Took anatomy last year and failed it. Didn't learn a thing. Switch professors and took Steve this year. Blown away. Not only is he a clear during lecture he wants you to succeed and thrive. I have never felt like a professor cared about my grade until this class. Will push you but you will grow if you put the hours in .
Great professor that helps you learn the material and does not leave you hanging.
Steve is a great professor! he really cares about his students and wants them to pass. He has tutoring every Friday. It helps a lot! If you show up to class ready to learn and study and home you can do it.
Great professor with a good personality. He cares about his students and will give them every opportunity to pass.
Great professor that will make you enjoy the class and cares a lot about his students!
Steve is a really good Prof. He knows what he is talking about and even offers tutoring which is really helpful.
Steve is a great professor! He cares about his students and wants you to do well in the class. He offers tutoring every Friday, which is very helpful! I highly recommend his class.
So BOOM, Steve is a great professor but you definitely have to put the work in. I recommend that you spend as much time as you can with the cadavers and models in class and look over the textbook at home. Also, if you take his class, use "PaulLang3" on Quizlet as a helpful source. Shoutout to Paul. He is a great TA!!! Tutoring offered every friday!
Great professor! Test are long and with tons of material, but he prepares you for it. Take advantage of lab and lecture! You will need them for the test and quizzes throughout the semester. I enjoyed his course. He funny, passionate, and cares about his students. Take him!
Great!
Best Professor I've ever had! Very hands on and is there for the students benefits, always down to help out students. Wants every student to succeed.
Steve was a great professor! Anatomy is a hard subject, so the difficulty of the class was expected. Steve does his best to make you understand the content and actually remember what you are learning. If you are going into the medical field, TAKE HIM! You will retain the information for later use.
Great professor! Really passionate about anatomy, he cares about his students. Test cover a lot of material, but he prepares you for them. Make sure to take advantage of lab and lecture time. You will need the information to past test and quizzes. I enjoyed this course.
This class is not an easy class but if you want to really learn anatomy I really recommend him. He really takes his time to teach everyone and makes it all relatable. This is a class that requires a lot of studying out of class. It is not an easy A but it is possible.
Professor Smith is a great professor! His method of teaching is impeccable and I really understood the material. The tests were not diffuclt if you study well enough, and there is no additonal work besdies quizzes. If you really want to learn anatomy well, take this professor.
Smith is an amazing professor. Anatomy is a very hard course but Steve gives you all of the tools to help you succeed!
You have to study outside of class if you want to pass. Dr. Smith is amazing. He helps you learn the material instead of just memorizing it. He has free tutoring. Go if you can. It really helps.
He is an excellent teacher! Make sure to read and prepare for the quizzes by those points add up. He gives study guides and is willing to help you learn and improve. Try to attend his study sessions as well. He truly wants his students to succeed.
if you take anatomy, take it with him! he is great, the class is just a hard class. the professor is great though!
TAKE THIS CLASS. You get out what you put in-- but this professor makes it much more enjoyable to learn to material and even go to class. He is so caring and really wants his students to succeed. 2 quizzes per unit. The tests are hard, but if you study and put time into it, theres no reason you wont pass. Extra credit and bonus are given.
Such a great professor. He really works with you and you can tell how much he cares. Its not an easy class, and he knows that. Hell throw in random points here in there to help out the class. He wants to see you do well.
Good professor, but did not do much teaching.
Mr. Smith is absolutely my favorite professor in all of college so far. I am a student at OSU and came to UCO just to take his class because of such great feedback by other people. He genuinely cares about his students success and wants them to do well and really know the material. I highly highly recommend taking his class!! You wont regret it.
Take him if you ever want to succeed in an anatomy class. He actually prepares you and lets you do as you please so if you fail, it is absolutely not his fault. He will give you everything you need and more. So, just show up, enjoy his jokes, learn the material and read some at home. You'll be prepared for any kind of medical field after his class.
Honestly one of my favorite professors. He genuinely cares about his students and helps in anyway he can. Its a hard course, theres a lot of material but he explains it well. Dont skip lectures if you can help it, you only get so much time with cadavers. Study hard and study early because you dont want to get behind in this class.
Take him if you want to be prepared for the real world. He really cares about his students and does what he can to help you understand the material.
I took Steve for anatomy, and he is truly one of my favorite professors! He is so kind and caring. He really cares about his students and how they are handling the class. You definitely have to go to class, study on your own time, and go to his tutoring sessions. However, if you try you should not have a problem. I really loved him and his class!!
Steve is a great professor! He genuinely cares about each individual in his classes and makes an effort to talk to everybody. This class is tough, but if you attend class and make an effort to study outside of class you will do fine!
Professor Steve is an awesome professor! He makes anatomy a really fun course. The tests can be rough, but as long as you study you'll do good. He always answers any emails or questions you may have outside of class promptly.
Generally disorganized, but he does care. On the whole, above par.
Steve is one of my favorite professors I've had at UCO. He is so kind and really wants his students to succeed. I recommend taking advantage of his free personal tutoring sessions he does because they help a lot! As long as you go to class and put in the work this class shouldn't be too hard. This was one of the most fun classes I've ever taken!
He cared about his students, very helpful, and you can see he loves his job. Make sure you go to class (although not required) being IN class helps a lot. It is a very hands-on class. He notices the small details about everyone.
Steve is a great professor and he is very caring. One thing about this class is get ready to do all the work with your group, Steve is going to be around to help you but most work is done is done by you. As long as you study and use the lab time you will be good!
This class is hard but if you put in the time getting a good grade is not impossible if you put in the work. Cadavers are used in this class which was very cool. The only grades that are taken in this glass are tests and quizzes. He gives one extra credit opportunity and sprinkles in extra credit on tests and quizzes.
I'm a graduate from another university and specifically took this class with Steve because of the reviews I heard from others. He genuinely cares for his students and is always willing to help you. You have to be self-motivated because his class is mainly just time for you to study, if you use the time wisely you won't have to study much outside.
Professor Smith was amazing! If you dont go to class, you wont pass. He makes everything clear so there are no trick questions but you HAVE to study. I would recommend him because he gives you plenty of time to study so that you are prepared for his tests
His class his great, the professor is great, and the TA's are great. This class is composed of 10 quizzes and 5 exams. Some quizzes have bonus with them, and all the exams have bonus. At the end of the semester there is also an extra credit paper worth up to 10 points. Highly recommended but you have to be willing to put effort and study for an A.
Anatomy generally is a hard class but if u put in time, you wil get a good grade. steve makes it easy. He lets you work in groups of your chioce while he moves around the all class to answer all questions. He gives extra credit , he also have 10mquizes with bonus points.
