Forum Lecture class, he uses power point, and on occasion shows movies. Boring class, no roll taken, a lot of independant study required. Grade based on testing (1 dropped). Easy to pass with a C, lots of extra credit. Not as easy to get an A.

I took it online.I learned a ton from this class because you can't just take the tests and find the answers in the book during the test. The questions are randomly selected and the time limit is such that you must know the material ahead of time. I learned a lot and Isonio was a good online teacher.

The class was decently challenging, and you definitely need to study for the tests. Attendance on "Focus Topic" days are a must since there are questions about those on the test. Overall though, attendance is over rated. I didn't go to most of the classes and still managed to pass with a C. Study the study guide and read the book and you'll be fine

Steven Isonio is a very nice teacher; however, his lectures are very boring! His exams are a challenge! If you just read some of the pages in the book, you will fail the exam. You must read EVERYTHING in the book! He does sometime tells you what will be on the exam. Other than that, it's a HARD class, and many students received a C or F! I got a B!

He's nice but likes to lecture and go off on tangents (it's easy to fall asleep). It's not 100% important to pay attention during lectures because it's all in the book, but it would help you understand the physiology. Read EVERYTHING in the assigned chapters, go over/know his review questions and you will do fine on the tests. I got an A.

Good instructor, his videos got me through the summer. And the extra credit assignment helped me out alot

I took an Intro to Psychology class in Summer of 2005. This was my first college class and I really enjoyed it. His lectures seem long but he has a lot of cool videos and he's a great teacher. Some tests were easy and some were hard, but if you study it'll be a breeze. There's a big report you can do for extra credit too! Great class.

Say hello to Kernal Sanders! He is sooo freakin' boring. Most of the time I just didn't want to go. Even when I went to class and tried to listen and learn, I ended up learning jack***t. You have to go to class bc there are worksheets he gives during class and collects at the end of class. No Hw but dumb hard tests. I think like 3 or 4 of them.

I took Psych20 online; it is a very hard class. You will need to understand what you read in the text. Homework is fairly easy but the quiz is not. The final is also pretty tough with 2 short answers; I recommend this class because you do learn alot but you must be prepared to work for your grade. Other than that, I enjoyed the class.

This prof was very helpful. My dad was in the hospital and i had to miss a lot but he was willing to be flexxible and understanding. I only wish i did not have to miss as many days because he is a good teacher and i really learned a lot.

I took the research methods class. I learned more in this class than in any other psych class. I am a psych major and know this class will help me in my major. We did a research proposal from scratch. The teacher worked with us individually to help us do our own proposals. This is a a great class.

Took online class. Dr. Isonio is an awesome instructor. He is very patient and understanding. HOWEVER, the class is not easy. You have to read the text. HW is easy, but time consuming. Don't wait until the last minute. Quizes and Final are not easy unless this is your world. Do the extra credit work.

Took this class online. Not an easy class if you have little to no interest in this class. Homework not that easy, and tests are 35 questions in 32 minutes, and if you did not read the book, you will fail the test automatically. I do not recommend taking this online class unless you are up to the challenge.

Steven Isonio PHD. This Professor is great guy! very helpfull!! encourages any questions before and after class, also has email and office to ask additional questions. Note! USE YOUR TEXTBOOK to prepare for your Exams and Quizes! the Quizes and Exams are strait out of the Book!! Lecture has some points and great general knowledge. Easygoing guy!

I took this class online and for a summer class, it was more work than I expected. The quizzes weren't too hard considering the material was pretty dense. The homework was time consuming, but I learned something new every time and actually enjoyed it. I recommend not waiting until the last minute to start reading and doing any extra credit (easy).

I took the 8 week online class so I wasn't too surprised by the amount of reading that would be involved. You read almost 70% of the book. I was very interested in the book. He does not give a midterm but does a final. He also has a work packet and quizzes due every two weeks that are based on 3-4 chapters. It is a lot of work but very easy.

I had to work hard but got a good grade and learned a lot. Highly recommend this class.

Enjoyed this class. I learned a lot about psych. Easy exams, multiple choice and writing. He gives us most of thw writing questions beforehand.

Dr. Isonio's class was an Easy A for me because I took time to study the book. What really helped was using the books companion web site because it has electronic flash cards and practice quizes. Know the terms and it should be an easy A and there are tons of extra credit & one test (lowest score) is dropped. Also, go to every class to get some EC.

Professor Isonio is very cool. He works very hard to give all students a fair chance to get an A. His lectures are very detailed and long, but pay attention because he is basically telling you what's going to be on the test. He makes getting an A easy, but some students couldn't see that.

His lectures are not really that interesting, and is a very boring teacher. However, his class was fairly easy. Just read the textbook and you're set!

I took the 6 week summer class. It was not as much fun or as interesting as his psyc 100 class (also online) It all depends on how much you study the book. In a short class like this, its about the time and dedication you put it. I usually get As in psyc, got a B =[ take the longer class, at least 8 weeks!

This class was pretty hard there are way easier psyc 100 classes. I got an A but definitely worked hard for it. There are 4 exams and the lowest dropped. He gives a lot of extra credit. Notes are really important! book is used to study a lot so i recommend getting it. He is super nice and helpful. So if you are willing to work i recommend.

Really nice guy and pretty easy class if you study. He posts the study guide 5 days prior to the exam, go over it thoroughly and you'll pass. Notes are important to take and the book helps alot. I missed class quite alot but did the E/C and passed with a B!

Not a difficult class. I took it as an 8 week online class along with 4 others and found it very manageable. The book is important because you can use it for all of the tests and quizzes.

