very good prof
Can be a little abrasive at times in class when remedial questions are asked (ie-something you should know). But lets it be known he's more than willing to help you outside class. Good all around guy, very thurough, kind of nerdy but who cares.
He is very helpful in and outside of class. Homework is not required but he gives it anyway in case you are not sure how to do it. Just pay attention in class and you will pass.
he is very tricky in his tests. about 50% of the topic not covered in lecture but he test you without going over it in class.I had always been an excellent student in maths until I took his pre-calculus class. I struggled all through semester to get a c. he might be a nice person but bad teacher

My experience in his pre-cal was the exact opposite of the other poster. Very helpful, very thurough. Do the homework and you'll be fine. Slack and you won't. I hadn't had college math in 9 years, I got a B.
great professor
unfair teacher, test 50% on lecture and 50% on some other things not even covered in class. no patient to explain to students. sometimes he calls us stupid because we don't understand what he means. Definitely not take him.
I took him and thought he was really good. Good energy and always trying to get the class to interact. His tests are hard but he goes over everything and tells you exactly what is going to be on the test. He does get mad at people who shouldnt be in the class but allthey did was ask stupid things and slow us down. hes good but no easy A.

He is a good teacher, but moody.
The irritating thing is after he explains, he asks do you get it? I, and everyone also, stay quiet in case someone does have a ques. But, he looks at each of us and sarcastically says, "you can move your head up and down if yes, or side to side, if no." He moves his head also. A kid asked if its "teaching by humiliation." He continued to do it alot
Doesn't make you do the homework but you should. Let's you know what's on the test before you take it. Only thing I don't like is that he is real big on definitions.

I passes the class, but didn't really gain anything. He didn't seem like he even wanted to be there half the time. Not very helpful with questions either. Decide for yourself, but I wouldn't take him again.
He is not very good on his people skills; often uses foul language and puts the class down for not understanding math the way he does! never saw, met or spoke with dude. bought the book but never opened it, got a B. his notes ended at chapter 6, nothing for chapters 7 and 8, got some tutoring no problemo.
I dont know who those last semester people took but this professor is awesome. He is very detailed in his lecture and very easy exams. You do have to show up though every day since you do alot a day. Nice teacher never heard him use foul language so idk why people try to hate on him or anything. Must Take for Math very informative.
Pretty alright teacher. If you are a struggler in math only take him if you have to. He's not bad or anything, just not great. There are definitely better teachers.

I don't know where that previous poster is from but Im in Mr. C's calc class this semester. He may be kind of wierd, but his tests are so easy its cake. He gives us two practice test for every test that are just like the test and tells us exactly how to write the ansers. I have an A and hardly to sh*t.
I think Mr. Cunningham himself wrote that last comment. How can a class be easy when there are only 3 students left!!! He is not easy and his practice exams are way easier than the real thing!
Mr. Cunningham is a pretty good teacher especially if you need to have math worked out step by step. Every test has a review which is almost the same as the test. Absences are not a big issue, but if your not good at math i suggest going to class.
He is NOT a good professor at all! I study for two hours every three days a week outside of class and still failed because of the grading. I knew all the material! I don't recommend him at all, I was a A and B student until I took his class.

Oh my gosh! Ive never taken an easier math class! He is sooo good at explaining step by step. He gives quizzes which are counted as extra credit on major exams, gives reviews(Ive never had math teacher do that) and he drops the lowest test score! Hello!
Prof. Cunningham is byfar one of the best math teachers at Sac. If math is not your subject I highly advise you not to take him but on the other hand if you love math or math is your major this man is your teacher. I promise you that the first day you enter and that last day you leave you'll noticed that you really did learn a lot.
I hate Math, but he was so easy in 0302. All Practice Exams are on his notes. Just study the Practice tests and you'll do fine. Only 12 problems each exam, which there are 4. Assigns homework, but only odd #'s to check answers in the book.
I Recommend him & will take him next chance I get. Professor gives you step by step instruction on how to solve a problem,then he references it several times during a semester. On his tests you earn points in stead of loosing them like in other classes. He is kind,and patient. Math is his passion.
Mr. Cunningham gives good reviews before tests and explains things very well. Bring your book, attend class, and do the homework (he doesn't collect it) if you don’t quite understand something.
By far my favorite math teacher. His tests were easy and he always gave a pre test that was almost exactly like the real one. Do the homework, get a good grade.

