Great Professor!!! Really enjoyed his material. He is articulate and knows the English material he presents!!
Awesome professor! I would recommend him to anyone. Knows his stuff. Very easy to understand, doesnt grade harsh, laid back and very helpful. Gives you plenty of time to complete essays.
Mr. Keeton was a great instructor like 99% of the instructors at BRCC. He explains what he is looking for and puts info on BB with PPP's. Print out PP's, and you're on your way to an A. If you got an A in 101, you will get an A here. Just apply what you learned in 101 and you will be alright.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Gives you plenty of time to complete papers, posts powerpoints online, posts grades on BB, always lets the class out super early, as long as you turn in an assignment you'll get full credit, final essays are graded pretty easy. I'm taking him again for English 202.
Take him. One of the best professors. If you struggle or not he will help you. Very laid back, but gives you all the info you need to pass the class. Highly Recommend.
Great teacher, took him for the once a week class and always let us out early. Very clear and understanding. Uses modern examples to help clariy information. Not to stingy on grading, if concerned a office visit will fix your problems. Gives PP's every class period and uses backboard very well. Great teacher
He IS very laid back, gives pp presentations for assignments and post on BB, sometimes a little slow on posting grades but other than that fair grading, not much feed back. If you have a question he will clarify fully. If you know how to write essays you will do FINE, he will accept late work but be warned he WILL take 10 points off - no excuses!
You have to go to class b/c he will give in class writings. Very great with presenting analysis of readings. Uses PPT but you do have to take notes. Answers all emails and works with you.
I took him for 101 i passed with an (A) i highly reccomend that you take him. He grades very good on the paper and gives good information. Please take him best teacher for both of these course..
Amazing teacher, easy,
This guy is everything a college professor should be. This class isn't a cake walk, but an A is very attainable if you put in the effort. He is very understanding and reasonable. I personally loathe taking English classes, but if I had to take another one I would hope he is teaching it.
I took him for the 4 week course over the summer. it was very fast class at 7:30 am. He's very understanding and laid back. Very clear on things for the essays but I had writers block most of the time. Make sure u submit everything on time and read the ppp. Will b taking him again
He grades tough. If you show interest and concern for your grade, he will appreciate and consider the effort. I'm not sure if this is considered as he grades, but I believe it helps. Suggestion: start your paper the day the assignment is introduced. Overall, he is highly picky, in a way that's kind of unnecessary.
I found him easy but the class's consensus was that he was tough. He never kept us longer than 20-30 minutes. I will say that his very last paper was pretty hard. You have to give a speech with it. Midterm & final are the easiest assignments he gives.
Professor Keeton is a great instructor and has realistic expectations of his students. If you follow his instructions you will do well in his class.
I took Professor Keeton for ENG 101 and 102. Since then, I have received a considerable amount of positive recognition from other professors related to my literary and writing skills. In other words, if you want to excel in life, take his classes.
The definition of an amazing professor! Provides you with the information to further your ability as a writer. Treats everyone with respect and is friendly. You will have to put in the effort and work for your grade. His feedback on my paper helped me accomplish a better paper each time. Show up for class! Will take again for English 102!
Although many people in my class said he's a tough grader, he is not hard but not easy either. Nice guy though. No he will not read your paper bc he expects u to know how to write one. Read whatever he assigns before class bc he gives online quizzes & in class writings on it. If u came fresh out of English II & are a decent writer, you will pass.
I'm good at English and I made a B in his class.. Also we started off with 30 people and finished with 8.. his problem is that he grades too tough.
proffesor keeton is a great professor and I enjoyed his class. EVERY CLASS IS SUPER IMPORTANT. so go!!! he told us at the beginning of the semester to buy a book, and we never used it, SO DO NOT BUY IT. he is also a super tough grader. good luck :)
Mr. Keeton wasn't one of my favorite professors, missed classes due to an injury on the job. All of teachers were so understanding expect him, he was unfair and rude. Instead of being concern about helping, he didn't care that my grade was suffering along with having a doctor excuse so I can fill in my gaps. So glad I was able to graudate with a D!
