I cannot say enough great things about Fink! He is entusiastic, clear, and he encourages the class to ask questions. He is simply a great teacher. The tests are intense, but do the readings, ask questions and you'll be fine.

I'm a first year Bio Major and was reluctant to take such a informationally dense subject for the summer. Mr. Fink made the subject of Biology fun, fascinating and stimulating. I couldn't have asked for a better professor.

Prof. Fink is such a great instructor. He loves biology and he makes it easy for students to learn the material. He's helpful and super energetic. Defenitely would recommended to any one who has to take biology. You would love him. You can find his exams from anyone so it's easy to pass the class.

I would have to agree with the 1/3/07 rater. He is the best lecturer I've had. He can explain physio very well. But, he is just makes his exams too long, his standards for the essays are almost imposible to meet. He will lie to you about the dificulty. People pass around his old exams in class. Also arrogant and his memory is starting to go.

This is hard class but if you turn up and listen to what he is saying you can get a good grade. He doesn't try to trick you, confuse you at all. That's Physio in general. GREAT teaching ability, explains very very well, REALLY helpful, yes lots of exams and tests but you end up learning which is why you took the class. Best teacher I EVER had.

Professor Fink is the best teacher you can imagine for teaching such a hard subject as anatomy. He makes all the chapters so easy and understandable. It's not fair some people are writing that he's favoring certain people. He treats all the students the same. His posting of exams was helpful for understanding the material for the students.

Those people with his exams are plain stupid. Prof Fink shouldnt care. Because When they get into the program they want, they wont do good THEY WILL FAIL.But those that do actually take Fink seriously and want to learn and make and effort will succeed.So dont sweat it Prof Fink. his notes are a litte out of wack, he is what they say. GooD. alot of memorization he will give you hints on what to study. you must study and attend the class on time

Grate Prof. Explained everything so that it was easy to understand. Dropped the lowest test score. Long midterm and final. If you attend every class and pay attention you will get an A. You don't even need the textbook for the class just his lecture notes!

Lots of people didn't gel very well with him because he refuses to babysit & demands you be an adult & proactive about your education. Don't ask stupid questions! Lecture outline is a must! Lab book is also useful, Text book not so much. This class is not an easy class but if you pay attention and study its not that bad. He loves to teach and it shows. I had him for Bio last Fall and I am planning to take Physio with him as well.

Prof. Fink is a must if you never liked biology before, or just had problems with bio. I took it with a horrible teacher last semester, (the name i wouldnt use) but the teacher taught right out of the book and was no help. Fink keeps you into the class with his sound effects and enthusiasm.

The best teacher on earth! I am a health science major and he helps anyone succeed! Writes the lecture outlines for bio,anatomy and physio. He is very knowledgeable and easy to approach at any time! Just study! no one wants an average nurse or doctor to take care of them and he prepares you fully. That's why people come from all over to take him!

Fink doesn't assign nor grade homework so all points earned towards letter-grade is via exams. Assigned homework would help the student learn and lessens the impact a sub-par exam grade has on your overall grade. No homework to grade and Scantrons for exams means less work for him. His animated behavior during lectures gets tiring and repetitious.

This was the most interesting class I have ever taken! He made the class very tangible by adding lots of good and relevant antidotes. He is an amazing teacher! I wish he could teach all my science courses... and religion, and philosophy and math...ect.ect. great guy!

Professor Fink, Professor Fink. He'll make you laugh, he'll make you think. He makes drawings on the board, old-school style, no power points (a plus)! I spent $200 on a text book I never used. His lecture notes and his website are all you need. I recommend re-reading notes after class. His SUPER study guides take longer than you think, allow time.

The best professor who can have for biology. The class is hard but if you study and go to class you'll be fine but when test time comes make sure to study a week or 2 before the exam. The exams are not easy at all. if you're looking for a easy professor he is not.

Tests are long and tough! Lab and lecture grades have equal weight. Only 3 exams(lab+lec) so 6 grades which means A LOT of material for each exam and if you mess up more than one, your overall grade will suffer(he drops lowest.)The final is cumulative. The positive: bec he's such a great teacher, you'll learn a tremendous amount!

Do not recommend this guy to any student. too much material getting student confused. 3 textbooks and his unlimited website. He doesn't care about students at all but his fame on youtube. Professor is an honest, blunt, and interesting character. His Anatomy course was one of the most challenging classes but he always made it interesting. He always reminded us of the competition out there..he really cares about students

Excellent professor! Physiology is the hardest of all prerequisites but he has a lecture manual that will really help the students understand the lecture. The manual plus the book and youtube videos are helpful and at the end of the course, you will fully grasp the concept of the subject. Physiology is hard but he made it interesting and fun!

Great professor...he made me understand a subject with minimum effort...after his lectures and a couple hours a week of study I was able to excel the class ...he make a subject interesting in planning to take him in physiology too...

