always late to class. he doesnt explain things all the way either, and his daughter always calls in the middle of the lectures.
I agree with the first comment he never fully explains his lessons. Gives unfair tests. Is always late for classes.
Very knowledgable, nice, funny but demanding. Will always help if YOU ask, and explain, available aftre classes. You have to really study and know the subject, no slacking off.

I had this professor for lab and he was pretty good. He never gave a multiple choice quiz. The quizzes where always fill in and you had to write like a paragraph. But he gave a lot of partial credit. I liked his labs but some people didn’t and he always let us send him the lab reports by e-mail (that was nice).

He is a very good professor, he teaches very well. However his TESTS are all Essay questions which are difficult!!!!
Honestly he's a great professor. He is very knowledgeble and expects you to become knowledgeble too. You have to listen to every single thing he says in class and write it in your notes. I suggest using a tap recorder. If you want to learn something and than some, take Skinner. Test questions are all in essay format. Talks on the phone too much.

Taking Skinners class was one of the most unfortunate things I have done in my College career. Not only are his tests essay but they are extremely hard. He also favors certain students and would actually give the answers so some and not others. I don't advise anyone with a life to take this course.
He is a good professor. He gives rather fair exams, but the ESSAY exams can be tricky.
I had him for bio 12 mid-semester. He's a very good professor. He teaches you in a way you can understand. Always answers your questions. Exams are essay form. All questions on it you know the answers to because he taught it but its difficult to answer only because his questions aren't so direct. You kind of need to guess what he's looking for
Excellent, very respectable teacher. Very clear and informative lectures. However, very VERY challenging exams. They're mostly essay form. Few people get good grades but if you work toward it, read the material, and way more importantly UNDERSTAND the material... you will succeed!

His exams are very hard to pass. He base most of his class on exam. Hes good by responding to questions you have . He ruined my career, either i was receiving a "D" or "W" kcc doesnt accept anything below a B- for nursing. worst mistake of taking his class!
Explains good, he gives nice examples, jokes sometimes. But yes his exams are hard, and at first they are essay form, but on the next lecture or lab, there is a follow up multiple choice. essay questions are veeery tricky, every answer has to be in detail.
He is good lecturer but his exams are extremely hard, 90% of students dropped him. His exams are very difficult & they are in essay format. His multiple choice exams for lab are just as hard. He makes it impossible for you to pass his class. HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT HIS STUDENTS PLEASE DON'T TAKE HIM IF YOU WANT TO GET IN THE MEDICAL FIELD.
You can ask for help, but he doesn't provide that. He barely replies to emails. The Majority of students dropped him. He ruined my career. You would think since its 6weeks & so many students dropped he would curve. HE is the worse prof ever! HE DOESN'T PROVIDE A WAY FOR YOU TO PASS HIS CLASS DO NOT TAKE HIM!!

I took his class and i really enjoyed it. He really wants you to leave his class having learned something. His tests are essay format but if you come to class everyday and take good notes you should be okay
He's very passionate about his work and very approachable. His winter bio class is challenging so you do have to pay attention and take notes. It's a lot of information in a short semester. Essay exams are challenging but lots of opportunities to get partial credit, multiple choice were almost impossible for me.
Great professor! Took him during the winter semester. Lots of material, however he gives you everything you need to succeed. He really wants you to gain knowledge and I really respect him for that. One day we will have to use this knowledge medical people, won't we.
It is a very interesting class, I wish I can have Professor. Skinner for all my courses.

I never believed in rate my professor and completely ignored all the comments made about professor skinner. He has a great personality and will discuss topics with you but that still don't prepare you for his test. I personally thinks he want us to do well but he is going about it the wrong way. All I can say is that I think he to change is method

Best professor ever, I wish to have him for all my courses. Tough tests and he is given you a lot of credit with the test. He is very knowledge professor and give you a good feedback to all your questions. He will never make you to feel if you are studying. Lister to his lecture and the video from the blackboard and you will be good. Good Luck!!!
Very passionate about biology and entertaining! He really wants you to pass and helps you if you ask. Make sure to pay attention, everything he says is on the test, which is a lot. He also gives points when possible.
Don't give extra credit to help the students. Don't afraid to give you F without talking to you for allow you to know how you're doing in the class. .Don't take him.I don't how he can teach bio in kingsborough

