Accounting is a hard corse but he really tries to help you. he randomly takes attendance and may give extra credit. he gives you resources for extra help. you definitely need to study. he also has an extra credit raffle for students who participate. would recommend

Very cool guy and is fun to be around. Professor K makes accounting 1 my favorite class of the semester. Will start up a conversation at the slightest mention of the SC Football. Only negative is a lengthy grading process (we did not get our 3rd test graded until after the final). Very open to class wants such as changing the final date/ material.

Professor K made learning accounting fun- he is so up beat and tries to make a difficult subject easy to learn. He even incorporates a queen of the day which is something i look forward to every week. He's learning from his past semesters of teaching and will do his best to help students. Online textbook is required, but he has a solid reason due to having a full time job, which makes it easier on him to grade HW. In class partipartion raffle for 1% extra on final grade, this semester around 4 students can win.

Professor K was great I loved his class, his class is still challenging though as it is a hard class. He does care though and tries to help you with his class, he actively helps show how accounting helps you in real life. I wished he taught more classes as I would've definitely signed up for them.

I had to really work for a C because of how difficult the exams are. BUT this is coming from someone who isn't a good test taker. The homework, group assignments, attendance, etc. was super easy! He's HILARIOUS, caring, incredibly smart, and an overall fantastic teacher. I hate accounting but I'd retake this class just because. 100% recommend.

Prof. K was literally my favorite professor this semester because he makes learning a difficult subject, easier to digest. He provides lots of resources outside of class to help you feel prepared for exams and review sessions are extremely helpful. Wish he taught ACCT 2 because I would retake him in a heartbeat.

Professor K has to be one of my favorite professors I have ever had. I personally find Accounting pretty boring but his personality makes the class not feel like a chore to go to. He offers multiple chances for extra credit and has responded to my emails within the hour even late at night. Tests are pretty difficult but I would recommend him.

Professor K was engaging, funny, and excited for students to participate. He takes account of participation and does a little raffle at the end of the semester. His office is small but he does a good job in office hours of getting to everyone. I enjoyed how personable he was and I enjoyed how many real-world examples he gave in class. Def take him!

Professor Kanczewski is engaging and lively, definitely a ton of fun to have class with. He is also super approachable, making it easy to ask questions without feeling too intimidated. Additionally, he is very accessible, both through email and office hours. Overall, a good time.

Made accounting interesting and fun. Tests are tough but supplemented by extra credit opportunities and easy homework assignments.

I thoroughly enjoyed his class and actually looked forward to going. Be prepared to study and put in the work but Professor K is engaging and provides you with all of the material you need to succeed.

Professor K makes Accounting so much more bearable, he has been one of the best professors I have had at UNCC. He is energetic and makes the accounting lectures interesting but still getting the point across. Don't get me wrong Accounting is hard but he gives you everything you need to do well, but it is soooo IMPORTANT TO STUDY FOR EXAMS!

It is definitely worth taking Professor K for accounting. He is a very entertaining teacher and does his best to make the lectures engaging. He is also an industry professional and provides plenty of useful real world lessons and examples. One of my favorite teachers I've taken thus far.

Professor K was a great professor and I wish I could take him in the future! Accounting is hard, but he made it fun. Over the course of the semester, we had five tests, weekly homework, and one group project. Professor K graded all of the in-class, paper exams on the same day. Professor K was very willing to help students outside of class.

If you did bad in this class u didn't try. Prof K had so many resources for tests & hw yet his test averages were low which is insane. Acct is not easy but the amount of support provided by Prof K is incredible & made it easier. He does take a lot personal, including the bad grades, but he's funny & a great prof. Esp. compared to other 2121 profs.

He's really solid and sets you up for success in future classes if you just do the work he asks you to, which isn't much. You'll have maybe 7 homework assignments a semester and about 5 in class activities. He's easy to work with and makes accounting about as fun as it can be, especially for non-accounting students.

Professor K was great! He made sure to provide us with all necessary resources and offered up much of his personal time to help. He is a wonderful teacher and makes the material relatable! While accounting is tough, Professor K made class enjoyable and clear.

Prof. K was amazing. Since its an intro course, it is difficult due to having to learn a lot of new terms, but as long as you do the work and study u'll be good. A lot of people including me used his office hours to review material and ask questions, so if theres anything you struggle with, you should go.