I thought I was going to enjoy this class but I was wrong b/c most of the work Keeton had us to read were not important in American lit, boring, and recycled from his intro to lit course. Smart but tough on everything especially the 3 papers. If you are not a decent analytical writer, you will NOT pass. Gives 4 tests & in-class writing responses.
Ive taken Mr. Keeton for 4 classes, and hes my program director. His classes are not easy, but you do actually learn and become a better writer. I dont understand the bad ratings, hes nice, laid back, and he knows his stuff. I think that most of his bad rating look and sound like a 3rd grader wrote them says a lot.
Hes hard, but If you come to class, pay attention and follow directions, youll be fine. Always answers emails super quick when youve got a question, and hell also look at your drafts in his office hours, which helped a lot!
At the beginning of the class I did not think I was going to like Professor Keeton or the class. But as the semester went along I started enjoying it more and more as we read stories that were more enjoyable for me. He is a fairly tough grader, but he is clear on what he wants, and he is readily available to answer any questions you may have.
Mr. Keeton took over mid semester when our instructor left. He seemed mean at 1st and gave lots of work, but I learned more with him in a month than half a semester with the other guy. Ill take him again for 1013.
Prof. Keeton is amazing! He is, however, a very tough grader. He will make you a better writer if you do what he says. He was also very understanding about my disabilities and worked with me. Powerpoints are always on canvas.
Mr. Keeton is no non-sense. He teaches exactly what you need to know, and all assignments are linked, and make sense in the REAL word. He doesn't assign fluff or "artsy" type papers, which I REALLY liked about his class. I am taking him again for American Lit, and wish he taught British Lit. as well.
Well, I messed up. He warned us you had to come to class or you would be completely lost, and I didn't listen. I missed almost half the classes the 1st month thinking this would be a breeze like English 1013, but it's much harder. He's a solid teacher though, I'm going to drop and retake him in the 2nd 7-weeks and actually go to class.
He's a great teacher! He is clear on what he wants and reviews what we had to read in class with a power point. He knows what he's talking about and doesn't make you feel dumb when you ask questions. Grades fair because he tells you what he wants.
Ive had Prof. Keeton for two semesters now and hes awesome. He is pretty tough in 102 but not as tough as he is in 101. There is a group project but he grades presentations very fairly. If you arent interested in working hard and putting in effort, dont take Mr. Keeton. He puts all his notes online but I highly advise going to class anyway.
I was dreading American Lit. but Mr. Keeton was great. We only read the big names and important stuff, nothing too weird. Even though some of it was difficult to get through, he makes it easy to understand in the lectures. I LOVE the fact that the class is OER. No textbook required, he provides all materials.
Just finishing up a 4-week class with Mr. Keeton and it was tough. He's an amazing Professor, and even though the class was very hectic and moved quickly, he made it very enjoyable. He was very encouraging, and kept us engaged and motivated. I think I learned more in four weeks with him then an entire semester in my 101 class at LSU.
Was a savior to out class . very clear guidelines do the work and you will pass
He took over for our horrible Professor that left in the middle of the semester, and this dude was like a saint compared to the previous professor. Very understanding and kind. He was tough, but not impossible. I really wish he had been my professor the entire semester, I would have learned so much more and done so much better in the class.
Really good teacher and is quick to email back but if you dont go to class you will probably fail but he gives you everything you need to pass the class
Just finished his 1023 online class and I really liked it. His class isn't as visually appealing as other online classes I took, but the materials are clear cut. He doesn't do a bunch of busy work, or have useless information, each module had a few smaller assignments leading into and directly related to the paper for that unit. Not overwhelming.
I picked up Mr Keeton from this site the reviews are honest an real. He is a good teacher as long as you do the work pay attention and dont miss class youll be fine. He graded quick so you dont have to wait on graded assignments.
I did not enjoy this class. You will never get a break, hes constantly assigning irrelevant work to fill the weeks when youre working on a paper. He also grades very tough, I felt like I could never do anything right in his class.
