He is an above average professor

Really great professor. Very reasonable. If you workhard, come to class and study getting an A is not that difficult

Ok so Mr. Htet is the nicest most personable teacher ever...I took him over the summer and I can assure you most of the class absolutely loved him (although he is sometimes hard to follow). BUT non the less he does grade generously if you do your lab work and gives good amount of extra credit.

He is super nice and always gives extra credit so its impossible to fail. His tests are hard though and labs are literally pointless. Just make sure you show up to class.

First of all he is the cutest Bio prof you have ever seen in your life! Trust me! He make my life so much easier!!!However if you miss one class, I am deadly serious you lose 10 points at least! He has lots of extra credits which boost your grade so bad:)

Ok prof but he gives out extra credit alot, his test are 4 of them including final(100 points each). 13 lab quiz worth 20 points (each); and gives a 20 point extra credit at the end.The textbook is good to have but mostly u can get from the interent or his slides. Its really hard to fail his class. no joke.

No one can get below C in this class if you come to class everyday and do the extra credit assignment.

do yourself a favor and take his class!! you will learn a lot and get an easy A!!! I got a 26 on one of my tests and still ended up with an A! just make sure you do the extra credits be on time and do the lab!! every time he finishes a lab he gives a quiz, but don worry he gives all the answers right before the quiz.

Easy A! He gives extra credit for all of his test, if you complete all of the extra credit and show up to every class you will definitely pass. Also, he gives a quiz after every lab assignment, he goes over the quiz before handing it out so it will be easy to pass.

He is good guy,funny.Gives out a lot of extra credit. Now i can't guarantee for extra credit, because he said that for next semester he will not give any.His tests are very hard.If you study for test, you will be OK.

I am absolutely terrible at biology and he made it understandable. I took early morning classes and thought it would be hard to stay awake but he made the class fun. The tests can be difficult so you have to study, but as long as you show up and do the work you will pass. if you want an A study hard!

His class is pretty easy. He gives you alot of extra credits. There is no reason why you shouldn't pass his class. He lectures are really good. He explains everything well. If you come to class and do the work you'll pass. If you want to get an A then you need to study a little hard.

He is a very good teacher that loves biology, but also knows that not all the people who take his class are biology majors. He is very helpful on trying to make his student understand bio. He gives tons of extra credit which makes it hard for you to fail any of his exams. He is plain awesome and one of the best in annandale campus.

Awesome teacher. You use the lab book most but the textbook is only if you need it. He gives extra credit worksheets before every test (that counts as 20pts extra!) Final exam is open NOTE not BOOK. Overall cool teacher, everyone in my class loved him!

I have never taken the time out to write a review about any professor! BUT, i can honestly say that he is brilliant! Honestly he offers lots of extra credit. i failed ALL 4 EXAMS!!! BUT i did decent on the final and did extra credit and never skipped lab or class and got a high B!!! all u have to do is take notees!!he is awesome! loved him!

Mr.Htet his class is not that intersting, he likes to tell jokes during the lecture but not everyone likes it, sometime he just laugh himself. His is very easy about the garding, lots of extra credits, i got all 80+ on my tests and even failed one, eventully i still got A, so take him

Professor Htet is awesome! He's straightforward, an easy grader, and uses examples that makes it easier for biology to be understood. Couldn't have asked for a better professor for biology

Just....awesome. I hated biology throughout my entire academic career before coming to Prof. Htet's class. He makes biology interesting and easy to understand. His tests aren't bad either, and he drops the lowest grade of 5 exams. Take him!

This class was really easy, considering Biology is a hard subject. People who don't do well must not listen, because he tells you everything you need to know for the tests and all the labs and lab quizzes. He even drops the lowest grade. I would recommend him to anyone

This class is very easy, take it if you don't care so much about bio and want to get it out of the way. He gives extra bonus points all over the place and is very relaxed. It doesn't get any easier than this, unless you go back to high school.

He is the great teacher I have ever seen in my life. He offers many grades that will make you pass your exam easily. But you need to attend his classes regularly. He is a quiz master also! His teaching is easy to remember . He is very friendly and as others say he is always smiling. If you are afraid of bio, I want to advise you TAKE HIS CLASS NOW!

Professor Htet(pronounced tet) is the best bio professor in NOVA. Attendence is mandatory, can't be latter than 10 minutes or he will takes point off. Attend his labs and lecture classes, do the prelabs which are usually a couple of questions. study for the 4 exams and one final exam (open notes) and you should be golden. He will drop one exam.

The professor is really good and is kind. He does not have any accents and tries to make the class fun by cracking up some jokes. There will be 6 exams including the final which is optional. He drops the lowest grade, but I prefer to take the final because it boosted my grade 6%. The tests are actually hard and You need to study for them.

