Mr. Gonzales is my favorite teacher ever! He is funny, nice and makes math fun(and I am not a math person) He is very approachable and explaines things very well. He'll go at the pace you need him to. He's GREAT!!!

Mr. Gonzales explains things very clearly. He'll work on a problem as long as is takes until you figure it out. Pretty funny guy. A lot better than some other math teachers out there.

Excellent teacher. To pass his class just do some of the homework and take notes.

If you don't understand math, after taking this instructor you will! He's nice/funny and makes sure you understand before going any further. No trick test or quizzes, everything straight from the homework, (provided you do it).

He's a good teacher, if you do your homework and come to class everyday you should be fine. But the jokes he makes aint funny sometimes, so bear with him.

this guy looks like Luis Gonzales from the arizona diamondbacks but his class is easy if you do his homework if you have any trouble talk to him hes very easy to talk to is you don't understand the matieral

Mr.G is very helpful.If you didn't understand math b4, you will after taking his class.He's very approachable and friendly.He's also funny and not corny.A corny teacher is better than an uptight teacher w/o a sense of humor.

Mr. Gonzales is a very good teacher. He is fair, and teaches the material clear. He is easy to understand. Homework is collected but not graded. Make sure you use this oppurtunity, it benefts from doing it.

Everything these people wrote is true. He's clear, understanding and understood, easygoing, funny and corny & it's all good, always helpful, etc etc. Don't know who Luis Gonzales is but I think he's looks like a cross between Martin Short & Pee Wee Herman, but he's not ugly. Recommend for all!!!

Mr. Gonzales is awesome! He took a complete math idiot (me) and turned me into a math mama! I'm doing things I never thought I would be able to do. If I continue to succeed in math, it would be because of him. He's funny and super helpfull.

He's a very good math tacher. I used to consider myself bad at math, but he has a very good way of breaking things down so they are easily understood. I plan on taking him all the way through calculus! He's the best math teacher I've ever had!

He is a great teacher that is patient and willing to help as much as he can. He's knowledgable in the subject and teaches so you will understand. I'll take his classes again if they fit my schedule.

i hate math, i still do, but he definitely made it tolerable. he explains things very clearly so even the most math-challenged people get it. if u do the homework, the tests are cake

I've had a mental block with math for years, but in his class, I understood it. Plus, his personality is great - a very rare thing among math instructors. He won't scare you... very approachable. Highly recommended.

although he sometimes makes some mistakes he is still soooooo cool! I just love him I have never enjoyed any math class as much as I have this one( actually I hate math, but his class is just different!)

It took me years to finally come to the realization that I had to take math in order to complete my degree. Math totally scared me! I took Mr. G and understood everything!! If you have a fear of math, take his class. It wont be easy, but you will understand his lectures which means you will pass the tests, therefore passing the class....

He is a very nice guy and he is willing to help whenever he has time. He does tend to get a litle confusing at times because he'll start to explain something and then backtrack a bit and then try to explain it in a different way.Sometimes you miss the segway between the thinking out loud phase and the actual explanation.He will clarify if you ask

Mr. G is cool. He explains the concepts well and I don't think he goes to fast. Very approachable and nice. I would recommend to anybody who struggles in math.

I have taken Math 51 three times during my junior college years. He was the most interesting, easy to pay attention too, and explains well. Not only is he a good teacher but he is also very friendly and funny too. I would recommend him if your not a math type of person (like me!).

Gonsalez is a great math teacher.Very helpful and is willing to go over tests, quizzes,homework. He is an *EXTREMELY* fair grader. His tests are relevant to the book and he was willing to calculate my grade 4 times on the spot.One the best and fairest math teachers at sac city.You'll come to learn this after a few semesters here. Found class to be harder than other math classes. I struggled to make B, because making small mistakes(neg signs/arthmatic errors). Tests usually had one problem I could not do fully and I barely enough time to complete test, none to check answers. Quizes were easy though. Homework optional, but if done will count for 10%. Overall hes alright.

Very good at what he does! Extremely informative and helpful. Likes to crack the occasional joke. :)

He taught me a difficult class. He is an educator in all of his ways, he is there for office hours, he helps you get it. I saw him deal with classmates I would have strangled, but he was nice to them. He is very fair. I tell my friends to take him if they can, they will not go wrong.