Mr. Keeton was great. He took over my online class half way through the semester from a professor that quit. Then coronavirus hit. It was a crazy semester to say the least, but he made everything as easy as possible during both transitions. The class was tough, but he's fair and caring.
Mr. Keeton is tough, but his class is good. We read some difficult texts, but he broke it down in an easily digestible way. Even after Covis-19 forced us from a face to face to online class, he posted fun videos to help us break down the text.
It was a hard class, but I liked it. I wish we wouldn't have had to go to online classes, I liked his class better as Face to Face since his office hours were very beneficial to me.
His online class is clear & right to the point. He doesn't bog the class down with tons to sift through, and he has everything organized and easy to find. We only had 4 papers, which is typical, but all smaller assignments in between are helping you to build the paper as you go to build , from concept to structure to research. No useless filler!
I was scared going from a face to face class to suddenly being in an online class, but he made the transition as easy as possible. Instead of requiring us to still have live Zoom lectures like other professors, he took the time to make video lectures each class. Had he not done this, I would have had to drop the class; I had kids to tend to.
Mr Keeton really cares about his students advancing in the class. He does not give grades, you have to earn them. He is very helpful if you do not fully understand assignments and is quick to respond to emails. He is a true English professor.
I just finished the remedial/1013 hybrid with Mr. Keeton. It was tough, but he's a really good teacher. We learned so much, so early, that when we transitioned to online it was actually pretty easy. The class is a lot of work up until midterm, and then basically just using what you learned after that until finals!
I just finished the 4-week 1023 class and it was tough! Mr. Keeton made a 4 week bearable though, all the assignments were linked to the bigger essay, and no filler or pointless busy work. He's always available to answer emails; I don't think he ever sleeps, I emailed once at 2 am and another time at 6 am and he answered right away. Super nice!!
His summer Lit. class was great. I was scared to take online, but he posts video lecture that break down the texts well.
Mr. Keeton is tough, but I actually learned a lot. His online class had a simple layout, and he gets you into a routine of assignments with each essay. I really liked this, because I always knew what was coming next, even when we started a new essay. I took his Zoom class, and lectures were short and right to the point, he doesn't waste your time!
I was scared to take American Lit. online, but it wasn't bad with Mr. Keeton. Pick has us only reading significant authors and tied it in really well with the time periods they were writing in. He posts video lectures for every story that really help break up down and to tie the texts together. The class is also OER, so no expensive textbook!
Doesnt give very good feedback on some assignments and was kind of rude when I emailed him about it.
Mr. Keeton is great. I am took his 1023 class and loved it. I'm not sure why he would get a negative review about his feedback, it's great and very thorough. He was always happy to elaborate when I email him. I guess that person was just a moron and didn't know how to check their feedback, even though he's said how to do it a million times.
Mr. Keeton is truly the best English professor at BRCC. He was so helpful and available when I was struggling. I'd take him again in a heartbeat.
I loved Mr. Keeton's American Lit. class. This was absolutely my most favorite English class I've ever taken. He is such a nice guy and was always willing to go the extra mile to make sure I understood the concepts.
Give very good feedback on all assignments and was kind of amazing when I emailed him about it.
A great teacher for learning to write. He makes it easy to learn and do a good job if you pay attention. There is reading. He focuses on argument and some was boring, but everything is clearly posted in the class, which was great. English isn't my favorite, but I feel like I've learned a lot about writing.
Class has about 5 essays to write BUT are somewhat easy due to her structure of the class, and how everything is pretty much provided for you. He focuses on argument, which I didn't know much about until he taught the class. VERY USEFUL! He is pretty dry and right to the point, so don't let that offend you :)
This professor is great. I finally feel like I can write a college essay because of what all he taught us. He's helpful, willing to take extra time to help you improve and pass. There's reading, but it's an English class so it's expected, and it's a writing class, so again, writing is expected. He does have high standards but helps you get there.
