Took him for a summer intro to psych class and loved him. Hes just a really nice kind who cares about his students. He even sang to us before exams to calm and relax us. I learned a lot in the class, even made it my major.

I had Prof B. for this past summer semester. I transferred out of another psych class because that professor was rude and quite possibly the worst teacher I've ever seen. Prof B was AMAZING. I took his online class (my first time doing that) and was extremely helpful, clear, and inciteful. Great guy and great teacher.

I just took his online class. Understand that you will work, work, work but learn, learn, learn. He is so knowledgeable and responsive, my only regret is that I didn't have the chance to take an "in person" class to meet him because I know from a distance...he made me smarter and that's what school is all about. You need text!

I took an online class over a break, so there were lots of work on a daily bases (1 chapter a day). You can read the chapter once and do fine on the quizzes/exams. Make sure you are posting regularly and you'll receive a good grade. There were no papers or interviews that had to be completed. Professor is very helpful and clear, willingness to help

Dr B. makes lectures interesting and understandable. He's not going to give feed you the answers to the exam so you MUST read the book cover to cover for exams and cumulative final. Do your work and study the book and its an easy A.

I took online class on summer. It's a lots of work on daily basis one chapter in each day and every Friday one exam so there will be three exam on every Friday and one final that us cumulative. The exam is baced on 50 question in one hour. Need to read each pages very sharply. Very Helpful professor and easy going. Take him if you can.

Dr B was amazing! I loved his class, he made it very interesting. He plays his guitar and sings to class b4 every exam. He makes everyone feel very special. The teacher I have ever had throughout my entire years of school.

I have to say, he's the best professor I've had in my 3 years of college thus far. The point of a class is to come out of it with a good amount of knowledge in the subject and he makes sure you do. In order to pass, you must know the book very well. The material isn't hard, it's just about putting in the time.

Took this class online during the 3-week winter session. If you are consider taking it then, it is a LOT of work. There is about 3-5 hours of work every day, 6 days a week, for the 3-week term. 2 tests, a cumulative final, a paper, and a lot of discussions - great professor, but a lot of material in a short time.

I took a 7 week online course.There was a total of three exams along with a paper and collection of articles.It consumed more time than a regular class because you get to read people's responses, but it was nonetheless enjoyable.

What a fantastic teacher. I will say it is a lot of work and he wants you to have the booked memorized but he is really great. He cares about his students and will help with anything. He is the type of person I think you could talk to about anything. The class flies by. As long as you keep up with everything you'll be fine.

Great professor! Truly loves his students and wants to help them in any way possible. Lectures can be a little boring. I read the book , answered his study guide questions, and the required 3page report ended the semester with an A. He occasionally has a sign in attendance sheet.

Very demanding online course. 3 tests and 1 final. All tests are timed and most questions on the tests are worded VERY LONG. A research summary and a collection are due by the end of the semester. However, there are weekly post with 5-7 questions that you must answer & also reply at least 8. Not an easy A. I did my best and still got an A- minus :

I took this class online, you purchase mypsychlab so you don't need the textbook because the textbook is online. Make sure you write a lot in all discussions, pass the tests and you will pass. I would would take him again, grades are posted day after test. Great Professor!

Barnhart is the best professor you could ask for. I took him for a 7 week online psych course. It was a LOT of work because of the course length, but it went by really fast. As long as you do the work, you won't have any issues. All exams, including the final are online. He is such a genuine, caring man. Highly recommend taking him.

Had him for a 7 Week online class so naturally there was a lot to cover in little time. There's a lot of reading and responses to the reading involved. As long as you don't fall behind, you'll be okay. Because it was an online class, it was me teaching myself and Dr. B clarifying. Email him if you don't understand something, or have a problem.

I can't say enough great things about professor Barnhart. If you have the opportunity to take him, do it! His lectures are interesting and really makes you appreciate psychology. He prepares you well for exams and goes over any questions you have. He truly cares about his students and I was genuinely sad when the class was over! He's the best!

His online course was very straight forward, do the work (which if you read the chapters he assigns is easy-peasy) and if you contribute to the class discussions you will do well in his class. Without a doubt my favorite professor I have ever taken. He gives a lot of good feedback and has clear criteria on what is due each week. In total it is approximately 2-3 hours of work per week. Enjoyed every second of the class and liked hearing his feedback to see what I missed. If you need an introductory course for psych he's the one!