He is one of my favorite professors at UCO. He is very responsible and hes always there to help you out if you need. Theres 5 Exams and 10 quizzes. Theres also the TAs who also around to help . Theres a lot to study so dont miss class. DEFINITELY TAKE HIM, you wont regret it. Best of luck
Highly recommend taking this professor! Anatomy is pretty difficult but if you get one on one time with him or the PAs youll do fine! He explains everything very well to better your understanding. Hes also a jokester! He will definitely make you laugh daily.
Class is pretty tough since it doesn't have an outline for all the information on the exams. Material is pretty huge and requires frequent studying of the cadaver. Due to COVID-19, I had the last 2 sections taken online. I am neutral towards this professor.
Steve is one the best professors I've ever had at UCO! the corona cut the class to online bu before that his class was loosely structured, he was super helpful. always had extra credit on exams, quizzes every week. Great professor, some lecture but not a whole lot! His class is "easy" but anatomy isn't, still have to study ALOT!!!
One of the best professors I have ever had! He really cares about his students, he uses different methods to learn. This class goes at your own pace, a very hands-on learning setting. He makes learning Anatomy fun and understanding. The amount of work that you put into this class, is what your grade will! Definitely recommend him, HE IS AWESOME!
He definitly cares about every single ones of his students, but doesn't give out free cards. You really have to work for it and study to get the grade you want. He also is easy to talk to about any grades or questions you might have about a certain topic. He is also good with letting students be as hands on as they want to be.
Go to class!!! The anatomical models will become your best friends and are a key part of the exams.
110% recommend Steve!!! He genuinely cares about his students & their careers, is funny & laid back. My fave college course ever, thanks to Steve!! Was nervous to take this class due to the study load but as long as you put in the effort it'll pay off! He makes anatomy so interesting & is so knowledgable. He is always there to answer any questions!
This class was really hard, and the tests were weighted very heavy. We had 50 questions for 10pts, and that did not help my grade at all. I know COVID-19 came and messed things up, but I feel like more help and communication would have been helpful. I enjoyed it, but if not needed, I would not take it again.
This was my second time taking his class after i failed the first time. I will admit, i could have put more effort into the class the first time. When i came back and hanged my study habits my scores improved Significantly. He is an amazing lecturer, and very funny. He will look out for you whenevr you need it, and he really means it.
Theres an extra credit assignment you can do at the end of the class. If you stay on top of studying you should do okay in his class.
As a senior in college, I have had many good professors while some have been not so good. I traveled from Stillwater to take the course, and it was well worth it. Steve is an awesome professor and an even better human being. You will not regret the amount of stuff you will learn from this class because he truly cares about his students.
Steve is like an awesome uncle who is always rooting on. If you actually participate in the class and use all of the tools he gives you, you are more than able to make an A in the class. He is always available for questions and will even come and ask you if there is anything you need. Be prepared to make a life-long friend when you leave.
Anatomy is difficult in general, so it isn't the easiest class but Steve does his best to make sure you really learn the material and enjoy doing it! Tests can be difficult so study a ton and take advantage of all the models/cadavers during lab time. Overall hard class (especially during corona) but really fun and caring professor.
Great professor! Really cares about his students and wants you to do well.
This is by no means an easy class, yet if you put in the effort you will succeed. Steve is always willing to help and genuinely cares about his students.
This class IS HARD. Professor Smith is a great teacher and is a very caring person. This class is mostly self taught, but he and his TA's are always there to help you. The tests are hard, but that is just how anatomy is. Do not procrastinate and be proactive in studying. If I can get an A, so can you.
In this course I was able to learn Human Anatomy hands on. Professor Smith was the best professor I have ever had in my college experience. He prepares his medical or nursing students very well for the future careers. To put it in perspective, you will not leave his course without the knowledge needed if you put in the work that he provides you wit
Steve is hands down the best professor I have ever had. This is a class where you HAVE to pay attention and learn because it is a very difficult class. Thankfully, Steve is so clear about what to expect on the tests and exactly how it will be given. You can tell he loves his job and loves his students. I would 110% take his class again.
Steve Smith is the best professor I have had at UCO. He genuinely cares for his students and wants you to succeed. Human Anatomy is a hard class but he tries to make it as easy as he can. Not going to lie, the tests are HARD but he also offers tutoring.
Steve was one of those professors who did not command respect, he was very level with us but also told the truth. Sadly the class was cut short because of the COVID-19 pandemic but I will be returning when I can to take the full in person class!!
Dr. Smith is a funny, amazing, and knowledgable professor who cares about his students learning. He knows how to make a joke out of you walking in late or leaving. Great guy to go kick it with during his office hours. If you don't study you won't pass.
Great professor
Steve is one of the most down to earth professors at UCO. The class in general is based up to your own performance. Steve lectures at the beginning of each unit (5 units) for about an hour. The class periods between then and the exam you are on your own to study the models and cadavers. Definitely ask questions because he has about 10 TA's lol
I took Steve for Anatomy. Steve is an amazing professor. The exams are tough if you don't prepare and show up for labs. But if you do your part, he will do his. He is very clear on what will be on the exam, and what to focus on when studying. He is like a dad. He will tell you like it is, but he will also look out for you. He wants you to succeed.
Steve is one of the best professors I've had at UCO. He cares about each student and only wants the best for everyone. Although the class itself can be tough, Steve does everything to make sure you understand the criteria for the exams. He is the best professor for this class!!
Steve (as he likes us to call him) is an incredible and passionate professor! He really knows his stuff, and he wants you to know him. The tests are heavy, but they are totally doable! You need to be in class, but you'll want to be! He only lectures because he has to. Even if you have no background in anatomy at all, you can get an A with effort!
This class is one of the more difficult ones that I have ever taken. However, I would highly recommend taking Steve. He really helps you learn the information and not just memorize it.
Steve is one of those rare professors that truly cares about your success beyond school. Great instructor for every type of learner. During COVID-19 he was accessible and worked hard to help us. Go to class, read the textbook, and use the models. The tests are tough, quizzes each week, but no homework. Attendance isn't required, but you need to go.
I recommend taking Steve for Anatomy because he really shows that he cares for his students. Every time, he will come in with a smile and a good attitude. He cares and wants us to learn. The atmosphere in the class is very chill and relaxed. If there is something you aren't sure of he'll go over it and make sure you don't leave with any doubts!
He's a great professor and is always willing to help in anyway he can. I would definitely recommended taking him for Human Anatomy. It can be a hard class, but he makes it easy to understand.
Definitely would take Steve Smith again! It being a completely flipped year, due to covid, he did an amazing job at getting us all the material that was actually necessary. But due to covid you are also going to have to do A LOT of work outside of class, since the time in the room is cut in half, to earn a good grade.
Professor Smith is my favorite professor! He is so passionate about what he does and truly cares about his students. I have learned more in his class than any other class I have taken. I highly recommend taking him for anatomy, he explains things and makes it very easy to understand. There is a lot to learn in his class but he makes it enjoyable!
