He's a good guy, he's very helpful, very sarcastic, so watch out!

He's an awesome guy, a lot of fun and knows his stuff. The only problem is he takes for ever to get back to you if you have any questions. Other than that, get him for correspondence!

Pretty hands off with the internet section. Pretty funny though and does fantastic exam reviews so don't miss them!
i took him for an online course .... takes him forever to reply (just never does) you have to call him. There is no way to get an appointment with him so i had to ask some other prof for help. If you have a chioce dont take his course online!!!!!!
Do not email this Prof questions! I emailed him like a week before the final about some subject material I was unsure of and he never replied....and sure enough it was on the final!
Good guy, funny...but DOES NOT REPLY TO EMAILS!! I must have sent him 6 Emails before and after the FINAL and still waiting for a reply..lol Took his online course and asked him a question told me to email him..never got an answer...Exams are Scantron.
Great. I'm a fine arts major, and i was failing in the beginning, i went to see him and he moved the weight of my exam provided i proved i knew my stuff. textbook and myeconlab are INCREDIBLY helpful, read the text BEFORE his lectures because he summarizes and explains the key points. really nice funny guy, if you need help he makes it available.
The prof is amazing! His lectures are extremely helpful and he clarifies the textbook content, he gives you alot of notice b4 a test/quiz. His class is fun and he doesn't ramble, he gets to the point and teaches the stuff, if you ask him questions he dosn't hesitate and provides great examples and the T.A's are extremely helpful as well. GREAT PROF
Hes alright
Prof is not really interesting to listen to.....I never really understood what he was talking about. Textbook and My econ lab greatttt helpp.... He helped boost marks if you talk to him and show him improvement. Overall good prof if you read your material ahead of time. Always be on top of things. =)
Incredible prof. People who say the classes are boring only say it because econ is a dry subject. He makes it as interesting as possible though. Very nice, very helpful, very funny, very good public speaker, very clear on what the exam will consist of (all M/C). Awesome guy. Pretty darn hot too ;)
This guys is usless. You really don't need to attend class if you read the text and do all the tests. In his lectures 90% of the time he is reading from the text verbatim (he can't even think of his own examples!) He's boring! ...and whoever thinks he's hot is CRAZY. (He's not ugly but he's definetly NOT hot!) And it's true-he doesn't answer emails
He is the most rewarding prof ive had since beginning uni, such a real prof! You get your deserved grade
Pretty helpful. Tried as hard as he can to help whoever approached him. Encourages questions and discussions. Don't take any 1thousand level ECON course with anybody other than Steve Edwards.
Great guy overall - compared the other professors, he's the best one to have for ECON1000 (George G is also good too!) He does read off his slides and sometimes his class is boring... Well the majority of the time lol - but he still teaches what you need to know - attendance is not mandatory.. u can pretty much teach the course yourself. n hes cute
Econ is not my thing but I needed it for biz school. Steve helped me out a lot. He answeres questions thoroughly and is always around for help. It's boring material but he finds a way to keep people awake. Tough class to teach but he does a good job at explaining and reinforcing models with textbook. Great for people who don't know jack abour Econ.
Steve rocks! Yes sir!;)
I've had such a hard time with this prof! HE NEVER RESPONDS TO EMAILS!!! His online lab criteria of selecting best out of 2 and avging them out.. no other prof does that hes there to screw you over! I had asked him a million times to post the lecture slides and he doesn't until a week before exams! Don't recommend him
His classes are boring, skipped almost all of the lectures and learnt the course myself - he gives you the option to opt out your midterm mark into your final exam, which can be risky but it gives you a chance of getting a good final grade. Most profs don't do that - his quizzes are also online and he chooses the best 2 of 3. Good prof, just boring
Great teacher! Very informative and helpful.
There are other better profs, especially, George G. His class was easier. I got A in his class. I wouldn't have had A if I had not changed his class to George's one.
As long as you attend class you will be fine. Very clear in his lectures. Unlike other ECON profs he gives quizzes which help you boost your grade (open book).
The best thing to do in his class is to open the book and highlight all the things he says as he summarizes the chapter. He explains graphs very well. It is important not to miss any of his classes as it is a cumulative course where each chapter is linked to the next one. Overall a good professor as long as u can understand economics concepts.
such a great guy! gave him a dr's note for exam, takes it and then after exams done, he asks it wasnt hard right? i dont think any other prof would care that much as he does.
silver fox
one of the best! He's class is interesting. Exams are okay. He's also helpful!
He gives you a lot of opportunities to improve your mark. He's a really understanding prof. If you have to take this course , I'd recommend taking it with him.