Just finished a 7-week class with Mr. Keeton. He sets the bar high, but helps you get there. At 1st, he seems intimidating but he is EXTREMELY helpful if you ask during office hours or email him. I really improved my writing with this class. Take him if you want to learn!
This class all depends on the student. He tells you everything you need to do and how to approach the class. He sends out weekly reminders. Lectures are videos. and he breaks down the readings well and tells you what to take away from them analytically. I thought the class was easy, others hated it, but some people just don't want to do any work.
Extremely class. Professor clearly likes what he does and puts in a lot of work. You will learn lots of interesting things in this class. He gave us everything we need and the clarity couldn't be better. He is an easy grader. I did well on my essays, the only reason I got a B was because I was lazy and didn't do some of the smaller assignments.
He is a great teacher. His lectures are very interesting. Do the readings, take notes, pay attention, and you will do fine. He breaks down and analyzes the texts for you, and that is pretty much what you are asked to write on.
A super easy quiz for each story/poem, paragraph long weekly writing, and 3 papers. He is very responsive to emails and very organized. He expects a lot out of his students, but works to get you there. I did not mind the class simply because I knew what to expect each week. If you like a schedule, take him!
Its my first literature class and I am very happy with them. He is a very good Professor.
Mr. Keeton is hands down the best professor I've had at BRCC. You definitely have to work for your grade, but his expectations aren't unreasonable and he helps you get there. If you're a decent student, you can get a C without much effort, but you'll need to actually apply yourself if you want anything higher than that.
I cross enrolled in the class from a bigger University because his class is so much easier. Unless you're a complete moron, you will pass the class easily with an A or B.
I took Dr. Keeton for Comp. 2. We did a lot of work in the class, but it was mostly really easy smaller assignments leading into papers. I liked the fact that we had a lot of grades, because I didn't turn in a few and it didn't hurt my grade because we had so many. They also really helped understand the info leading into the big essays.
Prof. Keeton gives great feedback on essays. His class is difficult, but he keeps things interesting and gives you everything you could need to complete his assignments. Every week he gives assignments that lead up to the essays such as topic selections and annotated bibliographies. Those assignments made doing the essay a lot easier.
Professor Keeton is not mean, nor does he give too much work -- he just expects college-level work out of college students. Don't turn in mediocre work and think you're somehow entitled to an A. But as long as you put forth the effort, you should do fine.
Being back on campus again was tough, but Mr. Keeton was very understanding. His class is almost like an online class with face to face lectures. When I missed class, it was easy to know exacrtly what was covered and keep up, since everything is posted online. He was always quick to respond to any questions and never made you feel dumb for asking.
Professor Keeton is great! I would take him again if I needed to. He makes his classes quick and gets straight to the point. His lectures are easy to understand and he is not boring to listen to. As long as you do well on the essays, you can easily pass this class. He is very nice and understanding.
His Comp. 2 class was great. He teaches exactly what you need to know to do well on each paper. The way the class is broken down makes it easy and not boring at all. We spent about 2 weeks focusing on a specific type of argument essay, wrote it, then moved on to the next essay. The material is connected, but it's not the same stuff over and over.
He dosent give much work but also dosent give you alot of time to complete the work either. He comes off very blunt and harsh sometimes which could lead you to put pressure on yourself to do well. I did end up dropping his class.
He dosent give much work but also dosent give you alot of time to complete the work either, probably because I signed up for an 8 week course. He comes off very blunt and the point, which sometimes which could lead you to put pressure on yourself to do well, but since I'd rather someone baby me and just give me an A, I ended up dropping his class.
Dr. Keeton is awesome, he really knows his stuff and cares about his students.
I would love to take any of his classes, even if they are not required for my major. He's very caring and makes the material very interesting.
Mr. Keeton is the best professor, program director, advisor...he's pretty much just the best at anything he does at BRCC. I'm so glad he was over my program. He helped me immensely with my writing and is the main reason I graduated at all. TAKE HIS CLASSES!!