I would definitely take professor Smith again! He offers four tests with 10 quizzes throughout the semester. The tests are not bad, because he hands out a list and study guide that guarantees what will be on the test! This class is only hard if you do not study the material that is given.
If you want to pass you have to ask questions bc he won't teach. U show up just to stare at things & memorize them. He'll tell you not to & to "learn" the material instead, but there is too much, you won't have time. Memorize everything. Even if u ask him to review the cadaver he will have a TA do it so hope you get a good 1, he gives extra credit
Steve is a great guy. He knows what hes doing and always tries to be personable with everyone. He is always cracking jokes and telling stories. Im so glad that I got to have him as my teacher, he truly is the best!!
Very reasonable and gives extra credit
Genuinely cares about you and your grades. Will go the extra step to make sure you are on the right track to pass his class. Gives you all the material you need to succeed and did a very good job at adjusting his class during COVID restrictions. Great option for Anatomy!!
Honestly, he is one of the most amazing anatomy professors that you could ever get who is on top of things. Never be hesitant to ask him questions. WHENEVER ITS CADAVER TIME, ITS CADAVER TIME!! Always be prepared and listen and its a breeze.
This class is fairly difficult. The only problem I had with this class is it is self taught. You will have to find all the information yourself. Occasionally there are lecture days but very rarely and there is tutoring every Friday, but besides that you will have to find everything yourself in class.
Honestly, anatomy is a hard subject to teach but Steve helped in any way he could! The tests are not that hard but if you don't take advantage to study the cadavers when they are out, it will definitely be hard to pass this class. I recommend taking his class! He makes the class more enjoyable and fun to learn!
Steve Smith is a great professor for Anatomy. I would recommend taking him. All of his tests have a study guide and you can text him if you have any questions. I loved his tutor sessions and his TAs are super helpful as well. Make sure you study beforehand and do not procrastinate. If you study well, you should do well!!
Professor Smith was a great Anatomy professor! As long as you study hard in this class you should be okay
The best way to learn anatomy is by showing up to the labs and putting in the work. The tests are hard only because it is not multiple-choice, and he does not give you a world bank. You must know the body parts from memory. He held open labs every Friday for all his other classes. Do not take this class on a heavy load.
Give the effort in this class and value the time when cadavers are out as much as possible. If you put in the work and really try to learn in this class, you will do just fine. The biggest tip I can give is repetition.
Steve is a great professor and his TAs are outstanding, get ready to study because it is a lot of material, but nothing no one can't get down! Spend lots of time looking at the cadaver and be efficient with your time. This class is a great environment and steve likes to crack jokes a lot so enjoy it because not all of the professors are like that:)
Steve Smith made anatomy easy to learn.
One of the best professor I've had so far! Anatomy can't really be taught but he tries his best to help in any way, my biggest tip is to show up to class and look at the cadaver as much as you can . Professor Steve is very understanding so if you have an issue don't hesitate to talk to him! Really recommend taking him for anatomy!
Human Anatomy is definitely a class you want to study and pay attention in. Professor Steve is awesome and hes funny. He makes the class fun and helps you with any questions you have. This class is definitely tough but just like any class you have to buckle down and study. I would recommend professor Steve because he definitely helps.
Mr. Smith since day 1 was very welcoming and available to his students. Even when class was moved to Zoom because of weather he made sure to help his students in any way. When asking questions in class or email he was very good about responding and gave clear and caring feedback. I really appreciate the thought he puts into every class.
Mr. Smith is one the best professors Ive had so far! You can tell he loves what he does and loves helping his students even more. The only grades for the class are the quizzes and tests so be prepared to work hard for your grades but this is class 100% worth and I would gladly take it again.
Professor Smith was amazing! This class is for sure a tough one, but he made this class way more enjoyable than I expected. You have to put in the work to do well, but he truly does care about your success and wants everyone to do well. The whole class is just quizzes and tests so there is no homework, only studying. I highly recommend Smith!
Steve has been one of my favorite professors for all of college. No homework in this class just 4 tests, 10 quizzes, and lots of studying. It is crucial to show up because learning is hands on in this class. He explains things super well and cares about the student's success. Overall, 10/10 experience and would take this class again.
Professor Steve is one of my favorite professors here at UCO. He makes class really enjoyable. There is no homework for this class, just 4 exams and 10 quizzes. He cares about your success and is easily accessible outside of class. Anatomy is already a hard subject, but as long as you show up and study you can definitely pass this class!
Dr. Smith is the coolest professor I have had in college so far. The class is not lecture-heavy. It is mostly lab n he makes sure that you leave with a good understanding of each thing on the checklist. U just hv to work hard and ask him questions for clarification. Study well for the exams, label the models as soon as they're avb and you'll b fine
Professor Smith is a good teacher he teaches practical things that you will use in the field. He makes the class interesting and helps breakdown complicated things to manageable bite size. Take them you won't regret it.
Amazing professor! Definitely recommend taking him. Just make sure to attend labs. They help with exams.
He's a good professor but he makes you work for it. Tests are very important in his class
He is a great professor and very understanding. He is very friendly and is willing to help. As with an anatomy class, make sure to study and don't waste your class time.
He was a really good proffesor. I learned a lot and Id take him again if i could.
Professor Smith is awesome! He's super funny, humble, and patient. He's willing to answer any questions and clearly lays out what exams look like, so you're prepared ahead of time. He knows his stuff and wants to help you succeed. Definitely recommend taking his class!
I took his summer anatomy course and would definitely recommend it!
Steve is an amazing and hilarious professor. He makes learning very fun but you will not pass if you do not study outside of class/lab time.
Interesting class, fair teacher.
Professor Smith is extremely caring and loves to teach! He makes class enjoyable and will answer any questions you have. He is always in his office hours and will make time for you at any time of day. Teaches hard material but he is sure to elaborate on things so that they make sense. Highly recommend him for any class!
Professor Smith cares about his students and knows his stuff! You need to go to class so you can study cadavers. The TA's were amazing and very helpful too.
By far my favorite professor and class at UCO so far. Steve is the best and really makes class interesting. Coming to class for lab time is really important and open lab really helps as well. Learn everything really well in the lab and you hardly have to study outside of class.
This class was by far one of my favorite classes. We had cadavers and got to actually see human structures instead of just looking at textbooks. With that being said it is a really hard class because all the lab test are fill in the blank and the TA's make the lecture exams so never knew what was going to be thrown on it. Study and you'll pass!
Always answers questions respectfully. Offers additional opportunities outside of class time for students in need of extra study time in the cadaver lab.
We had cadavers and got to see human structures. With that being said it is a really hard class because all the lab test are fill in the blank and the TA's make the lecture exams. Study!!
This is a difficult class but Steve is always fair and does his best to help his students
Hes a great professor. Im really struggling in the class though, not his fault. If you go to class, study the whole class time AND outside of class, youll pass.
