Oh man, this dude's class is hard. WTF is with the women leaving ratings based on his looks. If you take this course, you'll have to work extra hard. I wish I took anderson again with his take home tests

Great teacher, its a hard course but you do actually learn things if you aren't to busy staring at him...and all I have to say is - it sucks he's a married man now ... haha

this teacher is great. mostly, students focus on his looks and handsomeness. that is not the issue. you came to school to study and not to study his teacher. peole complain that he is mean. he is not, he is only doing his job which is teaching. he is a great and an intelligent teacher who will make you study hard if you really want to. excellent.

Dr. Aquilani was and is the best science teacher at DCCC. He knows how to motivate his students, and I walked away from his class with a wealth of knowledge!!!

An Awesome Teacher!

I took every class i possible could. Even Botany (who cares about plants?) I even went to Belize with him for 2 weeks (study abroad program). He rocks in every aspect. Hes a really really good teacher.

Such an awesome teacher. Right blend of challenging and interesting. Easy on the eyes as well.

The best teacher I have ever had! He teaches the material so that you understand it not just memorize it. He is always willing to help you. If you need bio classes take his!!!

He is an excellent professor and he has a cool teaching style. If you do your work and study then you will get an A in his class. But if you mess around to much you will most likely score low. He does not tolerate late assignments, and his test contain mostly essays but if you work hard you will do well.

He made learning fun and interesting. It also didn't hurt that he was easy on the eyes. He is one of the cooler professors I had.

He is really anal when grading. Perfection describes him completely. And all his tests are open ended. However, his personality is really laid back and hes young, making him easy to relate to. And hes cute, too bad hes married...

Great guy, makes learning fun. Some good stories, and is there for you when you need help. Essay format for all tests. Know the material and no one could possibly have a hard time in his class. Best to show up if you want to do well.

Best teacher Ive ever had. Work can be hard, but he is always willing to explain anything. Attendance is very important if you want to do well! Tests are essay format. Ive taken BIO 110 and 111 with him and also 200. I would highly recommend him if you need to take biology courses!

He is by far the best biology teacher at DCCC. He's very knowledgeable. He thoroughly explains everything. He really relates to his students. I wish he taught more courses at DCCC.

On the first day, I was wondering where that hottie was going to sit and then he stood in front of the class, heh. He's fun and interactive. He's willing to explain. There are lots of opportunities for points toward your grade. However, his tests are essays so you have to know the material very well. He also doesn't respond to emails.

Dr. Aquilani is a great guy. A fair to good teacher. He expects you to know the material well enough to be able to write a relatively strong essay on the subject matter. If you pay attention in class and study some, you'll at least get a B or a C. He's funny and, if he likes you, will talk to you about stuff outside of the class material.

All notes online. Tests are essays, but straight from lecture. Relates info well. Got by without textbook. Easy A.

He's great! I loved him as my professor. I really learned a lot. All his notes are online and his tests are essays and short answers. He is very lenient when grading but you better know what you're writing on your paper. Be sure you memorize all the names. Lastly, spelling counts! If you need to take Bio, he is great!

Amazing teacher, amazing class. Highly recommend taking this class but be very prepared to get very dirty, work hard and learn a lot. Plus, if you can't arrive on time to an 8am class don't bother signing up because in this guys mind theres no greater sin than tardiness. Total hottie though ;)

He is a great teacher! I explains everything very well and like 10000x. He was easy for me because I have taken Bio courses in the past and he is the only one that made me actually understand what was happening and didn't just make me memorize.His tests are mostly essays but he digs through your answer to find the correct one.I HIGHLY recommend him

Great teacher, probably one of the best teachers I have had so far, his tests can be intimidating, mostly short answer and essay questions, but if you make sure you get the stuff in class and look over your notes your fine. He makes sure you get it in class and makes the information clear to everyone. taking him again for 111

I'm taking him right now, he seems care his students and very down to earth.. BUT...!! His exams are very scary, you better know material very VERY WELL.. in order to answer the essay questions.. yeah..

He's very knowledgeable about the subject, and truly gets hands on with the students. He calls on students randomly, which means you have to be on top of your game in his class. He's a nice guy, but can be quite lame. He's VERY slow at handing back tests, and doesn't give progress reports. His tests are quite hard considering they're all 100% essay

He breaks everything down into it's simplest form. Makes you learn it from the ground up. Good teacher! Don't buy a book!

VERY NICE GUY. CARES GREATLY ABOUT HIS STUDENTS AND WILL DO ON THE SIDE STUDY TIME IF NEEDED. HE DOESNT USE THE TEXTBOOK, JUST PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS AND NOTES. TESTS ARE PRETTY HARD BUT IF YOU STUDY THE MATERIAL YOU WILL BE FINE. MOSTLY ESAY QUESTIONS. HIGHLY RECCOMEND

I took his BIO 110,111 and 115 (ecology)...got three A, you have too understand the concepts and make sure you write fast as his test are all essays....no need to buy the book, just take notes really well....one other thing, he DOESNT respond to emails AT ALL....so ask questions in office or in class .... his explanations are easy to follow

He is a very engaging professor who takes the time to break things down to the simplest level and then builds from there. His essay tests are difficult but if you take great notes and study them you will be fine. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK, everything you need to know he tells you so make sure you don't miss a class or a lab!

I wouldn't consider him hard, as I got 2 A's, but, as others noted, his tests are all essay questions. His notes are all in powerpoint format, that you can print out, and he is very thorough in his lectures. As long as you take good notes as an addendum to the powerpoint notes, you shouldn't have any problems. Studying is a must. Great Professor!