Do not take him if you need an easy A. He is really passionate about his work and want his students to learn & gives great lectures but you still have to read a lot and work hard in order to pass this class. He's there when you need help and sometimes gives extra credit when the class needs it. Overall a really nice professor but tough grader
I can't for the life of me understand how all the recent feedbacks of this professor have been erased. The critical feedbacks have all been taken out? Why? He is not in this because he cares about his students. In fact he was the worst , most unprofessional prof. I'v ever come across. He's in it for the paycheck, not the love of the profession.
Cares about producing great Physical Therapist Assistants. Tough, as in the exams make you think. Concepts and understanding are more important that rote memorization. Exams are straight from the lecture. Lenient in demeanor, makes jokes. Great lectures. Shows examples well. Will try to break you down, show your grit.

No chance to ever learn from this professor. More than half his students dropped the class because, he is soo difficult. He gives essay exams with the most difficult questions that are not clear. He really doesn't care if the students comprehend his material or not. He really needs to start measuring student learning and change his method .
This professor is really tough, his lectures are fine but exams are hard, 6 questions only. Many students dropped his class, you would have to work really hard to pass. If you are going for medical field, do not take this class, it will stress you out! Take at your own risk, he's not that bad for a lecturer but exams could be easier though.
He is a good professor. Read before you go to his class so that you can have a better understanding of what is going on. If you work hard and do extra work he will reward you. If he realize that you are trying he will help you out.
Professor Skinner is engaging, funny but be prepared to work your butt off. Just know if you take his class you will learn so much more than other bio teachers provide but his exams are hard. Definitely made me immerse myself in BIO for 3 months, I feel prepared for BIO 12. Gives his personal email if you need help, use it. STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!
Professor Skinner the man the myth the legend of KBCC! every dept. in the school knows his name and how hard he is. BUT HE WANTS YOU TO LEARN. If youre the type that likes to study vocabulary and think you know everything.. drop him while you can!This man has taught me more than all of my sci professors ever did. Amazing professor! You will learn a lot from his lectures and lab. His explanations are very clear and interesting! His lectures are fun! I enjoyed this course of Bio and will miss his lectures! If you want to pass or get a good grade, you have to study and listen to him. His video lectures are helpful too!
what can I say? if you want F or D, go ahead and take him! 40 students out of 45 withdrew... That explains everything. No matter how hard you try, you will not get even B. He is a great teacher, explains everything very well, but when it comes to grading, he is the worst.

Yes he is a tough professor, but you will learn a lot. This man will teach you lessons in detail. He is not an easy A but you will learn more than what any other professor is willing to teach you. Its not all about memorization. Its about actually learning. Take him and learn on a masters degree level. Please please read the textbook. Its a must
Heavy grader, and test don't make any sense
Professor Skinner is a special person who takes the time to explain things in detail. You will learn on a whole different level. He expects more but as a result you will walk away with a much deeper knowledge. You will have to work hard in his class but in the end it will pay dividends for you. Reading is a must to get through. He is the best!
Brilliant teacher, made youtube videos out of all of his lectures. Willing to go the extra mile to help all of his students. All lecture tests are essay format, some questions were vague, & harshly graded.
Please dont take this class. He is very hard and believes his class is easy. He doesnt get you ready for his tests and its very hard. If you want an F this is that class to take. Makes me want to change my major.
I read the reviews but felt up to the challenge. I have a 4.0. I know how to study but somehow Im failing! He teaches the lab portion of my BIO11. I have 90s in the lecture portion with a diff prof. yet somehow the entire class has scored 27% and 60% on both *his* tests for lab. That gap says it all. Dont waste your time, money or effort.
Although I did not do amazing in his class, he is a good professor and he cares about people understanding the material since it has to do with future careers. Might make you not want to speak In front of your class & makes it hard to stay on track but overall just wants people to study and get the material.