Very quick grading assignments, and I could always use the feedback to work on the next assignment and do better. He is also not opinionated, or biased. He presents a topic and leaves it open to us to pick a side and argue. Some professors want to sway you to their opinions, he doesn't, he just wants you to focus on the writing and getting better.
Fantastic teacher--best I've ever had! Clear, passionate, understanding, intelligent!
Overall Professor Keeton is a good Professor. The only thing I disagree with is his policy on allowing students to make up any assignments that were missed due to personal reasons or things beyond our control. I understand that all classes are done differently.
Does anyone even use this website anymore? It's such a joke.
Great teacher! Provides great material, lectures, and feedback. Responds to any and all questions. Very caring. Highly recommend!
His lectures are very informative and interesting. I got a midrange B on the first essay so I was a little worried about my writing abilities, but he gave great feedback that helped me get an A on the next one and progressively got better with each essay. My writing really grew a lot. Assigns work that makes sense. Very happy with this class.
If you have this professor and you are a moron like the person who left the review below me, good luck!! Professor Keeton gives great feedback on assignments, there is not a lot of homework at all, and literally no tests...like I said...that person is a complete moron! If you aren't a moron though, you will do fine in the class.
Awesome professor, awesome class. Loved the fact that it's OER and I didn't have to buy an expensive textbook!
Everyone loves an easy class, but when I took Professor Keeton I realized I didn't learn ANYTHING in my easy A English 1013 class. I had to work very hard in this class to catch up, but Dr. Keeton was amazing at helping me outside of class and reassuring me that I could do the work! I learned so much in this class and feel confident going forward.
He is the best, super easy and interesting! He did have a copy of the book in the library to checkout for three hours. I would take him for 2173 but 7am class isn't for me. I would recommend Mr. K to everyone. Just remember to attend class, do your work and you will pass.
Plain and simple...AMAZING! Take Professor Keeton.
This was my most favorite English class I've taken at BRCC. I'll definitely take Mr. Keeton again if the opportunity arises.
Imagine the best Professor in the entire world. Now multiply that by 50 and you will have Mr. Keeton.
Professor Keeton is an excellent English teacher. You don't have to buy a textbook for his class which is really nice. His PowerPoints contain all the information you need. He is very structured and straight forward. He is a tough grader, so make sure you proof read and submit your essays for editing in Smarthinking. Excellent communication too!
You can tell by Professor Keeton's demeanor and video lectures that he is passionate about the subject.
This course covers an extensive range of topics in limited timeframe, resulting in tight deadlines for the assignments, but the class is set up in a way to make this easily doable. He demonstrates high consideration and responsiveness to student concerns, and his grading standards are significantly better than other professors at BRCC.
A wonderful professor, his lectures are informative and engaging, I really look forward to the lectures.
YOU SHOULD TAKE!!! I took Prof Keeton online over the summer because his RMP was good, and this is easily the best class I've ever taken. Clear grading criteria, VERY POLITE, offers so much extra help, and is an extremely fair grader. DO NOT AVOID TAKING THIS CLASS.
The best organized online class I've had since I've been at BRCC. Every time period is a module set up the same way. It's so easy to follow. Assignments follow a standard pattern, long papers due at the end of each (2) unit. He answers emails almost immediately & is so helpful and nice!
This is for ENGL 1013 for the spring semester. Mr. Keeton was my favorite teacher this semester! He is not super easy, but he gives great feedback on assignments and you actually learn and get better. Take him!!!!! She's soooooo nice too. Answers email almost immediately. I can tell he cares about students.
Highly recommend him because he gives thorough explanations for papers and flexibility on what topics can be written for them. He does accept late work with only minor points off, still possible to be late and make an A.
Mr. Keeton is one of the best teachers you can take. Unlike many of the teachers at BRCC, he actually cares about his students no matter color, creed or religion. Furthermore, If you want to learn how to be a good writer, look no further. Mr. K is very knowledgeable about so much, and he explains very well. Thanks Mr. Keeton!
