Good lectures on goal-setting and being a great person.
He's good!
great teacher. has us doing this scavenger hunt to make himself look better LOL
Nice professor, and makes funny jokes. Outlines very well what will happen on the course.
rating him for the scavenger hunt, a good teacher overall. funny yet teaches in an effective way.
hes good i like him
Our professor is very funing men.And he will answer the question for every student. His is a good profeeor in our opinion.
WOW -love the class
He's cool... very good prof for lectures i guess..
Very friendly
Oh man, I think this prof really want to ace us on the final exam! 80 mcs, 6 short answers and 2 essays to be done within two and half hours? Phew, even for my Gr.12 Biology final exam, it took us about two hours to do 85 mcs! Also he is a really changeable prof, he can change his plan anytime he wants, sometimes it is so hard to even follow him..
sick teacher...the guys a joker...buh teaches very good and tells you everythin u have to know about the courses..uses the blackboard effectively...solid prof...respect....
He is brilliant. In his first year as a professor, he is likely the best professor at Ryerson!
He is an amazing prof. Tells you exaclty what he wants from you and if u follow that you are gonna ace his class. Funny guy too and is very understanding. there might be a lot of assignments and quizes but they are all there to help you improve your mark. So dont **** about it. only thing was we barely touched the book.

Probably the best Profs on the planet. Has every quality a student would want in a professor.
Steven is an awesome prof! Ryerson needs to invest in more quality teachers..like Steven! He wants you to do well.
Good Prof, knows his stuff. He's had a lot of experience in the field. I found him bit annoying after a while, but if you do everything right in the course (study for the sam quizzes, keep up with the little assignments, read the material), it's an easy A. Be prepared for a lot of guest speakers. Good class.
Gedeon is one of the best prof @ Rye. He has a passion for teaching and he wants u to do well. He knows his stuff and he knows how to deliver u his knowledge. There's a lot of work in this course but Gedeon is an easy marker. If u do everything u're required to do, u'll get a good mark. He is a highly recommended prof for BUS800.
AWESOME PROF - is the most helpful guy ever!! if your doing bad go and talk to him he will help you out sooo much to help you get an awesome grade. Really good teacher - take him.
the best prof i had for ITM so far...so helpfull and all u need to do as he asks u to. Follow the instructions he tells u to and trust me it will give u an A+.esp those assignment might be tedious but they shot my marks high up in the air. and he is also really helpful and he is jsut great
Hands down one of the best prof's I have ever had. He expects alot from you in terms of work, but will do anything to help you with understanding concepts. He's funny and delivers the material well. If Ryerson had 1/2 a brain they would let him design the BUS800 course next year. He makes a hard class enjoyable!! HIGHLY RECOMENDED!!!
He's an entertainer in class that's for sure, his explanations clear. A pretty hard marker though, I find it subjective- we find out after assignments what he was looking for when grading.
Not an easy prof, but that is probably the BEST thing for a grad. If you want to learn about being an excellent performer in the business world, take Gedeon. People who close-mindedly complain are guaranteed to be average performers in business. Take his views on life with a grain of salt. He's everything you would expect in a CEO, good and bad
Nice teacher in all, very entertaining and instructive. Gives alot of details about his CEO days in the past and has alot of background in real world situations. Looked in alot of Grammer and spelling, but in the end, he wanted u to be clear and to the point with the cases. Is an ok dude and very helpful and understanding person! I recommend him!
By far my favourite prof at ryerson. His classes were hilarious and fun to attend, he shares a lot of his past experience, he is a very smart man. Doesn't nit-pick the little things. And he is a fair marker - he expects you to tell him something. Take him if you are actually interested in getting something out of the course. He will deliver.
For those students who actually want to benefit from an education, Gedeon is an excellent prof. He cares about your growth as an individual and wants to help you build those life skills that will most benefit you in your careers. THAT is why he hounds people about grammar, clarity, presentation skills, etc.
