International Scholar, Star of Stage and Screen, and Old School Beefcake!
Will debate in class without letting it become personal. He also won't grade you poorly if you dissagree with him. Overall, he was one of my best teachers during my 5 years at EC.
Funny, funny guy!I would recommend his classes to anyone. You'll learn a lot and have a great experience.
Sometimes he makes sense, sometimes you go: What?
This guy is one of the most knowledgeable profs out there. Take Pols 390 from him first b/c all other classes are 390 applied to a given part of the world. Marsupials Rule!!!!!
Funny guy who makes political very interesting and relevant, even to soulless business majors.
Take this teacher, he rocks.
Very hard to understand, and the things that he covers were not on the test...wow...don't take him...
Funny and insightful
I've taken just about every class he teaches. He really is a great professor. He can be difficult to understand at times...just do the reading, try to pay attention, and do some outside learning...you'll be fine.

He is hilarious and knows his****.
Even if you hate politics, take his class. The sheer entertainment value of each and every class is totally worth the $400 or whatever it costs these days.
He is a very entertaining individual, but he is hard to follow. He is all over the place. His exams are impossible, which make me recommend someone else. Go to lunch with him if you want to experience his entertainment value, don't take his class.
Awesome professor. Knows the material very well. Tough tests and papers, but he's definetly worth taking.
Goes fast in lecture, hard to keep up with notes, read book chapters before class helps, tests are hard (they don't ask for definitions or anything like that) and he grades papers relatively hard for a non-english teacher
WORST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD!! If you want to hear someone talk about how much he knows, and what a great person he is...then take him. If you actually want to learn, take a different teacher. Someone should tell him "the more arguments you win, the less friends you have"
Absolutely knows his stuff and is very funny. If you keep up with the reading, read the articles he e-mails, and take notes you will do fine in his class.
He is a very interesting person. He goes thru the chapters really really fast so make sure to pay attention in class and then go home and read the chapters over again. Warning: if you don't know much about poli sci, then i wouldn't take this class 'cuz you'll be lost
He's a great professor. Yeah I know his exams are really hard but if you pay attention and listen in class you'll be fine. I recommend him to anyone that needs to take a pols class.
What a hillarious man! The class is very hard though, make sure you read, read, read. Listen and try to take good notes...tests are HARD!
He is full of himself. The only thing I learned about Politics was his point of view about them. I wouldn't recommend this class to anyone!
excellent teacher, tried to be as moderate as possible during class. he has a very interesting way of integrating pols in the news to everyday life. the exams are not that hard, and the papers arent bad. i highly recommend this class.
Very intelligent. Knows the material very well. Very funny guy. Hates the town of Rhinelander.
Hardest exams I've ever taken, he doesn't teach anything, and it's mostly his point of views. Don't take this professor he's not funny, kind of annoying if anything.
He's a very smart guy, knows his stuff. Tests pretty hard but not as bad as I though. Papers farily reasonable. Funny with political humor.
Wonderful sense of humor. Perhaps the best political prof. on campus.
Super funny teacher, witty, pretty tough grader, but if you're interested in the material you will enjoy the course. Has a pretty realistic view on things.
He's a very interesting teacher. You'll have a ball in his class. But don't be fooled, it's not a cakewalk. The tests can be pretty hard if you don't study, and the papers can be difficult if you don't spend some time on them. Also, he can move quickly during lecture, that's my only complaint. Overall one of the coolest Profs I've had yet.
Absolutely hilarious...half the time you remember the material he teaches because of the funny line he taught it with. He'll make you work - lots of writing papers and the tests are definitely not easy - but you'll want to come to lecture every day just to
Steve is one of the most enjoyable profs I have had throughout my 7-year college career. His lectures are NEVER dull!
very helpful and understanding when you seek out help from him. you have to approach him first though.
Tests are a breeze if you ATTEND CLASS. You don't even have to read much of the book so long as you know and understand the key terms and ideas he brings up in class.
