I also took him for REED 102 and he was so helpful and nice that I took him this semester for ENGL 102. Nicest guy ever and always having a good story to tell in class. So far, just one big research paper and a couple little 1-2 page papers...easy to pass and you won't want to miss the class because hes such a nice guy

I switched out of another ENGL 102 because my teacher was horrible into Heaney's Class and I could not be happier. Heaney is a real guy who knows what he is doing and he makes class interesting and fun to go to even at 9am MWF.

I took him for Engl 102..had hime for minimester..great teacher. Very laid back and chill. Class is not hard..if you get the chance to take him you are lucky.

Easiest class at an undergraduate level..Blindly take his class..If you dont get an A with heaney then school is not the place for you.Had to do 1 letter,ad,report and update our resumes..there r no exams..just show up and you will get an A..this class should be taken in summer with another course cuz its simply tooo easy plus we never had a book..

Heaney's class was easy. He was a funny professor and told a lot of stories. He got to know his students on a personal level and knew everyone's name. I had some issues with classes and credit and was worried about failing out and Heaney allowed me into class and helped me catch up quickly! He is really helpful, a supportive teacher and relaxed. He's great for anyone who is worried about their workload or just needs that little bit extra help.

As an English Major, I've been conditioned to write a certain way. Heaney throws that out the window. He told us first thing that the one thing he truly cares about is improving our writing--and he hates having to give us grades for it along the way. He's very chill, understanding, and one of the best professors I've ever had.

Class is fairly straight-forward. Quizzes are easy. Final Exam uses questions from the quizzes. You write a few papers, and listen to him tell hilarious stories. Easy A.

Professor Heaney cares about his students. He was very casual with us and treated us respectfully. Definitely one of my favorite professors. He often shared personal antidotes with us. He was in his 40's when he got his degree which was relatable to me as I am in the same boat. He is very inspiring.

He is so great! I was scared I was going to fail his class because the whole first half of the semester I was sick but he let me make up my assignments and I ended up with an A. Attendance is somewhat mandatory atleast go once a week. Or get someone to give the details of the work. The class was easy!

He offers students a great amount of time to get the papers done and really wants his student to think outside the box. The only downfall is that lectures are extremely boring because he tells unnecessary stories.

Easy, goes-with-the-flow prof, tells a lot of interesting stories during lec and you write what you want for 1 paper. No specific way to write essays for his class and if you want to critically learn I don't recommend.

The most relaxed professor. He wants you to do well. Every class is just random conversations once the content is out of the way (which usually takes 5 mins to explain assignments). This professor understands how hard it is to be a student and doesn't want to be the one to give you busy work.

One of my favorite professors at Towson. He is very understanding of the fact that we are students and have several other things going on. There are a few essays in the class but he is very lenient on due dates as long as you get it done.

This class you literally do nothing. You come to class and talk about your lives, at the end of the year you turn in a paper on literally any topic you want, 3 pages. Thats the only assignment. Hes so chill, loves to talk, so this class sometimes seems like a waste of time especially if its early in the morning, but its an easy A.

2 papers, each due around midterms and finals. At least one writing prompt a week; they're super easy to write. The class is easy and allows your creativity to flow. Just don't let your assignments pile up until the end of the semester. You won't know your grade until the end of the semester but Prof. Heaney is the best.

Super easy for this credit. Barely even have to go to class. Only a couple reports and powerpoint were assigned. Final was super easy- exactly like the quizzes. Really nice and understanding old man. He cancels classes on fridays. Doesnt respond to emails though

Professor Heaney is a very chill professor. He understands late work and he understands if you can not make it to class for some reason. Just communicate with his through email or in class. He's an easy grader and assignments are pretty much whatever you want with a few guidelines.

Prof. Heaney is a chill, easy-going instructor. The workload is light - just 2 papers, no strict deadlines. Attendance is mandatory, but classes are often dismissed early. I found Unstuck ai super helpful for essay prep alongside the flexible writing prompts.

if you need an easy A for core 9 take him, maybe not the best option for an english major lmao we didn't learn a thing. Im certain he came to every class with no idea what to talk about but hes nice. we had like 4 DBs and 2 papers (any topic of your choice and no set deadline). He doesnt take attendance although he says he will at the beginning

Attendance isn't taken but not everything is posted online, so you should go. Plus, there is never a dull moment in Heaney's class. Most Fridays we just have an online discussion but that's subject to change. Heaney is a great professor and overall very caring.
