He is a great teacher! I really enjoyed his class. I am still taking his class at the time. He is very helpful and explains in full detail. I would recommend his class to anyone that struggles with math. Overall he is an awesome teacher. ;)

Class is awesome if you pay attention and actually participate in asking questions. If you just sit there expecting someone to spoon feed you, it's not going to happen. If you are active in learning, you will do perfectly fine in the class.

Professor Francis is a new teacher. he's always asking for feedback and ways to make the students lives easier to learn. He has lots of homework and always posts the answer keys on his own website which helps visual learners understand how the problems were worked. He won't baby u we are all adults he expects you to act as such. Study u will pass.

Cool guy. My homework was checked once for extra credit. Quizzes are extra credit. For the tests, he does super easy review problems and then takes the hardest questions from the homework/ quizzes. The extra credit helps and he sometimes curves. He tries to post the h/w ?'s from the book online, for people who don't have the book. Simple class.

He genuinely wants to see his students succeed and do well in the class. Pretty easy. He drops the lowest exam grade, quizzes and homework are extra credit. He'll stay after for extra help if you ask. He goes out of his way to help students.

He was seriously the best teacher I've ever had at valencia. He's super nice and helpful and isn't strict with tardiness or absence. I would reccomend him. Wish I could take him every semester!

This professor is a great guy. He helps out a lot and makes the class interesting. He has the trouble of dealing with both smart and dumb people at the same time, and does a great job of it, somehow.

I took him for college algebra, a class I had been dreading to take because I am TERRIBLE at math. Probably the best teacher I've had at Valencia. Doesn't require you to come to class. Homework is optional. Gives extra credit. Worked my butt off for an A. Awesome teacher, awesome guy. I strongly recommend him for anybody who has trouble with math.

He loves his job and you can definitely tell; makes each subject easy to comprehend and easy material.Gives out a lot of HW and Xtra-credit that not only makes it easy but helps your grades. Prof Francis is awesome! He gives you the tools you need to be successful. Attendance isn't mandatory, though if you struggle with math then you should show up to class. Held Saturday "Boot Camp" sessions that really help if you don't understand the material. Gave extra credit if you turn in the HW before each test.

One of my FAVORITE professors! I am a UCF student who took this at Valencia over the summer, best decision ever!! He has a quirky personality who will do anything to help you understand. Attendance isn't required but recommended for extra credit (LOTS of EC given). Easy A and really great guy who teaches material well.

As far as math professors go he's pretty cool. Everything he teaches is easy to comprehend and if it isn't he gives you links in his homeworks of videos to explain it further. All of your grades come from tests so homework is the main form of study but you don't have to turn them in. You use your book for onsite class homework, buy lots of paper.

He was amazing taught with a passion. If you have a weak foundation in Math you should take some remedial classes. Never moved to fast always asked before moving on.

He was a good teacher. Overall fairly easy. Specially with the final. You get to wear a white article of clothing and place whatever you want on it. I recommend him!

Francis was a really good and nice teacher. There was a total of 4 chapter test and one final. So 5 test total. Having the book is a must! He gives test review packets which help with the test. You must study to do good on the test. He also does not check homework but swears if you don't do the HW you wont pass the class. TAKE HIM

Very intelligent professor but goes pretty fast when teaching. Had a great personality and helps towants you to pass. Was pretty difficult for me at first because he is fast paced, but tutoring really helped. I would recommend him but if you're not a fast learner & won't have time for tutoring you may want to reconsider.

Very good teacher. If you have trouble with math (and actually care about your work) he is willing to help. Teaching is very clear. I would say this class is an easy A because there are so many opportunities to improve grade and tutoring, but it's not a give away class.

The best Math professor i've had. He treats you like an adult, in return he expects you to act like one. He doesn't deduct for missing class nor does he require you to submit homework. Your course grade is determined by your test scores. Its important to him that you understand the material, and he is happy to help you if you're struggling.

I took professor Francis for intermediate Algebra last semester and it was a great experience. Do all your homework and you will pass this course, plain and simple. Professor Francis is great at explaining how things work and gets the students involved. All homework, all quizzes and exams were all online, but lectures were important as well.