I took Dr. Isonio's 6 week online class this summer, great teacher. It was tough only because there is a lot of reading, don't fall behind! By the end of 6 weeks you read the whole book. Easy life story paper, weekly quizzes n final all open book - the weekly assignment give you so many extra points toward your grade which really boosts it up :)

took his summer 6-wk online class. very good w/responding back. 1 quiz for each ch., assig= 4 ques. each ch., 1 discussion topic each wk. offers 2 extra credits. Class is very possible! I am taking 3 summer classes and made it possible. he updates grades quickly. highly suggest if you dont like psych

i am currently taking his online class for summer. I was a bit scared at first because this subject sounds scary already. lol but its actually pretty cool. He gave us extra creit and sometimes allows us multiple tries on quiz. He grades easy with the assignments. There's a lot of reading, but very doable. I would highly recommend his class!

Took Dr. Isonio in the winter semester 01052015-01302015. 4 week class. Every week there's 3 quiz 25 pt ech. 1 homework assignment ech week 25 pt each. A final test 80 multiple choice + 1 written question. 4 discussion @ 8 points each. 2 extra credit. Confusing quiz so read all chapters. I managed to get an A in the class but worked hard.

I just took his class was boarder line for an A. I submitted my extra credit on time and since he couldn't "open" it, he didn't count it and he didn't even email me to let me know. I ended up with a B when I did all the work for an A. He's usually helpful but he's very strict. Easy grader though. Turn in all your work on time and get full credit.

I took this class in the 8-week format. Two wks covers 3 chapters and includes 3 quizzes & 1 very long HW assignment. HW includes doing online practicals like personality quizzes on ancient websites and discussing your results. Some of the HW seemed simple but TOOK FOREVER to do. Exams are timed and very hardlots of questions. No midterm.

His lectures can be really confusing and there is a lot of information to sort through, but he is an amazing teacher and will always be there to answer questions for you. I would definitely take his class again! He's the one that got me interested in the research part of psychology. Thank you Mr. Isonio!

Professor Isonio does a great job with this Online classes. Learned a great deal in this intro class and would highly recommend any of his online classes. I am finishing up a second Psych class with him online G260. Read or "listen" to your chapters, do the assignment set homework as they will help you do well on your quizzes and your final.

Took Intro Psych this summer. Very busy in the six weeks class. Have regular discussions which were actually fun, easy to get full points. Assignments and quizzes were the main work. Did optional extra credit project. Was able to get a A in the class!

I really loved being in this class. He gives great feedback and it is so interesting learning what he is teaching. If your not interested in learning or reading a little don't take this class. There is quite a bit of reading but it is all very intriguing nothing boring if you are interested in psych. would take again

PROS: He's a very nice guy, grades easily on assignments, gives a lot of extra credit opportunities, textbook is required but you can pass without it, and you basically only have to show up on exam days because you can read the lecture slides online. CONS: Hes boring, exams are hard, he's extremely boring, and he's also pretty boring.

Isonio was great for online Psych100! Clear grading, and if you put in enough effort to justify him reading your work, you're likely to get constructive feedback frequently. Do the work and do it on time. If you have many other commitments, take a 16 week rather than 8 week format, b/c the 8 week moves quickly. Gives extra credit. Highly recommend!

Having Professor Isonio was refreshing break from some of the other psych professors at GWC. He knows what he is talking about, although his slides are disorganized. He is open minded, flexible, and while he assigns crazy hard tests and big projects, he also accounts for how hard you worked and how much you learned. He loves giving out free points!

I really enjoyed his class, his assignments were reasonable and I was able to study for all of is tests while working full time this summer semester. He's a great grader if you do your weekly homework, and you'll receive full credit for trying your best.

Class is mainly dependent on the exams and he posts amazing study guides for each one. I honestly only read a few chapters from the class textbook, and just studied his study guides super hard and ended up with over 100% in the class. He also offers a ton of extra credit too. Couldnt recommend the class more.

I really enjoyed prof. Isonios class. Definitely a man who is passionate about what he teaches and you can really feel that through his lectures. He takes with a very soft voice so it is sometimes hard to hear him or makes you sleepy. Would recommend him 100%.

You can tell that Professor Isonio is passionate about psych and he makes it known from the first day that his office is always open if you need it. He provides study guides for every test, and if you have a basic understanding of what's on it you'll do just fine. He also drops your lowest test score and the final isn't cumulative! Take him!

I took his 4 week Psych 100 class over winter break. There were assignments and a discussion due every 4-5 days that took about 2 hours to complete. As long as you do the work and show that you at least tried a little he'll give you full credit. His feedback is short but I personally didn't care. I just wanted an A

Online class was very good organization. Easy to navigate. I like the assignment sets, very intersting.

Wouldn't recommend taking the 6 week course unless you have lots of time. There is lots of reading and homework that is very time consuming (10-15+ hrs/wk), but its effective for learning in a short period of time. Professor is great and gives good feedback & extra credit. 16 week course would be more relaxed considering the amount of info there is

I took AP psych in college and failed the exam so I took this class during winter session. Super easy A, just be familiar w the terms, make sure you read if you aren't fmiliar with psychology. I recommend taking this class in 8 weeks bc itsnot that difficult.

I loveeee Isonio so much, Im almost done with his PSYCH100 class (online), and I really did do the bare minimum and have a 97 percent. Hes also really sweet and understanding, he will ALWAYS message you back in time.

He was an amazing professor. He knows what he is teaching and makes it fun. He teaches in a way that is easy to understand. He likes to make funny "dad jokes" and is easy going. Because of COVID we were on hybrid schedule with zoom and online work. I also took the fast track which was difficult but the class itself was awesome. Definitely recommend
