Although a smiley face shows up I must say that the grading is unfair. He is very helpful and very clear but the grading on exams and projects is unfair. Watch out for trick question on SDLC. 7 steps, not 6! It's crap, but he will not budge.

Steve Hornick is The Man. This class teaches common sense for computer, as most lack that. Quizzes are a breeze (never studied), papers are easy , presentations are a breeze as well (easy grader), and Final Exam is too easy. He doesn't keep attendence (skip all you want), & easy to convice to make up undone essays. You will enjoy this class. :)

Dr. Hornik is a technical genius. His class is ridiculously easy. The research papers are no trouble, and he doesn't grade the presentations. The quizzes are straight from the text, although at times some questions can be very specific. Still, the final was cake. Take him, get an A.

His class was pretty easy. We had a class Wiki Space that allowed us all to create a study guide that he used to write the test. The tests were not hard or too easy and the group project was essentially the homework. Very easy to get in contact with and very helpful on the project. I'd suggest taking him for this class.

Dr. Hornik really put in a lot of effort to help us pass. If you aren't an accounting type, this class is very hard. However, he went so far as to make video reviews for the final (even a format you could put on your iPod). He was clear & helpful. His TA was also very, very helpful. I think if I would have had another prof I would have failed.

This class is inherently HARD, it is a weeding out class for those not serious about the business program. Dr. Hornik does a great job of teaching and making himself availible. To do well you MUST read the book, do practice problems, study hard, and go over old tests. It is a hard class but I'm glad I took it w/Dr. Hornik.

The class itself is very difficult. Reading the book isn't enough, you have to do the homework problems. Hornik is a good professor though and really cares about his students. The second exam we took, about half the class failed, so he eventully curved it. Really goes out of his way to help his students. Wouldn't recommend taking a 3 hour class.

Do NOT take professor Hornik! In order to do well on the tests you need to do all the homework, read and MEMORIZE all the chapters, and remember everything from previous tests. This is a hard class and Hornik made it even more difficult! The final grade is comprised of four tests - nothing else counted towards the grade!

The material covered in the course is difficult. The professor is very approachable and is more than happy to help out students during office hours. Dr.Hornik is a fair grader, and realy tries his best to teach you the material. However, this class does favor those with some tech savvy prowess. Uses 2nd life which is USELESS, the technology he uses makes understanding how to complete all of your hw assignments harder than the hw itself, if you ever figure it out. You have to read and do your work to get a good grade! This is not one of those classes that you can get by just looking up answers in textbook. You have to understand material to do well on tests. SL is great for the first few assignments... the last two assignments were annoying. Tests R taken on campus. 5 exams drops lowest. Extra credit given!

By far the worst professor at UCF. He probably gets payed to include second life which only takes up time and teaches nothing.