Great guy and very funny! His lectures are never dull and makes every class enjoyable. Tests aren't bad, make sure you understand the key terms and if you have any questions talk to him and he is very helpful!
At first I thought this class was going to be a drag, but he makes it worthwhile to go since he is very entertaining and keeps you in his lectures. The test are somewhat hard but you need to make sure you study or you will not do very well. Otherwise all we have to do is write one big research paper with 3 test and the final.
Makes you think.
hes soooo funny, it def makes the class worthwhile!! the reading gets a bit long sometimes, but you have such a long time to read it. def take him, you'll never regret it!!!
He's the biz. He's very engaging and wants you to learn. He makes even boring subjects interesting.
One of my favorites! Has great conversations above and beyond course material. He really wants all of his students to learn and grow as individual thinkers. Participate in class! Do the reading! Seek out his classes.
Steve is an interesting man. Keeps lectures funny and very informative. His tests were difficult, but not if you pay attention in class. Doesn't really use the book. Has a thing for marsupials. Take him!
He keeps lectures exciting and can be pretty funny. Sometimes he seems a bit arrogant. You NEED GOOD NOTETAKING skills to take this class. There's no powerpoint everything is pure notetaking which makes the class hard. His exams- VERY hard. Study your butt off! If you study ALOT and understand politics and take good notes you'll do well. Biased.
His tests are horribly hard, the book takes forever to read, and his lectures are boring. I've gone to every class, read every chapter, and studied my butt off--I'm still struggling to bring my D up to a C. All other grades I've gotten at UWEC are As and Bs. He has interesting perspectives, but it's not worth it. The tests suck.
He is a great professor. Very funny and knowledgable. Just pay attention in class and know what chapter you are on. His tests are somewhat difficult, but the semester paper is graded fairly.
very smart, very opinionated, very funny and random during lectures. make his day and actually do the readings and participate in class. that way you can avoid him ranting about how we should all just be assistant managers at burger king.
I thought he was a great teacher, definitely the best one i had this semester. His lectures were interesting and entertaining as well. The tests were hard, but im sure if i would have studdied i would have done much better on them... Overall it was a good class, i would reccomend it.
Funniest teacher I've ever encountered. Very wise. I highly recommend to everyone to take this class. He's the best professor I've had here.
Funny as can be. He explains material very well. Just be wary around finals week. I wrote so much on that exam that I thought my right hand was going to fall off.
Perhaps my favorite professor of all time. Professor Majstorovic is very smart, interesting, appropriately difficult and incredibly hillarious. I'd suggest him to anyone who wants to learn and have a good time while doing so.
Steve is the man! I enjoy his critiques of...well...everything. He's an amazing lecturer and pretty damn funny. You'll learn a lot. I almost dropped out of college until I had a class with him.
Majstorovic is the MAN! He knows obscene amounts about the political system, but isn't a tool about showing it off. His tests are hard, he has an 8-10 page paper which isn't terrible. If you want help, he gives it. By far the best teacher UWEC has to offer. He's also random and hilarious.
By far one of the most interesting, entertaining, and easy to listen to professors here. I HATED poli-sci before this, but now I have a much greater grasp of the class. Attendance is not "required" but you miss out on alot. Fun lectures, challenging class.
Steve is such an interesting guy just as himself. He is from Bosnia and will tell you about his upbringing. Somehow marsupials become involved, which then leads to Plato...really random until he gets to the point, at which he is the best teacher in EC. I will never toss my notes either.
One of the most entertaining professors I have ever had. His enthusiasm for the subject matter and his warped sense of humor made me not want to miss a lecture. He has insights on everything from Marsupialism to the dystopia of Utah.
Really funny guy and understands a lot. He will def help you if you need help and its really fun to be in his class. I really enjoyed being in their for his lectures and i was always made sure to go to his classes!