this was a fairly good class i was passing all semester with a c ..i didnt really try...but the final burned me because it was only 12 questions
He makes the math intresting for certain. I have taken several math teachers in various curses an dfenitly he is one of the best ones. Doing the homework is up to you, you're gonna learn if so! his pre-tests are increadible useful, the real tests are like those. He is so easygoing. Take it and not regret! I promise
This class is easy. Grading is beautiful. He is not here to trick you. He's here to teach and test you what he teach. But don't mess with him when he has a bad day. Read the text before you ask him. He loves good student not smart (a#@)student.
Probably the easiest college algebra (precal track) professor at SAC. Generally a nice guy and his review handout before each test are in the same format as his test. If you can do all the material on his review handout before each test, the test will be a breeze.
He was very organized and set clear goals and standards to be met.
Very good teacher. AMAZING. I took his class online even though all my relatives thought I was crazy! I got an A. He's notes are well written. Wish he was teaching Math 0303 next semester.
Very helpful. Took internet course. Professor always promptly responded to emails and let you know what was expected of you. Work was assigned in a way that you were ready for the test, but not totally burnt out exhausted from doing homework.
very helpful and easy need text for this class and he lectures and thats very short and then he watches you do the homwork in class and once your finished you can leave and test are from all the examples ..very great teacher recommend him to all!!!
Mr. Cunningham is the most unfair professor I have ever had. If you miss one problem on the test, you somehow end up with a 60. I am a math major and made a C in his class. He puts questions on his tests that had nothing to do what we have learned or even talked about. We also had a sub more than we had him. DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!
Prof. Cunningham is a very good math teacher. I took his online class online in the Summer II semester. It was fast paced but easy because his notes were very helpful! He responded very promptly to e-mails and was always open to questions. Wish he was teaching Math 303.
I had Professor Cunningham for Math 0302 online. Since I never had any interaction with him personally, I can't really judge him as a person. But, from taking this class I know that I learned something. I noticed on my tests that are graded he writes notes if I get a question wrong or something. And as long as you study the review you'll get a 100!

He provides reviews for his 3 tests which are almost identical to the real tests. Master the reviews and you will master this class. I got an A, but I attended class everyday and did all the homework, but homework is optional and not graded. He can get a bit moody and unpatient at times, but he is very helpful and his lectures are clear.
Mr. C has a military background. Order! But he is very open to other ways to complete the problem & will show them to you. Do the homework, study the Practice Test and you'll get a great grade. 1 class u wont stress over...b sure to get that friends email Just in Case u need to go over a missed hw assignment.
He is really helpful & will take time to make sure you understand. In the class I was in we had a student ask the same questions, I was upset with her but Mr. C only ask that she wait till he was done showing how to do the problem then he would answer any questions. I am tacking him in the summer for 1325. He gives reviews that help a lot.
Pretty easy teacher. He usually starts a class with 10 min. or review (previous homework), 15 to 20 min new assignment, and then lets you do homework and helps you with it the rest of the class. He is pretty cool, but can be a jerk sometimes.
He is really laid back and down to earth. He is very easy to understand and he normally only takes up like 15-20 mins of class time. He gives problems out of the book but you can choose to do them or not. This guy is probably the best math teacher I've ever had.

