Wonderfully helpful, really cares about each student and them acaully absorbing the information. Loves biology and it shows which is great. Isnt an easy class, but hes a great teacher.

Extremely interested in his field, which definitely affects the students. Cares about making sure his students enjoy/actually LEARN. Hard class, but you definitely learn.

his tests can be pretty tricky, but you learn a lot from his class. his lectures are enjoyable and he's a nice, friendly teacher. students can always feel comfortable asking him questions.

He is my fav teacher at GRCC....learned alot in his class. Made class interesting even when he knew it was boring super enttheausiastic...about beer he related everything to beer making was very humerous.

Good teacher with funny wise cracks.

He's always enthusiastic about what he's teaching. Sometimes he's difficult to follow, but if you show him that you're interested in understanding he's more than willing to help you.

Awesome teacher I took him last quarter and he was very helpful and understanding. I hate taking science but, he was real cool. Make sure to look at your syllabus becasue he doesn't really remind you so much about upcoming due dates. Easy A if you study, go to class and lab.

Easily one of my favorite teachers. He is very informative and also very funny. I laughed in just about every class last quarter. You will learn a lot and enjoy it.

I loved Mr B. hes really fun and gets excited when you learn something new. As long as you attend his classes and labs and keep up on your reading, you will enjoy his class a lot. Ive taken Biology before with a different teacher and I tried my hardest and still failed but with Mr B's teaching methods it was fun and easier to understand.

His personality earned him high rating, and so he will be your choice if you are really interested in biology and want a knowledeagble friend to discuss with all day long. However, if you take the class just as a requirement, you might find Biol100 requires much more efforts than most other 100 courses and want to consider alternatives.

Amazing guy! Super funny. probably my favorite teacher ever. he didn't care if you messed up the labs, just as long as you try hard. you don't have to buy the text book though. any high school biology text will work fine.

Mr. B is the best teacher I have ever had in my two plus years at GRCC. He is very smart, and is always willing to give his time to help you out. I strongly recommend taking him for any of the biology classes he teaches!

He jokes a lot, but he is pretty dang knowledgeable if you ask him a question. Labs are a lot of fun with him, and simple. You will laugh everyday you go to this class. If you complete the assignments and study for the tests you'll do good in this class-- I got a 4.0!

Wow it seems incredible to me how rude people can be. I have had Mr. B for many classes (anatomy, biology, and zoology)and he has been the best professor I have ever encountered. those who do not appreciate his humor should go and take all of the monotone/ boring professors and see how you will do.

I have taken many classes with him. He is passionate about what he teaches and knows the material well. He does make jokes quite often but it keeps the students awake and not bored. Honestly I have learned more from him than I have from any other professor. If you enjoy learning the material and are willing to work hard, Steve is your teacher.

Great teacher, loves to make jokes, but that makes the classtime fly and keeps you in touch with what's happening in the class. Extremely helpful, willing to come in on Sundays to help you study for exams. Labs were through and easy, made it easy to understand what was going on. Great teacher for the intro level-even though the material is intense

He was very helpful and funny. You only need to do all the assignments and hw, then you can get 4.0

I liked him as a professor. I don't really like bio in the first place but he made it better C: It's a long class but he makes it go by quick. I reccomend to take advantage of his pre-test review days. They really help

He is a good teacher but he is getting harder and harder. He is funny and he makes the class so interesting. In fact he is much much better than teacher who only teaches Bio 211 in fall quarter. Just try your best in Mr. B class.

Brumbaugh is smart guy who loves biology and wants everyone else to. His BIO &211 class was not easy, but if you REALLY study the lect notes, past exams and questions from the lecture notes, you can get a good grade. 4 people out of about 50 in the class earned a 4.0, I was one of them. Attendance necessary if you want to learn. Doesnt use textbook

I think that the people who dont like this prof are on drugs or just didnt study and got bad grades. He is awesome and he gives you EVERY opportunity to get an A because he doesnt want to to repeat anymore than you do. Great prof,just study take notes and turn in every assignment even if its late and you will pass with an A

COOLEST TEACHER EVER...PERIOD. Had I gad more teachers like him starting out id have never hated school.If you think he is rude or condescending you are way to sensitive or still pee the bed because he is hilarious and TRULY cares about his students.

This class is a tremendous amout of work. Lab notebook 50+ pages, field journal, research paper, Pre lab questions, lab quizzes, independent lab project including write up and oral presentation, 3 exams and comprehensive final. Record his lectures to study later. Very challenging class! Mr. B is a bit sarcastic but a very nice person.

Best teacher ever...Record his lectures and when you study just play the audio while lookin at his ppt... Gives pratice exams before the real exam, answer any of the pre-lab question if you ask him. Overall, attendance is must because most of the lecture is oral and you have to be in the class to understand the concept...

Awesome teacher. He keeps it very interesting with humor and keeps the students involved by constantly asking everyone questions. There is lots of coursework and study time involved so be ready to STUDY! Study the student objectives on the notes and if you have trouble understanding things, you tube some topics if you're a visual learner.

He is a great and wonderful teacher. He keeps the class fun. However you need to come to class because most of his points in lecture is given orally and not so much in the presentation. He is very helpful.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER! Isnt easy, but he grades on effort. If you try then he will help you out. He drops your worst test score as long as you turn every thing in. Funny as heck! Gives out a BUNCH of extra credit to those who show up to class, especially on fridays and days before a break. Don't buy text didnt use it at all and he says you wont.

GREAT professor. Passionate about biology and this shows through his entertaining lectures. All you need to do to succeed is show up, listen to his lectures, take good notes, and review those notes. He is a very lenient grader and gives many points back on exams. An all-around nice guy and one of my favorite processors at GRCC.

