Uses all the tools provided by the University, which is very helpful. Uses audio/visual teaching aids. He works in the field he teaches and gives real world examples. Very knowledeable. Welcomes every student's opinion some of whom are business owners or business people. Keeps the students updated via E-Mail, online comments and during lectures.

Very fair professor who is eager to adapt to students' needs. His knowledge of the subject and use of learning tools made the class very enjoyable.

I thought this was going to be a terrible class. But if you put in the work you will get a good grade. You won't use the book besides maybe for structure and term definitions. To understand how to complete the assignments it is essential to ask questions. Good professor.

Professor Wood s is one of the COOLEST professors there is. He used the book but def made it relate to todays world. He really cares about the students!

Professor Woods is a nice guy, but I wasn't too crazy about the class structure; read assigned chapters and listen to him read off the PPT's. If you don't mind that, then you should have no problem in his class, if you can stay awake.

I have taken several courses with this professor throughout my academic career and he is one of the few I feel that I actually learn something from. His teaching style can be a bit challenging, but that is what learning is about. I have taken both on campus and online classes, having the same beneficial experience in both styles.

I took MGMT 315 online. I enjoyed the class structure - which encourages lots of open and relevant discussion. The subject matter was not my cup of tea but Dr. Woods did a solid job of making it interesting. Overall, relatively painless - definitely recommended.

Online Summer class was interesting, challenging but not overly burdensome. I enjoyed it. Professor seems to be genuinely interested in his students growth and development.

I took online MGMT 315 class with Dr. Woods in the summer. Tests were kind of hard, but they were only fair (small) portions of final grade. Word Count rules for conference discussions seem to be a little too much, but I could always wrote more than the minimum word count requirements because he always created interesting topics. Highly recommend!

The most understanding professor in the world! Will bend over backwards just to make you understand concepts and get a good grade. He will help you through anything, academic issues as well as career issues. Keeps topics easy and understandable.

Professor Woods was one of the most engaging Professors I've had, which is saying a lot since I took an online class. My only complaint is that the exams were too challenging. I felt that many questions tested my ability to locate a particular sentence in the text rather than my knowledge of a concept. Otherwise, the class was excellent.

THE BEST PROFESSOR AT UB...he is truly a great person, he challenges his students not to fail them but to make them think outside of the box. He cares about each and every student's learning abilities, and WILL BEND BACKWARDS for anyone who is honestly trying to succeed in his class. Had him for two online classes and he was extremely helpful in both. He participates in the student conferences and gives frequent feedback. The course work can be challenging, but expectations are clearly stated and he always answered questions.

One of the best professors I've ever had. Really down to earth, he is extremely smart and has loads of real world experience. Class is largely discussion based, and it made it very interesting. Open book tests were more critical thinking than looking for facts in the book. He cares a lot about students and wants everyone to walk away with a lot.

I thought this was a great class. I heard from previous students that he a great professor. And I wasn't disappointed. He challenges you to think critically and he "connect the dots". He is a great teacher, and a great person to interact with. Study the chapter before coming to class and be ready to share your opinions with the class. Tests weren't too difficult, as long as you read the book. 70% of the grade is given to you as long as you do the Discussion Question. i would definitely recommended taking his class.

The most engaging professor you will ever encounter. Dr. Woods is down to earth and very straightforward. He uses the book as a compliment to his real world experience. Dr. Woods forces you to think critically, out of the box.....a generic answer will not do. Come to class with the chapters read and your mind open!

He was an awesome teacher! He has a great sense of humor and keeps the class entertaining. He makes it fun to learn and you actually learn. If you pay attention, do whats required and keep the discussion going, you will easily pass the class and receive a good grade!

I can honestly say, in more than 8 years, Dr. Woods has impressed me more than any other professor. He has a great sense of humor and makes learning interesting. His regularly added two cents in reply to students' posts either keep the discussion going or play devil's advocate when a different perspective is needed. What a great instructor!

The Entrepreneurial Experience

I took an online class with Dr Woods and it was great! It is easy and he responds promptly to all the postings.

I was a little skeptical about an online class but found Dr. Wood engaging and thought provoking. I'm more of hands on visual person but the discussions allowed me to put my self in that situation and come up with a solution. Thumbs up to Dr. Wood.

Dr. Woods has a passion for the subjects he teaches. He works to ensure that you are applying what you learn in class interactions and direct responses. I have taken his classes in house and online. He is highly recommended.

GREAT Porfessor! When I first read my syllabus for this class i was a little scared but this class was really interesting and to think i took it during the summer. Dr. Woods is a great teacher that knows the material and also wlling to help his students.Just do as he asks and work hard and you will be good!

Online course. Prof. Woods helps his students engage in course materials with his weekly discussions. He seems to truly care for his students. He may be the first Professor I met who makes sure his students are really learning something from his course. Try taking his course and you'll see.

I had Dr. Woods for a previous class and once again I was not disappointed. I learned a great deal during this course thanks in part to Dr. Woods outstanding teaching methods. He makes things easier to understand by requiring students to read each others responses to questions. The workload may appear overwhelming at first but adjusting was easy.

