Amazing teacher, he makes learning interesting. At first I was a little intimidated, but he is really down to earth and is willing to work with his students. I would recommend taking any of his classes!

His tests are essay style and are pretty easy to pass if you pay attention and study a little bit. I recommend this professor--I learned so much in his class. I wish he taught more classes here :)

This was an amazing class. I loved it. His lectures were interesting and lively. Although his assignments were vague and his grading confusing, I'd love to take another class of his. It's actually the cause of my newfound interest in the humanities.

He is a good guy, he makes lectures fun. I took so much notes and in the end didnt even need them because he gave us all the info we needed online.so overall his class was pretty fun and easy and I learned alot too. I would take his class again. He is a very fun guy. if your class likes to joke and talk and have fun then youll get the same responce

Great online teacher, one of the best. He was very clear on what he wanted from you. You do not need the book he provides everything you need. As long as you pay attention to the class you will do fine. A very interesting class too.

I took intro to humanities, one of the best classes I have taken in college! He made the material interesting and the lectures were quite intriguing. The assignments weren't graded hard, if I had the option I would definitely take him for another class.

It's a lot of writing, AND reading,EVERYTHING you need is given with each module assigned. He gives AT LEAST two weeks somtimes 3 to complete and gives you the opp to up your grade by submitting early, and rework after his comments. It's a fail proof class, provided you actually do the work. Great feedback, lets you know EXACTLY what's expected.

Great teacher! He is right to the point which is all a person could ask for. No sugar coating- gives the assignment and gives the student the chance to submit early so you could "up" your grade. When corrections are needed, he doesn't dance around it- flat out tells ya if ya wrong. will continue to take future classes with him! Great teacher!

Excellent professor. Lectures were informative, engaging, and often humorous... he's a challenging instructor, but the class is such an easy A if you just do the work (i.e. THINK). Wish I could take more classes of his. One of the best teachers I've ever had.

He is an amazing teacher. His classes were by far my favorite simply because of the way he taught them. Of course the subject was interesting, but he kept me interested throughout the entire course. He is the only professor I will miss from PHCC. I definitely recommend him for any Humanities course!

Amazing! I learned so much in 6 weeks. Do not buy the textbook, not needed. My class was 3 1/2 hours starting at 9:30 am and it seemed like 30. Mins. He actually calls on his students by name for their opinion. Just amazing! If you want to learn take this class. Don't miss it though, unless you have a buddy, lectures only for assignments.

I love this class and this teacher! He gives lectures pretty much every class but it's interactive so you learn better, though you don't want to miss any days, you could miss important info. I was super bad at anything history before this class, and he made me good at it!

I took this teacher online and am confused on how anyone can say he was difficult or hard to understand,I think it was interesting and clear on what he wanted from assignments. I both my humanities classes with him,great interesting teacher no book needed :)easy grade only took about an hour per week to get assigments done :)

This was a great online class. Each module had 4-5 questions and one 500 word essay. The final module had a 1000 word essay. The work was clearly explained and no text is necessary. The best part of the class would be the opportunity to resubmit a question or essay if you don't like your score. AS LONG AS YOU SUBMIT EARLY!Great, Great Class! :)

This class was super easy, and was actually interesting! I loved the structure of the class, I also loved the fact that he opens all the work on the first day. If you turn things in early you also have a chance to redo your work if you want a higher grade! I would tell anyone and everyone to take class with him!

This professor is so amazing! His assignments we're so clear, I thought it was going to be hard but it wasn't! Make sure you go to every class or else you will have to get notes from someone else. BEST PROFESSOR

Great guy! You can absolutely tell he is passionate about the material, and loves to talk about the subject. If you do the work and show up to class, you should do very well in this class!

Does not require book!!! Opens all modules at beginning,does not grade until they are actually due,so you can turn work in early. Allows you to re-work for a better grade if assignments are turned in early enough. Quick to respond to emails and very helpful. Each mod. has a few questions & one essay. Took 6 week summer course, very easy!

GREAT! Instructor provides PDF handouts & PowerPoints w/ the info, book isn't necessary! He let me make up an essay & doesn't offer ex credit. 12 modules, each have maybe 2-5 quizzes & each quiz is a question that you respond to w/ 100 words, 1 test in each module which is a 500 word essay responding to a question. The final is a 1000 word paper.

Very opinionated! Calls on the shy ones, so raise your hand so he won't call on you as often. Helpful if you ask for help! Very nice! Attendance is important, make sure you take notes!

No text book needed, all material is provided by him. Not allowed to use outside sources, and very set on grading requirements. If it says 500 words, don't do anything less or it's a zero! Over all an easy class and you're allowed to make up assignments if they are turned in a few days before due date. A great teacher and would highly recommend.