There are no words that can describe how sweet and knowledgeable this professor is. Child psych with Dr. Barnhart prepares you for the whole journey of psychology if you are a psych major. He is not easy, but you actually learn in his class. He is very passionate about his job and really enjoys what he is doing. Highly recommend him!

Hands down the nicest professor I've ever had. Incredibly sweet to his students & genuinely caring. Sings before exams. Lectures are very low key & he likes for things to be conversational. Two exams, a group project, an individual project, & raising a virtual child are the assignments. Everything very clear cut & straight forward.

100% needs awards for how well this class is taught. I used the textbook only for studying. Lots of notes on his power points. Small paper due at the end of the semester; finishing virtual child and a group project, alongside a midterm and final make your grade. He recommended not missing more than two classes, but doesn't keep attendance records.

He's super sweet, and very pumped to actually make you learn the essentials. He leaves all the assignments open until the deadlines (and sometimes extends it), and you're mostly graded by small and easy things, letting you have time to study well for the tests. He also serenades on the midterm with his guitar, which is relaxing at best. BEST prof!

Professer Barnhart is an amazing professer. He give you 3 quizez throughout the course 1 final. His class was very easy we had about 5 discussions to answer a week. Very fair grader. Great and caring teacher. You don't meet him in a traditional class but he gives very helpful feedback and tries hard to make a warm environment to participate in online. This class is accelerated and A LOT of work/reading. Stay on top of the work with a steady study plan and it will do the trick.

EXCELLENT by far my favorite, I usually don't have much luck finding a good online professor. He gives terrific feedback, there was a lot of homework because this was a 7 week class. You have to buy Launch Pad. I would 100% recommend having him as your professor. In person midterm and final.

As someone who took his 7-week online course, it is a lot of material for a non-psych major. It still doesn't change my view on this amazing guy! He was understanding for letting me take the midterm and final a week later. I will be taking him for child psych in the spring! I urge every psych major to have him as a prof, you won't regret it!

Need to buy textbook, and need to read it all. His lectures are interesting. He has much experience and knowledge. Do all the assignments and complete the online platform works as well. If you do that, you'll get a good grade. As for the exams, they are difficult but fair. He gives you a study guide, which helps. All info comes from book and PPTs.

Prof. B is more of parental figure than a professor at times. He says things that usually parents would say to you & I mean it in the best way possible. He genuinely cares for his students. I learned more than psychology, there were some life lesson that I will carry with me thanks to him. He hypes up everyone before tests with his guitar too

If you get the chance to take Dr.B for any psych class I would go for it. His priority is his students and cares a lot. You will learn so much in such a small time. I can say Dr. B is a such an excellent professor. If he would taught another classes I would definitely take him again. Of course there is work to do but he is available to help you all the way. In this class, we are required to buy a textbook (around 100 brand new) and we have to read the entire textbook. Yes, the entire textbook because the discussions, mid-term, and final revolve around the book and PowerPoint slides.

Dr. B is extremely forgiving with late submissions, but you must study from the textbook and take good notes to do well on the midterm and final, each carries 25% of the final grade!

There's a LOT of reading involved but the rest of the class was online discussions every 3 days (cuz this was a summer class) and online textbook quizzes. I took Prof. Barnhart for PSY 123 and I just had to come on here to write about him. He was the most sincere, caring teacher who genuinely wants the best for you. The final was a 5 page paper and youre given the entire day to work on it.. You also get 2 attempts per quiz. He doesnt overload work and is very understanding with late submissions.

He seems like a very nice guy(I took him online only) The only thing I would warn you about, is the amount of reading. The rest is really easy. If you miss work, he does not put it in as a Zero. I highly recommend.

I took this as a summer class so it was accelerated, even so professor Barnhart always checked in to help and was always accessible. I once forgot to post an assignment that was due two weeks before I had remembered it and he still gave me points for submitting it. Really appreciate this professor.

Mr. B was my favorite professor this entire semester. He is the sweetest man ever and genuinely cares about all of hist students. Do not be afraid to ask him for help. Assignments are always on canvas and he allows late assignments. I 100% recommend him for anything.