It is pretty easy, you are a college student and should be expected to be treated like one. You must know the material before class, that will help a lot. Other than that he is a great teacher and very helpful if you need him to be.

he's a really cool guy and a good professor. He stops and asks if everyone understands or needs anything re-explained. He likes when you ask questions and is always happy to answer them. He'll respond to questions you email him about and will help you if you need it. The tests are like the homework and he has notes online.

This was my first semester and I could not have been happier with this class. Super great teacher who knows how to get the whole class to a common understanding. A pretty easy math class. This was my last math and he made it enjoyable. Attendance is optional. Most kids would only show up for test day. He gives extra credit assignments, though, for those who do show up. One paper relating any of the concepts learned to real life. He's a funny, bubbly, optimistic dude. If i had to take more math I'd take him.

Also..... He lets you use one note card for the tests. There are no quizzes. HW is online and mandatory. Don't get the book. Has all notes on powerpoint that are helpful. I would print out the notes before class and use them to figure out what to put on my note card for the tests. We were allowed up to 2 attempts on the tests which really helped.

Mr Francis is a very fair teacher. All of the home work was done in WebAssign which is fairly easy to use after a little practice. He goes through problems step by step so and is a very easy teacher to get along with . Test's are not easy but as long as you put in the effort you should be fine.

Absolutely loved this professor. His outgoing and optimistic personality is refreshing. Homework is mandatory and if you study for test you shouldn't have any problems. He allows one note card for test and you receive two attempts to take it. Highly recommend Professor Francis!

He is a great teacher to have, tells great stories and does a great job explaining concepts. My only problem with the class is the fact that I had an 85 average on the tests, turned in all the homework and yet I still can barely get an A. He lets you take chapter tests twice, DO IT! you never know if you could get a better score a second time.

The tests are very hard, almost everyone failed the first one. He's a great professor but if you need a person who lectures it's not him. He likes to have the students teach each other.

Class was a breeeeeeeze. And I'm not even a math person. He doesn't grade anything himself, it's all on mymathlab, so pay attention in class & take notes! He makes sure to go over things and gives us time to work on them. Solid teacher, and a surprisingly cool guy. If you're going to take this class, take it with him. He's as patient as they come!

Prof. Francis is a great guy and a great professor. Goofy guy, but not over the top. His class is pretty easy as long as you keep up with your workbook and homework. His tests aren't too tough if you study. He's super approachable and knows his stuff. Overall great Prof.

Both books are required -- both a workbook ($13) and the online "StatLab" materials ($100). Sit by people who look smart - he will not give you any help if you miss class. He relies heavily on participation and group projects. He is a super funny guy, very pleasant, and gives tons of help in class. I have always failed math and got a B; he rocks!

All of the assignments were online, I would not slack on doing the homework because it really makes a difference when it comes to the tests on how to input your answers. Overall, he is a super chill professor that is easy to interact with so if you are confused, asking for help won't be hard.

The professor is pretty cool and if you need help just ask and he'll help you. He allows an index card to be brought to the test, most of the work is online, and the homework is a big help in preparation for the test.

He explains the course content very clearly. There is a lot of hands on work in the class, which helped me understand the material far more than I would've otherwise. He is EXTREMELY intelligent & super cool! DEFINITELY recommended for anyone that sees math as difficult!

I cannot express enough how caring he is as a teacher. He makes sure each student understands the content before proceeding to the next chapter. He is one of those funny/corny teachers but also very serious when needed. Its a fun environment but also a very tough one. Tests are hard, homework is hard, and you HAVE to study!! But he always helps!

Definitely a good choice! He takes his time and explains things so that everyone understands. He gives lots of practice in class, and with the online homework. Tests are straight forward from the chapter reviews. This was my first math class in over 10 years, and I didn't get below a 90 on any tests, and passed the class with a 95. A+++

Professor Francis is amazing! He will work with you to make sure you're understanding the information. He's interesting to listen to and extremely knowledgable! I'm not necessarily a math person, but I've taken his MGF1106 and 1107 classes now and received A's! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

He's a great professor that cares about his students, in class, he goes over the lecture for a few minutes and then the whole class works on examples the whole rest of the class 1105 You will have online homework 4 online quizzes and 4 test at the testing center that you are able to take twice and a final test at the end.

