suprised to see sad faces. I thought his class was such an easy A. Papers are long but I found he wasn't so hung up on all of the formatting as much as other english teachers. His test are also really easy. I thought the material was awesome and really interesting. You have to like to read!

I took this class online over the summer and it was a great experience. We had 2 write a few papers but he was very helpful. The text was also great and gave you alot of guidance for writing a good paper.

He is a great proffesor and extremely helpful. A great guy with alot of humor and I loved his style of teaching. He pushes you to learn and strive for excellency.

I really liked Brodsky although I heard that a few people didn't. He's easy on the papers, doesn't get into tearing them up or getting too technical. Looks like a movie director from LA. The stories we read were also interesting, easy to read. Explains poetry so you get it!

Such an all around awesome person. as long as you put in effort he will give u a good grade . i would definatley take him again. TAKE HIS CLASS!!!

as long as you read the stories throughly and remember the authors names, you'll do great. tough grader for the essays though, so make sure you put plenty of effort into them and you'll do fine. he's very helpful, he tries his best to help you understand whatever you don't get.

I took this course on-line over the summer and would not recommend this to anyone!! There is a LOT of reading. Plus, he's busy with his life so if you have a question it takes a while to get an answer and when you do get one it's usually very short and not very helpful. I personally did not like the guy... Very arrogant.

hes a very efficient TEACHER and great proffesor, but dont take the class if your not serious about learning

Prof. Brodsky was an excellent teacher. I took his class in the spring of '04 and I personally found it very enjoyable. He does expect you to do your work, but he really doesn't make it that hard, and he grades VERY fairly. Plus, he's a NICE guy who will go out of his way to help you out if you're having problems! Take his class if you can.

Will Def help you but you have to be willing do all the work and stay on top of it. Easy quizes and 4 major essays do all of them. He def is an easy grader!

he assigns a lot of work, but its worth it. he tries to get the best from you n will definitely improve the value of your writing. he expects effort n if u dont give it, then you won't pass. he is understanding n helpful. he lets you go early quite a bit. :) if you work, it will be a class where you actually learn how to write better.

I took Prof Brodsky's class online and although there is a lot of work, I got a lot out of it. If you do all the work you'll do fine. He's really helpful, too. You just have to be willing to work!!! I'd definitely take a class with him again!

This class seems like a lot of work at first but once you start its really not bad. He is an easy grader. Most of the people in my class have A's you just have to do all the work and only miss 1 class or so. (he will drop you if u miss more)

Easy A for his online course.

His class was amazing and his teaching is very clear and understandable. As long as you do the work and put some effort in to your work you'll get an A. He keeps you interested in the work and he is very funny. at times. He always asks for your opinion and is willing to help you with any problems. HE is a great teacher.......

He named his syllabus "Do or Die." That should give you an idea of the amount of work you'll get. Twenty-three students registered for the class but there were only about 9 or 10 actively participating towards the end. And only 6 handed in their final project's first draft. His syllabus could well be called "Survival." I lived to testify.

Nice guy. Helpful and smart! Take him if you like writing and don't mind working. I think its funny that someone who rated Brodsky said "I Wouldn't recommend him to NO ONE." Maybe if you knew how to use the English language you'd do better in an English class. Don't listen to that guy, take this professor!

I took his online course this semester and I found it relatively easy. 3 major papers; 3 tests and discussion work for all 3 chapters. I didn't feel it was difficult at all, and I felt he is a very fair grader. Any email communication I had with him was always pleasent and helpful. I recommend him!

I took his online class. There was alot of work but, if you tried he helps if you need it. I would take him again!

Such an easy grader. I didnt even have to try and i got an A. Read the textbook and you get 100. put some effort into the class and it's an easy A. i love brodsky!

Professor Brodsky is an amazing teacher and person. I grew in my writing so much just by being in his class. He sincerely cares, and it shows. If you don't care about your craft, don't take this class. If you do, then when you take it you will understand all the rewriting involved. It's part of the process!

