Prof Skopik is a great guy and a great teacher..not many class notes though

He always finds ways to make class fun and interesting.

skopik is the best bio teacher i've ever had. not only does he tell his famous stories and make everyone laugh, but he makes the classroom fun and gets everyone involved. he also pics good TAs for lab who are usually undergraduates and fun. he loves bio!

He's wonderful! By far the best bio prof. I've had yet. He's so organized and easy to follow, he also realy cares that his students get good grades. His stories are so funny and his teaching style really keeps you interested. Take this class!!!

A great guy & a great teacher. Lectures are fun/hilarious & he keeps it fairly interesting. Gives lots of bonus points, and we played BioBowl almost twice a week. Sooo much better than Hodson! Highly recommended! Make him tell stories!!

Really cool. The class was a lot of fun. He is probably the best bio prof at UD, as witnessed by his high ratings. call him Stevie D lol.. and listen to his tangents: some of them wind up being bonus points! Oh yeah, and don't let the semester end w/o hearing the watermelon story!!

OMG!!!! My favorite teacher ever!! He is soo nice and soo cute and he makes biology really interesting. He's really fair with grading and if he notices people falling asleep he will stop teaching and tell an interesting story. The tests are fair, and ur lab will bring your grade up. TAKE HIM!!!!

He is a really good and funny teacher!! He makes Biology interesting. And if you get bored he'll tell you a funny story to wake you up. The last 15 mins of the test and the last 30 mins of the final are open book. The tests are curved. We even play games in class to help us learn. TAKE HIM!!

Awesome teacher, keeps you awake. Tests have very tricky questions that are so hard that it doesnt even help to have open book for the last 15 minutes. I feel as though I deserved a much higher grade for the amount of work i put in for this class.

awesome and very sweet guy! you can tell he truly enjoys teaching. he makes class entertaining. i didn't find lecture notes to be much help--didnt go to class--got an A without going to class by doing a lot of reading and working with the website. tests are MC and can be tricky

Fun guy, VERY hard tests an useless lectures. I just found myself not going to class considering how little I actually got from them. Just read the chapters and outline them heavily and take that into the test since the last 15 mins are open note

Nicest man in the world and is so funny. **** and high story was hilarious. However, his tests are really hard, doesn't teach things very well, bio bowl thing is useless. THis is a class where AP bio is a must and he's a nice man bad teacher type.

Professor Skopik is the best professor you can get for intro bio courses. He is the nicest man and will do anything to help you do well. He also makes the subject interesting and breaks up lecture with quirky stories. He is Mr. Rogers with spunk!

Prof. Skopik is a one-of-a-kind. Very entertaining. Really wants kids to pass the class. Hard exams, however his curves are pretty helpful. The last exam i went from a 60 to a 74. His lectures are very broad but he has good TA's for labs and is always willing to help. Super friendly

My favorite professor ever. The only guy I know who I felt every single person was laughing with and enjoying his stories and digressions. Ask him about his kids...the micro"skopics".

Take this prof if at all possible. Despite the fact that you will have to do some actual studying, you may actually find yourself interested in the subject at the same time. Very helpful guy. Loves to chat with his students. Ask him about watermelon and brownies

Dr. Skopik is such an interesting guy. His lectures keep you awake, and he really cares about his students. Put the time into reading the text and it will pay off on the exams. Highly recommeded.

I took this class with him over winter session, and it was my favorite class this entire year. His lectures ar about half of him teaching and half about him (He always says Bio is the study of life, so that's how he justifies it). His class isn't easy. You have to read the book. His lectures supplement the reading, and his tests are tricky.

This is not an easy class but Prof. Skopik is fun, he will keep you entertained even if you're talking about the most boring thing on earth. He is very willing to help if you dont understand and will remember your name after you talk to him once. I recommend getting the study guide that goes with the book. Makes things alot easier.

Silly dude, good prof. He likes teaching and what he teaches. I would highly recommend taking him as your BIO professor. Tests were open book - but that doesn't make them easy.

Having Skopik will be one of the most memorable classes in college. His personality lights up the class and makes bio interesting. However, his notes can be all over the place, and he limits what he lectures on so you have to read the text. I would still recommend him over most other intro bio professors.

Skopik's funny and is a good teacher. Though he doesn't use the text at all in class, you should read it before tests to do well. If you sign up for his class, be aware that Nauen may be the assistant professor and she is extremely boring. Skopik makes Bio interesting and is always in a good mood. One of the best professors, would recommend to all.

he is the cutest old man ever. he is an interesting professor. he notes can be all over the place but if you read the text book and then read the notes again they will make sense actually. naik was much less interesting and hard to understand. pay attention to skopiks funny examples he may ask about them on the test

Professor Skopik is such a funny and cute old man, one of my favorite professors at UD. I have a problem with falling asleep in early morning classes, but I actually looked forward to (and stayed awake in!) 8am lectures with Skopik. You have to read the book to do well, but definitely take him if you get the chance.

The funniest and most interesting man on campus hands down. Kept your attention in an early morning class. Entertained while he was teaching. Just wish his lab TAs were of higher quality.

He is an amazing teacher. He is such a sweetheart and really loves what he does. His tests are a bit challenging but do the practice exams that he gives you to get a gist of it. Once you get used to the exam style you should be set! Very helpful and nice guy.

Professor Skopik is a great professor. He is a master of keeping biology fun and changes up the monotony by telling stories. I took his course during summer sesh and the 2 hour lectures came a lot easier than it should have. Plays games that help you study! Tests are challenging but if you read and attend lecture(a must!) you'll get that A

After the first few minutes of class you will realize that Professor Skopik is da man...His lectures are easy to follow, and he does tend to tell some funny stories to lighten the mood. Tests are a bit hard (the 15min open book portion is kinda useless).The lab final is nearly impossible. YOU WILL NEED THE TEXT BOOK!!Curvs Tests slightly.

He loves telling hilarious stories which make everyone laugh, even at 8am. I recommend you take him if you get the chance. He is the epitome of what every teacher should be.

Professor Skopik's lectures are interesting but the exams are tough and lab final is even worse. Exam questions are hardly ever stated clearly.

Prof. Skopik is the best guy you could hope to have over Winter session. Really nice old man, but this class is unforgiving in the short few weeks you have in Winter session. Lecture is interesting and review games are played. Tests are unforgiving and sometimes unclear questions. Pray you have a good TA for Lab, its a huge part of the grade.

Skopik is a great guy. Really laid back and really interesting to listen to for lecture. However, his test making style is extremely vague and questions are often unclear. The lab final and lecture final for this class are IMPOSSIBLE. There simply isn't enough time to learn everything you need to know over winter session. Good luck, you'll need it.

Very helpful and clear! Tests are not too difficult, and there is usually a nice curve. Skopik is very easygoing.

This class isn't a cakewalk but definitely passable if you put in a little effort. Curves every exam, tells goofy eccentric stories, and really keeps your attention for the whole class period. Take him!!

Very easy going man, God bless his heart. Textbook is definitely a must to read to prepare for exams. Lectures are a guideline. The teacher is great! Take him! Compared to other bio teachers he is definitely the most understanding and treats students with respect. You're more than just a number in his class. He wants you to do well.
