He is a fabulous teacher! He definitely knows what he is talking about! All you have to do is pay attention and participate in what he is talking about. He explains everything and tells you exactly what is on the tests and gives you the answers. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him!!!

I had Dr. Maxwell in high school and again in college because he's really awesome. He cares about his students, super funny and full of stories. Although some people might not understand his humor, but once you get to know him you'd like him. He lectures a lot and his tests are verbal but they're easy if you pay attention.

I had Dr. Maxwell as my first government teacher ever. He is very Republican, and very open about his opinions, but he is very good at what he does. Just be respectful. His tests are completely verbal, not written, but most of his notes are just his lectures. Not that hard. It's all memorization. Memorize, and you'll get a 100 easily.

Professor Maxwell doesn't use Powerpoints or Canvas. Not being an auditory learner, this class was more challenging. The tests in this class are given orally, and so are lectures. There are only a few tests and an essay that calculate the final grade. Professor Maxwell has a sense of humor and has a lot of experience in this field. He is straightforward and gets to the point. If you are an auditory learner, this is the professor for you.

I took Dr. Maxwell for POS 2041 in the summer of 2019 and really enjoyed his class. The lectures were fun and if you study and memorize the material on his study guides, you should be able to get a good grade on his tests with no problem. He also assigns one research paper in APA style to be completed towards the end of the course.

The lectures themselves can honestly be rather boring, but it isn't the content which is truly important. Maxwell ties the content to reality in an incredibly inspiring and impactful way which gives meaning to a normally drab topic, and states reality as it is. Do not listen to any negative reviews, here's what happens. I am a visual learner and he works with me big time in terms of taking test. He enjoys to do his tests by auditory, but what I do is he allows me to take the test by paper. If you are a visual learner all you have to do is ask him and he will help. He is EXTREMELY accommodating!!!!!!

This isnt a handed grade, but Ive never seen such an adaptable professor. Test format changed for the better depending on how the class was doing and you wont have an indent on your finger after notes. Seriously you would have to sit down and ask Maxwell advice on how to fail because in the end there would be no one to blame but yourself.
