Best professor I have had so far. He is very intelligent and humble. Professor Shwiff, does not give easy A's. However if you work hard and follow the outline and readings that he assigns you will do well. He is very reasonable, and expects students to participate in class. His class has been my favorite that I have taken for my MBA thus far.

Dr. Shwiff is a well-educated professor who taught my intermediate microeconomics class. His class consists of three exams, all free-response, that test your knowledge over his lectures, which he was giving online through D2L. Even if you don't attend the lectures, you can still do well by watching the recordings. Highly recommend him!

He gives all you need to know for exams (100% of grade) in his lectures. However, his lectures are very long for no reason. He goes into detail about how to do the same thing in multiple ways, but then shows you how to do it in Excel in 10 minutes & that's what the exam is. I just went back & watched him do an example in Excel. DONT BUY THE BOOK.

Knows what he's talking about in the field. Tests aren't too difficult you can go back to lectures. However, lectures are very long and difficult to sit through completely.

Professor Shwiff's truly enjoys when students engage in the material and in conversation. Shwiff has a wealth of knowledge and enjoys sharing feedback/experience relevant to the topic. There were very few tests (3-4) and assignments were simple. I strongly encourage reading before class so that the class discussion can be used to augment the text.

Super easy class, we only has one assignment the entire semester which is done at the end. An excel assignment he shows you how to do it beforehand. His lectures are about 2hours long and he does take attendance sometimes. He's retiring soon 2023 might be his final year.

I absolutely loved Professor Shwiffs class! We had a Zoom call every Monday, and he did take attendance but also provided the recorded Zoom call afterward. I highly recommend attending the Zoom lectures, they were very informational. He is retiring after Spring 2024, and if you can take a course with him, please do!!! Hope he had fun in Costa Rica!

Perhaps this is because of taking him during COVID, but he was a little creepy and condescending. He is very knowledgable on the subjects, but I personally did not feel comfortable asking him for help or attending his lectures. Oftentimes will do lectures online at really inconvenient times.