Professor Steve is a good choice for a subject like math. Prepare to work hard and spend time doing your homework. He makes the math clear, however dedication is the key.

I attended his hybrid class, I'm unaware of which is more of his teaching or just WebAssign itself. However, I never thought I would enjoy learning math but with this class I actually do! I feel 10x more confident in my ability to learn and perform math problems than I've ever experienced my whole life! I highly recommend hybrid classes.

Best math teacher i've had in the U.S. He is the type of teacher that makes you like math. He will explain everything very clearly and make sure people understand. He gives lots of homework, but if you're willing to do the work and really learn math than you will like this course

Professor Francis is a great professor and knows how to teach the material very well. My only gripe with the class is how fast-paced it is, so if you skip class you will be struggling a lot. He also gives a lot of hw, but its unlimited attempts, and he gives extra credit sometimes, and lets you bring a note card into tests and exams.

He is a good professor; however, the problem with him is his course platform. MyLab Math is the worst part of the course because you have 5 different topics each week combined with 20 exercise for each topic. Also, the platform feels old and confusing. The only good part of this course is that he gives extra credits to improve if you ask for it.

Best math prof ever! Amazing lecture, everything are well explained and he is always patient to answer all the questions we have.Worksheets are easy to understand and test questions are all being covered. To those who've said that he doesn't care if you learn, maybe you should try to start asking questions if there's something you don't understand.

!!!Disclaimer: only reason I put a lot of homework was because I took a 6 week course in which its a full semester condensed into those six weeks, so any 6 week class will be homework heavy!!! I'm bad at math but Professors Francis made learning more easier. The only thing I didn't really like is he would give a lot of homework on MyMathLab, the homework would be 20-30 questions and each question had 12 parts to it. You have to show up to class or else you will be lost because he teaches 2 lessons in one class period.

I really enjoyed Professor Francis. I'm really bad at math but his lectures helped me understand everything better. Super clear homework and test agendas. I like the routine with this class because there's never any surprises with what's due when. Taking the tests and quizzes were kind of a drag because they're long but overall loved this class.

Steve is a fairly good professor and my only gripes with him comes from the rare misinformation that, while accidental, caused me to miss a test. I did later get him to reopen it though. Also he falls into the teacher trap of never telling you what is wrong with your work and expecting you to figure it out yourself. Besides that he's very good

He explains things so well that when we had a sub on a few occasions I was totally lost. He has class then homework due two days later for the whole semester but the homework is SO easy if you pay attention in class and take notes along with him. He does do "board work" tho (you stand up and write on a white board) with the rest of the class.

This class is very test heavy but he lets you take the tests online with open notes but midterm and finals are face to face so take good notes. If you have no prior knowledge, this professor is okay since some students found him difficult, I didn't. Overall he is good!

I took his online class and he was very helpful! He uses Honorlock but it's not very strict so it was nice for me because there was always a lot of background noise in my house. There were a lot of extra credit opportunities and the easiest was a video introducing yourself. He also offered a lot of help throughout the class.

Prof. Francis is very approachable and encourages cooperation among classmates. There are about two pages of homework and one page of notes due every week. Grades are HEAVILY dependent on the tests which can be difficult, however he allows a cheat sheet and a makeup test in place of an exam. He's lenient on late assignments.

He teaches math in a way everyone should understand. He is fun but forget about extra credit. Also the midterm and final makes up 50% of your grade, so study well for them. He gives three quizzes previous to each test which really help out as the test is basically the 4th quiz. Overall he is a great professor that really teaches math well.

This professor was Great! His weekly assignments include videos of someone working out problems and going through each question for notes. He gives practice tests before the midterm and final that is very similar to each so if you go over the practice you should be fine on the tests. The course load was fairly heavy but not hard.