I became a political science major just for this professor. He is awesome! He keeps finding interesting ways to keep the class engaged. He jokes around with the class and is just a genuine person. Take him if you can. The only problem is that he is a pretty tough grader, but this is true with all of the poli sci professors... toughest dept....
He is really funny, I liked his class. Make sure you read the chapter before coming class. His test are hard
This class was hard for a 200 level course. He expects a lot out of students. However, he is funny and definitely keeps you engaged. Just be prepared to study a lot and take very long exams.
Hard grader, but that's how the entire poly-sci department is. The difference here is that his witty comments and stories make you want to go to class. Best teacher I've had! Definitely take this teacher if you have the chance!!
Absolutely a great prof! He is hilarious and the class isn't very hard. His tests are fair, and cover whats in lecture. Take him if you can!
I don't understand how he got such a good review. I took this class because he did, and now I am regretting it. You definitely need a background in politics to even try to keep up...in an intro class. Makes references that only about 7 people in the class understand. Tests are really difficult.
He is a great teacher. Classes aren't mandatory, but it would server you well to attend. For an intro class it is kind of difficult, but it is taught in a way that you must keep up with current events around the world to understand what he is talking about. I am glad I took his class.
He is a very interesting prof. He has many witty comments and loves discussions with his students. He's a little intense and can get mad if your not up to par. Tests are extremely hard but not impossible if you take good notes and read the book. He's been my favorite poli sci teacher so far.
A very funny prof. but a very hard class. lots of reading! if you work REALLY hard you will get an A but an A is hard to come by.
Extremely hard class, he does not teach well at all. Notes are almost incomprehensible when he writes on the board. Highly recommend never taking one of his classes.
The first thing you should know is that this is by no means an easy class. Steve is a very funny guy and his lectures are always entertaining. His tests are very difficult if you don't study, but there were people in the class getting over 100% on them (curve). 8-10 page paper, but given entire semester to finish. You will definitely be entertained
Very funny and entertaining man. He knows his material very well, yet it is not an easy class. He expects a lot, but you learn a lot as well. 2 Exams, 1 Essay, 1 Paper, and attendance make up your grade. Overall a very good professor
A little intense for an intro class but he really knows his stuff! Tests very hard but not impossible if you study well. Grades the one paper easy as long as it's your own work. Very good teacher if you are ready to work hard!
Very hard class. I studied a lot for this class, and still didnt do well. Exams are over about 5 chapters that are each 40 pages long, you do the math. I took this intro class to learn more about politics, instead its being jammed down my throat. If you dont have any prior knowledge of POLS do not take this teacher. He is funny, but not nice.
Very interesting class but tough for a 102. Definitely not an easy A. He's a really smart guy and is really forward and funny. It's worth taking this class if you're willing to read.
A very entertaining professor who definitely knows what he's talking about. The class has a lot of material and the reading drags on a lot, but if you pay attention in class, take good notes and read the chapters, it's not too hard. I looked forward to days when I had this class, but don't expect an easy A.
Very, very entertainig. Go to class, read the texts, and participate and you'll do fine. The tests are all essay and you really need to know your stuff.
He was hilarious, but got off topic too much for my taste. If you pay attention, take good notes and go to class, this shouldn't be too bad of a class.
Majstorovic is the Serbian-American philosopher who once told a generation: "Marsupialize or stay in the pouch." (ps you should do the readings. 2 short papers and 3 essay exams)
I had him for intro to pols and he was my least favorite professor. He is kind of a jerk and comes off very rude. He got off topic WAY to much. In my opinion he one of my worst professors. Avoid him.
This guy is hysterical. very critical of the world and he teaches you how to call bs on things in the world (news, politicians, media) Makes class super fun, interesting, even if the class is a little hard.
Gets way off topic. Discusses wearing depends. Is extremely unclear. Expects way more from a 100 level class then most 300 level professors. Does not teach.
Good Professor. If you do the readings and show up to class(which is harder than it sounds) you will do well. Most people do not like this class because the readings are LONG. But he is very entertaining, and the class was worthwhile. Also tests are hard.
