He gives handouts for each chapter. Fill in the handout, you have the answers for the test. Interesting teacher, easy to approach, can question his answer on tests and get it changed. Easy A if you show up to class. Laid back teacher, and willing to work around problems. Material isn't always intersting, but he does a good job.

He makes the class really intersting and fun. There are daily homework assignments but he will give extra credit on all assignments and they can be turned in late. All his tests are multple choice, and they can be retaken if you get below a C. I never used the book. Just show up to class and take the notes and you will get an A.

I love Walman, I have learned a lot from him and would love to take another class with him as my prof. As long as you review the hand outs and go over key terms in the book, the tests are reasonable in difficulty and homework and attendance are easy points!

Steve Walman's classes are laid back and quite interesting. He usually has a story or two in each of his class sessions to keep his students interested in the topics. He gives students great advice for success every now and again. Overall his teaching is fantastic.

Steve Walman has a wonderful teaching style! I don't think there was one person in my class who didn't like him. He knows his material inside and out and definitely has real life experience. I wish I could take more classes with him!

He is a great professor. He made accounting as easy as possible, and gave you a credit for showing up. Furthermore, his dry sense of humor can be nice. Class usually gets out early so make it your last class! Home work is done during class so it's as easy as possible. Beware though, accounting can be tough material to understand.

How can I explain perfection to you? Well it is this mans class! His lectures give real life advice along with exceptional explanation of the material, an understandable grading system and fair tests. Not to mention he is absolutely hilarious and makes you really enjoy your experience with him. And as a student, you feel cared for and respected.

Great instructor! Basically show up, do the work and you will get a decent grade. However if you skip class much at all you will struggle as the material builds and builds. He has quite a sense of humor too.

Had Walman for organizational behavior. He is AWESOME! Funny and shares a lot of real world stories to make the material applicable and easy to remember. Show up to class, you'll get an A. He passes out outlines for students to fill out for notes and gives a review sheet before every test. Leaves a text book in the library if you dont have your own

I took ACC101 with Walman online. He records lectures while giving notes. EVERYTHING from your notes will be on the tests! Listen to what he has to say, & actually DO your practice work. Don't just skip ahead and take the answers he gives you. His practice work is IDENTICAL to the tests so take the time to practice & pass! (Book was not needed.)

Walman's BUS207 course is a bit more demanding than some of his others. He posts lecture/note videos that you MUST watch if you want a decent grade. I recommend taking all your notes early then spending a week studying your pre-test. They look much like the real one but studying IS required. You will need your book for weekly assignments.

I'm a WMU transfer and the terrible professors at WMU make me long for Walman & Young again (Seriously be warned if you go to WMU after you will be stunned by how incompetent WMU professors are.) Walmans a top notch professor that everyone should take!

I loved Mr. Walman. You only have to get the course packet for his class so DO NOT GET THE BOOK. Every class he has you do sections of the packet and turn them in then you can leave, left class early almost every time. Drawback is that he will leave class for like 30 minutes EVERY CLASS and you won't get class attendance points unless you either turn in the hw or get the code from him to leave. Overall I'd recommend him to anyone, great professor and as long as you don't mind doing the work it's an easy pass.

Explained things well, tests are very close to notes which is nice, he is easy going and uses real life experiences as examples in class to help you gain a better understanding of the material. Homework is very easy and light. Lots of notes... If you go to class and pay attention you will pass.

I really liked him as a texter. He is very easy to talk to and you can redo the test as many times as you need to I'm order to past with at least a C! You can also turn on late homework!

(I can't remember the exact class title I took with him but it was one of the marketing classes.) GREAT professor - GREAT educator - GREAT human being. KVCC has a few of the absolute best professors in Kalamazoo (better than many at WMU I've found) and you should do everything you can to take Walman. I wish I could take him for the WMU courses!

Such a good teacher. He is very helpful and if you have questions you can email him or ask in class or after class. His tests are just like his practice test handouts. You don't need a text book but you need to print all the material from Moodle. I would love to take more classes from him in the future.

I have actually taken almost all the classes he teaches the last few years. He is a great professor in every way. He is knowledge about what he teaches and makes class fun, unlike others at kvcc. Also he makes it easy to pass, but you still learn a lot.

Walman was an awesome professor. I learned some techniques to use in everyday life as well as in my college career. There is absolutely no reason to not succeed in his course, allows late work and test redos. You will enjoy this his class I guarantee it!

He has long lectures but he tries to make them funny and light. He gives a chance for extra credit all the time. Homework every class but very easy.