I would definitely recommend taking anatomy with steven. he's an amazing professor. usually teaches lectures at the beginning of every unit and then the rest of the classes is just your learning the models and cadavers on your own and of course having all the question you have as many times as you want. he always answers any questions you may have
I took his Human Anatomy course and it is super fun! It's one of the hardest classes I have ever taken and it's not easy to get through but it is interesting. The main grades in the class are test and they are not easy. Overall the class is fair.
Steve did a great job of narrowing down the Anatomy material, so we knew what to focus on. Overlap between lecture time, lab time, and time spent with models or on free study really helped me to understand the material. I actually learned instead of just memorized. It is easy to do well in this class if you show up and take good notes.
Awesome class.
Really good. I enjoyed the class. It is kinda hard, but if you use your class time properly you will be fine
He gives you everything you need. This class is a tough one so you have to spend a quality time with the cadaver. There is 4 lab exams and 2 lecture exam. There a few mini assignments but they are not hard at all.
class is not too bad if you show up every day. Lecture exams are tough so be prepared to study for those. overall steve is a great professor and he makes the class as easy as he can.
This class is difficult, but if you really put in the work you'll do fine. Lecture exams are a little more difficult than the lab exams, but there are only 2 lecture exams. Overall Steve is a great person and a great professor and I have really enjoyed taking his class!
Very good at what he does. Would definitely recommend.
Professor Smith has been my favorite professor through my whole college experience! He is very passionate about teaching the material in a way that actually lets you learn it instead of memorizing it. I highly recommend professor Smith!
I love Steve! He's super great and chill, easy to talk to in and out of class, but man, be prepared for those exams. You may think you'll be okay with skipping a lab or two before exam, but trust me, you aren't. There's no harm in going over and over the same material even a hundred times because I'll guarantee you will still miss something.
I took Steve's Human Anatomy night class (2-3 hours), he split the times up 1-hour studying in the cadaver lab, 1-hour lecture, and 1-hour model lab (optional). We had 4 lab exams and 2 lecture exams. There are 10 quizzes you take online, but they are open book/ note. NOTE: to be successful in this class you need to attend all cadaver labs.
Professor Smith is an AMAZING teacher. He is always there for his student and will help with any questions you have without making you feel dumb. He cares about his students and wants nothing but to help them succeed!
Professor Smith is an amazing teacher. He is always there to help with any question you have without feeling you dumb. I would recommend taking his class.
Great teacher but get ready to spend a lot of time studying in and outside the lab.
This class is not a class you can just show and not participate. Find a friend(s) to review the body and use the quiz lets to practice outside of class. Also go to open labs as many times as you can youll pass. Also DONT skip the lecture portion of the class because that is the only place youll get info for the lecture exams!!!!
This class is an overall hard class especially if your brain isnt science based. Smith does lecture and also go to lab, make sure you ask him whatever questions you have. The lecture exams were very hard. If you keep your head in the books/notes youll be good.
Anatomy is a class that can't really be taught, but Smith and his TA's were very helpful with any questions I had. They never made me feel dumb and they want you to do well. As long as you look at the cadavers, models, and study after class, you will do well.
Very nice and caring professor but a hard class for sure. Very hard.
Steve sets clear expectations from the start, and most of the lecture time is spent learning anatomy through observation. There is very little lecture during the class meeting times, however all information is readily available on the class website. Steve is always available to answer questions in class as well as his teaching aides.
Steve was awesome. He allows us to work on our own while still throwing in a couple of lectures. He really wants you to succeed. Class is easy if you stay on track and study.
Steve is a great professor! The main focus of this class are the tests over each section. Steve provides multiple resources for the class that are very helpful. His input is always very inciteful. My class had great TA's who were all very kind and provided great help. Steve really cares about his students. I would definitely take this class again!
Steve is a great professor. He wants everyone to succeed and he tries to give you the best tips to do so. He teaches this class the exact same way every semester and he's taught it for many years. Be prepared to study a lot. Use the quizlet he suggests. Attendance is not mandatory but you for sure will do worse if you miss class. Study study study!
If you want the most out of the class engage in labs and ask questions. Professor and his TAs gladly help.
Professor Smith was one of my favorite professors I've ever had. He was always ready to help and assist you at all times of the day. It is a difficult class, tests are your only grade, but if you study hard, it's not too hard to pass.
Professor Smith is the best anatomy professor you could possibly take.
Steve is great and wants his students to succeed. His class is definitely difficult and will require a lot of studying, but you will leave with a strong knowledge of anatomy. I advise that you don't miss a lot of class time because that is where you will learn the most! I would recommend taking his class.
Mr. Smith is such a great teacher! His class is going to take up your time and you definitely have to put in the work to get the grade you want. Mr. Smith is very interactive in class and ready to help you understand the material and welcomes questions. Overall he is so knowledgeable and just a great resource to have while you learn Anatomy.
First class I haven't been scared to ask questions in. Make sure you show up, attendance isn't mandatory but if you want to learn and pass you need to be there for the labs. There are open note quizzes that take place once a week, which is an easy 10 points. 10/10 recommend this class with this professor :)
There is not much lecture in the class and more of studying cadavers and models. It may seem like you are learning it on your own, but he knows his stuff so don't be afraid to ask! I bought textbooks and never used them, but it may help depending on your preference in study material
Steve is excellent at explaining the material. He understands that Anatomy is a very complex subject and wants everyone to understand it the way he does. Take advantage of the time you have in class as it will only benefit you!!! If you are not a textbook type of learner, don't get one. Steve has plenty of study material and models to go off of.
Great guy, 10/10, highly recommended
Professor Smith is very approachable. His main gold in the class is to help you succeed in anyway that you can.
Steve is such a wonderful professor he explains well and always makes the course easy. he is so cheerful and funny and i just wish i could turn back time and take this course from the beginning with him, he's always punctual and is great at explaining the materials, I highly recommend taking the course with him!!!!!
Steve is a fantastic anatomy teacher, and he makes a rather intensive subject straightforward and easy to learn. Each unit starts off with a lecture that provides a fantastic jump start for learning the material, and if you go to each class and use all of your time with the cadavers and models, you will learn a lot and should do well on the tests.
Mr. Smith genuinely cares about his students and delivers one of the best lectures I've ever heard. You do have to study hard for the exams, know the cadavers, and if you think you're prepared then study more!
He tries to help his students in any way that he can. You can tell that he truly cares about us learning and understanding the criteria in this class.
There are four units and he only lectures ONE night per unit. This will be the only time he teaches to the whole class. After the one lecture you spend time in the lab looking at models, memorizing and figuring out what things are on your own. He is super nice and funny but this is a tough class especially if you haven't taken an anatamony course.
I loved having Professor Smith! He made a difficult class as simple as he possibly could. No BS. Kept things fun and if you take advantage of your time in class, you should do fine. He wants you to succeed, and helps you along the way.