I enjoyed the Entrepreneurship class and Professor Woods was very clear and concise about his expectations.Even more importantly in my opinion, is that he is not afraid to be rated by his students. This speaks volume about his desire to offer the best and to take constructive criticism. Kudos to Professor Woods, for being an excellent Professor.

Dr.Woods is amazing. Show up to class and answer two questions a week you get a C automatically. There are three tests open booked and online take home so you can get a 5 on all of them and still have an A in the class. Get an 80 or 90 and don't have to take the last. The questions are right out of the book so take your time and find the answer

Class and teacher are relitively easy. Hde puts the entire grade in your hands to earn. you do have work to do weekly but it is manageable even with a full time job.

All you have to do is submit 2 writings per week based on chapter readings and show up to class or submit responces to other people's writings instead of showing up to class and take 3 open book multiple choice tests. I learned a lot about what makes a good leader. He's also extremely accommodating, lets the class out when they seem bored or edgy

He is one of the best professors here I've had so far. He is very straightforward with his expectations and most importantly there are NO group projects. All his exams are online & open notes. Also the only assignments you have to do are 2 discussion responses per wk. Plus, for Thanksgiving wk, there was no class! He's that awesome, so take him!

If you are seriously interested in business, this is the class for you. Follow the syllabus, attend class, and submit your 2 weekly discussion responses you will not have any problems in this class.

Professor Woods is interested in the subject matter and student progress. Course requirements are straightforward and somewhat intense (must attend all classes and complete weekly assignments to earn points) but consistent and fair. Overall a great professor!

Dr. Woods has you think in a different way. He has you think divergently. Yes some say go by his sylibus and you'll get an "A." This is not true especially if you have never even attemped to think like an entrepeneur. I was required to take this class and all I can say is it is a true learning experience and you will get something out of it.

The easiest 'A' I have ever recieved. This class is joke, which is nice if you are taking other classes that are harder throughout the semester.

Dr. Wood's classes are fun, the format is open discussion. He tries to tie in the class to your life. Sometimes this leads to boring side-conversations, but often the discussions are interesting. Read the book before class or you'll be lost trying to understand what he's trying to link. Grading requirements are clearly explained to receive an 'A'.

Dr. Woods is an awesome professor. If you're looking to learn about yourself, take this class with him. Yes, it is an easy A, but you learn so much!! What you learn in this class about yourself is so much better than receiving the good grade on your transcript. He teaches stuff you can actually use later in life.

I highly reccommand this instructor. He shows you how to make money out of the textbook we have. You will leave his class 100% more knowledgeable than you were entering. I like that we have discussions in class and its not just a straight lecture. It is easy to pay attention, and learn new things this way.

He is passionate about what he teaches. He's always willing to help students outside class with job related question. The main reason why i loved his classes was because, he gets the student involved in class discussion, and not just go over PP Slides. I didn't take his class because of an easy A, but because he gave me great Knowledge about MGMT.

If you want answers spoon fed to you this is not the right course. He makes you think and connect. This class is the best I've had at ub. The discussions are great. He has changed the way I see myself in the business world. I feel like there is a place for me to succeed, and am very grateful for the experience.

Love Prof. Woods class. I found his class to be very informative, and it helped me understand the process of running a business from scratch. The weekly DQs are a great tool, in which I wrote what I learned from the reading, and lectures. Class participation is not required, but be prepared if your name is called.

Professor Woods is one of the best professors I've had. I was not interested in the subject, but he made it easy to understand.He didn't just lecture; he had class discussions, videos, etc, making the class a little more interesting. Attendance is important in his class.

Awesome professor! I had some health issues that I brought to his attention at the beginning of the semester and he was more than accommodating, very understanding. Attendance is a big part of your grade but if you do not go to class you can make up the full points. Attendance and Direct Responses: 70% of your grade. 3 Tests online: 10% each.

Professor Woods is a great professor. I took his class over the summer session, it was a lot of work but I learned a lot. He gives a lot of feedback which is helpful. Make sure to study for the exams, they are tricky.

I dropped this class with another professor and this professor was more difficult, but I felt I learned more and was able to apply the material better. He reads what we write and gives you feedback if you don't wait till the last minute!

Dr Woods is a fair and involved professor. I took ENTR300.WEB1 and it was a rewarding experience. You will walk away with more knowledge than you started. You will have to do some writing weekly. The test are not easy, but if you read the textbook and slowly read the question.you will do okay. Yes,I would take another course with this professor.

Dr. Woods held a very interesting class. It was one of the few classes I have taken that I actually enjoyed. There was a good amount of work, however Dr. Woods always did his assignments in a way that allowed you to actually learn and earn an A is you followed directions.

This was an awesome class and an awesome professor. The class was pretty easy. All you have to do is weekly discussions and 3 exams. In class discussion is very interesting and Prof. Woods gives alot of insight on the chapters. I highly reccommend him to anyone if you want an easy A!

Dr. W is simply amazing! The class was online & everything was clear. 3 exams, 4 hours each. EASY if you've read the text. If every prof was like this I would never stress.