Dr. Barnhart is the best professor I had this semester. He cares a lot about his students and is always there outside of class if they need help. There is a lot of reading required for this class. The text book is built into canvas though.

This professor was very friendly, put in a lot of effort by sending long comments with information to read and responses to our assignments/discussions to learn from. The papers required thinking but could be an easy A if you do your work. He is very helpful if you have questions and always seems willing to help.

The best professor I've taken! He is clearly very eager to help the class do well. assignments and lectures are always interesting and he visibly loves his job and the subject matter he teaches. Very easy to get along with and has a fair grading policy. I look forward to this class every week

Took 3 hour class, went by quickly(few minutes of break time inbetween)All lectures are powerpoints,can access online but if not there for lectures you wont understand powerpoints cause they need verbal explanation. Hw easy, Midterm&Final were easy, you just need to be able to explain the concepts but I think his grading is fair and genuine.

TAKE HIM!!!!!! His class was the easiest class i had all semester. homework online due every sunday, consisted of multiple choice questions and a short quiz. the midterm and final exam were straight foward. easy grader. very personable. 10/10

One of the best class I had this semester. He takes a supportive stance and clearly cares about his kids. There is only one midterm and final exam. Furthermore, he is always happy to offer extra help for any difficult lessons, either in person after class or online.

Dr. Barnhart is easily the best professor I've taken. He answers emails fast and will work with you if you have an issue. He makes the class interesting with the discussions and there is no pressure to post the perfect response. Dr. B is overall an awesome and respectable person and professor, take his class if you have the chance!

I definitely recommend taking Dr. Barnhart! He is such a nice professor and truly cares about his students. He makes his lectures fun and interesting too. The work is not hard, there is just a bit of reading and a quiz each week.

Cares for his students and develops course material that is transferrable knowledge amongst a wide range of fields of study.

Professor Barnhart is the man. Please take him if you get the chance to. His lectures kept me engaged in psychology and made me more knowledgeable about everything. The workload is very manageable with the quizzes and study plans, along with a midterm and a final. Wonderful person and an even better Professor. Highly recommend him.

Absolutely great professor. Caring, fun, and professional. Took his class as a online course and gives out great feedback for each discussion post. Classwork is simple but challenging which helps in retaining what's being taught. If you're going for a Psych major or just a Humanities elective, get a slot to his classes quick!

Easy A. Online course, everything was done online. Just Final exam was in person, but 35% of the grade. But you only need a C in the class so it was really easy to end with an A in the class anyway.

Professor Barnhart is a caring, engaging professor who makes the course material interesting. The workload is manageable, with quizzes, midterms, and a final. Attending lectures is crucial, as the slides need his explanations. unstuckstudy was a helpful study tool alongside the textbook.

Dr.B will make you fall in love with psychology! Knowledgeable, respectful, motivating. Brings up the best in you. Whether you need psychology class or just want to learn it for yourself, that's the professor you want to be teaching you.

One of the sweetest professors I've ever had, you can tell his love for teaching is strong. Very accommodating and understanding if you're having a hard time in his class.

TAKE THIS CLASS! absolutely one of the best classes if ever taken. Very engaging and interesting, such a fun class. The material is understandable and easy to access. TAKE HIS CLASS! He's be far one of my favorite professors and I was majoring in biology but was thinking about psych and so I met in the middle and was inspired to do neuroscience! I loved his class even though it was fully online and asynchronous, I'm kind of disappointed I didn't take him in person. Do your work and you will be fine! He's so kind

one of the best profs of all time, you will have a lot of homework but it is all managable, all the work is done online, due dates are flexible with full credit. i am a CJU major only needed this class for completion. very out of my field but well worth it. study for the midterm and final and you will be okay.

He made psychology so interesting and was always able to capture my attention. He is passionate about what he teaches and it really helps you absorb the material. I would love to take him again, by far one of my favorite teachers ever!

He is a great Professor. His class is very easy and if you do well in the online quizzes, prepare for midterm and final you will do well. He also gives a project that help boosts the grade.

he was gen such a kind and sweet teacher and he cares about you and your circumstances. he gives weekly assignment but theyre easy to complete and are js like the midterm and final, both of which are pretty easy. plus he plays a song on his guitar before both!! would def recommend, very sweet and i miss his class
