Brand new prof! Pretty nice, intelligent, organized. Willing to help, and doesn't dominate class time! So far, so good. I recommend taking a class.

Prof Tello is a good guy. Always in a positive cheerful mood, his exams are pretty straight forward. He provides power-point presentations via webCT for help on the exams. A real-world case study is done every week, and he gives out application assignments which just test your ability in MS Office. Great Class, Great Professor.

Tello is great! The subject matter is kinda dull, but he makes it more interesting. I would take another class with him, anyday. He seems to really care about the students and gets along with them fabulously.

Good teacher, knows his stuff. Use the review slides and prepare the essays ahead of time and you will ace the tests.

Professo Tello is a great teacher. I am taking leadership processes with him next semester. He's a good teacher and a good guy. He's really fair with grading and expectations. He's definitely able to make "less than desirable" subject matter seem interesting. Great examples, great use of technology, great teacher.

to be honest i thought i was gonna be lost in this course, but tremendous teaching machine Tello really made the subject clear and to be honest i actually retained some of the course content which is much more than i can say about any recent course ive taken, this guy knows his stuff and hell teach u very well, bottom line hes the man take him

I thought prof. Tello was an excellent teacher, and I took this class as a requirement but ended up really enjoying his class. He teaches really well, and he explains anything you don't understand. By far he is one of the best professors that I have had at UMASS Lowell!! You actually learn and use the information he teaches in your everyday life.

Prof. Tello is great. His grading is really fair and he tries to make the class as interesting as possible. Not much work is involved and his test reviews tell you pretty much what is exactly on the test.

Excellent teacher, although the material was boring most of the time he always had a smile and his jovial nature made it an excellent learning environment. Also he involves the students alot and has group activities which break the monotony of a normal class.

I find the subject matter itself to be boring but Professor Tello does make the class interesting. He has a good attitude and is very good natured. He is always willing to work with students. It is obvious that he really wants his students to learn the material. He is very up front with what is going to be on tests. No tricks or surprises.

The material is boring! So, I think that what makes the class an "average difficulty" class. Little slow on giving grades back most of the semester, but got much better at the end. However, still not the worst class I ever took at UML!

Prof Tello is by far the best professor for MIS in the school. The material still is boring as anything, but he cares about you and wants to see you suceed. Never opened the book once all semester except to do the case studies. The only thing that bites about this class was the attendance being taken. Def not the worst class @ uml, wait til OB!!

I believe that prof. Tello is a great teacher and does a great job at teaching the MIS class. He has a lot of knowledge on the subject and makes learning very fun and interesting. He defines the word professor, take the class if you want to expand your mind..Fair grader too

The material is extremely boring, but Tello makes it so that you can understand it. Powerpoints are a big help. Study the slides and correlate it with the book and you'll do fine. Any questions ask him because he wants you to understand not just memorize it for the test.

He is an excellent teacher. He knows how to balance the material as well as making it interesting for students. The weekly case studies are fairly easy and can help your grade if you do them correctly. He is helpful, nice, and its not bad for a required management class!

although the class was pretty boring but at least he tries to make it understanding such as outline it for you. He test was average but you really need to study the notes and the power point notes in order to get good grade.

He is the GREATEST teacher I've taken so far. He makes the class interesting and he interacts with the student. He's very helpful regardless of what the topic is about. He knows his material well and teaches it well also. I recommend taking ANY class with him. By the way he's sooo HOT! Love the earring!

Great professor! One of the best!!! The material is dry but he does such a great job that it actually makes the material interesting. He makes the students interact in class and his assignments are very reasonable. His exams are fair and he gives a study guide before the exam. This is probably the best course I have taken thus far. It was a brand new course but Prof. Tello is a wonderful teacher and did a great job. Two group presentations, one exam and a final, venture project paper. Highly recommended.

This was a brand new course, but Tello really made it work. I really enjoyed going to class because he makes you feel comfortable to ask questions or give suggestions. Used web CT a lot. He is very tech savvy! This was my 2nd course with him and will be taking him again next semester! Highly recommended.

He's an excellent professor, except he relies too heavily on PowerPoint. His exams can be challenging, reading the book simply was not enough, I failed both of them. The rest of the work (4 papers and a presentation) is where you can, and I did, redeem yourself. He scales exams, but lowly. I pulled away with a C+ after expecting a D.

One of the absolute best UMASS has to offer, he has a genuine concern for students and is always prepared for class. He expects a lot, but at this point in school you should be giving a lot. You will learn a ton and enjoy class with him, relies heavily on the website which is very beneficial today.