There is no other professor like him at Ryerson. A true visionary leader. He has been at Ryerson for a short time but has done so much for the Entrepreneurship program its mind blowing. He is very critical when giving feedback, definitely not a yes man but one who wishes to impart his experience and know hows to his student. One who cares about us!
What can I say? This man will a) make you a better business person, b)encourage you to improve yourself on all fronts, c) provide you with honest feedback because he respects you enough to do so, and d) develop your leadership and problem solving skills.
i understand why he's tough because in it's cut-throat in the business world and he's preparing us for that. however, steve needs to learn to have more of an open mind; it's patently obvious that he believes his views are always absolutely correct and no other answer is acceptable.
Very real and down to earth guy. Put in the hard work and effort and he'll reward it but give him garbage and he'll fail you. Very flexible with course material and allows you to prove your point . Overall great class, I wish I could have him again as a prof.
I meant to leave this rating a while ago in 1st year, but never got to. He is quite possibly the most understanding prof I have ever had at Ryerson in my 4 years. He made me want to switch into business from ITM. That being said, he is so easy to talk to inside his office and is extremely helpful if you are professional about your matters at hand.
He's a pretty good professor, as long as you work hard, and make sure you make no grammar mistakes in you project, proof read it, and make it look pretty, you'll be good
He is a very rude and condescending man. Because his tiny office is plastered with awards he thinks he can talk to you in a derrogatory manner. Heaven forbid English is your 2nd language! I felt sorry for those students. interesting course, terrible professor.
Very rude and sarcastic professor and does not seem to respect students. That being said, I did learn a lot but only because I watched his online videos from last year -he expects you to. Stressful environment and he goes out of his way to make you feel stupid and uneducated. Is very unclear in explaining what he wants -then penalizes you for it.
Extremely critical, lame attempts at humor, condescending, rude, only focuses on people he likes and just unbearable to be around. I think I covered all the bases.
Dr. Gedeon is hands down the BEST professor I've ever had. He teaches ACADEMIA but most importantly he instills LIFE LESSONS & GOOD HABITS. His lectures are intriguing & he speaks with an articulation and clarity. He's the sort of prof that encourages questions and marks your work with the clear intention of wanting his students to improve.
Gedeon is one of the best professors I've ever had. He is filled with bubbly humor and it is very evident that he genuinely wants to see his students succeed. Granted, he is a no-nonsense kind of guy; but this means that he will polish his students until they shine. Thank you for making my university experience that much more meaningful.
Really great prof, and really great guy, too!
The best professor you will ever meet if you are truly fortunate enough. Extremely knowledgable and extremely engaging, bringing many life examples to make understanding of the course really easy.
Amazing professor. I learned more than expected. Dr Steven Gedeon if you see this thank you for everything you have done for me on a personal and professional level.
Steve Gedeon is BY FAR, theBEST possible professor EVER. No kidding, he cares so much about the students he's not just there for a grade and getting out, he wants you to succeed at LIFE, and what he teaches is very important and you will LOVE him, INCREDIBLY motivating and a lifelong inspiration that guy is! You ROCK STEVIE G!
Great Professor for entrepreneurship.
By far the BEST ENT Prof
Steve is a phenomenal professor that truly cares about this students. He does what profs are suppose to do. Change student's lives through education.
STEVE GEDEON IS A GREAT PROFESSOR!!!
Steve has been one of the few professors that has actually changed my life. I have had him for 3 classes and I can say he made my Ryerson career. If you're looking for a bird course, like Jay Z, on to the next one. If you actually want to learn about business, entrepreneurship and developing yourself as a professional, Steve is your man!
THEEEE BEST!!
Steve Gedeon will change your life. He is perhaps the most engaging and punctilious professor in North America. No one will challenge you to push your own limits like this! Please prepare to work your ass off. If you want to grow as a person, take Steve Gedeon's class. If you want to be a global player, take Steve Gedeon's class. Change the world.
Many moons ago, I met Professor Gedeon in the hallway and asked him about entrepreneurship. First thing he says: "How can I make your dreams reality?" Few professors care so much about developing their students. By far, the best!