I really enjoyed having Gonzales as a teacher last fall for Intermediate Algebra. He's helpful and easygoing, and if you're confused by anything, he's approachable and understading. I felt like he did a good job of explaining the material, and most of his joking attempts are funny. :) Take this class if you don't enjoy math, you'll enjoy Gonzales!

Great instructor but DO NOT TAKE ONLINE MATH CLASS! The online class is hard. It isn't in your best advantage to take a math class online. It will be hard to keep up and the online system makes you do the homework assignments over and over until you get about a high B grade. Lots of time needed for homework and tests every other week! Good Luck

Prof Gonzales is a fair teacher. I took a hybrid class with him, so I don't really know much about how he teaches, but in terms of helpfulness when u need assistance, he's really there to help you. I got a C on his class but I think its what i deserved.

Prof Gonzales is great. This is the only math class I've had where the tests and the homework were equal in difficulty and your grade can't be ruined by the final exam. classes did run long but attendance was pretty lax. He's a really fair grader and I would gladly recommend him to any one who has struggled with algebra in the past.

the best teacher ever, he understand ur situation and will help u anyway he can as long u just asked him. explain everything very clear, made soooo little mistake, probably only twice for the whole semester but then he noticed it right away and corrected it. very nice and approachable. trust me u will like him.

Prof. Gonzales is a good teacher, but I HIGHLY recommend you DO NOT take the online math 120 course. It is a difficult course and you will have to spend nearly every night work on math homework to pass. Worked my ass off. Thought I was going to get a D, but by the grace of God I got a C.

I took his Math 34 class a couple semesters ago. It was a computer-assisted class, so we were in a computer lab doing classwork/homework on the My Math Lab website. From what I understood, he was supposed to be teaching during class and then helping us after the lesson, but he hardly ever taught us anything... it was all through the website.

i have to say, the class i was taking was a hybrid. he was was helpful in understanding the topics, and clear. this class for me was not easy because i personally have a hard time in math. in the end, he is a good teacher to take, you can do well in math and understand it pretty well.

Good teacher, very nice easy going kind of guy. Does a good job explaining concept's. Try's his best to give mathematical intuition.You must use resources other than lecture to succeed like Q and A time,Math lab, solution manual, not a flaw of his just the reality of hard college level math. Alot of HW but doing it will make you better at math .

I miss this guy. I had him last semester for 100 and wish I had him for 120. Makes math very clear and tests on material covered! Answers questions, gets right to business and does not waist any time. Pretty much the best ...haha seriously though his class was enjoyable.

Math is not an easy subject for me and he made it somewhat easier for me. And cared if I passed or not. He's good at what he does.

I didn't realize how much I liked him until I went to 120 and I have a different teacher and she is not nearly as clear!! I guess you don't appreciate a good thing til it's gone lol He is a great instructor, very clear, helpful, doesn't try to trick you on exams and works with you if you miss class for emergancies

I took him both for math 100 and 120 and I LOVED him. He made class fun and learning easy. The class was overall pretty easy as long as your paid attention and did your homework. I got A's in both classes and hadn't taken math in almost 2 years. I would recommend him to anyone!!

Gonzales was a great professor. It is hard to find good math teachers and if you can't find one then you probably will fail the class. The only way you can fail his class is if you are not putting in your part because Professor Gonzales does a perfect job at teaching the material. Like any math class, be prepared to do lots of work!

Professor Gonzales is amazing! you can clearly understand every topic and his teaching style is great! he has a great sense of humor and makes it seem so easy that you are not scared of the high level of the topic. the book he assigned was easy to understand as well! he really understanding and helps you after class if you have a problem.

Gonzales is one of the better math professors at SCC. He is very patient and his teaching is easy to understand. His tests were easy. And he's so petite and handsome.

I have taken Professor Gonzales for Math 34 and 100. I never liked math but now i loove it! He teaches it in a way that is easy to understand. He never gets frustrated and is always there for his students! He grades real easy too so there is always a chance to pass. Thanks to him i have been passing math and enjoying it!