I have great respect for this professor.I went to his office on 3 occasions throughout the 8 week course and he was always willing to help.He's approachable and easy to understand when explaining problems I was not understanding.Just study,tutor, and you will do fine.I'm not at all as good at math as i'd like, but I made it through the class.
Online class. Homework and Quizzes online were good. All online content multiple choice.Tests handwritten. Instructions not explained clearly. Got marked wrong for not erasing and for not putting fractions rather than 6.5, etc.Test grading unfair.
I took this class online and in an 8 week period.I passed.If I can do it u can certainly do it!Make an effort,study!Tutor!I was tutoring every week.Don't give up on Math.Prof C is helpful.U just need to do your part.He is a pleasant and helpful professor.Very approachable which always helps.

Do NOT take this class. Very impatient missed the 1st two weeks of the semester, has no patience he always seemed frustrated with students that couldn't understand. If you love math you'll do fine, anyone else find another professor >;/
He enjoys humiliating people. He always asks if you understood, but if you make a question he will answer with sarcasm. He should retire or at least be considered in the budget cut.
If taken over the internet, you will teach yourself this entire class, so I don't recommend if you are not a self starter. The instructor is not good at responding via email as he deems some emails "require no response," despite this being your only avenue of communication. I can't speak for his 'in-class' skills, but internet wise, not good.
VERY IMPATIENT!!! He does not help very much. If you do not understand he will answer under humiliation. He is eccentric and irrational. Sr. if you do not like to teach in a school, return to the military. In there you can scream and humiliate people.
Took him for Calculus. He's a great Professor and makes everything look so easy when you're in class. Interacts with the class a lot and lets you choose examples that he will work. Only problem is he doesn't give you much of a review for the tests so you have to study the homework real good.
i thought this guy was pretty straight forward and easy to understand, I dont know why everyone is saying he humiliates students, I didnt see that once. If you listen to him and do your homework (which he doesnt grade) than you will easily pass. Also I am very poor at math, so that says alot.

Totally cool teacher, must come to class or risk getting behind. As long as you review the chapters and do the hmwk that he doesn't check, you should get an easy A.
Took his online class - super easy. HW once a week, 10 questions, a few quizes, 2 tests and a final. Tests are maybe 15 questions. If you can learn from the tutorials - this is your class. If you need spoon feeding, get back into a classroom.
Terrible teacher, I have had professors who care about their students and will work the ins and outs of problems. He wont teach, he's as good of a teacher as a lawn statue.

Very poor professor doesn't teach in class and very rude. Claims that he is very helpful, that is a lie. Angry all the time and just doesn't make math fun. All around don't take this class.
I took this class ONLINE & FLEX. This class is super easy if you know how to follow a book and know what you are doing. It was a self taught class bc it was a ONLINE course. Follow the book, do your homework. Tests were 10questions. Gives reviews. Awesome Class! I will take another online class of his if I can!!
Took this class in Summer II, so there was tons of work in a short amount of time. Good Professor, give example exams. Expect to seek tutoring if your not familiar with Algebra. Overall he was helpful, and responsive.
Took this class one semester he is a really nice person but as a teacher he is a little bit unfair, his work is easy but he just gives class and thats it next day hell be giving a test with out expaining anything

This professor is all about form and nothing about what you learn. I will never take this professor again. He doesnt grade what you know he grades how you present it. He also is very vague and unhelpful. During class. If no one ask questions then the days before test days he will just leave.
He is a very hard teacher. Math is a hard subject to begin with, but he makes it ridiculous. He makes his own test so he can mess you up and trick you.

