EXTRAORDINARY PROFESSOR!!! You MUST READ for any of the material and examples to make sense! This is a really great class. Professor Andrews explains the material well and applies them to life scenarios to better understand the material. Reading is a must. other than that, easy a A or B if you complete the written assignments and study for the tests and quizzes.

He's a chill professor and he's funny. He uses his own experiences as examples and is open to suggestion and feedback. The quizzes are exactly like the ones on the website. But you have to read the chapters, it's not hard at all though. Just come to class, be prepare for his quizzes and participate. Easy A!

READ THE BOOK. He does give chances to earn extra credit. He is a funny guy and likes it when students respond to his questions. He is easy to understand and if you have any questions he is usually more then willing to answer them for you. He is very nice, but don't expect him to give you an A or a B if you don't do your work.

I enjoyed his class this semester. Participation gets you extra credit points, and he tends to give you a higher grade if you have been participating a lot during the semester. He has college-level expectations, but they are very reasonable and accommodating. Very laid-back and funny, I highly recommend taking him :)

Professor Andrew is just a good guy. His class is perfectly structured KEEP YOUR SYLLABUS he sticks to it, and he tells you if he changes anything. Passing the class shouldn't be a problem for any one who reads the book, participates in class and does the papers. Seriously take this class.

A good teacher that focuses mainly on application than just facts. Read the book and due the online quizzes and you'll pass the class for sure. He's really funny but doesn't explain the concepts in detail because he expects you to have read the book. The tests are application-based so read and take notes on the lecture. No homework just 2 papers

Professor Andrews was the most interesting class I have had at LBCC. He could relate with his students and always was there to help us. You should pass this class easy if you do the practice exams and pay attention to his easy to follow lessons. His group activities were fun and had you outside of class sometimes doing social experiments.

the class is challenging, but let's be clear: you can pass the tests/quizzes IF YOU STUDY. you have basically a month for doing papers, so no excuses. loads of EC. he uses association to make everything from the book easier to understand. simply put, if you put forth the effort, you can pass. and yes, you WILL need the book the first day haha

Great Teacher! Gives extra credit. The book is required (buy international ed). There's 3 tests and you need to READ the book. The best part of the class is it's interactive and that he'll help you with anything (tests, terms, etc.) Worst part of class is when no one interacts and then awkward silence.

Teaches directly from the text book. Everything he says and outlines in class will be exactly the same way on the examquiz. Tells a lot of jokes (not very funny, but just laugh anyway to make him feel better). He'll scare you the first day and tell you that the class is hard. It really isn't, so hang in there and don't be afraid.

He presents the material in a way that is easy to understand and remember. You have to read in order to pass his tests. One thing he could do is have more application activities.

This class is not an easy A, you certainly have to put lots of effort. There are 3 exams (including the final, not accumulative), 3 pop quizzes, & 2 critical thinking papers. However, Professor Andrews is very understanding and caring and offers you chances to boost your grade with many extra credit assignments. He is really cool and funny too! (:

Professor Andrews is the Best Professor Ever He really makes you work for your grade but you actual walk out of the semester learning something. Out of the goodness of his heart, he does this so at the end of the day, we as students Succeed "in the real world", as he says. Not an easy professor but a professor worth taking. I took his class online during the spring semester. He puts a lot of emphasis on relating the assignments to real-life experiences as well as to the students' interests. You will not be bombarded with meaningless discussion boards. There were 3 exams (study well) and not too complicated weekly assignments. No papers!

At first I thought it's the end of my psychology career, but it's a happy ending and best class ever! He's very passion about the material and wants students to be able to apply it to real life. He's a great mentor, wants students to be prepare for Uni and very helpful. Test is hard, but with EC, papers, quizzes (study it!), you'll get good grade.

Professor Andrews seems great! The only thing I would change in his class would be allowing assignments to be done in TNR and to allow assignments to be turned in at 11:59 instead of 10:00. Really just personal preferences

I loved this class as the professor gives good feedback and is very inspirational. I usually don't like most professors but this on has definitely gained my utmost respect.

Professor Andrews gives a clear outline of what needs to be done each week in his class. Because the class is compressed into 5 weeks, it does get hard to read 3 chapters back to back (each chapter is 50 pages long), along with page long assignments and discusiion post for each chapter. You won't pass the exams unless you read the chapters.

Professor Steven Andrews is awesome. He made the online class interesting and yes it was alot but as long as your prioritize your schoolwork you have no trouble passing the class.

I see a lot of complaints about Andrews workload but they simply dont make any sense. The online course is a six week course of course the assignments are going to be condensed. Not to mention, hes a ridiculously easy grader. I work from 5AM-7PM every week day and have an A in the class. Anyone that can write and think critically will get an A.