Attendance isn't mandatory, but come to class to look at models and cadavers. The more time you put in during class learning those things the better you will do on the exam. Also, do not be afraid to reach out and talk to him about any questions. He is very easy-going and happy to help. Easy class as long as you put in the work.
Steve Smith is an excellent professor who is passionate about the work he does and you can tell by the way he seems genuinely excited talking about anatomy. Most points come from quizzes and tests and there is very little lecturing which, for some, can seem daunting. The class will help you learn how to study and teach you time management in class.
He truly cares about his students and tries to do anything he can to make sure that we really understand and learn the material.
This professor was super fun and funny, but the tests are super difficult. You cant just show up and think you can pass. It takes hours of studying each night.
He was super nice. But tests were extremely difficult. Not many lectures but it is a teach yourself class
Professor Smith is one of the most amazing professors I have ever had. He took the time to make sure I understood the material. I loved that he would take the time and walked around in case we need help. you do have to put in the work for this class. Would highly recommend Professor Smith!
Professor Smith is amazing is truly amazing. He really cares about his student's success and provides more than enough extra credit. Most of the class time is spent studying models and cadavers. However, that time alone is not enough. you with have to put the work in but Professor smith provides a great envenomed for learning!
Great professor, definitely would recommend! Be ready to put in the work for Anatomy though. You must show up to class to learn the material. Your performance in this class all depends on you.
Steve is an amazing professor and I thoroughly enjoyed his class this semester. Human anatomy is challenging, but Steve makes the class fun and educational. Be prepared to study everyday and attend every class to get the best grade possible.
Professor Smith genuinely cares about his students and their ambitions and careers. I had him for human anatomy and he made the class fun, interactive, and rewarding. You put in what you get out of this class. It is definitely hands-on and study heavy. Professor Smith makes it a point to connect with his students and it makes all the difference.
Mr. Smith was a great anatomy professor! Anatomy is a challenging course, but he always is willing to help you out! You definitely need to put a lot of effort in this class to receive a good grade. The online quizzes can be tedious, but ultimately it is not that bad. He truly prepares you for anatomy that will be taken in professional schools!
FAVORITE PROFESSOR!! The course is very self study based, but during the beginning of each unit Steve will do lectures. He made it very comfortable for you to ask questions and he responds to you quick outside of class too! Overall loved this class and would definitely recommend if you were to take anatomy! Course includes 10 quizzes and 4 exams.
Dr. Smith's Human Anatomy course was not easy. Once the effort is put in, you will learn a lot, however. There are less than five lectures throughout the entire semester, so he leaves it up to you how much you want to learn. Dr. Smith is readily available for questions and demonstrates he truly cares about his students.
By far my favorite Professor!! Steve is an excellent professor and I thoroughly enjoyed his class this semester. However, human anatomy is very challenging, but Steve makes the class fun and educational. I recommend studying as much as possible; everything will be worth it.
great professor, he cares how you do in the class and is always there to help. I would take again! Just be prepared to study
Steve is a fantastic professor! Human anatomy is tough and you must study to get the grades you want! His class is set up more like independent study with partners, he only lectures at the beginning of each unit. He posts TONS of helpful information online and is always quick to help/answer any questions you may have! I would 100% recommend him!
Favorite professor so far. The class is mostly on you to study on your own and discover how you study best. Steve encourages his students to experiment with study techniques to learn what works best for the individual. However be prepared to work for your grade. Very caring and quick to help. 10/10 would take again for the experience.
Steve is very engaged with his students. The class is fun but very self sufficient. Encourages students to experiment with study methods to find what works best for them. Be prepared to work for your grade. Steve is my favorite professor so far because he shows he cares for his students and enjoys teaching.10/10 would take again for the experience.
Pr. Steve is very professional at what he does and at the same time he is an enjoyable person. He makes it very clear from the beginning to change your way of studying if you don't get desirable results on the tests. He gives many ideas on different ways to study including Quizlet which I found very helpful. Overall the best professor.
The class itself is quite difficult, just by the nature of attempting to learn the whole body. That aside, Steve is very helpful and if you need help he will help you thoroughly. He doesn't lecture a lot but when he does it's the best thing ever.
Mr Smith is by far one of my favorite professors !!! Anatomy can be challenging but Mr Smith makes sure you understand the material rather than just memorizing it and this prepares students for professional schools. His exams are not too bad and he really works with his students to make sure they get the grade they want!
The only reason why attendance is necessary for this class is because that is how you are able to learn all the material. Professor Smith is a great teacher that really tries to give helpful tips and tricks. He is constantly striving for students to succeed. I have never met a professor that is as easy to talk to as Professor Smith.
The class is definitely a tough class so I would definitely put in the time to sit and learn the material. You do have TAs who will really help you and Professor Smith really does the best to help you out. Make sure ask a lot of questions.
Professor Smith cares about his students and is passionate about Anatomy! He is not lecture heavy at all which can be challenging for some students, however between him and 2 TAs, there is never a question you cannot get answered.
Steve is one of my favorite professors I've had! He lectures at the beginning of each unit and from there, it's up to you to self study for the exams. He'll help you in anyway without making you feel dumb for asking. If you don't understand, watch vids on yt! Exams are difficult w varying questions.
Steve is a great professor. Attending class is vital for this course and it takes a lot of hard work and attention. Steve cares about his students and is very passionate about education.
He is an amazing professor! Answers any questions you have and is happy to do so. He tries to help you achieve the grade you want.
This class is hard and a lot of work. Participation matters so I recommend showing up to class and get to know the models and cadavers. His handouts are straight forward as well and usually show up on the multiple choice portion of the exam. This class is mostly self-taught but he is always there to help you understand.
AWESOME Professor!! Truly cares about you as a student and person. You will have to study, but you get all class time to do so. Highly recommend taking Steve!!
A lot of memorization in this class. Study wisely. A lot of models and a long list of things to learn for each unit exam. Professor Smith is great.
Uses his time efficiently, will lecture at the beginning of a new topic the rest of class times are your own study time. He walks around a lot in case you need any help.
This class was hard, but if you put the effort in, you can get a good grade. I recommend showing up to class and get to know the models and cadavers. His handouts are straight forward and usually show up on the multiple choice portion of the exam. This class is mostly self-taught but he is always there to help you as well as a few TAs.
Steve is a great professor and will explain something more in-depth if you need him to. His exams are hard but if you take time out of class to study you will be fine!
This is the best Anatomy teacher! He is super nice and helpful if you have any questions. Make sure you study and come to class so you can study the cadavers and models. You have to put in the time to study to be successful in the class!
Dr. Smith is an amazing professor to take for Human Anatomy. He is extremely helpful and wants his students to pass. Attendance is not mandatory, but missing even one day can hold you back a lot in this class. I definitely recommend him.