Great man just took him for bio 2 he's cool he's young and super smart wish I taken him for bio 1 but whatever those reading this take his class for all your bio needs okay you'll learn alot and have fun

I wonder if I would ever have a good teacher like him.He was very helpful and clear. you did not need to go through the book if you attended his class regularly, and the lecture was clear that you could easily imagine how tests would look like. I would recommend this teacher to any student taking bio at DCCC

Great prof. very easy going. tests are not easy but if you study you will be fine. Also class notes are probably the most imperative thing in any of the courses he teaches. I had him for BIO 110 and 111 and he articulates his courses very well.

"Here's the rub" He's a very good professor, he knows what he's talking about and wants to make sure you know what he's talking about. Tests are all essay format, but during his lectures he literally hints to what the questions are going to be. Go to class and take good notes, you'll be fine. No textbook needed. Lab practicals were the hardest part

Dr. A is a very grate teacher. If you show up to class and do the work you will be fine. Plus he is eye candy to look at. His wife is a lucky woman...

He's a great teacher. He's a pretty sneaky teacher and some mini pop test were hard. He gives long study guides but some test were only about 10-15 so I was overwhelmed with the study guide. He's big on essay question they make up about most of the test! But if you read and ask lost of questions he's there to help!!! Good luck

Hard class, lots of material to learn, but really awesome teacher!! As long as you show up to class and study you should pass. He tells you what's on the tests/ practicals and you get points if you show basic understanding. I'm not a "bio geek" but I'd definitely take him again.

Took his Botany course- he gets stuck on some particular phrases, and he doesn't really use the textbook, but the course is really intuitive and deliberately set up so that he can adjust for students' interest. We did a stream study on campus just because! Very laid back and respectful, is easy to talk into teaching class outside in the spring.

He is a wonderful professor. Bio is a harder course so you will have to study A LOT outside of class. If you review the material again and again you will pass. He doesn't do extra credit so don't bother asking. You will do fine if you take good notes. He is also available if you are struggling in the class. I would recommend him if you take Bio.

Dr. Aquilani cultivated my newfound appreciation for one of my least favorite sciences. His teaching style is straightforward; pay attention+review the material. I recommend you print out his powerpoints before class and write down what he says in the margins, especially if he writes it on the board. Also, laugh at his jokes so he doesn't feel bad!

AWESOME!! He's a great professor, really knows what he's talking about. Dr. Aquilani is incredibly compassionate and willing to work with students that are willing to put in the work. Don't be afraid to ask questions, meet during office hours, or even talk about personal stuff. A+ guy. What you put into this class is what you get out of it.

The class was difficult and there was a lot of hard material to learn but he was very good at explaining it in a way to help us understand it. If you aren't determined, you will not succeed. You aren't graded on attendance, but I suggest you go to class in case he adds onto the notes and tells you what material will be an essay on the test.

One of the most amazing professor I have ever met! Professor Aquilani teaches the course so wonderfully, that it is easy to understand the materiel. Make sure to always review your notes and look at the slides he gives you and you will pass easily.

I got an A in both Bio 1&2 with him, but they were both the hardest classes I've ever taken. So much material is covered in depth. Tests are all essays. Be on time and be prepared for non stop note taking. He is tough, but is really passionate about biology.

Dr. Aquilani possesses a rare combination of genuine empathy for the student and mastery of the subject matter. Willing to provide detailed insights into the concepts, when needed, without wandering off topic and wasting lecture time. Just show up to class. It's a science course--can't really wing that stuff.

This man wants you to succeed as bad as he wants to breathe. Super chill, but super passionate and really really takes the time to explain concepts. He breaks it down barney style, you don't come to class you won't know the material on tests. You text or don't pay attention in class he has no sympathy when you have a D at the end of the semester

Such a caring professor, Id take him 100x over. We all had so much fun in his class. In the beginning of semester hell ask u if theres any questions, ask him if you have to buy a lab coat ;) secondarily, the only good music is Led Zeppelin and if you play guitar or have any sort of hobby congrats! Cause the professor Is now ur best friend.

Prof Aquilani is clear with expectations and super organized with everything due on one page so there was little confusion. His tests, quizzes and homework are multiple choice and lectures that are very in depth. I wish more science teachers described and taught lectures like he does.

Doc. A was amazing! All I had to do was show up early and go over the notes from the previous class. The homework was to study. There was a paper, but it was really easy. He explains biology in a fun way that is easy to remember, and he is really funny. I tell everyone to take his class! I would've taken Bio 111, but I needed to take chem instead.

I enjoyed this class. The exams are only based off lectures so as long as you listen to them and study a little you should do good on them. The homework is time consuming but not difficult at all. I would definitely recommend this class and professor to everyone.

I have taken bio three times in my life, and Dr. Aquilani is hands down the best bio teacher I've ever had. Show up to class, take notes, try. Studying is necessary, but you're in college. Sometimes you gotta study. Sorry champ. He is so passionate and he cares. He makes it make sense. All you need to do try. No homework.

Dr. Aquilani is hands down the best bio professor ive had the honor of learning from, he's fantastic at teaching tough concepts and actually makes learning the material fun. Super funny and chill guy but that doesn't mean you can slop by his class, its still college bio and you have to put in the work. Labs are super too :)

Dr Aquilani is hands down the best science teacher I ever had. He teaches the lessons in a way so it is easy to understand. Very patient and willing to answer questions so it is learned. I would take him for other courses in a heartbeat if I could.
