Dr. Hayslette is great!! Knows his material, notes and lectures are concise, easy to read/follow. Very articulate, well-spoken individual. Gives extra credit, has review sessions before each test IN CLASS. Would definitely take another course under him.

Dr. Hayeslette give very concise lectures in easy to understand format. His tests expect you to know and understand the material. He is interesting to listen to which made the class pass quickly. I recommend him to anyone who must take Biology.

He looks like Al Bohrland from Tool Time. You can't go wrong with a prof that looks like Al. He's a great teacher that posts the tests on the internet. All you need to do is memorize your notes. Impossible to do poorly in.

Dr. Hayslette is AWESOME. He is extrememly helpful, and his tests aren't hard (if you take down his overhead notes & do the objectives). Take him if you hated high school bio. Don't sit near the back-people tend to talk a LOT and make it hard to hear.

WONDERFUL! Take him if you can. He works with the students and wants his students to learn. Lecutres are very clear and let's you know what is expected on the exams. Great guy...and he does look like the guy from Tool Time. hehe

TAKE HIS CLASS. I STINK at science, especially biology, and I made a high B in his class. His tests come from his notes so if you come and pay attention, you will do well on tests. Weekly online quizes help bring your grade up. He even helped me understand genetics! I thought that was impossible!LOL

I really enjoyed his class! He is a great teacher, if you answer the objectives and go to class you will pass! DO THE EXTRA CREDIT, it will pay off in the end. He is also very helpful!

This class is a joke. I came to class maybe two weeks the whole semester and didn't buy the book and didn't study and got a B. He is real easy and the tests come from the notes. Just do the objectives and the online quizes and you should do good.

His tests are not easy, have to study. He gives a lot of extra credit, it helps. He's a pretty easy teacher. You don't have to go to class, get the notes from a friend. But remember if you end up with an "89" in the class, he won't change it, even if you had a high "A" the whole semester.

Got a B in the class without attending lectures (except on exam days). Go to lab, read the chapters, sign up for an early lecture, and sleep in every day.

i loved this class. He made it really easy to understand. Just study the taxonomy and you will do good. Lab is hard though.

An excellent teacher. His lectures are so clear that if you own a pencil you can save the money on the book.

He is the best zoology teacher in the world. The lab SUCKS for this class, so if you want to do good I would take him for your lecture. He uses power points in class, and he takes time to let everyone write them down. Don't get the book. There is only one thing you need from the book, so go copy it from someone. This is an EASY A. hes a good teacher and a nice guy. he says turns out alot and its funny if you try to pay attention to how many times he says it and count them. the tests arent that hard, just study for them a little bit and you will do good.

So he's super easy. However, you have to put fourth SOME effort. I've put in next to none and I have a B. Just study the objectives that he gives online.

He gave you everything you needed to be ready for the tests. If you show up to class and halfway pay attention, you'll will pass. IF you put in some effort, you'll get an A.

Hayslette is one of the best teachers ever ! he is always willing to help you with anything too ! he never gives extra credit but if you read his notes and make sure to do your web ct quizes - you will be fine ! Try not to get him for lab tho, he was a lil tough ! Hayslette's test are really analytical so you need to understand what is going on !

He's very nice and funny. Lectures are long, but he gives a break. Five-question quizzes every week online, but they come straight from the notes. He's a cool guy, just make sure you study for tests. If you study for tests longer than 15-20 mintues, you'll do ok.

Awesome professor! The only reason I withdrew from his class was because I took 20 hours my first semester and his class was the last I added. He talks about Mcbisquits a lot and his kids, but he makes it interesting! TAKE THIS PROFESSOR

I went to class until the first test, Made an A on it after studying ALOT... I skipped every class after that except the reviews which I often left early and just studied and did the quizes... made 2 points shy of an A and didn't go to class 2/3 the time... Just get the notes from someone and do the objectives and study the objectives

Two ways to do well in his class: 1) Go to the lectures, take notes, study a little. 2) Skip all the lectures, print off the test objectives from WebCT, study from the book until you know those objectives. I did #1 for the first test and #2 for the last two, made A's on every test. No class is absolutely cake but this one isn't much work.

Great teacher. Makes the lectures interesting and the notes are the things that will be on the test. Basically gives you the test in the objectives and notes. I will definitely take him again.

