Mr. Langjahr Is one of the most helpful professors I have had. He gives you all the materials and help you need to get an "A" in his class. He even has his lectures on tape and cd. I received a "B" in the class only because I didn't study enough for the final test. I highly recommend this professor.

Difficult class and lab.Must set aside time daily to study in order to do well.Advise one to take a light load w/ Anatomy.Offers a lot of helps (recorded lectures,CD's,etc).Take advantage of them.He knows his stuff.Perhaps comes across as growing weary of teaching.Or maybe it's just how he is.

This is probably the hardest teacher i have ever had in my life. Although he is very difficult, he is very helpful with taped lectures, and extra study material. He is very helpful, but his tests are impossibly hard.

Even after transferring to a university-completing my BS in health sciences-this physiology course is the most difficult class I have ever taken. I managed to eek out an "A" thanks to Langjahr's incredibly dedicated teaching approach. He teaches to all learning styles in a clear, thorough manner.

I took his class 16 years ago, and it's absolutely to his credit that I still remember detailed material. He's an amazingly knowledgeable and thorough professor, but be prepared to work.

this was a very very hard class but he helps and is very dedicated to his students. he will keep explainging something in order for you to learn them. i took it with microbiology and got an a in both, so trust me it is possible, you just have to STUDY AND STUDY HARD!!

his lectures are pretty well-presented, partly because of the lecture packet that you can buy :) anyway, yes, his tests are insanely tough at times so good study habits are essential. he also offers a lot of study aides if enough isn't enough.

Professer Lanagjahr, is a very knowledgable teacher. If you want to learn about anotomy take this class, but there will be no time for falling asleep in this class. Always keep up with lectures and lab, and you will Surprise yourself in just how well you can do. Spring 2005

Very good teacher. I learned alot. his tests are freakin' hard and long, but it's good because it forces you to learn. not an easy teacher, but a good one.

this teacher is the best. although he was tough it was all worth it because hes trying his best to prepare you in what's going to come. take this teacher if you want to be sucessful in the future, especially if you are going into the nursing program. hate him when your taking the course, love him when you made it to nursing.

Great teacher. Can't imagine taking the subject with any other teacher. I've had a great time learning from Mr. Langjahr and hope there are many other teachers like him down the road: making the class learned, fun, funny, and educating.

i love him! i took him for both anatomy and physiology! the classes are hard and the tests are long but i learned sooo much and i still remember most everything he taught me to this day. i am in the nursing program and he really prepares you for it because they expect you to know your anatomy and phys! and he's such a nice man!

The class is very difficult. However, Mr. Langjahr makes it a fun and interesting class. You will come out of it with an immense amount of knowledge. If you are unable to make it through this class I would suggest not going on to the nursing program because that will kick your booty!!

He is a great teacher. I came out of the class with a wealth of information. Has many resources for you to get help from if needed. The class is not easy, but not because of the teacher. The material is hard. He is the best teacher to take to learn the most from. Be willing to study A LOT. I recommend his over any other teacher at AVC.

This class is memorization intensive! The book was slightly useful, the purchasable notes worked best. Take advantage of his website where he has all the lectures recorded for you. There is no such thing as an easy anatomy class, so you might as well take him. In this class you will meet people taking it for the 2nd-3rd time. Good luck!

This is an extremely difficult course but Prof. Langjahr is very willing to help and offer his expertise. He tries to make it as interesting as he can and his years of experience prepare the student better than any other teacher I have ever known.The tests are very long and tedious, but he does give you about half the answers ahead of time.

He was a brilliant professor. I really enjoyed his class. I think his tests were way too clinical for an average Anatomy class.

This class is TOUGH!!!!! You have to have absolutley NO LIFE if you wanna pass. He gives you great information and is very knowledgeable however, he writes his test like you are becoming a physician and spelling counts!!! Good luck to anyone who takes this class and remember NO LIFE!!!!!!!!

This teacher is great, but you can not just bs your way through, all tests are written. and he knows his " A" students from the rest.. and grades accordingly

Everyone who says that Langjahr isn't a fair teacher needs to remember this: this class is a MEDICAL class and should be treated accordingly. If you come in with hopes of not having to study or just plain don't want to put in the time to study, you are in for a surprise. And Langjahr DOES grade fair because you get what you earn.

Langjhar is an excellent professor. He tries his best to make this course fun and interesting. He also provides extra CD's and other materials to help his students. Anatomy is a very difficult class. Theres toms of information that will be learned. The test are long and hard. Sometimes the labeling of diagrams are required as well.GOOD LUCK!!!