Hands down, after 4 yrs here, one of my two favorite UML profs (Moser is other)-- Tello is interested in his students' thoughts, passionate about the topic and prepared. Can't slack off, bc he expects a lot from you, but he's more than willing to help and guide his students. Everything gets put on course website. Thanks for a great last semester!

Tello is one of the best professors I have ever had. I took 2 classes w/him & wish I took more. He should be teaching Strat! He is very engaging. His exams aren't an easy A but he does give great study guides. But dont just memorize them, make sure you know how to APPLY the information. The case studies and project realy help to boost your grade!

If you're looking for an easy A, take it with someone else. Basically a class that takes easy concepts and over analyzes them. Great teacher, nice guy, but I wish I would've taken it with someone else. I could've spent a lot more time concentrating on my main courses than working on his tedious projects. (No offense Tello!)

A lot of work yes, But prob. one of my fav professors at the school. Very easy to talk to, and if you have problems with assignments will help you. Def need to buy the book, tests are on the computer which was hard, but tests were reasonable ( from the book) Def. worth taking this class with him, his way of class is all on slides, kinda like OB.

Steven Tello is an Asset to Umass Lowell and It's about time Dr. Freedman recognizes this. His classes are very entertaining and requires positive class involvement. Case studies are easy but make sure you pick your group members well!!!

Professor Tello is awesome! Tests are kind of hard but he gives you so many chances to get a good grade that the tests don't factor in to much. He is a lot of fun and probably my favorite professor so far! Take him if you can.

Best professor I have had at UML. Actually cares about student involvement and development, as well as class standing. There is work involved and projects can be tedious, but lets be honest we are all in college, got to do some work. Great guy just wish he taught more classes.

Great class but should have more exams instead of 2 big ones in 5 weeks. Information was way to much to comprehend. Hopefully next time he has 4 small tests to cover all 8 chapters. A lot of work covered in short period of time maybe cut one project or assignment.

Professor Tello interacts with students, but he will pexpect a lot out of you. There are two test in the semester each worth 22.5%. Then there is a research paper he will assign worth 20%. Attendance is mandatory along with participation,& self assessments. I would ask him to give chapter quizzes so this could help you with tests. Good luck!!!!!!!!

One of the better Professor's at UML. He uses great examples and explains everything clearly. He enjoys students asking questions because you are paying attention and it helps with class participation. Only bad thing about his class is having ONLY two test, I would of like him to break it down to three or four test.

Will challenge you with an above average workload, but is very good at explaining the material. Expects a little more than achievable by most college students, but is a fair grader. Places a undue emphasis on participation, to the point of obsession. He also sometimes thinks he knows your name, and then you're marked absent, oh well.

He is a great teacher who is really interesting, his class never drags on. But he does give out alot of work between case studies and self assesments. His tests are pretty hard. He is the kind of professor where most of the multiple choice answers are right but only one is the BEST answer. So sometimes you have to memorize to book definition.

Managing Innovation was the third class I took with Tello. He is one the the top professors at this college. Everyone needs to take him. He makes sure you learn...that is what we are all here for.

Professor Tello is one of the very few "Teachers" at this University. Where many teachers fail to actually "teach" the content to students, this professor excels. Professor Tello is a very kind, funny, down to earth guy which makes understanding what he presents easy and interesting. However, he WILL challenge you... Alot. Be prepared to do work.

Great professor! Everyone told me the tests were extremely hard before taking the class.. they aren't bad at all! He tells a lot of good stories on the topic. Overall interesting class. Just be careful who you pick for your group project. Could be the difference between a good amount of work and insane amounts of work.

Really cool guy, uses powerpoint every class, but involves the whole class. Class discussion is fun, and 10% of your grade is participation. Tests are multiple choice. You'll have work to do in this class, but I'd recommend him to take.

I would HIGHLY recommend this professor to anyone! He is very nice, and always makes class fun and makes you want to participate! The tests are multiple choice, but are really easy as long as you review the PowerPoint slides (he reads off the slides in class).

It's an easy class. His lectures are also pretty interesting and you can learn a thing or two. He is clearly passionate about the topic and cares a lot about entrepreneurship. All exams are multiple choice and you will be given a study guide before hand. There are 2 main projects in the class and it is easy. Recommend as a business elective.

What better person to learn about entrepreneurship and innovation than a businessman himself. If you're an ambitious entrepreneur definitely stay after class and have a chat with Prof. Tello. He gives great advice for anyone starting out! The class was a cakewalk thanks to him. There's two exams (All MCQ) and two easy projects. Highly recommend!
