Did not teach anything relevant to mid-term or exam. These are the only 2 grades in the class. Didn't teach more than 30 minutes but not worth the negative effect on your GPA.

There is no point to this guy's lectures. What makes this class hard is not the subject matter, but the lack of clarity in the lectures. There are only two test, but the only one that counts for your grade is the final.

This guy thinks he has the world figured out, but talks about health care, to a supply curve to what we do, to alcohol consumption, to shaq having a big house. two tests, screw this class.

The grading scale is a little intimidating at first...Just a midterm and final with the final counting 100% unless you do better on the midterm and then the final will count 60% and the midterm 40%. Worked out great...no papers or reading or attendance..

don't take this class with him! it wasn't super hard, but it's a waste of your time. only 2 grades in the class, & his lectures have nothing to do with the exams. his teaching method is very outdated. dont waste your time, it's very frustrating

So, bascially it is nice not having an attendance policy but he only gives two grades in the class. A lot of his lectures overlap or are repeated and you will have more academic deja-vous than any other class.

Pointless lectures, only a midterm, final (136 questions) and subscription to the Wall-street journal. His repetition of the easy material and lack of clarity (and teaching) of the more complicated material was atrocious.

i still haven't figured out what i was suppose to learn in his class. the whole semester is based on 1 test, which he decided the nite before the final to make ALL ESSAY. condescending too.

He is a brilliant professor who knows what he's talking about. He WILL make you work for your grade, but you will actually be able to understand the material if you pay attention. The tests are difficult, but he has great extra credit and is very insightful one-on-one.

Typical "old school professor." Tests and lectures have nothing to do with each other. We have had 2 tests so far and there has been 1 A counting both tests. No Curve. Doesn't care. Doesn't realize that when 3/4 of the class is a C or below, that something might be wrong with him. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

The tests are very difficult, multiple choice questions, but if you read the chapters and know the chapters well you can do well on the tests. Class is hard, but he is a very smart and interesting man. Would take him again.

Probably one of the worst teachers in the Cameron School of Business. He does not care about his students grades anymore than he cares about prviding the appropriate info for test. If you care for your GPA do not take him because he doesn't.

Worst professor at UNCW. He is an idiot who's lectures and test have no connection. He doesn't care whether his students are learning the material or not. When 3/4 of the class almost fail every test that should tell you something. I had not made a C in college untill I took his class.DO NOT TAKE!

Means well, uses real life examples but doesn't teach much - tests fairly easy but makes you buy the wall street journal and quizes you on the front page every Friday - tells you not to study them, just read, but can't pass any without studying!

He is one of those teachers that gives the concept of "tenure" a bad name. Too bad for such policies b/c they allow horrible teachers to remain and waste students' time and money. If you never attend class & read the entire book then you'll pass b/c his lectures have nothing to do with his tests.

Quite possibly the WORST professor at UNCW. Has passive-aggressive problems, makes fun of students on occasion, and his lectures are mostly disorganized ramblings about get-rich-quick schemes. Quizzes students on the Wall St. Journal by picking out the most senseless esoterica for questions. He is a joke and a mockery of his profession.

oh my god did i hate this class. when he gives you real estate advice, don't forget that he's in a mess right now. 2 of the trailer parks he slumlords in leland were just closed for having inadequate sewers and sewage pools in the yards that he had neglect

This guy is a terrible teacher. You think he's giving you good knowledge but once you see the test, you spend time on every question like you have never seen it before. Its too hard and the lectures are boring and irrelevant to the material needed to know for the class. He was my last resort, and I still dropped his class.

He is a really nice guy but he is not a good teacher. He knows what he is talking about but doesnt know how to convey it. You basically have to teach yourself but it isnt hard material and his tests are easy and so are the wallstreet journal quizes. not as bad as everyone thinks. Dont take him if you will not read the textbook to teach yourself.

THE WORST! Class is a total waste of time. The guy can hardly speak. Lectures are nonsense, the tests are terrible. He tries to confuse you on every test question. Does not care about students if they pass or fail. Gives wrong answers to test, you have to re-check them. Plan on reading Wall Street Journal everyday! Don't take this class!!!