You better study! Do not procrastinate. He gives every oppertunity to learn. LAB IS AWESOME! Tests are insane - the situational questions will blow your mind. The tests were incrediable - study - do not cram! Study daily for hours. It will pay off but if you take him DO NOT TAKE any other classes at the same time!

Very fair. Lots of critical thinking but I feel very prepared for my major, nursing.

Best professor ever. He really knows his subject and is willing to do what it takes to make you understand. You must study several hours in order to pass his tests. They are mostly critial thinking questions so if you don't study there is no way you will pass. If you are looking to obtain knowledge and not waste your time this is the class to take.

Dont worry Mr. Langjahr, I got your back. All right, anatomy has a 60% drop and fail rate and physiology has a 65% drop and fail rate with him of course. It is possible to get an A. If you have no life and think biology is the cooliest thing on earth. Hes really passionate about the subject. STUDY UNTIL YOU CANT READ ANY FURTHER!!!

Even I don't get A,It's not so sad at all. I am not regret I took his class. After I had done it, I still remember most of it. He knows everything...Unbelievable! First test might be a little tough. Anyway, when you used to anatomical term. It's not a problem.

Best Science experience I have ever had in my entire college life. Yeah, you have to study a lot, but it pays off. I don't recommend taking any other classes along with this one, unless you can handle it.The tests make you think from a logical stand point. It is not just memorization. He's an awesome professor. I recommend his class. For sure Yeah!

really hard, i mean the guy did write the lab book & other work books. but he's legit & knows what he's talking about. i mean its medical you it or you don't. no bs-ing. failed the first time, taking him again. most students fail this class, should be a class taken alone

Great Professor! He is not difficult, the material is. Especially coming from anatomy when you are used to spitting up what you just memorized, you have to UNDERSTAND. I read till I couldnt see anymore and still got a C on the final and an 88% in the class, but that is me. He is very fair. Don't just know what stuff is, know why it is.

Excellent teacher! I was scared to take anatomy with him because I heard he was one of the hardest teachers, but I ended up loving the class. Just make sure you are a good speller!

Mr Langjahr is an excellent professor . Very knowledgeable, great sense of humor. He answers all your questions. You have to study and read the book to pass the Lecture exams, and ensure that you spell correctly the names of the different parts of the body. I am very grateful to have Mr. Langjahr as a teacher. I got the book, but the notes that you buy for his class are enough to help you pass, so i didnt even touch the book. He is a great and nice professor. I'm going to take him again for phys.

This class demands a lot of your time and effort, but when you finish you realize what are you capable of. his class prepares for tougher classes in the medical field, and presents you with the concept of critical thinking

Very hard teacher, but it's a very hard class to begin with. While I learned a lot, I also spent so much time studying each day that I was completely burned out by the end. And yes, I literally studied EVERY SINGLE DAY for each upcoming test. He expects a lot so be prepared to learn EVERYTHING about anatomy. Ultimately, he's a good teacher.

Mr. Langjahr is the best professor I have EVER had! He's awesome and very helpful through out the semester. His class if intense but interesting. I wouldn't mind taking Physiology all over again for fun if he's teaching the course.

Mr. Langjahr is the BEST teacher I ever had. I had him for Anatomy and Physiology. I studied probably about 20 hrs+ for each test. You need to study!!! Text isnt needed for either class, just memorize his lectures! If your gunna be in the nursing program take him, you need to know this material, & you will know it if you succeed! Also very helpful!

He is an excellent professor. He keeps the standards of learning high, and teaches critical thinking skills so we are able to apply the knowledge with a clear understanding. We are very lucky to have such a professor, because as the previous student stated, he is teaching at a level that usually costs much more to achieve for us poor students.

I don't know why the previous rating (done by me) showed helpfulness as moderate - he is extremely helpful and makes himself VERY available to ALL students many days a week. That rating for helpfulness should be at the maximum.

Stephen Langjahr is a wonderful professor always willing to offer help! His exams are challenging, but the more challenging, the better. You actually learn the processes of the human body in such a way that no one else can honestly explain in simpler terms. I highly recommend this guy if you're willing to learn, and I mean LEARN! Awesome teacher.

Great teacher! I continuously asked him questions even trying to stump him -- occasionally he did not have an immediate answer, but always came to the next class with an answer. Hard tests, would definitely recommend making use of the study time/group provided.

I had Professor Langjahr for Anatomy and Physiology. It was tough but I learned so much. Actually in comparison to my friends who had other teachers, I definitely had the materials down better.

