Great math instructor, however more detailed explitation of why we are doing something would be good but overall i would totally recomend him. i am deffly afraid of math and he is just a very approachable guy and is always willing to help.

Professor Poole is overall a very good professor. He is clear in lecture and gives good examples to work with. I had to retake his statistics class but i'm glad I did. This guy's awesome and is one of the best math professors that i've had. He makes sure you understand the material and because of that I understand this real well. I recommend this professor to any students who are actually willing to learn.

This instructor wants his students understand his lessons, how stats are used (and misused) in real life, and that he is always available for extra help. Attend class and moderate studying should guarantee an A. Good sense of humor too.

This teacher is all about the students his notes are easy and most of the questions are simialr to the labs. Very nice to talk to and get help. but it is best that you attend class to understand the material

If you go to class everyday and take notes you'll do fine. Doing the homework gives you easy points, some of the homework will be on the quizes, and a lot of that will be on the exams.

If you are not a math person like i am i truly recommend going to the tutoring center with chris. However, Dr. Poole is a really good teacher. He is willing to help at all times. He is well organized and funny too! Text book not required. A lot of labs. Tests are okay. And best of all.. he gives you until the 3rd exam to change to CR/NC. Take him!!

Great professor! All his exams are based on labs and quizzes. The only thing I didn't like was that his labs were between 3-5 points and his exams are 75 points each, except for the final being 100 points. As long as you study & ask for him when needed you can get an easy A. I highly recommend this professor.

He's awesome. He is extremely helpful, is very fair with grading, and makes the class very easy to pass if you do your homework and study for his exams. Exams are easy if you do the Quiz preps he assigns. He doesn't pull any punches. Good sense of humor too, so he makes class worth going to.

Explains everything very well, he does not try to trick you on the exams or have you do something without explaining it. As long as you do your homework and show up to class you will pass. Mr Poole is a very nice guy and is always willing to help.

Mr. Poole is a great teacher, he is very helpful and wants to make sure that everyone understands the topics presented. I suggest if you struggle with math to begin with to attend his office hours because he has always helped me when in need. I am not sure why someone would say that he does not care about his students because I think he does.

If it wasn't for Mr. Poole, I would never be able to pass this class. YES, he cares about his students because anytime I needed help, he was there and went over anything I needed until I got it. He only teaches finite in the Spring i believe, so take him and you will get this class done. 3 exams, hw every week. but goes over everything inclass

He is very organized and the structure for the labs/quizes really made it helpful to learn from from your mistakes on each chapter before taking the test. Mr. Poole is a great professor. Unfortunately, this class is a remedial class, so you don't get the units for it. If you earn an A on the first exam, then he will give you the option of completing the rest of the class independently. There is quite a bit of homework, 3 exams, and 1 cumulative final - all easy. Overall, easy class!

Poole is the best stats instructor on campus. Class consists of HW,weekly quizzes(not always), and four exams. His exams and quizzes are very similar to the in class work. Highly recommend Poole as your stats instructor.

Interesting class with a broad focus. Poole is "to the point" and very clear on each section covered. A new section each class so if you miss, you will be lost. Several quizzes and three big exams. Gives partial credit though if you try. Easy class if you love math. Otherwise it could be challenging. watched students drop like flies after exam 3.

Best math teacher I've ever had. Take him! His lectures are easy to follow and he will work with you after lecture till you get it. Exam are tough and worth a huge percentage of your grade, so study your notes. Quiz prep online helps you on every quiz. Accommodating as well to a issue I had during the semester.

Statistics is hard, but Pr. Poole made it as easy as possible. Good teacher. He is always available for help and really willing to have one-on-one time which is rare for a teacher. The classes are very important to attend and studying is beyond a must. Exams are difficult, but just study your class notes and you'll be fine.