He's one of my favorite professors. He really knows how to teach the material and an easy A if you do your work. I'm definitely taking another class of his!

amazing teacher. lesson plans are so clear and to the point. quizzes based on the chapter at the end of each chapter. about 5 essays, an oral report & portfolio.. sounds like a lot of work but it ties into itself really well. i learned alot. if you cant write a paper his class will definately change that. lets out early highly reccomended!!!!!

I took this professor online for Advanced Expository Writing. There was a lot of work to do, but the due dates were spaced out evenly. He is EXTREMELY helpful and if you need to send in something late he's understanding, as long as you let him know. I would definitely reccommend this professor.

Professor Brodsky is an amazing teacher. hes very helpful and if u dont understand something he will keep going over it for u ..there is deff. a lot of work and its very challenging but hes a fair grader n gives u plenty of time for everything. i would deff love to take him again! hes awesome! & midterm n finals r the only tests n their take home!

If you want to learn then this professor is the way to go. he takes his class serious but at the same time is very helpful

An easy A! I wish all my teaches could be like him! He is very clear on everything. Very helpful. He makes us get a textbook online which is cheaper and more convient than a traditional text. 4 essays each with a quiz, which are very easy. Just pay attention and you will do fine. Very Highly Recommended!

Great professor. Class was easy and to the point. Tells you exactly what he wants you to do on the papers, & tests are just common sense. Gave us 4 papers & 4 tests, no midterm, no final. I failed to do 2 of the papers but passed all the tests & he gave me a B+. He's easy, funny, helpful, and serious.

One of the best professors I've ver taken. Goes out of his way to help you out. We had to write 4papers and take a test on each one (each paper is a style of writing, ex: argumentative, story-telling, research), I only did 2 of them & took all 4tests & still got a B+. Really makes the class interesting & encourages you to at least do the work

Do the work and you will get an A. There is a lot of repetition but it will be so simple by the semester. Professor Brodsky is great and everyone should take him!

He was such a great professor. Didnt answer emails but there was no need for questions once you read the assignment. I took this online, and i only had 4 quizes and 3 essays the whole semester. I got 95 and up on all assignments. Each quiz is from the textbook and very easy. I was so happy i took ENG 102 also for this up coming semester! Easy grade

Professor Brodski is amazing clear, professional and realiable You need to do your work, and show for class on time .He is very helpful and there for you to guide you with any problems that you have with your essay. I highly recomended. It was a pleasure to be in his class.

Most of his Freshman Composition class is writing 3 essays with different criteria, which you choose the topic for. He's very good at explaining methods of writing the different types of essays, and focuses a lot on working with other students, which I liked. One really annoying thing is that he always wants multiple drafts of one essay.

he is best take. Do your work on time and you will get A. Show some development in your essay.

All around amazing Professor. I really advanced in his course throughout my semester with him. As long as you do your work in full detail and your reading, you'll get a good grade. Highly recommend this course with this Professor. )

I'm in his online class and so far I like it. No tests or quizzes. 3 essays, all are 1250 words (5 pages). Weekly 500 word discussions with 2 replies to your peers posts 200 word minimum. Sometimes that seems like a lot, but it really isn't. He's very clear and answers emails asap. Take him for english online if you can.

Took him for ENG 102 online in the Spring 2015 semester at Suffolk. Pretty easy, 500 word discussion post each module with 2 250 word responses to other student posts. There was also a midterm paper and a final which are long but everything else is pretty easy. Everything is pretty clear and easy to understand too. Not hard at all.

Awesome Professor! Took him twice, and I would take again if I needed more English classes. No tests, 2 papers, online discussions. Answers emails pretty quickly. Gives good feedback always, which is nice. I highly recommend this Professor. I learned a lot with both courses I took with him.

