He's a very niceguy and does curve grades. There's no need to buy the textbook just use his lectures. His class is pretty easy if you study all of his material but there is a lot to study. Anytime you get a grade, make sure you check your answers to make sure that he didn't mark the correct answer wrong.

This class was so simple it was mind boggling. I had above the maximum allotted points because of curves and extra credit. His tests are extremely simple and he is a great teacher. If you cannot pass with an A in his course you need to rethink your career path. One of the best and easiest teachers around.

He is a very good teacher, test s are very hard ,you need to study very hard if not ............Some time very to understand but he make the class laugh with jocks.

You will definitely learn in this class. I agree that he does seem to favor some students, however, he is very clear on what is expected and is well planned. He gives you the information but you must learn it because he expects a lot and his tests are difficult. Overall, he was a very good professor and very well versed in the subject.

i'm taking his class now and eventhough his lectures can be boring sometimes, the powerpoints are very helpful and some of are exactly from the powerpoints! i'm taking him again next semester!!!

I took him for both first and second A & P. He is very dedicated to the class. You can tell because he grades things right away almost as if he is just as curious of the outcome. He does get harder with tests and it is sometimes hard to understand his concept of explainations but i'd recommand him. Outcome depends on how hard you try!

Dr. Lin is a great teacher. Explains everything chrystal clearly. The tests need to be studied for, however much extra cedit was offered and tests are very fair. Learned a ton in his class. Great teacher to take in the summer. I highly and dearly recommend him for any of the nursing BIO classes. Id definitly take him again.

Professor was really clear about what he wanted you to know on the test. I took him in the summer and because everything is so quick we had two major tests (midterm and final) and he gave us a clear cut study guide. If you knew the study guide and took notes during his lectures YOU WILL GET AN A. Did take a while to return things. good teacher!! :)

Very good lecturer, makes sure students understand material and comes up with interesting ways to remember things.Many assignments &quizzes but they're opportunities not only to bump up your grade, but give context on what's important and what you will be asked in exams.Delightful and charming.Took a while to return grades, but understandably so.

He makes things easy to understand. There's a lot of material but he really does want you too succeed.

He's a nice guy, and is attentive to your needs, but I really wish he would be more clear with what we need to know for exams. He gives us packets, but we have to read and memorize over 100 slides at a time for what MIGHT be on a 50 question test. He is pretty fair on grading lab reports as well. A+P is a tough class no matter who you have.

Yeah hes nice, but TOUGH! No study guides for exams, must memorize loads and loads of info at a time, no extra credit, counts spelling on lab practical, makes you print out notes so it'll use up your 300 free pages quickly, he moves through lectures very quickly, so be ready to teach yourself. I'm taking a different teacher for A+P II.

He was tough, but fair. Willing to help if necessary. Lots of material was covered and he did it quickly. I'm sticking with him for IO 151, at least I know what I'm getting in too

Dr Lin is easy to understand, he tells you exactly what he expects. He likes drawings and his power points are helpful. He gives extra credit on his exams, do them they make a BIG DIFFERENCE! The work is hard but if h sees you are willing he helps. Read your notes daily and look in the syllabus for the chapter guidelines. This helps with the exams

Dr. Lin is one of the best science professor I've had the privilege of taking classes with. I had him for both sections of Anatomy. His expectations are consistent, you're always busy, and he awards extra credit to students that go above and beyond. I got an A in both sections, and when I was struggling with micro, his lectures helped me. Yes i took A&PII with Micro but I got an A. Lin is a 5.0. I struggled w/science b4!

Loved him. He made it very clear and easy to break down and learn. I highly suggest. Has a slight accent so some people have trouble with him but its minimal and i had no problem.

Dr. Lin is hands down the best professor at DCCC. He is so enthused about the material that he gets excited. While the material is difficult at times, He will always tell you what to remember in lectures, so pay attention. Assigns four quizzes, four exams, two practicals and a group assignment. Also gives extra credit on quizzes and exams

Dr. Lin is a very nice professor, willing to help any student that needs help. HARDDDDDDD class, but should be expected because it's Anatomy. Tons of memorization. Must study day and night in order to pass. Test are tough but if you study you should pass. Does not prepare you enough for lab practicals only provide a study guide and that's it.

