and is very helpful out of class. His quizzes get progressively more difficult as you go on. The Final really puts you to the test. It is arguably the hardest Final for Stats 300 courses. Studying hard throughout the semester helps ease the final pains. Instead of cramming in the days before.

He is one of the best STAT profs I have ever had in Waterloo! He cares a lot about his students and he does an excellent job in explaining materials and tries every way to make sure that we understand. He structured the course so that student will pass as long as they work hard. My 'goto' prof for STATS courses!

Love his so much!!!! Clear explanation. Good course notes. Very specific exam coverage and information. He even wrote something for the end of the course. He is my most favorite prof till now.

Professor Steve is one of the best professor I have ever had! He provides extremely clear lectures, organized lecture notes, and he is also available to help outside the class. His exams are challenging compared with all other instructors, but can be thought as a better preparation for more advanced courses. Love his lectures sooooooo much!

Prof. Drekic's lectures are well-prepared and his notes are well-organized. He is caring and helpful during office hours, and he never makes you learn with fear. The course material is like second nature to him. If I want to be good at anything, I want to be good at it just like Prof. Drekic being good at probability theory.

Steve is a really nice professor to help. You should get good results if you work hard for it. Nice handwriting and lectures are well organized!

Had him for STAT333, which is notoriously difficult but he made it very manageable with the assignments. Very good lectures with lots of clear and useful examples. Hope I have him again.

Extremely difficult assignment during the final exam period. However, the assignments during the term were also difficult, and time consuming. I would still rate him a 5/5 since his lectures helped a lot with the material on the assignments. Lastly, his class was enjoyable, and his lectures were very organized.