I took the online class. It was VERY easy! there are 3 five page essays, weekly 500 word discussions, 2 200 word replies to other posts. It seems like a lot, but this class actually doesn't consume much of your time. As long as you meet all the requirements (word count, page count, points to discuss) you will get a good grade. Definitely recommend

Good teacher. 3 tests, a couple easy homeworks, three 5-8 page essays, one of which is a research essay. Can't remember exactly how long each had to b. LOVES his rough draft and revising process! The three tests are just to show ur understanding of his notes, so study your notes for the tests which are 8-10 questions, about half a paragraph answers

Easiest class to pass I completely recommend him

This class was fairly simple. Discussions were bi-weekly where we had to write a short essay on what we read, there were 3 long papers, and a short book to read. Overall this class was very clear & easy. The workload may seem like a lot, but it's spread out nicely over the semester. I would recommend to anyone taking ENG 102, it's an easy A,

I took Mr. Brodsky's Eng101 class a few years ago. As my first college class, I was a little weary of the workload and overall experience. It didn't take long to become grateful I chose him as my first professor. I wouldn't say his class was, "Easy", but the workload was relatively light. His class will pave the way to sufficient college writing.

If you decide to take ENG 101 online, make sure to have him as a teacher!

Great professor! Took him my second semester and I loved him. If you do the reading and complete the writing assessments, you should do fine.

I took his ENG101 online and it was a breeze. Clear about what he wants out of assignments and is lenient on handing papers in late! Doesn't explain why he gives you the grades you get but most likely won't be upset about getting straight As.

Make sure to do all the essays and you will pass.

Professor Brodsky is very clear when assigning projects and what he expects from them. The class is usually a lecture with some group work but i learned a lot that can be used later on career. He makes sure that the students understand what is being discussed and makes time after class for any further questions. My favorite professor thus far.

Brodksy gives great, specific lectures and always provides examples so you easily understand. We have 3-4 papers. Not too bad but a lot of work is put into them but he gives clear instruction on everything. Got an A for every one. Not an easy A tho, dont expect to put no work in. Gives 3 online quizes. No final. Textbook is used.

He was an amazing professor! He gave only 3 paper the whole semester and grades very nicely. He is such a sweet and nice man, would def take again!

Hes cool, a lot of group work, only have a few essays and quizzes. Honestly class wasn't so bad. He lets you leave early a lot too, and is very understanding.

Not that much homework- maybe one assignment every week and a half. (500 words minimum) About 4 essays to be completed for the semester which is not bad. Very easy grader. I took online so he makes you write replies to 2 of your peers (200 words minimum) but you get used to it after a couple of assignments. Overall just buy the textbook and read.

You have to do a lot of work but he is a nice man

Professor Brodsky genuinely cares about his students understanding of the topics and their success in class. He's always willing to re-explain things. The class consists mostly of him explaining and giving notes. There are 4 essays and with each essay being due is a take home test using the textbook. Class usually gets let out after 45 minutes.

Awesome professor! Very understanding, put your effort into the papers and take home quizzes he gives and youll do fine.

Professor Brodsky is very clear on what he expects, very thorough I took an online class, he has a folder for each module with great notes. I feel like it was an easy class. He responds when emailing and was very understanding when I needed a day or two extension. Would take the class again!

Professor Brodsky is just great! His advanced expository writing class was difficult but man did I learn a lot! I enjoyed the structure he gave us to really understand these different genres of writing. Going to miss this class!

He was a pretty nice guy and is pretty fair about grading. If you do good research and format well, you'll be fine. I don't have a complaint.

Really nice guy and fair! 3 essays and that's all. Lets you out of every class 30 mins-hr early! Has "workshop" days where he cancels class so you can work which I loved! Very helpful and understanding of late work! Wish I could have taken him again! But he does ask u to go into small groups often and discuss which I did not like but not the worst

Professor Brodsky is a pretty nice and fair grader. The class has a lot of writing assignments, but if you put in the work, you'll learn a lot. Using tools like Unstuck AI and the free textbook can really help with study prep.