He is more interested in his own affairs than the students. He lets you out early every class but puts questions on the test that he never came close to touching on in class. Worst educational experience I have had at UNCW, do not take this guy! I thought this class sucked!

really not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. read the chapters and you will be fine. took him for summer school and we were only in class an hour each day. easy tests as long as you read the chapters.

I have taken Robinson for 3 different courses and his class really isnt that hard. people just dont want to pay attention. Econ isnt an easy subject. Most of my friends did much more work in their respective classes. if you do take him, try to participate. If he likes you, you can expect a little grade boost at the end of the sememster.

This class is basically self taught- has no attendance policy but class average on first test was below a 70 and most people failed it. Class notes dont end up on tests learn on your own you might get a C. take someone else if you can. Hall is not that wonderful either but he is better than Robinson

He is not a bad prof at all. The homework was really easy so that is a boost to the grade. The tests were not very difficult either, everything was covered in the text. Just read the book and make sure you understand the material and you can't go wrong.

Horrible Professor. Lost our tests, had no clue what he was talking about the majority of the time, often expressed his own personal views which were antiquated, and frankly spent more time rambling than teaching.

Awful old man. He needs to retire and never teach again. Doesn't deserve to have the title of being a professor. Shows up late to class evrday, even 25 min late the day we had a test, lets you out late cuz he doesn't understand that people have other classes to go to. Talks about anything but econ, so its kinda hard to know what's on the tests

This has been the worse experience I have had at UNCW. This professor lost our tests, did not follow through the syllabus horribly, lied to us, and changed the format of our final on the DAY of the final so we had no notice of it going from a m/c to essay questions. DO NOT TAKE HIM!!!

The WORST teacher of all time!! Do NOT take him. We only had 1 test the entire semester which he gave back on the last day of class. Then our final exam was suppose to be multiple choice, but on the day of the final he changed it to essays. Didn't follow any structure. He's HORRIBLE!! DO NOT TAKE!! DO NOT TAKE!!!

All I have to say is that the man said I was "very rude" for raising my hand to ask a question while he was talking. A teacher who tells you that your high school AP teacher is not as smart as he is should not be allowed in a classroom. If you like having the same class day after day and testing on things you never discussed, than take this class.

His tests and lectures don't match and rambles about pointless topics. We were supposed to have 4 tests and as of now we haven't had our 2nd test AVOID at all costs

Do not take him he is the worst teacher ever. I have went to the Dean on him and he still did not do anything he is probably still here because he has a tenure. Had him for ECN 221 and ECN 324. The worst teacher at UNCW. Save your money and DO NOT TAKE HIM unless you want a low GPA.

Absolutely the worst teacher ever. Grades consist of three or four tests. Tests aren't extremely hard because you will teach yourself. I am scared to take the next level of econ because I have not learned anything from him.

The guy knows what he is talking about but he is terrible at teaching you about it. I wouldn't recommend him if you can get another prof. you learn stuff that isn't pertaining to the class and then he says you have a test the next day. basically...Don't take him.

He is such a nice guy, but such a terrible teacher. Probably should have retired a while ago. He rambles on about nothing, teaches based on his own biased opinions, spends half the class writing useless info on the board, and the tests have nothing to do with what he "teaches." Do NOT take him for any reason or you will immediately wish you hadn't.

Dr. Robinson is probably the nicest professor I've ever had, but unfortunately, he can't teach his way out of a paper bag. His tests are ridiculous, the multiple choice questions are just statements and the essays are just your opinions that he grades. It's so sad that someone so nice is such an awful professor. Don't take him.

Dr. Robinson is a very nice person but he doesn't know how to teach. He spends half of the class writing, very slowly, information that he will never test you on. He test your opinion based reasoning and you will only be right if you agree with his opinions. If you have to take economics, DO NOT TAKE STEVE ROBINSON!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!

Dr Robinson is nice but should not be a professor. He teaches and tests on his opinion and can be very borderline offensive/****/or **** with some of his comments. Normally I dont critisize professors but ABSOLUTLY do not take him! Even as as an easy class, you will be disappointed that your time and money is wasted on taking this class.

I'm not sure if people realize this but Ned and Steve Robinson are the same person. Anyway, attending the lecture is completely unnecessary. As long as you read the text book you will do excellent on the tests. And he's a very nice, understanding man. His lectures are not worthwhile, granted, but it's an interesting and easy enough course.