At first he gives you the impression of being an easy prof but his lack of care for the actual assignments and requirements makes it hard for the students to know what to do exactly. There's a lot of confusion amongst the people who designed the course, so the marking scheme is all over the place.
Steven is not easy, and he is not clear. He is very "real" in that his criticism is cold and quick. It's best to appear confident and STAY QUIET. In Steve's class, not all questions are good. Actually, the vast majority of questions will be met with horrid, abject retorts. BONUS: Base all your assignments on his assorted work. He'll love you.
Professor Gedeon is a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic professor. To do well in this class do your assignments ahead of time and plan early with good use of time. You put in the effort you will get the grades you deserve. As for the final exam it is a standardized exam so just study the textbook and stay up to date with readings :)
Steven Gedeon is a very knowledgeable individual, however he does not transfer any of that knowledge to his students. He is extremely laid back, and when the time comes for assignments, doesn't answer questions about anything, and just tells you to figure it out for yourself. He transferred due dates around like crazy. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!
You will come into 56 hating him, and leaving 78 loving him. He is an amazing professor.
Steve is not the professor you take if you're expecting to just read a textbook. He's the type of professor that will challenge you and make you into a way better person than when you started his class and will teach you life lessons. He is super caring of his students, will go above and beyond and is completely available outside of class. AMAZING.
Steve is incredibly condescending and rude when dealing with his students. He makes you feel like your a grain of sand on the beach, helpless. His arrogance comes off in a rude way, and someone with this much knowledge should be happy and passionate to be teaching the new generations. I wish the best for Steve however I waisted my last 4 years.
I have a feeling that this will get deleted but Steve's teaching style is among the worst I've ever experienced at Ryerson. He makes you feel stupid if you ask him questions and the way he speaks is very condescending. He'll tell you right off the bat that he won't reply to your emails and I just got a bad attitude from him. I would say more...
Steve will push you to grow in a way that no professor does. The reason so many people complain about him is because they havent been out in the real world. Once you get out into the real world, you realize that Steve was only giving you a simulation of what life is really like. A complainer in Steves class is a complainer in the workforce too.
Professor is one that is brutally honest with his students. This is often a hard pill for most students to swallow, but he is trying to better each student through the points he makes. You will improve your life after taking his course if you stick till the end. The first 2-3 weeks you'll hate his guts, but he tells you the harsh realities of life
I have not one good thing to say about this professor and this course. An absolute nightmare. Assignment outlines are vague; he does not explain anything outside class; he is the toughest grader. The course does not even teach you anything useful (it's a personal development course for entrepreneurs). Avoid it at all costs. 80% dropped the course
This professor has the biggest ego. He is a business teacher and entrepreneur and probably makes millions but his whole lectures are based on him telling you how successful he is and that you should listen to him because he "knows" what success is and your marks are based on how tell him how much he has changed and helped your life.
An extremely arrogant and entitled professor that doesn't allow students to feel comfortable in class. He pushes students out of the way because he doesn't want us to get close to him. Way to inspire the next generation :) !!!
A lot of students don't like Steve as he comes off as arrogant/uncaring, but once u realize that he's just trying to prepare you for the real world, you kind of gain some respect for him. The course requires a LOT of effort, so if ur not willing to put in the work - expect a bad mark. He sees the ppl who acc try, and equally gives them a good grade
Other students complaining about this prof just struggle to face reality. Yes, the way Steve talks is a bit brutally honest, however he deeply cares for all his students and tries his best to set them up for success. The saving grace of TRSM, hope more profs take on his teaching approach.
ENT101 is the easiest course you can have in first year business. the class is very useless however. he doesn't teach at all, you have to complete and teach yourself through the modules he provides. the assignments he assigns are very easy. also no exam in this class.
The profs for this course treat you like a high school student with attendance. Respectfully, I found lectures to be useless, especially if commuting: 45 minutes of nothing. Graded on a lot, it is easy to get 100 on everything as long as you manage your time. His instructions need improvement: the criteria/rubric lacks clarity and specification.