Walman is a pretty cool guy. His lectures can get a bit boring but overall this class wasnt too bad. All his tests are scantrons and there is minimal homework. The only thing I don't like is that he doesn't post grades on Moodle, he uses his own gradesheet that he passes around each class period. Sometimes he goes off on tangents but not too often.

Attendance is difference between pass/fail. Get a chance to make up attendance points with late homework. He has a dry humor but i love this professor. Took ACC101 with him as well. Will answer any questions you have and explain until you understand. Gives bonus points in all his classes for answering questions aloud. TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

Steven is a great teacher, he really makes the class enjoyable by adding in videos, stories, and spicing things up a bit. He's real and authentic and relates to students compared to others who act like their robots. I highly recommend taking his classes.

This man is awesome. I took his online class, so there were a lot of video lectures to watch w/ outlined notes to make retaining the info easier, but they included every single thing on the test. Clean cut easy road to success & he accepts late work. Hes a chatty guy but 10/10 in my book. 6 tests in total, 12 hw assignments. And extra credit!

Took Walmans BUS 201 class and it was a pretty easy class. Learned a lot and the work load was manageable. His lectures were a little boring but thats to be expected. Walkman is a pretty laid back guy, take his classes!

80% of your grade comes from tests so make sure you get the review sheet he distributes and study that heavily, know every concept on it inside and out and you will have a very reasonable chance of getting a 4.0 in the class. Also, show up to every class because you'll have HW due which makes up the remainder of points. Bonus points available too!

He is flexible and cares that you get it done, will let you retest as many times as it takes as long as you are learning. Very flexible and works with any student!

I took Walman's online course. The structure is different, but I enjoyed the course. Tests are a huge part of your grade, so knowing the content is important. Tests can be retaken, plus tests and homework can be handed in late. Only downfall is tests must be taken at the testing center, even when you're taking an online course, which is a bummer.

Even in an online setting, Prof is able to teach & explain acct. seemlessly. I passed this class due to Walman's great teaching methods! You don't need the book! Prof is understanding and wants to see you succeed. Watch his videos, do the work, you'll thank yourself later! All tests are taken at the testing center, which is my only compliant.

Walman was great! I took BUS207 online and it was very easy. There are video lectures with print out notes. There is easy homework (your opinion or taking a survey) and the tests are 50 multiple choice questions. You get a 3x5 notecard for each test, they are in the testing center. You get a lot of extra credit opportunities. The final is optional

This was my first time having Mr. Walman, honestly the best professor I have met. The class is very simply if you do the homework. There are 5-6 test you do in person through the testing center 50 questions with a notecard. He always lets you turn in test/homework late. Always replies to emails and lecture videos to take notes on!

i had this class as online, and it was easy and a light workload compared to my other classes. for online, he posted videos to which you follow along and take notes to. there's one (fairly easy) homework assignment per unit, and two units per test. overall easy to keep pace with and would recommend it.

Walman is an excellent professor. Extremely well spoken. He also understands that students have lives and difficulties outside of school. He works around them all the best that he possibly can. Work with him and he'll work with you.

I personally really enjoyed taking a class with Walman for his witty and engaging lectures! Super light homework load, as well as fairly easy exams. Allows you to use a 3x5 notecard for exams as well. Walman is a bit eccentric, but that is a positive in my book!

Great intro to business law class. His video lectures explain everything you'll need to know and he gives guided notes for them. Your grade is heavily based on a few exams so be prepared to study! I wasn't a fan of the Respondus lockdown tests but made it work.

10/10 would reccomend for any of his classes in person for sure.

Having taken the online course in the summer semester I have no complaints for Mr Walmann. I'm sure he might be better in person but even the pre-recorded lectures are enjoyable. The Moose story stuck with me. Homework wasn't hard and the only recursive thing in exams was the Walmann's Wisdoms. Great course overall!

Great professor, just a little old school (still uses scantrons, has a paper grade sheet instead of canvas, etc). If you take it in person like I did you'll really enjoy him. 10/10 would take a class with him again.

Professor Walman is absolutely hilarious and very knowledgeable. I agree with what the others were saying about the disorganization of the online classes. Homework is easy, but the tests count as most of your grade. To get a good grade, you will need to put in the work and study. I did learn a lot from this class.

Walman's class is very straight forward, with all the materials and resources easily available for anyone to be able to pass his class. He is readily available to assist his students when in doubt. I took his online class and his virtual lectures were informative with some humor also mixed in which keeps lessons from becoming monotonous. 10/10

He's a great teacher. He's awesome at explaining things, and he cares about his students succeeding. The tests are worth a lot, so you have to make sure you're studying and putting the work in, but he makes the class pretty easy to understand.