Dr. Robinson may seem unorganized but trust me this guy knows his stuff. subj. was interesting and class was enjoyable. sometimes he forgets little details, but always corrects it and if need be curves the exam. xtra cred for attending lectures/movies. Exams are 30 question multiple chioce. Take this class...you won't be dissapppointed!

Poor teacher, teaches based on his opinion and since he wrote the book it is essentially useless. didn't think I would find such a low caliber teacher in college however he is a very nice guy. Nonetheless, class is very boring, and the test have nothing to do with the lecture.

Although a nice man, he has no idea how to teach. He shows up to class late and disorganized, which reflects very poorly on him (He even showed up 30 min late to the final because he was still making it) Tests will blindside you even though you think you have a grasp on the topics. Avoid Strongly and pick a better teacher.

Dr. Robinson is a super nice guy but he cannot teach a basic class to save his life. The material is interesting but his lectures are pointless because all the material on the tests comes from the textbook. I still somehow got an A so all the stress was worth it.

He means well, but is way too picky when it comes to word choice in essays. Midterm is 15 2page essays. He only grades 4 though. Sometimes he doesn't even understand his own questions. Very confusing. Unless you are an english major, don't take this class.

If you need economics as a core requirement, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! His lectures are repetitive and not mandatory. He fails the whole class, and MAY give a B as the highest grade. There's NO quizzes, homework that's graded, or tests. Only essay prompts with grammatical errors so you have no feedback..complete waste of time. Nice guy, bad teacher.

THE WORST TEACHER YOU WILL EVER TAKE. He has no idea what he's talking about half the time and the only grades he gives out are the midterm & final which consist of 15 ?s that you are required to write two pages for each. He wanted us to buy the book, but told us to use Google to get the info needed for the midterm and final..WORST EXPERIENCE

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH STEVE ROBINSON! You will have a midterm assignment of 15 essay topics and a final that is an additional 15 assignments. Even after sending to the writing center, still received a D. Very discouraging and confusing! He rambles and does not help with the essay topics. Should be fired!!!!

Dr. Robinson is a nice guy but I will never take a class with him ever again. He is very unorganized and his tests have nothing to do with the lectures. He also never tells you what your grade is so you literally get a surprise at the end of the year. Hopefully its an A.

Awesome guy with very insightful lectures, but he is very disorganized. I received an A with minimal effort but I honestly wasn't sure if I was going to get an A or D based on the randomness of his class. 10 2pg. essays for midterm and final, but they are double spaced and 14 font so not that bad. I would recommend him even tho others wouldn't

HORRIBLE TEACHER. I went to every lecture. His notes are everywhere. He forgets to add things and draws lines across the board to connect his notes. He forgets what he talks about and repeats and writes things twice. This man does not use any technology. Other administrators email you if class is cancelled. Opinionated and no concrete lesson plan.

I've had great professors with awful reviews before, so I thought I'd give him a chance. But THIS IS THE WORST TEACHER I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. The biggest waste of time and 500$ of my life, makes me sick. 50 minute classes are often 10 mins. 2 grades total in the entire class. HORRIBLE

Though he is nice, he is a horrible teacher. There was a midterm and a final. The lectures last 15 minutes and are pointless because the test questions are highly interpretational and only vaguely retaliate to the lecture or book. Would not take this class or recommend him.

Robinson knows a lot about economics and is nice, but that doesn't make up for his teaching ability. In my class of 80 students, only about 12 show up on average. He gives you a lesson schedule at the beginning of the semester so you know what chapters to read; he follows it for about 2 weeks then goes all over the place. Don't take Robinson.

By far my worst experience with a professor, whether he knows his stuff or not he will never tell it to you, if you end up getting this class might as well not go because lectures do not pertain to the TWO grades he has. Steer clear of him at all costs not worth your time, money, or frustration.

Don't take a class with this guy because you'll actually have to exhibit accountability, take initiative, actually read the textbook, and work hard, kinda like the way real life is. When you go to your first job, not including waiting tables or flipping burgers, the learning curve is going to be out of this world challenging. He prepares you.

You will most likely get a C or worse in the class, does not matter how much you study. 2 exams throughout the year that will base your entire class grade. His reviews are not helpful, he didnt even give us the review answers. I am currently a senior and took this class freshman year to say that this is the worst professor at UNCW.