Steve, made politics interesting. While the readings are long, if you show up and take notes, you can get away with skimming the chapters for key concepts. Tests are fairly hard, but he gives a generous curve.
Easy class. Does NOT expect a lot from you. There are three MULTIPLE CHOICE tests and one research paper. Go to class, even if you don't want to and take notes and you will be fine. He can come off as offensive, but he just tries to get you thinking and be funny. He's a good guy. Not my fav prof, but totally fine to take.
This is probably one of the most interesting courses I've taken. You will look at the social and religious cultures that make a state successful. You'll want to go to this class, lots of laughs in the peanut gallery and it helps if you're not a dunce. Help this bro out and do the reading. It will be challenging but if you take good notes, no prob.
Not satisfied with this teacher at all. He makes fun of the class constantly about how we should attend cosmetology school or work at Arby's because we don't know something we're being taught and he makes the class scared to ask questions. He may answer emails but that is about it. Not recommended.
Hilarious, intelligent, and very insightful. The class may not always be on topic, but thats the point. Take at least one of his classes because he is hilarious.
He expects students to do the readings and gives lots of pop quizzes. If you read the texts closely, you will find the quizzes really easy. He has a really dark sense of humor and it's really entertaining. Top quality class if you're willing to put in the effort.
Steve is a great guy. He gets off topic a fair amount, but that's what makes the class interesting. The test's aren't that hard if you attend class and study a little bit. Very enjoyable.
This guy really gets what teaching is all about. He is hilarious, insightful, easygoing, and intelligent. He answers questions well. His tests are on par with the lectures. No homework, just multiple choice tests and an essay that he lets you have fun with at the end. Favorite instructor in all of my schooling by far(and I'm not even a POLS major.)
He is a funny guy. gets off topic sometimes but still lets you know what is important. take notes and read the textbook are my tips and you will do fine. three test and a paper are the entire class
Maj is so cool. Can be offensive, but in a hilarious way. His class wasn't easy, but that could be because I never opened the book. Just try to take a lot of notes on his lecture. One of my favorite profs at EC.
Majstorovic is brilliant! I didn't think Id ever go anywhere near pols and he inspired me to change my major & everything. Funny, intelligent, and charismatic man. Great stories. Sometimes repeats jokes, but overall an exceptional professor. I cant wait for my next class with him!
Majstorovic is Brilliant! I absolutely loved this class. His passion for the topics inspired me to embrace Political science and make it my major. He's funny, intelligent, and really knows his stuff. Great stories and jokes, although he tends to repeat them. Just a really great professor and if you put in a little work you'll do great in the class.
Majstorovic is great! He really knows what he's talking about and generally keeps the class interesting. Has a dark sense of humor and can be offensive, but hilarious. Do NOT procrastinate on his term paper, it is worth more than the final and is the only assignment. Highly recommend for those interested in pols but not sure about majoring.
Majstorovic is one of the better professors I've had. He often likes to say outrageous things, but it forces students to actually think about tough questions. He has a deep knowledge of the topics he teaches. Be prepared for a lot of reading quizzes. Think of something to raise during discussion to avoid him condemning you to a career at Arby's.
Dr. Majstorovic is really hilarious! Lectures go by very fast but readings are very long. Very tough grader on both papers and exams. Exams are all essay so be prepared to write a lot ! 2 exams, one midterm and one final and 2 papers.
Honestly one of the best professors I have ever had. Funny, entertaining, realistic expectations. I will definitely be taking another one of his classes.
He's kinda all over the place with his thoughts in lecture. Great guy, just not as organized as I had hoped.
Very hard to keep up with the material if you don't read the book. He lectures very fast and barely writes anything down. Extremely funny but not the best at making the material comprehendible.