Professor Lin is hands-down the best professor I have ever had, and this is my second time around for a bachelors degree. His power points are well written and he goes over everything. If you miss a lot of class, you miss important material. His labs are well organized. You have to do the work and try, but he offers extra credit.

Seriously the best anatomy teacher i could have asked for. Though learning anatomy & physiology is super tough, he makes it easy & fun! He does make you work for your grades.

Loved him! Had in the summer, and made anatomy a pleasure to be there. Class was a bit fast, but it was uncontrollable. He made sure he repeated himself a lot so everyone could understand.

A&P is a tough course period, but he makes his expectations very clear. Lectures from powerpoints and his test are based off those. Never used my textbook, but the photo atlas was useful. Kind teacher with fair tests. Extra credit offered before quizzes. I'll be taking him again for A&P2. Study regularly and don't cram!LEARN YOUR BONES! :)

Dr. Lin wants to see all his students succeed. he offers extra credit & make up tests because he understands people make mistakes. he gives great study guides of things that will exactly be on the test. would HIGHLY recommend him. his classes usually have a wait list so register at 12!

Dr. Lin is one of the best Professors in the Biology department. He is patient. I always look forward to his lectures because I know I will be learning materials that will be on exams. I enjoyed taking those quizzes they usually help to prepare you for the exams. Labs days are exciting you will enjoy them as well. Best of luck future students!

Taking A & P in the summer is crazy. The amount of studying is unreal. Dr. Lin did an awesome job getting us the information we needed in such a short time. If you go to class and study hard you will do well in his class.

If you take it in the summer be prepared to work HARD! Dr. Lin is amazing, his lectures are clear, very enjoyable and on point. Exams are not easy, but if you attend, take notes and study everyday you will get an A. There is extra credit to help you a bit, as everyone makes mistakes. A lot of stress but don't give up! I will take Dr. Lin for A&P II

THE BEST biology professor at DCCC. I took his class last semester. A kind soul, AND great teacher. He teaches you the most important material and repeats everything so you memorize during lectures. Bio 151 is a HARD class no matter who you take but Dr. Lin explains it so you understand the process and don't just memorize the facts. TAKE HIM!

Took professor Lin over summer for A&P 1 and would take him again for sure! while he doesn't make the class easy, he provides you with all the materials you need to pass! If you put in your work, you will be fine. Would take him again!

Dr Lin in my opinion was a very honest teacher and you will not pass his class if you don't try. He lectures off of the powerpoints, so make sure to attend most classes so you don't miss any details. If you study your notes and the study guides, you will do okay.

Best A&P teacher I've ever had. Gives study guides & extra credit. However, he was unorganized on his tests and he did rush the second half of the semester. You don't need the textbook or APR- the library has it for free if you need it. Going to class is important bc he will tell you things you need to remember- but there is no participation grade.

Dr. Lin is a wonderful prof. He gives a clear grading structure and you know what is expected of you. Textbook is not needed since he gives great powerpoints. All of his exams are off of the powerpoints and he gives you study guides to help. Exams can be tricky but if you study and show up for lecture and lab you will pass with an A.

Dr. Lin was by far the best professor I had for any science course. Don't bother to buy the text book, he even says that. Nothing he tests on are from the textbook, its from his powerpoints. So much extra credit its amazing.

Dr. Lin is an excellent professor that cares for students to understand the content. This class is no joke. You absolutely must attend all lectures and labs, and you have to study your ass off and know the material. It's a hard class, but he teaches the content well and is very clear with his expectations. He is a great teacher!

Steve Lin gives good feedback, is accessible outside of class, is engaging, lectures are easy to understand, inspirational, quizzes help SO much with studying for the exams, clear grading criteria, funny, lecture heavy (BUT interesting & clear & HELPFUL lectures- he encourages students to ask Qs), caring, some extra credit, NO papers, fair grader!