Dr. Keeton is an unforgettable English professor. The way he handles his course is very straight-forward and simple, making it obvious that he wants you to pass the course and learn a great deal while doing so. If you're in need of assistance he'll be there for you, waiting for your questions so that you can succeed in the class.
As expected, this class had a lot of readings. However, Keeton is such a passionate, involved professor who highlighted the significance of these works in a way that made them really enjoyable to read. He is supportive of your growth as an individual. If this content interests you, take the class!
Keeton is responsive when you email him. However, the grade in the course is heavily weighted unequally by three major essays. He grades the first one super tough and warns you that it can determine your final grade. If you do poorly on a single essay, you will never be able to make a good grade in the class even if you do well on everything else.
Mr. Keeton is very responsive when you email him. The grade in the course is heavily weighted equally by major essays, as would be expected in a college Composition course. He grades extremely fairly, and if you do poorly on a single essay, there are enough assignments in the class, that you will still be able to make a good grade in the class.
Mr. Keeton is very helpful and kind.
He is a wonderful teacher. He helps with any question or problem you have in and out of class.
He is a thorough grader but explains his work clearly . Be ready to read, but his materials are very clear and right to the point. He's understanding, and is an awesome professor.
He's so sweet & caring & super helpful!! 10/10 recommend!
Keeton is an AWESOME professor! He gives back great feedback on all assignments. He cares for his student's success more than anything, and wants them to learn. You will pass if you take him and also learn a lot from his class.
Too challenging
If you do not do great on one essay, you will never be able to make a good grade in the class even if you do better on other essays. He doesn't give an extra credit. He is a great teacher because he answers the email quickly. His response will be a no (no excuse and no resubmission). Be careful not to make any mistakes it will cause you to fail.
Tough grader.
He is a tough grader for sure. He doesn't allow resubmission or extra credit. If you want to get a good grade you must write an excellent essay.
Dr. Keeton is a memorable teacher and if you take his class, you will remember him. He pushed me to excel in his classes and I learned a lot. Yeah, it was not the easiest class I've ever taken, but it was worthwhile !
While I did not do well in this class at 1st, I ended up with a B. The class gave me my first taste of college expectations. I did struggle, but I found myself with a renewed sense of purpose and love for English. I'm so very grateful for it. While it wasn't easy, I did love the experience. This class is amazing.
Mr. Keeton has a clear way of working with his class. Up to this point, I honestly had little interest in literature. He's given me a whole new look, and I am deeply grateful for that. He's detailed and organized. People who are lazy will not do well. Reading is not really an option it' a necessity, but it's a Lit. class so what would you expect?
This is of my favorite classes I've ever taken! Dr. Keeton is great, and I loved the material. He gives great lectures, and is always available when you email. Make sure to do the reading because he gives quizzes, but the readings were all really interesting and I might even go back to some in the future. Couldn't ask for a better semester
Without a doubt the best English class I've ever taken. A bit scary at first, but he teaches you how to actually write, not just how to string together an essay. He's very understanding, knows how to get people engaged, and just makes the entire class and the material interesting. Its the one class I actually looked forward to every MWF.
Very straightforward and simple class. He teaches based on a hands-on approach rather than having you bury your nose in the textbook. He's also incredibly friendly and will gladly have a conversation with you outside of class. Very relaxed and creates an amazing environment that's very conducive to learning.
One of those professors that understands you have more than one class to worry about. He gives plenty of time to do any assignments due and will always ask if you need help or have questions. Do take notes in class though and make sure you read the readings also, which are very interesting.
Mr. Keeton is really cool, I loved his class even though I wasn't really interested in the material. He gives readings but it's not much. The papers are not that difficult if you pay attention: the usual. If you plan on missing a lot, or not doing the work, it won't be a fun class. Otherwise, you'll be fine.
Dr. Keeton is HILARIOUS! American Lit. is obviously one of his passions and you can tell he enjoys teaching it. I found it hilarious how he would seem no non-sense but sneak some dry humor into his lectures. So recommend! After midterm, found out the class wasn't required for my major, but I kept it anyway because it was so enjoyable.