Very smart instructor, but he is VERY tuff. Make sure you've taken BIO or you won't hear the end of it. Spelling is a must (or wrong) & tests are fill in the blank + MC. Some multiple choice quest have 20 possibilities! He'll say "study my lecture outline", but won't pin-point what to concentrate on. VERY FRUSTRATING class.

Hard subject no matter what. So much info to learn. Follow 18 study guides/lecture outline/no text needed. 3 MC exams (drops lowest)/1 lab/1 final. Lectures very clear and thorough. One of the best teachers for sure. Only negative is I felt a bit rushed on tests. He gave a little extra time but not always enough.

Hands down the best professor i have ever had. I have graduated from UCLA and none of the teachers i've had before even come close to how good this man is. His tests can be tricky at times, but if you do your part by studying hard then there is no reason why you shouldn't get an A. I highly recommend him to anyone. Trust me, you will not regret it.

I attended UCLA yrs ago & Fink is one of the best profs I've had since then. Some may view him as pompous/intimidating, but he is just exceptionally passionate about Physio! I enjoyed how he often incorporated the clinical aspects of the topics throughout his lectures. Go to class, take good notes, UNDERSTAND the study guides & EARN your "A".

Well, it's true. He will pick some favorite students. His lecture is really good, but you will notice clearly that he helps more some students that he likes. He starts the semester trying to make you drop out, saying that Physio should be the last course you take. Hard exams.

I am really glad I took Professor Fink. He is definitely trying to make sure we learn the material. He gives you tricks that you can use to memorize certain things. Out of 6 lec and lab exams he drops the lowest one. I haven't seen my grade yet but I feel pretty confident that I passed the class. I plan on taking him again!

Professor Fink knows his stuff. A bit too much. His ego gets in the way of his lectures but his explanations are flawless. He zips through a lot of material so be prepared to reteach yourself what he covers. Just read your books and u'll get a passing grade. Buy a recorder if you cant handle a full class of material thrown at you.

I originally tried to get into his physio class (I've taken micro and anat), but he wouldn't let me without taking bio, so I took him. Annoying setback, but VERY HELPFUL. He was REALLY good. A little arrogant, but a wonderful teacher. Crystal clear. I got a B, but could have done better.

Bar none, best teacher I've ever had. He literally tells you everything that'll be on the exam, as he prints his own textbook. He's incredibly passionate, and interesting to listen to. An amazing teacher! He takes a hard subject and makes it understandable. But as he will remind you countless times, Bio isn't for the weak. It's a lot of studying and memorizing to get an A on his 100+ question exams & they do get harder as class progresses. As he recommends: if you are looking for an easy class take geology, geography, or anthro.

I got C's in Calc from a Stanford honors prof, but I knew I could get A's wherever I went- much better than the class I'm in now with a 25q quiz, get an A and don't know a thing. these classes are hard, theres no way around that. I found Fink to be the best teacher i have ever had, his resources are helpful. I honestly rarely used his textbooks for studying, I basically studied from his study guides and youtube lectures. Just Study & you will pass :)

dope teacher - lectures are crystal clear and his tests aren't even really that hard. Sometimes he does this thing where he'll get really into whatever hes talking about and he can really make you just as enthusiastic as he is - its contagious really. Definitely taking him for anatomy in the spring BTW Studying is mandatory and watch his utube vidS

Fink made sure we grasped the concepts, sans tricks. Best ever!

He's knowledgable, experienced, and knows his stuff. But Physiology is a really challenging subject. When on the first day of the class he says you must have taken all the classes related to Physiobefore, he's completely right about it! You have to know all the Biol basics to understand this subject thoroughly. I didn't and I failed the class :(

Best Bio professor ever! I've taken prof Mirmovitch and almost fell asleep during her lectures. Watch his videos, they are exactly like the class, but they're very helpful! He's hilarious and makes learning fun! You need the book, don't rely on reading it and listening to his lecture; write down what he says, watch his videos. 100+ question exam.

Fink is pretty cool. I took A and B concurrently. His lectures are avail online, almost verbatim. The book is really good, I didn't open it till halfway through the class, and I regret it. His study-guide has everything but, really, the book helps. You have to understand the concepts cause the tests won't be simple rewording of the book OR lecture.

Dr. Fink is excellent. I grew in knowledge and curiosity during his biology course. He prefaces lectures by asking if there are questions. If he feels a question will derail his lectures, he will briefly answer, say he does not want to go into such depth, and offer to go into more depth after class, to ensure he covers all of his lecture material.

Never, in all my years as a student, have I met a professor as enthusiastic, passionate and talented as Prof. Fink. And I went to UCLA. In fact, most of my profs from WLAC have been fantastic. You are making a big mistake taking ANY other professor ESPECIALLY for anatomy. Fink is straight forward, clear and hilarious. He is amazing and has his own lecture outline. In addition, for all you students, remember that it IS college and it IS anatomy so if YOU want the A, you MUST put in the time or you will fail miserably. The best in the biz.