I really loved this class. Prof. M makes it interesting but can be really opinionated and doesn't let anyone else express their opinions. Expects a long paper but you can choose the topic and grades very fairly. The tests are hard but if you know the material you can pass no problem. Texts are a must.
If you read the book it is easy to folllow along during lectures. Steve is funny but he get off topic very easily.
Steve is the funniest professor I've ever had. Even though he doesn't give really specific study guides, if you pay attention in class and do the readings you will do well on the tests. He expects you to read every chapter and gives quizzes on the readings as well. He also grades attendance and participation. He's a funny guy.
Lots of reading required for this class but he chooses good books that aren't traditional textbooks. Really interesting to listen to and very funny. 3 exams, 1 Essay and 1 long research paper.
Get ready some some dad jokes and bad puns! Overall the class was ok. Exams were easy if you attended classes and took notes. If he finished with the lecture early he holds you until the end of class which is very annoying. Also he doesn't use D2L and you will go the whole semester without knowing your grade.
I thought I had some political science interest before taking this class, and now after I realized I do not. His lectures are boring and hard to follow along. You need to read the book and go to lectures which are both long and boring. The last final paper literately saved my grade because the exams are hard but he is a funny guy!
Isn't the easier prof. His tests are extremely difficult and have questions to the little things he mentions about during class. Gets off topic a lot, but says some very entertaining things. Would not take again. The research paper at the end of course helps you out a lot for your overall class grade.
This professor is very opinionated and will talk for hours on end. If you are taking one of his classes make sure that you read and re-read the textbook as much as possible, also know what is going on in the news and outside world. Tests are a major part of your grade and don't wait till the last minute to write your final research paper.
Hard to follow lectures, bad jokes, rude to students.
Excellent professor. Makes you actually learn the material in order to pass. Lectures are awesome. Fair and clear grader. No better professor in the POLS department.
I don't recommend him at all. His lectures are very hard to follow, his office hours are no help (if he even shows up), and his exams are all essay. Unless you are really interested in politics, take another class. His comments and jokes are of very poor taste and you learn more by reading on your own. Would not take again, ever.
He is a crazy prof! His class isn't necessarily hard, but there are a few pop quizzes on the reading, which you have to read a chapter for every class. He has been talked to by administration because he has really weird behavior, but he is really funny and makes lecture fun! Overall he is a good prof for this class!
I thought he was a really awesome professor, it's clear that he knows what hes talking about but does go pretty fast. Overall very funny and you will actually learn something in his class if you pay attention.
Probably one of the funniest guys I have ever met. His lectures are hilarious, but if you get offended easily probably stay away from this class. Read the chapter before the class because he likes to have pop quizzes and will always take attendance. Overall if you study from the study guides and do the reading you should do well. He is a great guy.
Even though the pop quizzes are outrageous, he is a fun professor and reasonable professor. As long as you show up and pay attention you can pass this class easily enough, but be aware of pop quizzes based on the readings because you will fail those without reading. however even if you fail every quiz you can still pass the class.
Very funny guy! he definitely makes you work for your grade. If you skip class, you're screwed because the lectures explain everything very well. Also, if you skip on a day there is a pop quiz, it hurts you even more. You don't need to read but it sure helps
One of the best professors of my undergraduate experience. He has quite the sense of humor which might occasionally offend those who are sensitive, but you can tell he's passionate, knows his stuff, and expects you to know yours too. Took 390 & 260 with Dr. M and learned a lot. If you're interested in other political and cultural systems, take him.
Don't take his class if you are politically sensitive. Depending on your sense of humor/political views, you will either find him hilarious or blatantly disrespectful. While this class was not terribly demanding, there is quite a bit of reading- two thirty page chapters a week to stay caught up with his lectures and do well in the course.
Dr. M is a great prof but he gives a pop quiz every week or every other week so you have to read to prep for that. he says a lot of stuff in class that might seem insensitive but you can call him out for it. he wanders off topic but he's pretty knowledgeable.