Honestly, if you find Professor Lin's class difficult or need to drop his class... I think you need to rethink your major. Dr. Lin breaks down the material very well and make sure his student ACTUALLY understands it. He will be redundant if he thinks his class is not following. Do your homework & prepare for quizzes and exams using his lectures.

I definitely recommend Dr. Lin. He is by far one of the best educators I ever encountered.

He is a GREAT PERSON and INSTRUCTOR! AP is tough. He provides lots of material and help to study from! The incompetent fail his class. Success rate is around 20-30%. I personally asked him about this. He is not happy about it, but this community college reality. Most will fail.

Professor Lin is caring, give extra credit when needed, if you need help he is willing during office hours, this class is tough, and taking online makes it difficult, testes are a little hardyou will need to do some extra research online, he does go into details on lecture but can go off-topic. Just make sure you study, study and you will be fine.

Professor Lin provided tons of resources and feedback. He also video tapped himself giving the lectures. He tends to repeat himself but that's how I learned the material. I ended the class with an A, have a full time job and a baby at home. If you pay attention and put in the work you should have no problem passing the class. 10/10 recommend.

If you show up to class, you'll get a clear understanding of the material. He gives great analogies/examples for understanding. He has lots of homework, quizzes, and exams. He is very accessible outside of class, usually responded in minutes. He can oversimplify organization a bit to a tedious point but overall he was great. Don't buy text or atlas

I am so happy I took Dr Lin for Bio 150. There is a lot of information to take In but it is not hard as long as you study and review material. He is very helpful and goes the extra mile to explain things if you do not understand. I plan on taking him again for bio 151

Amazing lectures: he breaks each subject down & gets to the point. While it may be 10 videos the total time between ALL is less than a hour. He gives voice feedback about your grade. Go to his office hours, trust! He loves teaching this class. He wants you to succeed.

Great professor. Have nothing bad to say other that he can ignore you sometimes when you ask a question during lab (he did to me multiple times) but was probably unintentional. STUDY FOR THOSE PRACTICALS !!!!!!!!! I cannot stress that enough!!!

Prof Lin by far one of the best professors I've had at dccc. If you attend class he does in class questions and you can get attendance points towards your grade. He wants the students to pass and he responded quickly to my emails. He made the class interesting and he is real "passionate" about it.

Dr. Lin is a very dedicated professor, in his class you can feel his passion for academics and at the same time you will be infected by him. His Office hour is also very helpful and he will patiently explain your doubts. Trust me, you won't regret taking his class!

Easy going. Exam questions come from the homework, that's the only thing I used to study. Attendance isn't mandatory but you do get extra points towards your grade for the days you show up. Allows make-up tests if you miss it the day of class as long as you schedule it was the testing center and make him aware. Will be taking him for BIO151

Best professor I've ever seen in my life, bar none. Never seen any professor who cares so much about students. His lectures are clearly focused and homework is very helpful. He's very patient and friendly, will provide everything he can to help his students succeed. I can't think of any reason why such a good professor would have such a low rating.

My sister had him said he was great, she was not kidding. His class fills up first for a reason (like you need to be on at midnight to register) he is amazing I still remember some of his anecdotes. He really wants the class to succeed and does not run his class with favorites, I've never seen him treat anyone badly, would so take again!

Professor Lin is engaging and wants students to succeed. While he can be tough, using unstuckstudy and staying on top of the work will pay off. Highly recommended for BIO150/151 courses.

Harsh lab report grader, homeworks are multiple try. Class grade relies mainly on exams and lab reports. If you don't show up for class, you will not succeed. If you put the time and effort in you will be fine. I studied 40-60 hours a week. Quiz questions are the exact same as homework questions. Highly recommend and would take again.

Dr. Lin is an excellent prof that really tries to help students. Some people say he plays favorites, but that didn't seem the case to me. Some stuff: The extra credit you can get by the end of the semester through attendance alone is huge. His labs are easily understood and his HWs are super easy and many of those questions are on the tests.

I find his questions to be easy. He gives a lot of hw but it helps when the exam comes. He's a good professor you just better remember bio150 when you. come to his class.