Very few professors are as down to Earth, helpful, friendly and fun to learn from than this man. He makes the subject fun and as long as you do all of your work and show interest in the subject there is no excuse to do poorly in his class. The class isn't easy as there is a lot of work to do but it is all necessary and interesting.

Mr. B is super nice and very lenient. He wants you to succeed, but beware! There is a lot of work involved with his class. His tests are not easy! There are assignments due almost every class and definitely with every lab. A field journal, oral presentation and 4 pg. paper due at end of quarter. No grades are weighted, which helps your grade a lot!

Mr. B 'S class is very deep. Every class you have lots of knowledge expansion and his presentation contains lots of information. I learned a lot through his classes, assignment, and recommended websites. Also Mr.B's class is fun, he teaches me to like biology indeed. He is also very willing to answer our questions, I learn a lot from him.

Funny helpful easy biology class ever! Give out lots of extra credit

Took bio211 and bio 212. Guy is down to earth and veteran. He was combat medic in military. Lots of fun stories. Got 3.4 in 211 and 4.0 in 212. Advise read notes and go over ppt after class that meant 3.4 to 4.0. Ask questions and use his after hours. Guys has patience, loves feedback and good humour. Must take!!!!

He is so funny, he related bio to the real world and will continue to explain it to you until you get it, using different examples. Got a great sense of humor. He gives you practice exams and does a lot to help you. Offers extra credit occasionally. BUT, DONT BUY THE TEXBOOK, its useless and you cant buy it back at the end of the quarter.

I personally never knew what to expect on his tests despite heavy reading from the book but at least he drops a lowest test score. He grades labs so harshly. Expect a lot of busy work outside of just lectureexams too. Like essays, an independent group labpresentation, and a field journal. Did I mention he is very harsh on the lab notebook?

He was so down to earth, & helpful. And I must say that Mr. B is the best professor I ever had. I had him for Biol 100, 211, 212, & 213.

Mr. B is a great teacher! His lectures are interesting and he's always saying things that make you laugh. This was by no means an easy class, but the professor does everything he can to help you succeed. If you show up for lectures, read the book, and do your homework, you should do great! Mr B is awesome! His lectures are so interesting because he makes jokes along the way. Heavy lab work. Expect lab practicals (that's kinda hard). He has study section before each exam. He's by far the best bio teacher I've ever had. Will take his 213 class. BEST BIO TEACHER EVER!

He is excited to teach you biology! His lectures are long but he makes them entertaining. This class is hard and you will need to study and read outside of class, but if you pay attention and study you can get a good grade. He will explain anything to you until you understand. His enthusiasm keep me interested! Wish I could take his class again!

He was a tough grader, I never passed a test. However, all of the homework really does make a difference in your grade. Although he was very helpful, his wording for exams and homework assignments was very confusing.

Very passionate about bio. I had a hard time with his tests as it is difficult to figure out what he is looking for sometimes, but the amount of homework he gives made up for my less than ideal test grades. If you put in the effort and try to participate you will do well.

He grades differently than most professors, which in his class really eases the burden. None of the tests or other assignments are weighted, it's just all points. You can get a D on all the tests and still pass if you do all the work. To study for the tests, write out your answers to the student objectives. Textbook not needed, but helpful.

Mr. B rocks! I took his class for Bio160, the introductory course. You do have to show up, but as long as you pay attention in lecture you'll be good. He makes lecture enjoyable and actually cares if his students learn or not. Puts aside special study times before tests. Asking questions okay! Do your homework and show up!

Mr. B is one of the best teachers I've had at Green River! Yes, his class is hard and you have to make an effort to study on your own time, but if you show up and do the work you will have no problem passing his class. He is enthusiastic about biology and truly wants ALL of his students to succeed! Highly recommend taking his class.

He's a great teacher that knows his topics. I would, however, recommend that you check out this YouTube channel "Highlyskeptical." They are a great way to review the material and covers most of everything you will learn in the class! Super great, especially if you don't like reading the chapters in the book! The videos cover all BIOL 211, 212, 213.

Professor Brumbaugh is an amazing teacher and I highly recommend you take his class. As long as you put in the effort to complete and process the homework he hands out and lectures, then you will pass his class. There's oppurtunites to review for the exams before hand, he gives practice exams and is available to review to answer any questions

I love Mr. B. He gives lot of little homework assignments that bring your grade up if you got a bad score on a test. You dont have to come to lectures but you should come to lab days. There is a homework due every week, and pre-lab and report sheets due every week that are done with a group. The only thing I have to say is find a reliable group!

Mr. B is definitely on the best biology professors I've taken. He's caring and funny. He likes to tell stories a lot. There are weekly assignments that are easy and wroth a good amount of points. There are 4 tests and 4 quizzes in his class that are fairly easy as long as you study. His lectures are amazing and he post them on his website.

Mr. B is honestly the greatest biology teacher ever. He really cares that you know the material. He has hard tests and studying is definitely required. He knows they're hard though and compensates. He's a fun guy, and he always tells you how to improve your answers and how to generally improve in the class. Could not recommend him enough

I loved Mr.B! I was able to get a good background on the basics of biology all thanks to him! He really cares about you, and your success and he's open to you anytime that you need help or if you need clarification on something. He is going to keep you busy bee throughout the quarter though!

I took this class twice unfortunately with different teachers I love his teaching style! However, in his class there was a group presentation and 2 bigger lab write ups that I didnt have to do in my other class. You get to grow peas though!