This class is extremely hard to begin with, so be prepared to lose sleep studying for the lecture tests and practical. His lectures are pretty clear, but the material learned seems overwhelming. Be sure to get a study group together, and study your butt off!

I had professor Langjahr for physiology and he was the best science teacher i ever had! His teaching style is clear and makes the material easy to understand. He is critical at test grading, but luckily grades on a curve. Amazing man, amazing teacher. Cant express how great he really is!

EXCELLENT teacher.Very talented.Not an easy subject, takes a TON of studying, but he's the teacher you want.Lectures and lab are clear, just a lot of information to learn. I didn't use the book, just studied the notes hard.Listen to the podcasts a day or two before the test while studying and you'll get an A. Podcasts save your butt.Study hard!

Originally intimidated by the reputable professor Langjahr, I have come to love his passion and way of teaching. He's one of the most challenging teachers I've had, but I'm incredibly grateful for it, and know that I am well prepared for my future in the RN program. Don't take the easy path, get the best education possible and take him!

Mr.Langjahr is the best teacher I have ever had. He's very intelligent and loves his subject. He offers a lot of review sessions to help his students connect important concepts.His tests are long and hard, and they require a lot of critical thinking...lots of writing. He's funny and I love him. He grades fairly.

One of the best teachers I have ever had, he really goes out of his way too make sure everything is understood. You don't need to buy the book, everything is taught out of the lecture syllabus however this class does require A LOT of studying so the book may be helpful. You have to be willing to work hard.

This class was not that diff but does require a lot of studying if you take advantage of podcasts books and study packets you should do fine grading curve is a positive .. It's not as bad as all may say it is just have to study

This class was HARD! I have my BA already so I know what it is like to work hard, and I have NEVER tried so hard for a class and not passed. He is a very hard grader (basically if you don't say it EXACTLY like he wants, sorry) No points for lab or anything, just exams and practicals. I would not recommend him. Try someone else.

Anatomy is a difficult subject to begin with. Mr. Langjahr is a great instructor, kept the class extremely engaged, and he was fun in general. He loves the subject he taeches. But his tests are SUPER hard, and I scraped by with a C. It was an extremely difficult semester, but I would take him again for Physiology with NO OTHER CLASS with it!

I am currently in nursing school and I am so thankful I took Professor Langjahr. His class and tests are definitely hard, however, they help develop the critical thinking skills needed for anyone planning on moving forward in medical career paths! He is a really good professor. I understood the material but his test were so hard! I have never studied so much for a college class. He really wants you to be specific on his tests which are like 3 pages long.

I am currently taking this course. After spring break, online 2048 students stayed in the course. That's how hard this class is. You have to STUDY STUDY STUDY. Not knowing most information will drop your grade on his tests. HE wants you to be very specific on his tests. He is a great teacher in and definetly knows his tuff. I recommend taking him

Wow this class is a full time job! This professor will make sure you learn. Be ready to read and take notes for hours. His lectures are short and sweet, his study guide is gold. You brain will overload in this class but in the end I'm glad to say I was one of his students that survived 50 percent pass rate n his class

I've already graduated nursing school and this class prepared me the most for it. This is the kind of class that you stay up hours to study for, the kind of class where u want to quit. This is a class that will make you question your sanity if you're trying to get an A. This is not an easy class but u will be very prepared for nursing if u do it.

Took this class in Fall semester and I will say this. Professor Langjahr is very approachable and nice. His class can be easy for some and tough for most. Lots of studying, long thorough tests and a project due towards the end. Take this class by itself so you can take the time to put everything taught in lecture and what you read all together.

I loved this course! He made it very fun. He does expect a lot from you but he does provide everything to succeed. This course requires a lot of studying but it is worth it because you gain so much valuable knowledge. By far he is the best professor Ive ever had at AVC.

This class was the most interesting class I've taken in college but also demanded a lot of my time. The more I researched I realized how lucky we are to have the cadavers to learn from. Langjahr has worked at this school for over 40 years and you can tell he has mastered his lesson plan and is very organized. He is extremely knowledgable.

This class is harder than heck, but you're going to learn a ton and in great detail. You'll be fine as long as you take advantage of the multitude of study resources Langjahr makes available to you (the sample exams and flash drive answers are +helpful). DO NOT FALL BEHIND. He's extremely helpful, but if you don't put in the effort, you WILL fail.

You'll need to put in the study time but he is clear in his lectures, repeats the process how he wants you to know it for exams. Takes his time lecturing, on point, methodical, easy to follow, just study. AVC's best professor hands down. Study using all his resources.