This math teacher is the best teacher I have ever had. I am horrible at math and I usually tend to doze off in math class but this teacher made it bearable. His teaching is really clear and I love the fact that he used different colored chalk and he never got frustrated when asked to repeat something. Leaves online hw. I highly recommend him. :)

Loved this professor. For the first time, i actually liked learning math and it was easier to understand th material this time around because he made sure you understood it and tested us on what we learned through lecture and homeowork.

Prof. Gonzales is amazing!! All homework are done online (ALEKS). Test occurs after finishing 1-2 chapters. You learn what you needed for the test and then bam,you will still have your knowledge fresh inside since youd just recently finished parts of the chapter. Also, an absolute hilarious professor. I recommend taking him!

I had Mr. Gonzales for College Algebra and he was great. We had homework every day but they're not due until the day of the test. Only had 3 tests plus the final, really easy as long as you pay attention during class. As long as you pay attention you should be getting an A on the class. Miss one day and you may be confused the next day.

awesome professor, great job at explaining things and making it easy to follow along, gives fill in the blank notes for lec. gives practice exams with problems just like the tests. good at answering questions and he's super nice. def recommend him

Great professor! We used ALEKS so it was already partially online anyway prior to COVID. Records Youtube videos for lecture(COVID) and it really helps. Great personality, really cares about us understanding. Having him as a prof. does require some patience though, sometimes he'll push some things out very late and the due date would be in 2 days.

I really enjoyed this class which is surprising for me as its math. There is homework but it isnt due until the test, make sure you try and keep up with it everyday because if you try to cram last minute it can be very time consuming. He does a great job explaining how to do each problem, watching lectures clarified any confusion I ever had.

This was one of my favorite teachers. I have not taken a math class in years and the way he would teach made it easy for me to understand. Instead of lectures of him going through chapters, he would make his lecture on the homework, show you how to do it, as well as other ways if any. Also meets almost everyday to answer questions and tutor as well

Very simple schedule, textbook not needed-math lab(online program for hw) $70 needed. Lectures followed by simple quizzes and homework due days of tests-dont wait for the last min it WILL pile up. If you do the HW and take notes, easy B. Hes great for people who arent good w/ math. Miss a test or quiz-hes nice about letting you make it up. Love

Professor Gonzales was so funny and always answered our questions. I was a very quiet student and he actually remembered me even when I did not speak. like at all. He truly wants us to understand the subject and offers help outside of class. I loved Statistics. Loved the math jokes. Take him !

He was a great professor. He was super helpful. If you failed a test or quiz he would let you take it again. He really wants you to succeed. He really cares about his students and wants them to pass. Do the online homework and dont let it pile up or it will be a lot of work. He does give some extra credit. He was GREAT.

Home Run! Finally I passed STATS and this teacher was the winning combo of experience, knowledge, and excellent instruction. Cares about his students and you will feel respected and supported. Handouts in class which are super helpful and practice quizzes. ALEKS is the online learning and textbook and homework. Very interactive and valuable.

I've always been bad at math, until I took this class. I had a really good time and experience during this entire course, and I got a lot out of it. You can tell he really wants you to truly understand the material as he gives lots of stories and examples to help you understand it deeper. He's a funny guy and I'd take this class over and over again

greatest math teacher of all time! you can't fail this class because everything is handed to you. just do the pearson homework before the unit tests and class notes and you'll pass. he made class fun and exciting. so kind and caring.

10/10 take his class he is super easy, he has his note structured in way where it will not confuse you. Im usually pretty good at math but the way he taught was very clear and easy to follow along. he's uses a program call ALKES do not slack off do it throughout the semester or else you'll end up doing 50+ assignment last minute

love love love him. he's such a good prof and although his dad jokes can be unfunny sometimes as long as you show up and do your work you will be fine. beware he does not do test corrections but as long as you use the study guide and do the ALEKS work you'll be just fine. he is always so helpful inside and outside the classroom

This teacher was worth getting up for an 8am twice a week for. His class was easy especially for someone who needs math at a slower pace. Passed with an A and never had to worry about the grade for the class. The textbook is a bit pricey and there is a lot of homework but if you stay ahead it should be fine, it's due at the end of the semester.

Professor Gonazles is an excellent professor that makes things very easy to learn. I took his Stat 300 class and enjoyed it. The class I took was 2 hours long and was very lecture heavy. If you take his Stat 300 class you will need to buy an online textbook (about 130 dollars) and will need to keep up with the online homework and modules