He is a traditional lecturer, meaning he doesn't use powerpoint in lecture, he reads from the notes and like class participation. The reason why he is so liked is because he goves students second chances if they fail the first midterm. However, he teaches straight for 2 hours no bathroom breaks.
Great lecturer imo. He draws information outside of the course and applies it into concepts which was helpful. He was also open to any questions or concerns regarding course content/admin at the end of the class. Make sure to attend his class as he goes through materials that will only be tested on the exams. 5/5!
I read the chapter before class and learned nothing new while sitting in the lecture. He gives you the option to move the weighting of the midterm to the final if you didn't like your midterm mark. Generally easy class if you do the readings and not much harm done if you miss class
stick to the book. class is mandatory and he doesn't add anything new during his lectures
He is nice and I think he is a good professor. He makes the class interesting and also he provides lots of examples.
Theres really no point of going to his intro to economics classes, his lectures dont have any order, he just goes through random concepts with no sense of chronological order. I only went to one lecture and got an A
Prof is pretty cool. He's quite funny and a great teacher!
He is a good prof except he reads from his notes so it get kinda boring sometimes, of course the course is boring anyways so I dont think theres much he can do. He is very nice and understanding, his tests are fair. So overall he's good.
He is a very easy professor, and quite funny. The midterm and final exams were easy, IF YOU READ THE TEXTBOOK, or else you are finished. By the way, by read the book I mean EVERY page of the book that is covered in class.
his lectures are based solely on the textbook, but that does not mean you shouldnt attend lecture because he expands on each chapter and you findout and learn things on the way that you might have never thought of. hes a good professor but his lectures are boring he's quite a relaxed fellow but dont doze off in class or you'll miss out on a lot
The prof is quite nice and approachable, should you have any questions. However his lectures provide the exact same information as from the book, using the same wording and figures. Come to the lectures if you wish, but with this prof your best bet is to read the book and do the practice questions in the Study Guide (doesn't come with the book).
Typical lecturer, boring to listen... But still a good person and prof
This prof is so boring I feel like falling asleep. If you want a prof that is professional and knows what he's doing, you're looking at the wrong guy.
If you study the text book well and do all of the study guide questions, you should do fine in this course. I barely went to lecture and did well. Final was pretty tough though, it was 100 questions so you better understand the concepts.
His lectures are word-for-word identical to what you read in the book. In fact, even the figures he puts up on the projector are scans from the book. If you get this prof, just take notes from the textbook and study off of practice questions from the study guide or MyEconLab. Only go to the lectures if you have questions, otherwise, don't bother.
He's good! Very Nice prof, cares about his students' grades. bad/good thing.. finals is on the entire course outine!
great professor knows his stuff! his lectures are very clear. Don't need the book, use his power point slides and study the online practice questions and you will get an A
Read the textbook and make your own notes, then review your notes regularly. He gave 2 online quizzes to boost our marks. He gave the option to drop the midterm and transfer the grade to our final. Everything was multiple choice and every question came directly from the test bank. Buy the test bank off someone then midterm and exam are a joke
fun prof but I only attended 3 lectures because it was pointless. his lectures are the exact same stuff as the textbook. so just read the textbook and GET THE TEST BANK.
Makes class interesting, a lot of fun, always telling jokes, gives real life examples. A lot of textbook use! I suggest reading the textbook, looking at powepoints that he posts, and doing your own notes! Quizzes, midterm, and exam are fair!
loving him. He is a kind and interesting professor.
Doesn't know how to lecture or respond to emails. Skips half the material and finishes early. Avoid.
Read textbook every pages if you want get a good mark! He gave 2 online quizzes which can easily get almost full 20% mark. He gave the option to drop the midterm and transfer the grade to final, I did not do that so I regret it (I did better in final). Everything was multiple choice but very hard exam even I read whole book and did study guide.
Awesome professor. Very clear and concise. You don't really need to attend the class at all but follow the book. His slides are from the book, sometimes word by word. 2 online quizzes, those are easy marks. Very interesting class, and he makes it even more interesting. This coming from a Chemistry degree student...
Hard course and he just goes through textbook instead of focusing on the difficult concepts.
This prof is very good he teaches the exact material that you read in the book and elaborates on the main topics on each chapter so that you understand all the material All you need is the book for this course if you can remember all the major concepts from each chapter you can easily get an A or at least a B on the midterm and the final.
I found lectures boring. Everything you learn in lectures is in the textbook and MyEconLab. In the end I stopped going to lectures and used MyEconLab. You do 3 online quizzes, 3 in-class tests and a final exam... all multiple choice.!!