At this juncture of all junctures, I would say that prof. K is the best professor I've had at UNCC. Despite there being a gigorious amount to learn in accouting 1, he makes this particular iteration of this course easier than ever. The class is hard, especially since it is dense and with traps. However, if you do pay attention to class, participate to clear your doubts, and guide yourself through the processes Professor K suggests, you will have an A. He is very kind and explains clearly, may rush a bit but will backtrack and reteach if asked to. Great experience

Most of your grade is exams, making up 2/3 of it. He's an engaging & funny lecturer. When explaining concepts he references real examples & makes exercises & study guides with explanations in the answer key that mirror exams heavily. Often late with posting study guides & homework. Helpful during office hours. He is passionate about your success.

Great professor all around. Engaging in lectures with guided notes, personal anecdotes, etc. Tests are the main portion of the grading, but really not as bad as people say. Inspired me to pursue a career in accounting.

You get extra credit by showing up to a few out of class networking events, but also not needed as long as you do moderately well on the other assignments and show up to class. You learn a lot of important information about career growth and internship opportunities. Generally easy, a few short papers and once a week hw assignments.

What can I say, the man is iconic. He made this boring but necessary class very enjoyable. It's a few easy hw assignments and 2 reflective essays, very chill

Take 2121 with Prof K!! Accounting can be a tough topic to grasp especially if you're learning it for the first time, but Prof K was very accessible outside of class. If you're struggling, GO TO OFFICE HOURS! My test avg went from a C to an A with his help! Other than that, he really cares about your success and is such a gem :)

Honestly if you failed this class that's on you cause he provided students with so many resources and is lowkey kinda funny. This is a pretty hard class but he was always available during office hours, gave extra credit on final exam if you showed up to his club meetings, and every single test I took this semester had extra credit built into it.

Very good at what he does while still entertaining! Its a hard class but everyone was given so many resources and extra credit. The reason he didn't get a 5 star is because at the beginning and middle of the semester he took ages to grade things.

Prof K is great at what he does! He gives you the chance to get 8 extra credit points on the final. He gives plenty of study resources for exam. 2 mini exams, 3 full exams. Highly recommend him. I don't usually read textbooks, but it helped with this class!! Did assign homework and study guides last minute at the beginning of semester, got better!

Funny guy but was fairly difficult to follow if you don't have background accounting knowledge. He did his best to fluff grades near the end, though.

This professor has definitely been one of my favorites so far. As long as you study, review the study guides he gives, and pay attention you will most likely earn a high grade.

Amazing professor. He delivers the content of the class in a clear and understandable way. He makes it so that it's very doable even if you have no background knowledge of accounting. I'm a biology major and this class has been a breeze thanks to him. Very funny. Frequently reminds you about upcoming assignments. Overall 10/10. Take his class.

Great guy, very friendly and his class is as entertaining as you can make an intro accounting class. Gives you TONS of opportunities for extra credit (read ALL instructions at the start of each exam and you'll see what I mean) and his study guides are very clear. Overall very supportive and encouraging and it was a joy having him as a teacher!

Professor K. was a super enjoyable professor to have. He had a great personality and his attitude made the class actually engaging. You can tell he genuinely cares about students' success. For 3300, you write two papers, do a short assignment weekly, and take a quiz at the very end- that's basically it, so it's a super easy, but very useful class.

Prof. K was incredible! A bit lecture heavy but he made it really interesting and used good anecdotes to tie into the material. Super entertaining! The material is only hard if you don't practice and he does do three random attendance checks but you can get half credit for them. Would 100% take again.

Professor K cares about his students and it shows. Attendance wasn't fully mandatory but going to every lecture helped by listening to how he explains accounting. His lectures are entertaining and exams were pretty chill.

Show up to class and engage in the lectures and you will do fine. There is extra credit throughout the semester and tons of very helpful practice material before exams. The material can be a lot sometimes, but it is a college course, so that can be expected. Put in the effort and it will show.

Professor K is the best in the accounting dept. He's so entertaining, and I truly enjoyed his class every day. He is very accessible, even after the semester ends. For 3300, it's a lot of easy workshops, EC, and feels like therapy for stressed/confused accounting majors. Take it sooner rather than later, ideally while taking Intermediate I.

Great professor, you can tell he wants his students to succeed. Material is difficult, but he tries his best to help everyone understand. He will work with you if you need an extension/accommodation on an assignment.

Professor K is awesome- such a great dude who obviously cares a ton about his students. Summer class was a little tricky due to the pace but very doable. If set aside 1-2 hours most days to study, take notes, and do the homework, you'll be fine. Would strongly recommend for accounting.