He is a very good teacher, he will take the time to explain IF you ask! Homeworks are short and simple, 4 tests and 1 final. The tests are about 20 questions and he gives great reviews! Take him!
dont take this professor, he has an attitude and rude, his tests are easy, but he's unfair the way he grades them. if you ever end up taking him, you can pretty much teach yourself online.
He is a good teacher. He doesnt like getting asked "dumb" question, you can say. But over all good. Most HW is on connect math and he lets you use Calculators on test. Very easy, just know your stuff ! 4 test and a final is all he does.
Great math professor! Explains and breaks down every problem really well making math simple. Gives practice tests that are identical to actual exam, showing each step to get the correct answer. He also reviews before every exam and drops your lowest test grade. Uses mymathlab for HW. Easy teacher for people who like neat and organized explanations.
Rude and has attitude. Tests are easy totally based on the reviews ,he is very unfair grader tho. He encourages you to ask questions and then puts you down in front of everyone. If he starts picking on you , he will continue doing it the whole semester . I won't take him again.
I like to ask questions to better understand and clarify my understanding of the problems. This professor is the worst math instructor i've ever taken. He wants the class to ask questions, but when you do ask he gets all frustrated and rude. Avoid taking!
Great teacher, although he did not look like his picture this summer. His tests were very straight forward, and he let us use a 3x5 card with notes.I strongly recommend this for identities.
If you want to be prepared for calculus, take someone else. This is a Mickey mouse class. He spent less than one lecture on trig identities and allows a cheat sheet on the trig tests. Do the MML, study his test reviews (which are nearly identical to the tests) and you'll get an A, but you won't learn much.
Test are identical to the reviews he gives you. If you want to pass the class do the reviews & study. On test 3, 4 & final he lets you use a 3x5 notecard. The only bad thing about him is he does not like dumb questions & can be extremely rude. He will make you look dumb in front of everyone if u dnt understand a certain topic. Hates sleepy people!
If you want to take a class where its up to you to pass, take this class. He makes it easy and i am not good at math at all. If you actually show up for class and listen, you will pass. I wish i could find him again for future math classes.
For his online class he is very confusing, not helpful at all, he also responds to emails in a rude way. When i asked to clarify on information on when and where to take my final exam his response was "Why would you ask that?" I would never take him again. and I don't recommend him to anyone.
Easy to follow class. Easy instructions. Do the homework and you will pass. Ive always struggled with math and I had no problem passing this course. Highly recommend
He mostly taught the problems from mymathlab. towards the end i skipped class and just taught myself using mymathlab. He watches attendance for the first few weeks then stops having you sign in. Lets you use note cards on tests, which help you now get a better grade but you leave the class not really learning too much.
Don't take him if you want to be ready for calculus. As someone said earlier "its a mickey mouse class". He has a bad attitude, and he gives you a couple of questions from mymathlab and Bye Bye. the rest you do it yourself. He is hard grader. He has no passion for teaching. I don't need that much math in my major, but if you do, don't take him.
I took his college algebra class. Work was easy. If I had a question he was short and seemed a little rude. Toward the end of the semester I had a few very important questions about my grade and he never got back to me, even after emailing several times.
Entire class is done in different platform and there is zero interaction with the teacher unless is it through email. Class is already set up and you just do the homework. The class itself isn't hard, homework due every Friday, 4 quizzes, final. Just not helpful, when questions were asked about the syllabus, he referred me back to the syllabus...
The class was not to hard for me. But if you truly want to pass, you need to pay close attention to what he wants done. It is hard to get a hold of him, so tutoring is maybe your best option if you need help in the class. If you can keep track of your homework you'll pass just fine.
Great math teacher! He teaches exactly what will be on the tests/homework and the reviews are almost identical to the tests. His tests and short and simple so they are easy if you do the review. I am bad at math and passed his class with a higher grade than I expected. Defiantly recommend him!
PRECALCULUS. cons:Skipped essential subjects for precal, identities proofs, hyperbola functions, unit vectors. His lectures are so short, I practically finished precal in less than 7 weeks and started going over calculus material,Pros:EASY A+, He provides practice test, SHOW YOUR WORK AS HE WANTS IT.,no attendance, able to use cheat note card.
Don't do it. You've been warned. Final is worth 40 percent and quiz are worth 20 percent.
Second attempt at this course with a different professor, solid choice. Sample tests are very similar to actual tests he gives which he lets you review. After the first test a 3x5 card is allowed for notes which is very useful. Material may be not as demanding to prepare for a follow on course, but at least you will likely pass for now.
Not as specific. Would ask him a question about a review he went over, and if i ask for example another question from the review he wont do it because its the same and he already went over one.