Steve was a great teacher himself. It was just a lot of memorization and cadaver work they smell awful, but you got to look at them to pass the exams. I would say try to not skip because every day is crucial to your tests. He answered all of your questions and tries to be as helpful as possible.
Dr. Smith was a great teacher. Make sure to study well and be ready to come to class each day. This class is all about memorization. A great anatomy professor.
Mr. Smith is an excellent professor! He is caring, helpful, and efficient. When I had a concern or a question, he was able to help me understand clearly and give me answers right away. Make sure to come to class and be ready to learn. His exams are easy when you use your study time wisely during class and outside of class.
Had him for Human Anatomy. He has a relaxed teaching style, and most class time is self-guided study during which he makes himself available for questions. If you spend at least three hours in class each week studying the models and cadavers, you will do great.
Professor Smith is great! I took him for Human Anatomy, and I really enjoyed it! The class can be difficult at times, since there is a lot of memorizations, but it is definitely doable. It was very interesting to have the cadavers to help us learn areas of the body better. If you go to class and put time in to study outside of class, it's not bad.
Professor Smith is a great professor! Anatomy is not an easy subject but he makes it bearable and is always there if you have any questions. If you come to class and work with the models you will do good! There are also open lab times that I think are a great way to get extra help if needed. I would recommend him to anyone!
Nice person. Would definitely get a coffee with him. BUT isn't very proactive in teaching unless you ask. Cadavers were a pain until there was finally a key well into the semester. (Before that was guessing at structures and relying heavily on the TAs and other students.) Great if you are a self teacher because there might as well not be a teacher.
Professor Smith is amazing. Anatomy is a hard class, but he makes it interesting. The class is test heavy with several quizzes and 4 exams. There are many resources to help you study, but you need to study a decent amount outside of class. Overall he is funny, chill, and respected. I would definitely take him again.
You need to come to class since it is a lot of hands-on learning. Anatomy is hard and will be a lot of studying but it is do able if you apply yourself.
Anatomy is hard and a lot of studying. Come to class since it is a lot of hands-on learning. Professor Smith is super nice and makes it easy to learn
Anatomy is very hard but it is doable, there will be a lot of studying and self teaching. He gives you an outline of the test but it is up to you to use it and figure out how to study for the tests.
Anatomy is very difficult and you have to come to class to learn. Participation is key. Look at the models and study the cadavers well and you should do fine. Smith will help you when you need it and he is very kind. He is a very good professor and knows the material. He tries his best to help you get the best grade in the class you can!
Recommend this teacher 100%. Be prepared to study a lot outside of class
Professor Smith was a great professor for anatomy! He will answer any questions that you have and try to help you understand. The class requires a lot of studying outside of class time, but it is doable if you set aside time to study. There was only exams and quizzes in this course, no homework. I would take Professor Smith again, he is so funny.
This professor is a great at what he does. He is very adaptable with students in how each one learns and will work with students in any way in order for them to understand the material.
I enjoyed this course and learned so much about the human body. This class was challenging, but interesting. Although attendance is not mandatory, you need to attend most of the time to ensure you are prepared for the exam. You will also need to spend time outside of class preparing for the exams. His lectures are interesting!

Steve is probably the most difficult out of the anatomy professors at UCO. However, I would take his class again in a heartbeat. He does short lectures at the start of each unit and they really help you make sense of all the components. He often asks for the harder items on the checklists, but if you focus on those when you study, you'll do well!
If you have the opportunity, take Steve's class. He really pushes his students to do their best in his class. The class itself is hard, and very self taught/study oriented. He makes it fun and is super personable. If you take this class, buy the "Coloring Book", and study every day. Look at models and spend half the class at the cadaver.
Overall the class is good, beware its mostly self taught! It is lecture & lab however very few lectures. Going to class will benefit you in the long run! Very encouraging on doing your best. Make sure you study study study!
This was one of the most challenging but rewarding classes I've ever taken. For this class; it's crucial that you spend time with the models and the cadavers during your lab period. At home; spend time labeling the diagrams multiple times. Dr. Smith really does show how much he cares for his students. If you show up and work hard; you'll be fine.
This is one of the most fair classes I've taken; meaning the score you get will reflect your effort. What really helped me was spending time with the models (and labeling the diagrams at home) before looking at the cadavers. Dr. Smith always added some extra credit to his exams and classes, showing he cares for his students.
This class is definitely difficult but as long as you go to class and show you want to learn Steve will help you. You will have 4 test and 10 quizes throughout the semester that add to a total of 500 points for the semester. So going to class and preparing for test is mandatory to do good in the class. Steve is great and I would recommend taking!
Mr. Smith was very kind and helpful whenever I had a question. I really enjoyed his class.
Make use of class time. Ask lots of questions! 4 tests, 100 points each plus quizzes. Some extra credit.
Dr. Smith is a tough but great professor. He lectures for the first 2-3 days of the unit, then the remaining classes are for you to study for the exam. You do not have to come to every class, but your grade will reflect it if you don't. Study HARD, especially outside of class. This is a very hard class but he wants you to succeed.

He is very professional when answering the question.
He is a kind professor but, it is all self-study so it is a lot of memorization.
very laid back prof, tests are hard but significantly easier when you study hard!! be sure to spend time studying the cadavers for the exams!!
There's 4 units, and he lectures for the first 1 or 2 days at the beginning of each unit. Attendance isn't mandatory, but you will see that you absolutely want to be in class to study as much as you can. This is pretty much a self-taught course, so if you're used to a professor teaching you every thing, I wouldn't recommend. Great prof! Cool class.
He was great, I just wish he would help us more on cadavers. Mostly just exams and ten point quizzes. Very kind and caring person.
Steve was amazing and really helped us learn the material and gave plenty of chances to earn some extra points.Thank goodness for this class!
He is a nice guy but not the best teacher. Very test heavy class and he only lectures once in the beginning of each section but after that you are on your own for the rest of the class. Only other thing he offers other than exams are quizzes which are not worth much compared to exams, so if you fail an exam it's hard to come back.
Make sure to study cadavers as much as you can! Do not be afraid to ask him questions at all because he is there to help his students out. This course is test heavy so make sure not to put this class on the back burner at all.
I have taken many science classes in my educational career, and I have never learned more about the body, as we're supposed to for our major, than this class. Steve isn't just a professor who wants you to pass his class, so he looks good as a professor. He's the kind of professor who wants you to pass because he wants you to succeed in life.
Professor Smith is passionate about teaching anatomy. He is caring and always there to answer any questions. The class is difficult as expected. It is also exam heavy so it can be hard to recover from a bad grade. Be prepared to study in and out of class and not just memorize the information. Lots of time is given to study during class each unit!
Very test heavy professor
Steve is very committed to his students and is there to answer any questions you have. The class is very test heavy and it is important that you study in and outside of class if you want a good grade. There is not much lecture time, so most of the course you are just studying and teaching yourself, but Steve is always there to help.