Professor Fink is great. He really wants his students to understand the material and tries to keep things as interesting as possible. he has created his own class manual that is the main source of material and has his lectures posted online. This is not an easy course and you will be expected to work hard but it was worth it.

He's an amazing professor, but I had to drop the class because it was too fast-paced (summer session). Take him during the fall or spring sessions, but not for a 6-week course!!!

His classes are tough because they are tough subjects. Fink makes them easier though because of his great lectures. He has his lectures down perfect so that they are clear. His examples are the best. His lecture outline is amazing. Whatever he lectures on is fair game. No surprises. He lets you know what to expect. Best teacher I've ever had.

Took spring '16. Anatomy was hard, received an A and although i could've probably got the same grade with another prof. I felt like Fink really made me understand the subject which is very important to me. He's not very approachable but learned a lot! Grade is based on tests only.

I am so in love with the way Mr. fink teaches. I watch his YouTube lectures religiously and it doesn't feel like a chore- it's fun! Though I've watched the anatomy and physio lectures, the material has helped me immensely in micro and bio as well. I cannot express enough gratitude for this man. His students are so lucky that he teaches with clarity

this professor is the best! He gives great examples he is funny and makes the lectures understandable. He is one of the few who actually takes his time to explain the material rather than just handing you notes and figuring it out on your own. AND his lectures are on YouTube!! And because of that I THANK HIM I was able to pass my class A&P2 in TX.

Dedicated, well prepared, and informative. You need to work hard and put in the effort to study. Take advantage of the open labs! Lots of online resources including his lectures. Tests only, no papers, or extra credit, class participation is important.

Professor Fink's class was a great experience. Even though it started at 930am, and I would work until midnight or later the night prior, his enthusiasm and humor kept me wide awake. His lectures are very well organized and his online videos are incredibly helpful. You will have to work for the grade, but it's sciences after all. Great professor!

Superb professer

Great professor, nice lecture.

Professor Fink cares about his students a lot. His lectures are easy to follow as he's very repetitive on items you need to know. He also adds videos in with his lectures to keep you engaged. He likes to make jokes and he is a very understanding professor. His midterms and finals are difficult though, so make sure to study hard for those!

Professor Fink is a great professor. Not very approachable though and have difficult tests. Struggled a little bit with the subject because it is"test" based only. His videos and lecture outline are the best, you just have to study. Make sure to give extra time and you will get the grade that you want.

Professor Fink is the best professor at WLAC! It's the first time I feel that I truly deserve my grade because there was no extra credit. I also want to point out that you don't even have to read the book. I learned everything from his youtube lectures. Please don't give him low scores because you're lazy. It's healthcare, you need to know stuff!

Loved Professor Fink. His lectures were very engaging and informative. I work in the ER and everything he taught in Physio is very applicable to the clinical field. Love being able to understand the workups on patients and the values on labs and radiology reports. Definitely have to put the work in for your grade, but well worth the time and effort

Anatomy is a VERY rigorous subject! It is demanding and time consuming so be PREPARED TO WORK!! However, prof. Finks lectures were so clear and intriguing that it made the workload easy to understand. He is friendly, approachable and professional. I thoroughly enjoyed his class! If you really want to LEARN... hes the man!! A true gem.

Awesome lectures

Dr. Fink takes some very difficult topics in A&P and makes them abundantly understandable. He has a great dry wit as well. My #1 favorite professor in biological sciences.

I was worried about failing biology because of my history in high school i started looking at his lectures and doing notes and passed in college. He repeats things and uses diagrams to help you learn i love him

Professor Fink is the best physiology teacher. I've learned a lot through out all of his lectures.

he stresses over and over again the pre-recs needed for the course (Actually, only anatomy is required). knowing chem and biology helps but if youve taken them in hs youll be fine. Its pretty insulting and condescending and wastes a lot of time how he makes you feel if you didnt take them yet. Im a serious student -this makes me less motivated

I'm a nursing student in rural TN. My pharmacology instructors were BAD, so I resorted to teaching myself through YouTube videos. This man is the reason I passed pharm with an A. I bought his class notes and followed along with the YouTube lectures. I learned so much more from him than my "realworld" class. THANK YOU for making this class available

Physiology is really really hard, but professor Fink is really good at explaining the complicated concepts in a simple way. His lectures are all available online so you really don't need to go to class except on exam days. Your grade depends entirely on test scores, so study A LOT! His study guides are extremely helpful.

His lecture is long, but it's so interesting. I never get bored listening to his lecture. A lot of memorizing so you can't just study one day before a test. The questions are straight forward. If you know, you know. can't guess it. The study guides are provided and it helps a lot. 3 exams and the lowest one will be dropped. No extra credit.

He provides you with all the necessary resources that you will need to be successful in this class. His YouTube videos are extremely helpful and he is always looking forward to answering any of your questions.