Prof Htet is a great professor. His lectures are very straight forward and he provides lots of information on the subject instead of just reading from the power points. Tests are straight from the PP's and he provides study guides. There are 5 exams including the final and he will drop your lowest grade which really makes a difference. Take him!!!

Very intelligent prof, gives great and interesting lectures. Don't be late (he takes off points) and don't miss class! Gives study guides and extra credit. 6 exams including a cumulative final, but the final is open-note and he drops the lowest exam grade (or you can choose not to take the final). Labs include 10pt easy A lab quizzes. Great class.

Really great prof. Lectures are essential, take lots of notes and pay attention. Don't be late or else he'll take points off. Tests are straight from study packets. He is the only teacher I know to give exam reviews. For lazy students, don't take. If you're willing to work, you'll get an A with little effort. He really doesn't have a heavy accent.

Attendance is half the grade in lab. Homework/ study guides MUST be done before the tests. His lectures aren't very important, I'd say focus on the HW more. You can drop the lowest test grade. Offers extra credit.

He's great! I had him for BIO101 at 630 am. He cares about his students and teaches in a way that those not STEM inclined understand. It's Biology, though, you have to show up for class and actually understand the concepts or you will fail. No matter the professor. He's easily accessible and I wish I could take him again but he only teaches BIO101

There are lab and lecture quizzes twice a week, they're easy if you pay attention. He will help you but you have to ask if you're struggling. Attendance is a huge part of your grade, but he provides a couple opportunity for extra credit. He's funny but sometimes goes on tangents where he loses topic. If you put in he work, the class is super easy.

took him for bio101&102. Great prof. if u show him that ur interested and respectful then he will most def curve ur grade. He gives out study guides for exams. THEY R LITERALLY THE QUESTIONS U GET ON THE TEST. do the study guide and u WILL get an A. he has 4 exams and a final. Final is open note. drops lowest test grade. TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!

LOVED HIM! His tests are super easy, & the study guides are super helpful. Make sure you complete them they're worth A LOT of points. He's the nicest, most sweetest man I've ever met. He takes the time to answer any questions you may have. Good lectures, if you listen closely he'll tell you exactly what'll be on the exams. Lab quizzes were easy.

Professor Htet has a great sense of humor and is a great teacher. I actually loved his tests- you cant simply memorize vocabulary by rote to get an A. You need to actually understand the material. There is not a lot of homework, but his lecture notes are great and hes happy to answer questions. Attendance mandatory as many points come from lab.

Took him for both BIO 101 & 102. He's so kind and smart. He really knows his stuff and is always willing to take the time to review or go over something you didn't understand or catch while he was lecturing. Lab quizzes and lecture quizzes were easy. 4 exams and a final, one's dropped . Definitely take him! No homework. You don't need the textbook.

Took him 2 semesters ago but still felt like leaving a rating cause he was great. Easy going class, as long as you do your work, he drops lowest test score from what I remember and gives extra credit. If you're someone who can just get their work done, take his class

A great guy really cares about his students. 5 exams (Final already included) drops the lowest exam meaning you don't need to take the final if you are happy with your grade after the 4 th exam. All you need is D'S on all his exams AND do his take-home quizzes in order to get a solid C in the class.

I took his BIO 101 last semester. All of the things you need to do is go to class. study and take exam. need to hard-working. not much homework. take home some quizzes and tests. Effort your study, and you will het your best grade. no need book.

Took him for bio 101 in Summer. There were 4 tests and 1 final. He posted lectures note on Canvas which were really helpful for the test. Lab / lecture quizzes are open note. Nice and funny professor. Study guide for the test worth a lot of points toward the grade. Take him!

Tests are extremely hard if you dont study. But overall the work load is bearable. He responds well to emails and communicates thoroughly if you are confused on a topic. The only thing I did not appreciate is that I bought the textbook and didnt even use it. But I suppose its good to have for a reference.

Online class was great! During lab he goes over the answers, which makes it an easy A, just pay attention. Must attend lab and lecture for participation points. He goes over slides and types the notes throughout the class. Includes Pre-lab, lab, and a lab quiz after e/a lab. The exams are fairly easy too, and mostly from the study guide.

Professor Htet is a great biology professor. I took his spring BIO 102 class and even though it was early in the morning, his lectures were great and engaging, I definitely learned so much from his lectures and I feel more prepared for the higher BIO courses thanks to him. Take his class if you can! His tests are fair if you study.

Absolutely amazing professor! He is hilarious, easy going, but smart and organized! Lectures and LAB were super fun! He is not your regular careless professor, he truly was born to be a teacher. He was an amazing professor, he doesn't play around about not putting in effort. All you have to do is show up to class and put your part. After 4 times of dropping biology class cause the professors sucked, he made it easy peasy. He does care for his students but it is also up to us to pass his class.
