Good guy, but tricky quizzes and even harder tests. There is extra credit but still hard to get an A.

Sindell tells you exactly what you need to pass course. Has website which gives all the class notes, study guides, etc. Use the material he gives to pass the weekly quiz! Clear and willing to help via email/phone/etc. Wish more teachers were like this.

do not take this class. tests and quizes are very confusing only 1 person got an A in my class and it was a low 90 and he doesnt grade on a curve. avoid at all costs unless u like to work hard for a C

Class was a challenge 4 sure. If you work hard and study A LOT you can do well. I did, but it's hard. From what I've seen he seems the best of the law professors here. My advice, if you are unsure about Bus Law, don't take at SMC. The instructors here are ALL overly hard. Take it at another college.

Considering that some of the comments below were written by people with a sub-standard command of grammar ("himself is") and an adolescent sense of logic, I'm not surprised that the ratings are low. Sindell is a fine teacher. Law is hard and it requires those studying it to learn a new vocabulary.

Quiz every week and 3 exams during the semester. This class is not easy and therefore you will have to study and be prepared for every class. Study, study, study and you'll be fine. Study his notes and the book. Visit his website regularly and do the practice quizes and exams. Good luck.

Not an easy subject. If you read the material, study the cases, and follow along in class, then an B is easy and an A is possible. Test every week, 3 exams, and DON'T be late to class (or miss class).

His class is challenging but not impossible. I feel the questions were written in a way to actually make sure the student has a thorough understanding of the topics. I found the study supplements helpful.

Very helpful and very well organized. Set out what course plans were and has followed these to the letter. Knows subject well and shows great deal of respect for the students. One of the better professors that I have had while here at SMC. I recommend him highly.

I am taking Sindell's class at SMC (not online). His webpage is dynamic and always updated. His lectures are clear and helpful. He knows all students by there names and always encourages all to study hard. This is a great course!

One thing i truly got about Prof. Sindell is that he CARES that I learn the value of what he is teaching. He CARES that I KNOW that the tools and knowledge i learn here can save me Pain, Agony and $$$ in the future when i know the various concepts taught in this class. I felt profeesor Sindell was very clear explaining the material in the book by using examples to help us more.

Prof. Sindell is not easy but he does challenge you to learn the subject by putting in the work. Lots of reading but nec. I am taking this course on campus. Sindell is a professor that cares about his students and wants to enrich their lives with what he has to teach. He knows his subject well and uses great real life examples to help explain harder concepts. He's willing to go over something again and again until it is clear. I would highly recommend this class.

Prof. Sindell's lectures were very helpful in understanding the reading. However, doing one chapter per week is too overwelming for anyone who does not have command of English. So, pacing of the course should be slower. Quizzes/exams are fair & covers thoroughly each chapter. Again, one quiz per week is overwelming. How about 3 exams & 1 final?

Fair, knows the material well; not easy, but pretty straighforward. Early on he stated that is main interest was that we be left with a better understanding of contracts than the ordinary layman. I believe his teaching style allows for that. As a result, I am more comfortable and confident with contracts in my future.

GREAT teacher loves to teach you can see it by the way he wants to help out his students. great class but must be there and pay attention to do good(how school is suppose to be) LEARNED ALOT. THANKZ!!!

Prof. Sindell was great and he really wants you to understand the material. He uses examples that allow you to understand the info better and he uses a grade worksheet so you know what your grade every week so there's no surprises at the end of the semester. This is how a class should be taught and I reccomend him to anyone that needs Bus Law 5.

Professor Sindell is a very helpful professor. He explains and lectures in a way that the student understands. Not an easy subject for me to be honest, but he is not ther to trick anyone. I would recomend him to students wanting to take an on campus bus 5 class.

This class was a challenge. The material wasn't easy but prof. Sindell's lectures and supplements were of great help. He's stern, which may seem intimidating, but he's reasonable, smart and funny, the right combination to make a tough class interesting. To do well, it's a must to study and go to class. He's willing to help as long as you try!

Tough class, tough reading, but he was very clear about each chapter and very willing to help. I learned alot from this class. Im glad I took it with Sindell.

It's not an easy A and it's not hard either.I'm an on campus student of BL5 & I pity those taking this online. As long as you spend 2 hrs studying the chapter + 1 hour studying the problem cases per week, reinforce the material with lecture, this class gets pretty easy.Study hard for each weekly quiz and you dont have to study much for the midterms

The lectures were very helpfull. He makes sure you understand what you read on the book. It's an easy B in my opinion, but the one thing I didn't like it's that you can do very well on the quizes and still not get an A because the tests are a big chunk of the final grade. If you get Bs on the tests, it's very likely that you won't get an A.

His lecture is clear and helpful, but quizes and exams are hard.

On campus class: Found his lectures really clarified the complicated material. Quizes and test were difficult but fair. Thought his ability to incorporate his own case into examples was both interesting and helpful.