Gives great tips not just for entrepreneurship, but also for life. sometimes the classes get boring because he repeats himself too much. he doesn't grade ur assignments or anything; so the lectures are just there honestly. the rest is on you
Very easy class, you don't have to try that hard to get a good mark. Go to both lectures, because they are worth attendance marks. Beware they are pretty useless, but sitting there gets you a higher grade. Unclear grading instructions, because this was the first year the class was ever run, so I'm sure it will be better as years go on.
He takes attendance for useless 1 hour classes where he pushes his political agenda.
He lacks clarity for his assignments his 1 hour lectures are boring and uninspiring and his shiny head is very distractful
Although his assignment instructions are very vague, ENT101 will be an easy class once you get clarification. Steve is a good professor that engages students in his lectures.
His lectures were just long
Steve G was great. His teaching style was really nice as he kept the students engaged during the lectures. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that he made attendance mandatory. I think he's a great professor!
Assignments are easy, but the extensive storylines & quizzes unnecessarily take so much time, making them disproportionately difficult. Many of us struggle for days to complete a single quiz, despite studying the module. While other course quizzes take 1-2 hours max, this demands a minimum 2-3 days. Prof, if you see this, please consider changing.
His lectures have been my favourite alongside GMS in all of first year. Highly recommend as he has a profound viewpoint on the topics associated to ENT 101.
This prof is not it he's so stingy and does the most to make his students fail. Like why are you making it hard for yourself and your students. Do not take him, save yourself.
This prof made the worst class in TMU, assignments were not thought out properly with terrible instructions and unclear expectations. Useless lectures that are unhelpful and unnecessary to attend while making you attend because 30% of your grade is worth on participation alone. 10 weekly quizzes worth 10% (1% each) is less than participation marks.
This class is the epitome of frustration and wasted potential. Twice-weekly, one-hour campus visits. There's a distinct absence of empathy or understanding of the challenges students face. Does not take accountability for his TA's. Complete waste of time punishing students for his own mistakes in guidelines. worse class I've ever taken
Useless class, in which I learnt absolutely nothing. However, Steve was a good professor who a lot of the time engaged the class in conversation/discussion. ENT was not a difficult course by any means, but the weekly assignments/essays were extremely time consuming, and the instructions were the farthest thing from clear.
I'm certain he requested that my review be taken down, that's sad. He tries to seem trendy but his material is all over the place. Assignments shouldn't require you to go through a rabbit hole to find them, they should be easily accessible. We pay thousands of dollars per semester, stop making such a simple course harder than it needs to be Stevey.
S.Gedeon is the most inaccessible professor. Wordy modules with no clear distinction between concepts and chapters. Pieces of assignment outlines scattered across his slides, D2L, and modules. "Do this and do that to get TED Points, sign up for this and sign up for that." For an entrepreneurial class, I feel like I'm learning how to follow orders.
He is very rude and inconsiderate and doesn't want to help students at all.
gedeon shouldnt be teaching this course. he makes the quizzes asynchronous module unnecessarily difficult and his instructions are not very clear yet he expects us to fully understand what his expectations from us.
the quizzes are so awful
His instructions for the assignments are terrible. I followed the instructions closely to do mine and received nothing but a D after spending 10 hours on it.
This course is horrible for people with illnesses like me we don't get extra time at all for assignments which is unfair he has no consideration of that I hate my life taking this course and he is not helpful at all if you ask him a question
I understand that this is a newly created course, but as paying students, we expect valuable, original content. Currently, the material feels overly saturated/repetitive and resembles social media "guru" advice. While P.Gideon is qualified, constant mentions of his accomplishments are getting old. Dude, we get it, you have a PhD. Fix the class!
As inspiring and passionate Steven is as a prof, this course is extremely unorganized. TAs have an uninviting energy and make it harder to speak up and ask for clarification. The grading criteria isn't clear for a lot of the assignments and you have to just hope you hit the nail on the head. If you're taking this as a bird course, find another one.