This was my third class with Insalaco. You get a guaranteed A if you just do the work, show up and be active in class. Simple as that. The papers you write are cake, and the lectures I found entertaining and thought provoking. If you need humanities credits, take them with Insalaco.

Insalaco is the best professor I've ever had. He really inspired me and actually changed my mind about my major! If you're interested in any of the arts, you'll enjoy his class! He comes off a little arrogant and bullheaded at first, but he mellows out. Don't bother buying a textbook!!!

If you've taken his intro class save your money and take a different class because he literally teaches the same material. Yeah, its an easy A if you just need the credit but his class gets so boring because he says the same exact words from his intro class. The good thing about this class is you don't need a textbook

At first I didn't like Professor Insalaco, but I gradually grew to love him as a professor. He is very strongly opinionated but he explains information well. His tests are all online and you can basically use the PowerPoints as you do them. There were a lot of fun philosophical debates in class. I will be taking his other classes in the future.

Best professor. All of the material you need is given to you in each module so do NOT buy the book the school tells you to. You have three writings, two critical and one reflection. They're super easy. He offers extra credit in each module and, all together, can add an extra 6% on your grade so make sure you do them! I would take him again.

Absolutely loved him! This was my third class with him. He's extremely laid back; all you have to do is show up, participate in lectures, and do the homework (super easy stuff you can do in one night). Accessible, listens to your needs, and will work with you.

Awesome guy!!! He's super funny and has a bit of a potty mouth. There's no tests, just quizzes that you take at home (so you can use your notes). You really learn a lot from his classes too!

Every class is a lecture but he makes it very bearable. His course work consisted of 6 tests and 2 essays. Half was due midterm and the other half was due at the end of term. The work and tests are easy but do not skip one of them or you won't pass.

Very lecture heavy Professor, but he makes the lectures fun and intriguing. Not a professor that plays favoritism, Thankfully. But he does admire students who give their opinions, versus simply agreeing with his. I have taken Three of his courses and loved all of them. Easily one of my favorite professors from PHSC. I recommend him to EVERYONE!

Hes the best professor in Humanities! He cares about his students and gives awesome lectures. 6 quizzes ( two attempts, if you want to score higher) and two essays. He made learning fun for everyone and I already signed up for my next humanities class with Mr. Insalaco.

I took him online and his class was very easy. The test is straight from the PowerPoints (the early tests you can find online) and you have a 600 word essay which is very easy.

Professor Insalaco is one of my favorite Prof's so far! He's hilarious, and surely incorporates that into his lectures. His tests are online, with 2 chances & no time limit for each. There are also 2 easy essays to complete. One thing to definitely watch out for is attendance, it's 30% of your grade, so I suggest taking an afternoon class.

Easy A, 10 quizes that are around 20 to 30 problems and 1 600 word paper that you have to answer 3 questions, so 200 words per a question.

He gives great lectures that challenge you beliefs and your understanding of the world around you. I'd recommend any of his classes and advise you to take the pysical classes as you won't want to miss them.

I've taken 2 of his classes and wish I could take more. He loves discussion and getting people's opinion without judgement. He has a real love for these topics and encourages all his students. He doesn't use textbooks and every quiz online can be taken twice to get the best grade. Only 1 big paper which is super easy if you listen to his lectures.

This class was so easy. I took it a while ago, but I remember it being about 6 or 7 quizzes and one short essay total. I finished the class in a week. It's an easy A, but just do the only few assignments well so your grade doesn't go down because of one!

Insalaco is so funny and amazing! Themes is the first of three classes I have had the privilege of taking with professor Insalaco. He is an amazing instructor and I always look forward to his lectures. Sounds crazy? Take his class and you'll see too!

Ancient World: Make sure you show up to class AND TAKE NOTES! The online quizzes are fairly easy if you use your notes from his lectures and slideshows and the online module notes. He makes it extremely easy and if you don't get an A in his class you deserve it. There is one essay in this class and you have the materials to make it good. SUPER EASY

Do the work and you will pass. Very straightforward with his expectations. No book. Can only use his notes for papers (easy, no APA or MLA). I would take him again.

Great professor! Took his Intro to Humanities class. He doesn't make you wait for your grades! He is clear about what is expected, interesting, although long lectures. Learned a lot. Would definitely take this professor again!

Took Ancient World with him over the summer online. There are 6 quizzes and an essay. The essay has to be 800 words or more. I don't think it matters if your essay is good or not because I got a 100 and I suck at essay writing. You have to read a couple of really long reading passages before taking the quiz. The quizzes have 2 attempts.

Honestly, he is one of the funniest and interesting teachers Ive ever had and my favorite from PHSC. I enjoyed his rants about life and history and he is a great teacher .