Professor Steve is a great teacher, but the course is challenging. Attend all classes, take notes, and focus on the checklists. Don't hesitate to ask questions, as Steve is always willing to help. Highly recommend taking his class.
The class is hard and the entire course rests on just tests and quizes, but they are possible and the class is enjoyable. You will learn a lot in a little time, but the professor makes the class amazing. Also, word of advice, NEVER chose the 100 question test with the word bank. It is not worth it; stick to the 50 question tests.
Steve is making a challenging class way easier.
This was a very difficult class due to the fact that tests and quizzes are the only true grades. A lot of the success I had in the course was based on my own studying and learning in class time, with the material needed only supplied not often explained in depth. The professor was always open to help but things were often still quite overwhelming.
Class is heavily dependent on out of class studying. Not many grades to depend on. Smith was good at helping when needed.
The work load is a lot. You have to study a lot to be successful in this course.
He is very helpful when asked questions and tries to keep the class engaged during lectures. The class is very test heavy and requires a lot of out of class studying. Would recommend him over Cleveland.
He is very good at what he does!
Good teacher and easy to listen to. The class was very independent. Very much learn on your own and go at your own pace.
You have to memorize how to spell the location and function of hundreds of vocab terms, lots of class time studying.
Great professor. Did a great job at keeping things interesting and easy to pay attention to. Studying is a must to be successful though.
Professor Steve made it very clear on the first day of class that Human Anatomy is NOT easy. You will need to put the work in to earn a good grade. He does his best to help out his students and I love that he provides bonuses on exams.
Professor Smith is a great professor and I highly recommend him for anatomy. Attendance isn't counted, however you can't miss a day and expect to be fine. You need all the in class time you can get. He gives very good feedback and always answers questions. It is clear that he knows what he's doing. He also offers bonus points on exams.
Smith was not coherent during lectures and was indecisive about what would be included in quizzes or exams. Often material he did not cover was included on the quizzes.
This is a difficult class to take, but Steve is always willing to help if you need it!
Most of our class time was used as an independent self study, but it is recommended to partner up with somebody. Steve and the TAs are ready to help at any moment whether if it is with the cadavers or models. Steve himself is very chill and isn't that strict but the tests can be difficult if you don't go to class everyday to study.
Very nice professor and makes funny jokes to lighten the environment. Always ready to answer questions and gives good lectures. Class is very test-heavy, so always study outside of class time. Would take this class again.
One of my favorite professors, dont take it lightly whenever he says to study out of class. Makes a hard class fun!
Steve's anatomy class is tough, but he's super helpful. Gotta put in the work, but using UnstuckStudy AI with the free textbook really helped me ace the tricky exams. Glad I stuck with it!
I highly recommend Steve for anatomy! He will tell you this on day one, but he wants you to succeed and leave his class knowledgeable. He is very respectful towards students and genuinely cares about them. Anatomy is going to be difficult, but if you show up to class, put forth the effort, and apply yourself, he won't let you fail.
Steve was a great professor and the TA's helped me so much with in class learning. this is not an easy course but as long as you put in the work and do fall behind and go to all the classes you should be fine!! ask questions that's what all the TA's are there for!! I would recommend Steve you will not leave his class not knowing what you are doing!
Both the professor and TAs were very helpful when I had questions and needed help with the cadavers/ models and explains topics in a way you understand. Make sure to focus on the models and cadavers during class time, while focusing on the readings outside of class. His tests are pretty straightforward and always offers extra credit for each exam.
Steve is very knowledgeable and wants his students to succeed. The TAs are a great resource as well, because it can be overwhelming at times. You have to put in the work because it's not an easy class, but Steve knows the "why" instead of the memorization behind it. I strongly recommend Steve!! He knows the field and prepares you for it very well.
Steve is a fantastic professor who intently cares about his students learning—not just memorizing—the material. He has several TAs in class that also help tremendously. All lectures are available via D2L if he doesn't lecture on a particular section, and he provides specific guidelines on the tests a week prior. If you take Anatomy, take Steve.
Steve is a great professor for anatomy. I would strongly encourage anyone that is taking this course to take him. He even says himself if you show up to class he will not let you fail. His TA's are great and extremely helpful. You are only graded on tests and quizzes so you HAVE TO STUDY if you want to do well!
I took anatomy with him and would take him again! Grades are based on quizzes and exams, so studying is essential. He cares about students and doesn't treat you differently if you get a bad grade. The TAs were knowledgeable and helpful. The class requires independent study—take it with a friend to study together. Highly recommend!
He is great. 10/10. Take his class
Steve is a really great professor but he wants you to learn. You have to take the time to study and learn the stuff in class but he does push you to learn. He is there ever step of the way to help with any questions that you have.
He is excellent!! get ready to study outside of the class too.
He is very understanding and chill. To succeed in the class you just need to make sure you actually study and use all the study tools he provides for you.
Awesome professor. This class is hard but if you put in the effort, you will pass. A lot of materials to learn/memorize and you need to stay on top of it or get ahead. Don't come to class? You won't pass.
He's a very funny man that is very passionate about what he does and that's a big reason why this class was so enjoyable. It's definitely a lot of work but it's super interesting and I recommend asking a lot of questions.
Steve is a great professor for anatomy. I would strongly encourage anyone that is taking this course to take him. His TA's are great and extremely helpful. You are only graded on tests and quizzes so you HAVE TO STUDY if you want to do well!
He is very knowledgeable and knows so much about anatomy and he genuinely wants the students to well and pass the class. However, the class is very test heavy and the majority of your grade comes from 4 tests. The material is hard and is a lot of memorization but he gives you plenty of time and help to learn the material.
This class isn't easy because the sheer volume of information presented. If you don't come to class don't study, you definitely will not do well. That being said, Steve is great. He wants his students to succeed. He presents the information in a way that it is easy to digest but once again, you will have to study outside of class to pass.
I am an international student, so my first language is not english that is the reason i was lacking in pronunciation and remembering words but he was very helpful and patience with me and helped go through the lab and helped me throughout
Professor Smith was very helpful! It is apparent he wants his students to succeed. He always made himself available for any questions and never hesitates to answer them. He puts as much effort into you as you do into his class. If you want to succeed and take the time/effort to do so he makes succeeding obtainable for you!
Steve is a great teacher one of my favorite teachers in UCO. He makes studying fun and he has really good TA's that help with the labs as well. He's quick to answer any questions you have as well. I recommend everyone to take him for Anatomy
Steve was great and funny. You will teach yourself everything by looking at cadavers and models. He will be willing to help whenever needed.
I would recommend Professor Smith if you are wanting to actually learn things during lectures and if you want to learn them your own way. This being said, this course definitely requires you to do 90% of it your own way.