Horrible course bring back CMN279
In this course, Steve's lectures are pretty much optional, but he's a great guy, and does great lectures. Nothing to hate about him in this course.
the course was unnecessarily difficult. like the assignments were easy and the TA was good. but the course quizzes were a nightmare and the materials did not make any sense. I just wanted to be done with this course and learned nothing. if you have an option to not take this course, dont waste your time in it.
Unnecessarily hard and too much work. 8 assignments and 11 quizzes. Quizzes was a hell hole. You will not know what u got right or wrong on the quizzes, just the final score. If u fail the quiz u will be forced to retake it until you get higher than 60. You will not be able to see the assignments until u get past them. Ryan was cool though.
Most time consuming course I've ever had. Quizzes were horrendous. I'm praying to god for future students and I don't even believe in the guy.
Steven himself is a super chill dude. Everyone else in the comments has 0 skills on how to manage their time (which is funny since he teaches time management in the course), overall skill issue for them. The assignments aren't bad at all, & the quizzes take time, but just take 1hr out of ur week, take notes on the content, & ur good.
He really loves to brag about his own success and achievements, which shows off how cynical and ego-boosted he is. The modules are all AI-generated (even though he claims to have done everything himself). This course is very interesting, as they encourage you to use AI but then they do a complete 180 when marking your assignments. Good luck all.
This course wasn't useful or well taught. The weekly quizzes were unnecessarily difficult, as you "select all that apply." Everyone I've spoken to agrees that they take too much time, often more time than assignments from more difficult courses. The grading was extremely unclear, with terrible instructions. Inconsistent grading, too.
An overcomplicated course using articulate storyline and weekly quizzes was the dumbest thing to do in a course built on practicality. Planning was horrendous, for anyone taking the course, rely on the bonus marks for participation, will carry. P.s. Most T.A.'s and Assignments weren't the best. (Make sure it looks appealing to get a higher mark)
The course is new and useless. The quizzes were unnecessarily hard. There's literally nothing to take away from this course, if u have any other option go for it. Yes it is scoring but a waste of time. Steve is sometimes rude when asked questions, attendance was mandatory.
Great lecturer. However, for the online modules for ENT 101, the progression is quite brutal. It doesn't elaborate on what exactly you messed up on the online quizzes, and you need to clear them to see the next assignment requirements before they are due. Expect to slog a couple of hours on your own time figuring out where you messed up on them.
Professor Gedeon has a big ego…good luck. The work is fairly easy, but it does pile up and will take a while to complete, especially the modules. There's no clear instructions on what to include in the assignments, but just be creative in how you present it and it will get a decent grade.
He clearly cares about what he's talking about and cares about students, his class was so incredibly easy but I heard he made it harder after our class so oops lol. I seriously don't get why people don't like him.
When students ask questions, he's quite rude. He crosses lines sometimes when engaging with students. He's very particular about group projects & can ask you to come back for another presentation if you don't meet his specific criteria. Good speaker but not a good & respectful Prof.
Does not help a lot when we ask questions. Confusing group project metrics. Quite rude to any student questioning anything. Not respectful at all. Teaches off of slides & does not care about sending his grading criteria on time.
Steven was okay. Lectures weren't bad, and weren't mandatory. He gives great lectures, but do we need to attend them? No. The content he makes is so straightforward and hard to read. He uses AI in his content, and claims he does it himself lol (not true). He replies to emails, just like.. two weeks later or says he can't do anything. Not great.
Steve's attitude was unpleasant, he was condescending and rude to the few students that attended his non-mandatory lectures. The weekly quizzes were the most time consuming and useless pieces of homework. The beneficial aspect of the course were the lab instructors not him. Steve's quizzes are AI generated but students are forbidden from AI use.
The ego on this guy is through the roof
This teacher is so meh. His lectures were so useless; you do not need to attend them to pass, and he has told us that. make sure to attend the tutorials tho
You don't need to go to the lectures for ENT101 with Steven. If you JUST want to get a decent grade you don't need to go to them at all. I only went to the first one. If you want to learn from all his amazing expertise and soak in the knowledge he shares or whatever then go ahead. But you only really need to attend the tutorials to succeed