Do the assignments/discussions and you'll be fine. Quizzes are multiple choice. Loads of reading.

I took this class as the safer-at-home orders went into effect. It was unprecedented for sure but Prof. A sent out weekly emails and helped me to feel connected to the class. Lots of great supporting media. As an online class, I appreciated the staggered assignments. Instead of everything due Sunday night, it required me to focus through the week.

One of my favorite teachers I have encountered at LBCC. Although I have taken this class online, Prof Andrews always gives encouraging feedback on every assignment and is very good at keeping his class updated with what is expected for the week via announcements. He is very understanding, genuine, and gives ample time to complete the assignments.

He is so far my favorite professor from the previous psych courses Ive had, he motivates you weekly with inspirational encouragement. Two assignments due weekly, one being the discussion and the other usually being a 2 page informative essay based on what you have learned that week. Very well organized and easy going! You should be able to pass!

I took his online course through this entire pandemic period and his online &quot;presence&quot; was very much appreciated. Vocab terms arent really the exam focus, learn about main topics and read through the CH. No final. I procrastinated a lot, but still got a B. Just do the work.

Hi! I took this class in fall with arranged hours. There were weekly discussions and it was pretty easy, not much stress. The tests are stuff right from the textbook but he also gave links to cool guiding videos (which I learn better from). He seemed nice though, left short comments on assignments. The content is interesting, so that's a plus!

Professor Andrews was awesome. His expectations are made plain in the syllabus, he gives quality feedback, he is easy to reach outside of class, and the content is thought-provoking. We had a 10p deadline on work, but late work was accepted with a point penalty. You will absolutely need your book and there is a nice extra credit option. He rocks.

Mr. Andrews is quite possibly one of my favorite teachers so far in LBCC, I would highly recommend everyone to take his classes even if you aren't a psychology major. He loves to crack jokes but still has a serious side, and he is extremely helpful with life advice too.

I really enjoyed this class. The professor makes it easy to learn and provides real life application. Engaging. Extra credit opportunities. The exams are hard, but everything else is easy. Easy grader on papers. Very chill and friendly.

Mr. Andrews he is hilarious and always has a smile on his face. He is understanding in where students lie in the difficulties of the world. He bases his lectures on real world applications He pushes you to get better for the bigger things in life. Five out Five stars 10 out of 10 for Prof, andrews. Im forever thankful for the knowledge he provided

Explains things in a very easy to understand way, made a lot of jokes, overall really kind and efficient professor. Would definitely take another course taught by him.

This course is book HEAVY, you must read the textbook in order to pass. the tests are okay. Professor was super understanding of my situation and helped me out so much. I do need to retake this course however but I will be taking it again with Andrews. I do wish when we go over the book material he explained it a little bit more in depth.

Professor Andrews is a genuine person. If you show up and do the work this class is a guaranteed B and an achievable A. He prepares you for the real world, a quality that is not exhibited by many other professors at LBCC. The tests are tricky, but the quizzes and essays bring the grade up. I highly recommend him, just make sure to show up to class.

Read the book, attend class, and don't ask for a study guide! Participation matters. He is always cracking jokes (make sure to laugh). He makes the material relatable to real life and provides real life advice. The quizzes and papers are "easy." The exams can be a bit tricky. The extra credit can make a difference in your grade. Enjoy the class.

Professor Andrews was chill, We had discussions every week every Assignment was do-able, the exam can be a lil hard but not much if you're on your game, He gave feedback every assignment which was nice (not negative feedback) every exam had multiple choice questions which is nice there are 50 questions for each exam

really nice professor and reasonable workload. a lot of interesting assignments, like short weekly discussions. there's some assignments where you interview friends/family, there's 4 exams and a final research paper which wasn't too bad. Everything was doable and I would definitely recommend this professor

Professor Andrews makes the material engaging with real-life examples and a good sense of humor. The course is textbook-heavy, but utilizing Unstuckstudy alongside the readings helps prepare for the exams. Overall, an enjoyable class if you stay on top of the work.

Wasn't the most amazing professor I had nor was he the worst. Class was enjoyable w/ interesting content, be prepared to write half-page/full-page discussion posts!! Our essay that he makes us do seems intimidating at first, but he publishes the details for it 2 weeks after classes start. Wouldn't retake him, but he's a good professor!

This professor was pretty good the final is a research paper with 2 main questions and there has to be 3 pages for each question. It was pretty easy to understand, just know you will be doing a lot of 300-word responses in discussion. He's also pretty lenient. OH, and he give great feedback on all assignments.

Prof. Andrews is absolutely one of the funniest and down to Earth professors ever. IF you put in the work, you will receive an A. Andrews emphasizes the need to PREPARE, so prepare for pop quizzes and to read chapters every week. I will admit, this class is not an easy A, but if you put in the work; you reap what you sow.