He insulted his ex-girlfriend's religion (which was also my religion, but I didn't feel comfortable confronting him) and made jokes about drugging his wife. I don't think he meant harm, but I know a lot of people felt uncomfortable. Those topics aren't appropriate in a classroom setting. Some people switched majors out of Politics because of him.
Whatever your opinion is, if it is anything against what he thinks, be prepared to be torn apart. He is very rude and speaks whatever is on his mind. He has a pop quiz about every other class, so read the chapters. Exams are very difficult.
Doesn't stay on topic for than a minute. Spends about half of class taking advantage of the fact that he has an audience by going on personal tangents absolutely unrelated to the content. After these tangents, he like to blame our generation for being stupid because nobody asked a question. confusing dude.
Oh my goodness, I love this professor! I'm a political science major and I wish I could take more classes with Steve. He does have pop quizzes, but if you do the reading you're fine! He takes the time to connect with the students and the papers and tests weren't that difficult. He provides a study guide and as long as you follow that you'll be fine
Steven Majstorovic is a great professor with ample knowledge of the material he presents. I would recommend anyone to take his classes due to his humor and creative ability to present information to the class. If you want an A in this course, you need to be an adult and do the readings, don't skip classes like a buffoon, and put effort in the paper
He gets off topic, but I loved his lectures and learned a lot. He's had a crazy life and will spice up class with some good stories! He puts his political views right on the table, no bullsh*t. If you say something he doesn't agree with he'll let it be, as long as you say it respectfully. If you don't, he'll roast you (in a fun way).
Be prepared to read, and read, and read, every single week. He talks very fast in his lectures and so if you don't read, you won't know everything you need for the exams. The exams are pretty hard, but don't worry, he does curve them when necessary.
I don't really know what else to say, except that everyone should have this guy as a professor at least once if they go to school here.
People who complain about this guy must be used to boring professors. Steve is a savage and keeps things entertaining every class. I always find myself laughing at some crazy thing he said during his lectures. Gotta take this man's class at least once.
Honestly, I thought Majstorovic was kinda mean. He was always crabby and called out students in a rude way for making mistakes. Aside from just that, I found this course to also be ridiculously demanding for a 100 level course. LOTS of reading on confusing topics. This was a required course for me and I'm not political science person.
Probably gonna get a B because of my own laziness but hes pretty great. Just read the material and youll pass. If you depend on the lectures you will 100% fail. Lectures are more of expanding upon and reiterating what the book tells you so just learn how to read and youll enjoy the class.
STEVEN! I love this man. He is right next to baby Yoda on my "would take a bullet for" list. Everyone should take this man. However he some downfalls. He teaches in an interesting way. Everything he says and writes on the board is all things that need to be written down and studied to do well on the test.
Okay, honestly, Steven is a Gem. I was really nervous for this class, but it ended up being my favorite class I have taken thus far. Best professor I have had by far. Show up, do the readings and ask critical questions and you'll be just fine. He goes on tangents a lot and they are quite entertaining.
STEVEN IS THE BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD! Love this man. He is funny, accessible, fun to talk to and so knowledgeable. He is easily my favorite professor I have ever had and you won't regret taking his class. Participate, do the reading and do the work, and you'll be golden
Worst professors Ive ever had. During COVID-19 he sent out passive aggressive emails and was a jerk. This man believes hes god and is super rude. Honestly, he just goes off on tangents and doesnt teach you anything. I only learned something because we read a lot. You will never know what your grade is and his exams dont make sense. Dont take.
Great guy but doesn't really give great feedback on exams. His rants made the dull topic of Europe very interesting and always hot takes on the political crisis of the day. Dont be afraid to counter him when he comes across liberal, he prefers to have these conversations with students
He is an alright prof. He is funny and makes class interesting, but he doesn't do a very good job explaining concepts from the book. Reading the textbook only helps for pop quizzes and the exams are based on what he talks about in class so take good notes. He says a lot of inappropriate stuff about his wife and other students so beware of that :/
If I could take every class with Professor Steve, I would. I tend to lean pretty far right on the political spectrum, and with that being said, Steve is the complete opposite. He will tell you this before class, and its his way of encouraging you to debate him. He pokes fun at both sides and makes class very entertaining. Read the chapters to pass
seems to get annoyed with his students. class is basically just reading the textbook and talking about it in class. only graded assignments are the tests and one research paper.