I really liked Steve, he's a great professor. It's really on me for not studying as much but with the cadavers and the help from the TAs the experience is really fun and inviting when it comes to such a scary subject
Steve was a great professor, he cares about his students. You have to memorize a lot but he helps students apply the curriculum well. Steve's class will help you in your future field.
This class was so fun. Steve and his TA's were always so helpful and wanted us to do well. I feel like I learned a lot.
Steve smith has easily been one of my favorite professors, easy to work with, kind, and truly cares about his students. Anatomy is a tough subject but he makes it fun to learn and is always helping his students with answering any questions. Definitely take anatomy with Steve smith if you can!
Steve is a great professor who cares about having his students pass his class. He gives opportunities for extra points on exams which helps boost your grade up. There is no homework in the class and there is only 4-5 lectures, all the other times you're in class it'll probably be open lab. Your grade relies heavily on exams and quizzes.
Steve is a great professor who truly cares about his students. He encourages active attendance, and your grade does too!! Be sure to study study study, there isnt much lecture and the students do most of their learning independently. My suggestion is to find a study group and USE IT!!
Loved taking his Anatomy course!! Get ready to study but know that you can do it! Steve is super funny and his lectures are so good! He really helps you put things in perspective so that you know how they work!
Steve is an amazing professor! He really engages with the class and gets to know each person. He is willing to explain and help you understand any of the material. He genuinely wants his students to succeed in class. This is a hard class and students do have to put in the work to learn the material in order to do well but Steve is awesome!
Steve is a really nice guy. He is kind, funny, and very helpful. However, his class is test heavy. So prepare to study everyday, and you'll be fine. Super interesting and cool class though! 10/10 would recommend Steve!
There is so much information in this class. You should learn everything needed for your cadaver checklist and the models in the classroom. He is a good teacher. I bought the book but didn't used. He has a couple of books that students can use during class time. Quizes are in person and online. Online quizzes are 50 questions, lock down browser.
He has a laid back teaching method but does comprehensive lectures for major parts of the class. He is able to explain vague or otherwise confusing concepts clearly and gives you the materials you need to succeed in the class.
I took Prof Smith at OSU OKC for anatomy and he was AMAZING!! I swear he could teach this stuff in his sleep and help anybody understand it. He gives out multiple ways to reach him if you ever need help outside of class and is always extremely kind. I wish I could thank him a million times for helping me pass Anatomy!!
steve was good proffessor, he made us anatomy easy but class test are not easy there is a lot of studying required , but he helps understand and push you to study better, but you have to study everyday so that you can keep up with the topics so you dont fall back and get bad grades, all cadever are also hard to study
Steve was an amazing anatomy professor. He made concepts so easy to understand. He also made the classroom environment feel very comfortable. I was never afraid to ask any questions (no matter how dumb). I did not initially think I was going to pass his class, but if you just show up and actually study, you'll be fine. PLEASE TAKE HIS CLASS!!!
This class takes a lot of dedication and hardwork plus memorization, but Steve and the TAs are with you throughout and you learn a lot.
Steve is a great professor, but this class is very difficult. It requires a LOT of studying but if you work hard you'll pass.
He is a good teacher, but it is a difficult class with a lot of information to memorize. He really cares about you knowing the material. Also, he says to get a textbook for online quizzes, but Google works just as well, so don't get a textbook.
Steve is a fantastic professor. He made the classroom a great learning environment and was always willing to help you understand things. If you come to class and put in the effort, you will do great. The TA's are also extremely helpful.
This semester was my second time taking his class. The first time, when i knew i was going to fail the class, Steve made sure help me navigate different options of retaking this class. He was very helpful, kind, and never judgmental. This time in class i have an A. He is such a great teacher!
Steve was a very good professor and id be happy to take one of his classes again. He seemed to genuinely care about students and always encouraged them. The class is very quiz and test heavy which requires lots of studying outside of class.
Professor Smith ensures that students not only receive the information but truly understand it.Professor Smith is approachable, patient, and always willing to clarify concepts when needed. His teaching style is engaging and informative, and he takes the time to check in with the class to ensure everyone is keeping up.
Steve will help you as long as you are willing to give effort. He gave me good study techniques and was a great teacher. If you come to class and use your time wisely you will be fine. Overall Steve was great and I would take him again!
Steve is more than willing to work with his students. He tells you from the first day that this class is a lot of work, but if you put in the effort, you will make a good grade. I have truly never had a better professor at UCO. He truly cares about the students learning the material. Put in the work and you will make a good grade.
Dr. Smith gives one of the best lectures ever!
Tell lots of dad jokes, but he's kind of like the favorite uncle lol. You'll have online quizzes, but those are very simple and exams. A total of 4 exams, just study, and you'll pass.
Steve is a really funny and nice guy! He cares about Anatomy and the way he teaches it. The class is a bit more difficult, I will say....but mainly for me, it was because it was something I was never exposed to before. It will take a lot of studying and memorization, but you've got it!
Seemed very knowledgeable about the questions I had. Class is very study at your own pace in class, but definitely not a hard class as long as you pay attention and actually study the material.
This professor cares deeply about what he does and his students. I could not recommend anyone better to take human anatomy with!
Steve is a great teacher for anatomy overall. He provides his students with all the material they would need for not only his exams, but also helps them prepare for medical/nursing schools in the future. Even if his exams/assignments seem difficult, as long as you go to class and ask him or his TAs questions, you will do well in this class.
I had no issues with the professor; his class was pretty hard but he tried his hardest to make sure we understood everything
Tells good stories. Lots of time given to learn the material
Steve is amazing! For such a difficult subject to learn, he makes it so much fun. He is very personable and will talk to you about anything under the sun. As for the material, I think he teaches it as well as possible. Most of the class is heavy on how long you spend in class with the cadavers and studying out of class. 100% Recommend Steve!!
Few lectures, many days full of studying on your own. Very nice professor, gives many extra credit opportunities. The TA's are incredibly helpful also.
I loved taking anatomy with Steve as my teacher. He and his TAs, Paisli and Josiah, went into great detail to explain things to me in a way that would actually stick in my brain. They used reasoning and analogies to help me memorize the material. They always made me feel comfortable to ask any question. Many extra credit opportunities. Few lectures
Steve and his TA's are amazing. The class is mostly test and quizzes no assignments. Your grade mostly depends on how much time is spent with cadavers and models in class, but as long as you study inside and outside of class you are bound to succeed in this class.
Steve teaches in a way that teaches you not to memorize and regurgitate but to actually understand. He's not going to hand you an A but will make it easy for you if you put the work in to learning it. He's not there looking to fail you, he's there looking to support you and will do so when asked! Highly, highly recommend taking a class with him!
Great professor and the TAs are super helpful. He does well at taking the moment to make sure everyone understands and answers all questions well. Steve is a very nice, caring, and funny person. Be prepared to study a lot on your own and ask the questions when you are in class.