Very nice teacher and pretty good class. His lectures can get boring but he eplains everything so in depth. Test are not "easy" but not "hard either. He gives you objectives that outline what you should study for the test, there are 3 test including the final so each are packed full of information. I would highly recommend him!

Okay, I basically failed biology in high school because I didn't get it. Hayslette made it easy for me. He explains very well, you must come to class to understand everything. 7 online quizes are simple. He gives "objectives" for every test, study and you will make atleast a high B. I got an A in this class and didn't even try that hard.

I hated bio until I had him. He makes it interesting. I made an A but I did study for all the tests. The online quizzes are easy. I would recommend going to class even though it is not required because somethings he says in lectures you need to know for the test. The objectives that are a review for the test are long but they help so answer them.

Dr. Hayslette is a clear lecturer with a good, clean sense of humor. He makes biology an easy subject to grasp for those of us who would not be taking science were it not required. Study the objectives he gives you and you will do fine on exams.

Pretty easy. He gives objectives for each powerpoint chapter, and the answers are exactly within the powerpoints, which are online. You can really get an A and never go to class as long as you look over the objectives. Also, don't get the book. NEVER use it.

If you have questions he's very supportive of you asking them. (The only stupid question is the one unasked) Powerpoints available for notes. Most tests come from PPTS or some article he gives you. Dr. Hayslette is a great profesor I could not have picked a better one. His power points are all online in case you miss class his test are all from the powerpoint but it is to your benefit to read the textbook it helped me a lot! You would be stupid not to take Dr. Hayslette!

Good teacher. All test questions come from an objective list that is posted online. No homework. Online quizzes that come straight from the notes. Tests can be tricky. You can get the power points online so you dont HAVE to come to class, but it will be alot harder to get an A.

Best biology 1010 teacher at Tech. Does a great job explaining everything so you will remember it. Tests are not easy but if you take notes and look over them the night before, its an easy A. Also posts all lectures online to listen to if you're absent.

Dr. Hayslett is a great teacher. I had him for general zoology. The content is hard. It is very hard not to go to class and pass even though attendance is not mandatory. you will take a test over about 5 chapters worth of stuff but he is good about explaining the material.

I LOVED Dr Hayslette! His tests are completely fair, and everything comes from the powerpoints. The material we covered was boring a lot of the time, but you hardly have to pay attention if you just study the powerpoints. Attendance isn't mandatory either. He is also very helpful. If you can, TAKE him.

This is as good as it get folks. One of the best teachers I have ever had in my life. Never gets upset, knows the material, helps students out, and is very generous when a couple of points matters. TAKE HIM!!!

DR. Hayslette is the man! Dont go into the class thinking it is an easy A though. BIO is hard, Dr. H just explains it well and is fair. Will also curve if grades are low. All tests multiple choice and he gives a study guide. Definitely take Hayslette and a Monday lab!

This professor is the best to take at tech for Biology...he explains things very well. Also, he is always willing to help his students. You don't have to go to every class, but I would as it makes it a lot easier on the tests... take notes and go to the review before the tests and you will do great!

This class isn't very difficult. You don't have to come to class all the time- always uses power points, DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. We haven't picked it up one time. Also, STUDY for the tests, he gives you 30 question tests, and 15 of the questions come from the quiz you take online. Pretty easy to study. Just sort of a boring class. I liked the lab. :)

He's a dad, and you can really tell with the way he acts and teaches. The class isn't difficult at all, he just teaches with Powerpoints. The textbook was recommended, but I personally don't recommend wasting money on it.

He is one of the greatest teachers I have ever had. The class is VERY easy, and he explains everything very well. I would not recommend any other professor for this class. Do not buy the text book because he never opened it. All the power points he posted online, and are the only things you will ever need. Good Luck! :D

Very easy class all of the powerpoints are online. He explains the material in a way that is easy to understand. Provides many visuals for hard to understand concepts and even use games in the lab too. Can be boring at times but overall all not a hard class.

Dr. Hayslette is very helpful and a great teacher! You have 2 tests and the final exam. Lecture classes are not mandatory but they are very beneficial! If you attend every lab, you get 10 extra credit points! Make sure you pay attention and copy the powerpoints!

I loved Dr. Hayslette! Super nice guy. I walked in being very nervous, because it was my first class ever, but he was so friendly and showed an interest in his students which calmed me down.