If you read your book, take notes during class, and have a sense of humor you will do just fine in his classes. He is not afraid to hurt your feelings and is extremely intelligent so prepare to get embarrassed if you decide to attempt to debate him. Overall I loved him as a professor
Dr. Maj does not make the class hard. He tells you on the first day to look for his emails (doesn't use canvas) and that if you don't read the chapters as they appear in the syllabus you won't succeed. If you read and pay attention to lectures, easy A. If you don't-- well then you are responsible for your bad grade. Good teacher, always interesting
Teaches a Hybrid class without using Canvas: are you kidding me? If you go to the lectures in person (can't hear the recorded ones) they're rambling and are only useful for his opinions that are on the test. 50 page chapter is assigned before every class. Seems generally annoyed by students at all times. Grade is off 3 exams, 3 quizzes and a paper.
Professor Majstorovic is a very funny guy and I enjoyed listening to his lectures. I just wish that he would run the class through canvas instead of email. The class is very textbook heavy and there are lots of reading assignments. Do the readings and youll be alright in the class. Also take solid notes during the lectures.
Majid is so cool. Can be offensive, but in a hilarious way. His class wasnt easy, but that could be because I never opened the book. Just try to take a lot of notes on his lectures. One of my favorite profs at EC.
He insulted his ex-girlfriends religion which was also my religion, and made jokes about drugging his wife. I dont think he meant harm, but I know a lot of people felt uncomfortable. Those topics arent appropriate in a classroom setting. Some people switched majors out of Politics because of him.
Terrible terrible terrible. With the few interactions I had with him thru email (which is the only platform he uses) hes been blatantly disrespectful and rude for simple questions. Seems genuinely annoyed by all students. His lectures are extremely hard to follow because he rambles on and does not use any form of organization like PowerPoint. 0/10
If you love email, prepare for a world of it. The professor didn't use Canvas once and the entire course was conducted through youtube videos and email exams. He decided online format (COVID-19) allowed him to grade even harder than he did in previous semesters. I've sadly had to take him for multiple classes since he's the only option.
I did everything from reading the chapter to listening to lectures and taking notes and I struggled on the exams. He is funny and makes a lot of connections, but it was one of my hardest classes.
Professor Majstorovic is very disrespectful and condescending! His class is not that difficult if you are good at taking notes. He only uses email because he refuses to learn how to use Canvas. The worst part is his disrespectfulness as he goes on very long tangents about his opinions during class that can be extremely politically offensive.
Hes a funny guy at some times but sometimes I wonder if hes ok. His lectures are extremely notes heavy and he moves at a very fast pace. Beware of quizzes on random days even if you have not covered the material on the quiz in class yet. If you take a class with him, read the book and take notes because you will most likely leave class confused.
I liked him a lot but doesn't use Canvas which is annoying, everything sent over email. No homework, just pop quizzes (if you pay attention in lecture they're easy), tests, and a few essays. Every class is a lecture, be ready for lots of notes. He's very knowledgeable and appreciates participation and questions. Funny too.
He's a great professor, he makes the lectures fun by telling stories and other things. A lot of these reviews are saying his sense of humor is offensive and inappropriate, this isn't true, you're just sensitive. His quizzes and exams aren't that hard if you pay attention and take notes. The only hard thing is he doesn't use canvas.
The worst class Ive taken here. Prof runs class only through email because he cant figure out how to work technology. Dont take unless you want to read a lot and sit through boring lectures.
His classes are not graded objectively. You need to think subjectively as the grading is based on 2 papers.