Professor goes far and beyond to help students to succeed. He really goes out of his way to help you in different ways if he sees your effort. His lectures are from slides and he has videos of his lectures online. He genuinely wants you to reach a new level of education. I recommend attending all lectures, make good notes and study the book.

Skinner is something else. This has to be the worst professor I've ever had. His delusional ideology about understanding rather than memorization is absurd. Certainly a tough grader, and be ready to be completely lost because he never gives questions that are on exams he will tell you to go look at the syllabus. However, his lectures are great.
Please disregard all of the negative reviews!! Prof. Skinner is truly amazing at his job. Yes, you absolutely must study--This goes for any BIO11/12 class, but DO NOT FOCUS ON MEMORIZING. You must understand the topic first, and then the memorizing part comes later. Prof. Skinner will provide all the tools necessary, you just have to utilize them.
Professor Skinner is a true professional and a true subject matter expert. His class is truly difficult but I wouldn't have it any other way. He demanded that you actually learn the material and not just memorize it. If you pay attention and truly put the work in you can be very successful in his class and the lessons learned will help you for life

Class would be so fun and easy and hell make you feel confident but then his exams come up and they are in a whole different language. then after reviewing hell be like this question was just asking this... like why didnt you just say that?
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! The entire class was lecture-read textbook-take a test. He will teach you the basics about a topic, and the test will have you apply it in a foreign way. notes are pointless, quizzes are brutal, gives no extra credit or grade curves. The average score on our first test was a 24%, out of 40 students! so many ppl dropped
Proffesser Skinner was one of the most likeable teachers ive ever had. But what he teaches verses what is on the test is so different. It makes the tests unpassable
He is truly an expert in his field of A&P, this is the only good think I have to say. Started off the class totally braggadocios talking about how he was a gifted child. Class went online he made only 2 announcements 2 months apart, failed to mention test & quizzes were held after "optional" lab sessions. Tst/Qz questions were random and excessive.
I had him on my Bio 11 class. He is a great professor. He has great lectures. However, tests are hard. Tests are open-ended questions and require lots of critical thinking. If you are thinking to go to the medical field definitely worth having him even if it's super hard you will master great skills. His B equals to other A+ for sure.
Worst professor ever. All his quizzes and tests are not related to his lectures since he always goes off topic and he grades very harshly. If your writing is an A level he will grade it at a C level. His lectures are confusing and you will not be prepared. Does not curve or round the grade. He doesnt even give out labs only short answer quizzes.
Just because your a physical therapist doesnt mean that u physiology is ur thing. He doesn't explain things well and it's very hard to understand. U can study 24/7 and be very lucky to pass with a C. Not a good professor we had no labs or homeworks to boost our grade. He said one thing then the test is completely different U will fail if u take him

You can literally study for hours and you will never pass his exams or quizzes. What he teaches is not on the exams or quizzes. Nothing is good enough of a response for exams and quizzes which are all short answer no matter how perfect you explained it. You will learn absolutely nothing from his lectures and will be guaranteed to fail.
Dont take this class tests are too hard and lectures are always off topic. He males ot seem so easy meanwhile in tests its much different than from what you expected.

He doesnt know how to teach. He is a nice person, but VERY BAD TEACHER! For online class he only gives you one grade and doesn't split it for lecture and lab. It's not possible to pass his tests, they cover those bits of material we never spoke about in class. Only took him because all other bio classes were filled. Left with minimal knowledge.
DO NOT TAKE HIM!!! You will be stuck on his exams and quizzes. No matter how well you study and prepare yourself you are guaranteed to fail his class. He does not care at all for his students at all. No matter how much effort you put explaining in his quizzes and exams, the highest he will give if you are lucky is a passing grade. Not recommended.
Worst professor I have ever had in Kingsborough. Does not care at all for his students. He does not prepare for exams and quizzes which are extremely difficult. You can study all you want for an A but in reality you will get marked for what is worth an A for a C or D. Many dropped out, failed and are retaking this course. Good luck taking him.

Do not take his stupid class. In the beginning it's all fine and cool however later on when it becomes late to switch or drop a course u will see what a living hell it is. It is essays for all his quizzes and exams. Um excuse me but I thought I signed up for Anatomy & Physiology as a science major, not an English class.