Awesome guy. Has short video lectures for all readings, to help you understand. Only gives small assignments during the week (short 5-6 question reading quizzes), longer assignments (easy 1 paragraph writings) are assigned over the weekend to give more time to compete. 2 papers and 2 tests. He gave us weeks to work on papers.
Very nice guy and entertaining as well. Somewhat hard to follow sometimes, but you will do fine if you try and ask questions. One of my favorite professors.
He's way laid back, but you will get a lot out of the class if you put a lot of yourself into it. He's really interested in you understanding why you are doing the assignments and how they help the writing process, not just "because I said so".
I took Mr. Keeton for dual enrollment, so he was chosen for us by the school. I liked him a lot more than my Comp. 1 professor. He really cared and he showed that he really believed all of us could do well in the class. He took the class seriously, but he also was a little funny, and tried to make the class fun.
I took this course online, but that meant nothing to the prof. Despite having my own life, obligations and schedule, this class was treated as a synchronous class, much like an in-person structure. But this was Online. Assignments would often be opened the day it was due. It is strictly the professors schedule. It makes this class very difficult.
Liked his class the material confused me at the same time but very sweet professor, always answers emailed questions right away and eager to explain in more detail when confused.
Mr. Keeton is a great professor and a great person. He is willing to help you anyway he can. You do have a weekly smaller assignment (very easy), but they all lead into the essays, and help you do better on them. There are 4 essays plus your midterm and final, but the two exams are very easy and meant to help your grade in the class.
Professor Keeton is laid-back but engaging. While the class has high expectations, he provides valuable feedback to help you improve. Unstuck ai and the free textbook are great study resources.
It was weird taking an online class for English and it took weeks until i was really into it, but once i was doing the work, the class was a breeze. Love how organized the class is, very easy to get into a pattern.
If you want to keep it 100, do not take this course/professor unless you really enjoy writing essays because the course has about 4 and a optional 5th. as well he is not that great at giving feedback in my opinion as well the way he explains how we should write the essays is so complicated, it's like giving yourself an aneurysm.
professor is awful, ask you to submit papers to a website he provides for peer review, upload the ticket to show you did it, and still grades terribly. he doesn't give out a rubric prior to, just a outline
Awesome professor. He is very interesting to listen to and a caring person. He will provide LOTS of office hours and support you as much as he can. Participation matters, but he will not judge you for bad essays. My writing ability improved a lot since he gave ample and honest feedback while being emphatic.
Thanks Mr. Keeton for not making this course stressful! Just use your resources such as your class materials, brain fuse, videos, office hours, and ask questions if you need to and you'll do fine. Online is a bit self taught so make an action plan for completing the course or any if you take an online course.
This Professor really cares about the success of his students. I took an online course. I had a few hiccups along the way, but Professor Keeton really worked with me. I highly recommend him.
Keeton is a really nice guy and makes him self available outside the class and the lectures are videos. I recommend rewatching them to better understand the content as the papers near. Only a few test that are easy he takes what he taught you but makes the options super easy and obvious to help you.
Great class. Lots of reading, but manageable. Only two papers, and smaller writing's feedback help you do better on the papers.
This is a legit class. You will learn to write better and he's a serious professor but he also makes it very easy to get a good grade. The materials in the class tell you exactly what to do in the paper, he gives tons of feedback and you can email him with anything and he'll get back with you, sometimes within minutes!
very good professor. Expects a lot out of you with essays and grades EVERY detail. He will point out exactly what you need to fix so you can improve on the next assignment. Essays gradually grow in word count and be sure to REACH THE WORD COUNT. Read the instructions very carefully and reach out if you are unsure about something. Would take again.
He's a great teacher I took him for all my required English classes.
Great Professor and I learned a lot, but the class was also very easy. Well organized and the assignments all build together weekly, no busy work or pointless assignments!
He works so well with students. You have to do your work to pass but by far the best English teacher I've ever had!