Dr. Poole is an AMAZING prof. He is so helpful and sweet. He is clear and teaches step by step. I put CRNCR because I got lazy in the end with the hard stuff (hypothese). I would highly recommend taking this course with Dr. Poole. He was very nice and helpful. Make sure to turn in the in-class labs every class meeting and study a lot for the four exams. Textbooks are not necessary. Overall, the class was straightforward and was easy to pass as long as you keep up with the labs and do well on exams.

Here is the information you need to know about Steve Poole. He is a GREAT professor that explains the notes in detail. There are labs that are mandatory and are good practice problems for tests. The tests are exactly like the practice problems given on the labs so if you study how to do those you are golden

Homework is done in class during lab times. The teacher is very helpful and clear when teaching. If you have a bad grade at the end of the semester is it because you didn't put enough effort. A lot of memorizing, Quizzes about every 3 weeks. Don't fall behind.

Took him for finite and stats. Excellent professor! His lectures are clear and his tests are graded nicely. As long as you show him you know how to do the steps of a problem, you won't get points docked for miscalculations. Got an A in both courses. Recommend him highly.

Wow! If you struggle in Math Poole is the teacher to take. He is clear, helpful, and understanding. There are hw and in class assignments every day but they are easy and help you Ace all your quizzes and exams. His class is set up for success!

Mr. Poole is honestly a super cool dude. He's super sweet, nice, caring and has a quirky sense of humor. He really wants his students to pass and if you have any questions don't hesitate. Highly recommend him and also be sure to get the textbook, you will definitely need it.

My second time taking finite and this professor really knows how to teach it. He won't move on until everyone understands the material. Theres short homework everyday but he puts up the answers so you don't technically need the book. I stopped using the book halfway through the semester and just studied with my notes and I still ended with an A.

He really cares about his students and will cater to their needs. Easily approachable with questions and he will go step by step in showing you the process of solving. He can be a goofball at times during lectures. He does have quite a number of quizzes before exams, but he lets you know ahead of time when they are. Not a lot of HW problems.

Lectures are super simple and the labs are just a paper with a few problems. Sweet man who is not hard on you if you didnt do the homework once or twice, will let you do it during class and turn it in. Tells you whats on the quizzes and exams and makes it easy to review. He's a sweet man who really knows how to explain finite clearly. A lot of HW but it really helps your grade if you don't do good on the quizzes or exams. He will go step by step on something you don't understand and goes over things that will be on the test or quizzes beforehand.

Professor Poole is the nicest professor on campus. He knows which students are putting in the effort or not. Your grade is based on homework (which is around 5 problems a lesson), quizzes (that are extremely easy), and tests(which you HAVE TO study for) and the final exam that covers everything.

Professor Poole is an incredibly caring and genuine guy. He provides help whenever needed and the work is not hard at all. Easy homework and easy exams. No projects and most of the labs are done during class time. Poole makes statistics interesting and seems to genuinely enjoy it. Great lectures and overall a great class.

Best prof I've taken yet at Stan. Attendance is key here. Take plenty of notes each class. He recaps lessons for 10-30 mins, then goes over new material w/In-Class hw and regular hw due at the end. Few pop-quizzes, 3 exams, 1 final (cumulative). Good/funny lectures, and doesn't expect you to know it all at the get go. 7 years w/out math, & got an A

Really good teacher. Probably my favorite teacher I took my first semester. His lectures are really easy to understand and he makes sure you understand it as well. If you have any questions he will gladly help you. Make sure you do all the homework and classwork and you will understand the material.

Easily one of the best math teachers/professors I've ever had. He makes the material really easy to understand and is always open to questions if you're having trouble understanding something. Quizzes are about every two weeks while exams are about once a month. Both quizzes and exams are really easy. He's a pretty funny person too.

The subject itself was hard for me, but if I think about the bigger picture, this class was actually really easy. He doesn't take attendance but it's your responsibility to get the notes. There was 3 exams and a few quizzes and a final. His exams are actually pretty complicated so study everything you can. Sweet teacher.