Best professor ever! He is taught but if you put some effort, you will be thankful for the rest of your college experience. I took Bio11 and it was super hard, but 3 years later, every time i have a bio class I remember him. Right now, i am taking genetics at Hunter and while my professor is teaching, I already know most of the material.
Im currently taking the course but Ill most likely be dropping it. Its IMPOSSIBLE to get a high grade on the test. He is very unorganized in the lectures and hell also be very vague and then the tests come and its the hardest thing youll ever see. I HIGHLY advise you, if you need a good gpa, please spare yourself and get a different professor

Worst class I have ever taken. He sits for 2 hours and just talks, doesn't give worksheets or anything. Only thing he grades are tests literally so if you fail the test you fail the class. DO NOT TAKE HIM unless you want to fail. I dropped his class because he also doesn't give extra credit just the tests that are hard and make no sense. 0/10 hated
I've taken him twice now and I regret every second of it, lectures are fine there's a lot of material but when it comes to tests which are the only thing he grades besides one small assignment they are insanely hard. even when I tried my best to study he never tells you what to study for an exam all he says is "study all the material".
Take another professor. 90% of the material is from his lectures, but his exams are all critical thinking questions and written in riddles. The wording of his questions are frustrating, doctors can't understand. Attend lectures or else you don't know when the next exam dates. He is disorganized in lectures and didn't even use his own syllabus.

I literally drop his class (yesterday) on the last day of class. Worst teacher I've had, only gave 1 assignments for the entire semester, his test are difficult to pass, he will tell you to study a particular topic for the practical exam and then on the day of, he gives you something entirely different, he doesn't give extra credits.
Honestly convinced most people are upset he didn't slide them an easy A. His tests are very critical thinking intensive. It is not simple to remember this term and its definition. You have to know how different structures function both by themselves and in the system as a whole. He is very knowledgeable and helps those that actually try.
Had to drop this class after the second exam. He does not do reviews and anything you study, will not be on the Exams given. Neither does he give extra credit.

There were about 20 kids in my class and only 4 students finished and i know 3 out of 4 got a C or worse. save yourself
He's a good professor who makes funny jokes and teaches well but the tests are really hard. some or easy and some are hard depending on the topic. I advise you to know some anatomy before taking the class.

Skinner wants students to show their fullest potential and I respect that. His class is very challenging and he is unwilling to make it easier, so don't take it unless you're serious about going into whatever has this class as a prerequisite. Powerpoints and lectures are insightful but even with that, tests and assignments will be challenging
Professor Skinner is excellent and smart. He is really good at doing his job. His lectures are great and he offers side videos that he did himself which include everything about the material he is seeing in class. However, his exams are hard and require perfect understanding of the materials. His way of grading is hard but reflect what we did.
Probably the best professor I've had in terms of knowledge and lecturing, by far. Extremely knowledgable and a great lecturer. He expects as much from you as he gives to you. Very clear grading criteria. No extra credit, many short answer quizzes. He has supplemental videos of the lectures he gives in class, which are narrated by him. VERY TOUGH.
Professor Skinner's class is no easy feat, but worth the effort. The exams are challenging, so staying on top of the material by utilizing resources like the textbook and unstuck AI is key to success. Attend class and you'll learn a lot.
I've read a lot of bad ratings about Skinner.He is truly tough and rough grader and he does not get extra credit. his tests are mostly open-end questions. He truly wants you to know what you are doing and he's fair with grading so if you really study hard and if you know what you're doing you're getting good grades. If you are lazy-stay away.
Questioned whether I had a learning disability because of this class. Professor Skinner is a great person but as a teacher, I really do not believe he should be teaching this class. The test questions are worded in such a confusing way. He's not so good at answering emails either. Take someone else its not worth the headache.
I read the reviews before taking this class & was TERRIFIED. Now, I gotta say they were a bit dramatic. He is such a good prof. He tells a lot of jokes, explains things very in-depth, & gives examples that are relatable to make it easy for u to grasp. STUDYING is MANDATORY. If you don't, his tests will HURT you A LOT. I would take this class again.