I definitely recommend Insalaco and would take again. His classes are lecture heavy but he makes easy to stay tuned in and makes it interesting. Occasionally, he expresses his views on certain things which didn't bother me but could some people. Only 1 600 word easy essay, and 6 multiple choice tests throughout 16 weeks open note & self explanatory

The info is really cool, especially the first module on Greek culture. He doesn't let you use outside sources at all though which I thought was weird but its interesting. Tests are based solely on the info in the power points, almost word for word. Two attempts for each quiz and one short essay, not hard.

Insalaco is probably the best prof. I've ever had. His powerpoints are informative and straightforward. His audio lectures are hilarious. He's an opinionated dude, but his insights are profound. If you are tired of mundane material, he knows how to make things accessible and enlightening. He made learning ancient history fun!

Such a good instructor, I took him in person. He made lectures interesting but be advised for uncomfortable eye contact and randomly calling you out. Only 4 online exams that can be completed by your notes or quizlet and one essay. I would recommend everyone to take him.

Professor Insalaco is a really good teacher, he explains & repeats so you remember. Does cuss a little but doesnt mean to. Took online & in person, online without zoom was difficult but In person was good! Will have lectures every class & suggests take test(online)couple days after learned material thats it. Also seem to have attendance policy.

Wonderful teacher! I took this online course and his lectures were easy to get through and the power-points were really fun to learn about. If I had elective classes left to take I would love to take more of his humanities classes. He knew what he was talking about and said things in such a funny way to keep students engaged in learning.

By far the best professor that I have had as PHSC. If you don't pass his class then you are doing something wrong. His lectures are informative and he gives plenty of time to submit the few assignments for the course. I will be taking another one of his classes next semester. 10/10 for sure.

LOVE INSALACO. Rarely takes attendance, mostly just in the first month or so. Doesn't hold absences against you. No end of semester exam. Only grades 6 quizzes and 1 paper (is so easy). Encourages you to use his powerpoints on the quizzes and to work with others when taking them. Probably the easiest class I have taken and may take here.

Everything is open book and there are only tests and 1 easy paper, no midterm or final. For tests, 2 attempts are allowed and highest grade will be taken.

TAKE HIS CLASS. Insalaco is awesome, super understanding, and really funny. 7 quizzes (drops lowest and each one you get 2 attempts) & 1 paper (600 words). He lays everything out for you on canva, provides all resources needed. Take the quizzes while reviewing material/lectures. One of the easiest classes I have every taken.

If your looking for a worthwhile credit, Mr. Insalaco has you covered. The course text is sizeable; about 100 slides per class in the online version, but the actual coursework itself didn't take me more than ten minutes after studying. Only warning is, FOLLOW HIS NARRATIVE, agree with it or not. Use only his source and the class if you want an A.

I took the course online and it was incredibly simple, the teacher was quite nice, I never had a problem taking his course. I will say there are a lot of notes/readings for each chapter, but you have one assignment every two weeks which makes it quite easy if you use your time efficiently.

No midterm/exam. Very easy class. Fun and interactive lectures. 7 quizzes and 1 paper (800 words), but very easy to get A's on. My advice would be to take lots of notes and look over power points for the quizzes.

Genuinely one of my favorite professors by far. You can tell he enjoys teaching and unintentionally makes it as entertaining as possible with engaging stories and interactions with the class.

It could have just been my lecture time, but he made the lessons really funny and interactive. He would pick people and ask them about certain parts of the lecture some times. Prof. Insalaco definitely loves when students participate and ask questions. He may be awful at remembering names, but you 100% want him as you Intro to Hum. Professor!

Insalaco's HUM1020 is a blast - funny, engaging lectures and minimal work. Quizzes are easy with the provided resources, and unstuck study is a great study tool alongside the class materials. Highly recommend for an enjoyable and low-stress credit.

Prof Insalaco was chill and straightfoward. I took intro to hum with him as an 8wk short class. We had readings and one quiz per week. Very manageable. I would definitely take a class with him again.

Prof. Insalaco is really funny, I take him for Introduction to Humanities. Every time I step into the class, it's something new and different. He's very interactive with the class and funny with his explanations. He puts it in a way for everyone to understand LOL!

You WANT to take this guy. He's a little shocking at first and will challenge a lot of what you have previously learned in high school classes. Overall grade is made up of 6 quizzes, a syllabus quiz and a small essay that he gives you 2 months to do. I will say it again, YOU WANT THIS PROFESSOR.

Professor Steven Insalasco was a great Humanities teacher. His condensed course was beneficial, and we covered only seven modules and one essay on Immanuel Kant's Enlightenment paper. He was an extremely easy grader, and the quizzes consisted of 20-30 questions, which were a little tough. Lots of power points and readings. Good course though!