Requirements were clear and Sindell provided a lot of information on his website. Class was hard but not impossible to get an A. Worked on it one afternoon per week and did well.

If you are lazy & expect to just "get an A" then this is not the class for you. It isnt hard to do well in this class because so much information is given to you-but you must read and use it. Liked all the added info on website. Sindell is a good teacher-dont be intimiated by his technique. I got an A without killing myself-B or C should be easy.

This guy is great - I learned a LOT from him. His materials are well organized and easy to follow. Lots of reading and homework assigmements do require signficant analysis. He responds quickly to emails and will work with you to help you understand the materials. Really enjoyed the class.

Just finished online bl5 with Prof. Sindell. Got an A!!! This is my 5th online class and by far the very best. Every email I sent was answered THE SAME DAY! I really learned a lot. I saw the two negative ratings and figured that the students sending these werre probably pissed beause they did poorly. Class was great and prof. was even better

He was 1 of my best profs.I took a campus class in Fall'06.I read alot of negative reviews here but I had a totally diffe experi.I guess it could be cuz our class size was small.He was v helpful,listened to the students and kept explaining in differ ways to make sure everyone understood the chapters.He actually made me v intereted in the class.

He is perfect, very good teacher. he is flexible and he understands if a problem happens.

I have thoroughly enjoyed taking Prof. Sindell's class. I had my doubts at first because an online class has its limits. However, I was wrong. There were two comprehensive websites full of additional material that helped me understand the text and he was always available to answer all of my questions. Taking his class has surpassed my expectations.

The best prof. at SMC, bar none. Just completed class and got an A. He's the most professional and knows alot. I recommend him to anyone interested in law.

Great teacher. Took online 6 week class and he was very organized and straightforward. If you study you'll have no problem passing this class. Teacher provided sample quizzes and supplemental notes that were very helpful. I would recommend him.

Great professor. The class was hard but he has so much information available if you use it. Talk to him and do all the reading. Be as clear as possible on the reading before you come to class then you can ask questions. He is a fair grader and understanding, but he is tough. I would take his class again if I had more time!

Sindell is an awsome teacher. Its not easy but if you do the homework and study you will do well. He really prepares you for everything you'll need to know and there are so many sources to gain further understanding on his website. He always replies to emails quickly and he is also really helpful with any questions that you have regardng the law.

Professor Sindell provides you with all the tools necessary to pass the class, and succeed with an A. Yes you have to put some work in to it but he makes it easy to learn if you actually do the work. Learned more from this teacher than any other at SMC, recommend taking him.

He's a really good professor. He goes beyond what is necessary to teach the class by giving all the necessary tools to do well in the class. However, it is up to the student to take advantage of all the available tools. Section 1295 Hybrid.

1295(Hybrid). Take this class as you would an online one. Prof. Sindell is there to answer questions, but most work must be done by you. Don't make the mistake of making it a Class first then online. If you do, you'll fail. He's helpful, and very well presented. Should talk a bit slower, and not talk so fast. Overall good teacher but you MUST WORK!

Take this class if you are used to the methods of an online class, you have the advantage to meet once a week in campus but all the work is done online and you have to study on your own, he will guide you to the chapter subjects to give more importance. pretty straight forward work. the subject is definitely boring..unless you like Business Law. It's not as difficult as I thought it would be. Work load is fairly small. Just homework and quizzes, that's it! As long as you read the material and somewhat understand it, you can easily pass this class.

The best online profesor I've had, period. I read all other critiques and am convinced that the bad ones are from students who did not try. Sindell answered my emails within 12 hours and was very detailed. Great teacher!!!

This professor is GREAT! I am still enrolled in his class and I think he's the best teacher I've had in a very long time. He's very helpful, smart. Wonderful teacher. Probably the best I have had so far. The material is not easy but he does a great job of engaging students and making it relate-able. He grades very quickly so you know where you stand. I highly recommend this teacher to a student who actually wants to learn.

Good class. A lot of interesting material. Good case studies. He also has his own website that will help you understand the material. But if you don't put in the effort, you won't do well. Weekly homework and quizzes but nothing unmanageable. Put in effort and you can get an A.

This was an online class. He was good responding to emails with regard to general questions, but if you didn't understand the reading in the book, you were on your own (unless other students helped you). Law can be complicated so more visibility from him would have been more helpful.

Took online class. He provides very clear instructions and has a lot of supplemental information posted online for the students to use. He seems passionate about law. Instructor was not too engaged with online students but provide lots of online materials. Study the chapters and cases and you can do well in the class. Interesting subject.

Professor Sindell is the absolute best. He was able to give clarity for every bit of information we needed for this course. He is very intelligent and wants his students to really engage and understand the material. I would recommend taking his class over any professor. He has many resources available for you to succeed and actually learn.

Super organized and very clear, he has clearly gone through a lot of effort to put together a cohesive online course. Relative to other business courses there is a lot of writing for the homework, this isn't a bad thing. Interesting topic well taught.