Great prof. I only attended the first class and never attended lecture after that. Read the book, do myeconlab, go over the study guide, and doing testbanks is a must. Midterms and final exam were at least 80% or more based on testbanks. Very easy course if you work hard as there is a lot of readings. However, AA+ is very attainable.
I only went to 2 classes and realized prof Edwards was a great professor. However attendance is useless, all you need is the textbook. Online quizzes are easy marks, and the tests and exam come straight from the test bank. It is important to understand however, 30% of the class fails & if you slack you will not pass. Would recommend him over others
He's not a bad professor, but he literally reads off of the textbook in lecture. You might as well just buy the book and show up for the tests. That being said he has a great personality and is welcoming to help. Sadly, with how dry the course material was in my opinion, I didn't dare show up. Read the books, practice on MyEconLab, and you're good.
On every test he will tell you not to choose C. I swear on my life I chose C on third of the test, and got 100. Not cool bro. Otherwise, straight up read the book and you will do fine.
Average Econ prof. Class is pretty optional and you can probably get an A+ without coming to class, although it will help consolidate information. Make sure to get ahold of some testbanks. Unlike other profs however, it doesn't seem like he will boost marks as easily
Every single question from the test is out of the testbank provided to him by the textbook company. Going to class is a colossal waste of time primarily because all he does is read the slides- which you can pretty much do at home. At the same time, you can just memorize all the answers to the testbank questions and not even look at the slides/text
One of the better profs I had this year. He is always there to help. I would love to take his class again. Do the test banks and you will do good in his class
His lectures always end 30-60 minutes early (without a break), but he doesn't curve grades at all.
one of the best professors
This class is a test bank class. Midterms and Final come word for word from the best bank which I highly recommend buying. No need to attend class, just memorize test bank. Prof comes off as tough but he's actually very caring and wants class to do well.
Great prof, clearly knows his stuff to the point he does not need powerpoints. He simply brings some pages of important notes and examples. This course to pass however it is essential to make use of myeconlab, and do practice quizzes. All exams, tests, and quizzes are multiple choice, and are based off them. Be sure to UNDERSTAND the material first.
ECON1000 is a test bank class. Just buy a test bank (or several) and memorize. Easy A. The microquizzes are all open book so do them in groups or with a friend. Don't go to the lectures. You'll just fall asleep. Waste of time.
Great professor, his tests are not hard. He does not choose hard questions to put on his tests. No need to attend his lectures, all you have to do is read the textbook. I ended up with an A and I only went to 2 lectures the whole semester
i didnt go to class because he was a bad prof but you can skip and just read the textbook and youll be fine
An okay teacher, don't really have to go to class to do well. We definitely got a bell curve at the end of the year which was nice. Overall he's decent but you'd probably be better off studying at home because his explanation is pretty much the textbook.
He read off the slides. If you read the textbook you will be fine. I would not recommend this course if you are looking for a bird course because you need to study a lot for the tests and final.
edwards is a very nice person & he's always ready to help u out. he's very clear & knows how to deliver material. the course is thought to be a bird course but it's really not lol ur gonna have to constantly study & keep up with the workload in order to do well - it's kinda like a typical math class. but yeah i do recommend taking it with edwards!
There are no powerpoints, he still uses an overhead. goes through the overhead slides way too quickly. Learning more from reading the textbook
good guy
He is very kind
Edward is an OK-ish prof. He doesnt teach much actually, just read off the slides but he is very nice and funny. most of hist test, or all of them are from the test bank so it's easy for you to prepare for the tests. attendance is not mandatory so its also a plus. would take him again.
Edward is a professional instructor, easy to understand as you follow classes. Easy tests, questions based on test bank. ( you probably can't access to test bank because it is not public ) However, if you go through all quizzes and quizeme you still can cover most of the questions on tests.
nice guy
He is a very good professor and I would honestly recommend him over the other ones in the Intro to Micro 1000/Macro 1010 Economics sections. He is straightforward and the exams have repeat questions through the Bi-Weekly Quiz's you must do. He keeps his Lectures light and entertaining! Overall would recommend!!
He seems like a nice and funny gentleman. However, his lectures were not really helpful since he just reads off the slides. I went to two lectures in the entire term. Test questions are straight forward and easy if you study. I highly recommend studying from the flextext and posted past midterms/exams. He is okayish in my opinion. Not the best.
Lectures are jargon absolutely no organization. Rest assured you will NEVER get a response from him. I highly suggest signing up for the EasyGrade Tutorials. If I hadnt attended, I would of failed. The final exam is worth almost 50% and its computer generated questions. I highly recommend you to avoid this prof if you can take it at Glendon do so.
super easy. just do the my lab assignments/quizzes and study from the tests he gives you on moodle and you're pretty much guaranteed an A.
