Good professor but hard. He is very into his math and is really good at it. But this is kind of a downfall to students who are not good in math. Too fast paced and you sort of have to go with the flow. If you are not good in math like algebra might want to take a professor that slows down to teach you like if you were back in high school.

Great professor, highly recommend!! Very passionate about math. He really knows his subject. He teaches you why the problem is solved that way, not just how to solve the problem. Sometimes too fast paced but if you apply yourself you can't fail this class. Lot's of corny jokes. I would take him again. I enjoyed his class.

Professor Zimmerman is a great professor. He truly cares that his students succeed in the class. He gives you pts. for online HW and reviews prior to exams. I'm not good with math and got an A in the class thanks to him helping us out.

This man is the one to take if you care anything about learning and passing. There is no excuse for anyone to fail his class. NADA

Relies heavily on MyStatLab and not so much on the book. He pretty much makes it impossible to fail. His jokes keep you awake and alert during long lectures... Highly recommended.

One of the best teachers I have ever had. He really cares about his students succeeding. He is very funny which takes some of the pressure off. Math has never been a favorite of mine but he made it enjoyable. Take notes, ask questions and do your homework and you will pass no problem. Don't need your book. Sad I don't need any other math courses.

This professor is very good for Statistics. He will not let you fail the class. He only gives A-C grades and promises that in the beginning of the year. Very reasonable. You can do half the homework and do alright on the tests and get a B.

Overall, a nice guy. His class is hard. Exams are majority of your grade and have the hardest questions on them. He is available in his office hours,doesn't help if you have a full time job. If your excellent in math, then I highly recommend him. If not, no way!! DO NOT HAVE A CELL PHONE OUT AT ALL!

Take Him!!! I'm taking him now, he has let us redo our first test and gives up to a 90 on that one. The second test was take home and he made time for us at panera bread to help w/ that one, and for Exam III he reviewed the entire test in class. One exam to go. Also if you do homework,can get up to extra 10pts on each exam. Awesome Professor!! :)

The best professor on Earth. If you need a great, compassionate, knowledgeable, fun teacher, then this is your teacher. He is very nice. His class is well prepared and he only touches base on what you need to know and does not waste time with information not needed. His office hours are very convenient. Love this teacher.

Awesome teacher is awesome. Incredibly helpful, engaging, works very hard for his students, and is very a fair grader. My entire class bombed 1 test so any grade below 70 was bumped up to a 70. I scored a 48, but I got a 70. Made A's on all the other test. Just do the homework and the test are easy. All together a pun filled class.

He is the most helpful, caring math teacher I have ever had. I go to UCF and the way they teach this class there is horrific so I took it at Seminole State. You do not need the textbook, all homework is done on My Math Lab, if you get 100s on the homework he adds 10 points to your test!! As long as you show an effort you can easily get an A.

Quirky, but gives you EVERY available opportunity to EARN your grade. You MUST do the work, attend lecture, attempt homework and he WILL reward you in turn. He WANTS you to learn/comprehend and will go above and beyond to make sure that happens. Actual looking forward to taking him for Statistics and I do NOT enjoy Math- AMAZING instructor!!!

Professor Zimmerman is funny, cute, and also manages to keep us on task. Willing to help even when its not office hours. Very tough but gives us every chance to pass right down to the end.

He makes math easy. Book is hardly used just need Mathlab access. Plently of time to get home work done work load very reasonable. He is very very willing to help you and WANTS everyone to pass with an A. Reviews for the exams are great, the exams are problems taken right from the book and reviewed. He makes math fun!

Prof. Zimmerman is one of the best math teachers at SSC. He helps you think about how to solve a problem analytically rather than by procedure. I believe the way I look at math now has completely changed and I feel more than ready for Calc I. Go to every class, he gives outstanding reviews for exams. I would take him again if I had the chance.

If you suck at math and want to pass make sure to take Professor Zimminator!!! I took him for Stats, College Algebra, and Concepts of Calculus. I didn't get A's but I passed, which is all what mattered to me. I passed with a lot of slacking. So if your apply yourself you will do great with him. He will make you work but also make sure you pass!!!

Awesome Teacher, awesome class. Actually learned what I was doing, instead of just memorizing like every other math class i've taken. Personally, this class was an easy A as he guides you through everything you need to know. Also works out every test problem, so if you work through them again at home, you'll get a 100 on every test.

Stat was my worse subject. Third time taking it, but, first time taking it with him. He broke it down in a way that I could understand it. He had group studies and would feed us, too! He is always available even during his lunch. If you do your homework and make an effort you will pass, but, I got an "A"! I was a tough course, but, he will help!

You seriously have to care very little to fail his class! Exam reviews are him giving you the question AND showing you how to find the answer for every question. One take home test. Attendance counts as a quiz grade. You have the entire semester to complete HW. Very helpful. Would definitely take again. Kinda corny. DON'T BUY THE BOOK!

Professor Zimmerman was the best decision I have ever made in my life. I was scared for my life since it's a math requirement you need a C or better. He passed me with a B. He loves answering questions about the material. If you want to pass a statistics class TAKE ZIMMERMAN!! Show up for test reviews otherwise you will fail (he gives the answers).

Was a very good teacher. He makes trigonometry as enjoyable as I think anyone can make it. He really really enjoys the subject he teaches. He is very quick on teaching the subject and uses a lot of terms, but he always does study sessions throughout the week and is always jumping in conversations to help you. Reviews are identical to tests. Easy A.

This class isn't hard as long as you learn how to use StatCrunch. Got A's on all the tests and his reviews are very generous

I have always been great at math but this was the first math class I have taken that was hard. Study the reviews and that will help. He gives you all you need to get a good grade but is still difficult.

Professor Zimmerman is just meant to be a teacher. He truly understands that teaching is about helping a student understand material. He gets that there's not point in keeping you in the dark regarding tests; he gives VERY generous test reviews. He's funny, too. He does tend to go a teensy bit fast during lectures, but will slow down if you ask.

Statistics is a subject you wont understand unless you're a math major and professor Zimmerman gets that! I struggled and he passed me with a B! He's funny and has a lot of jokes, he wants his students to pass! He has panera bread help sessions before every test! Loved him.

I have taken Zimmerman before and if I took him again that should be said that he is a good professor. He is a very caring giver when it comes to points toward your grade. Always offers help inside and outside of class with his help sessions, and the test reviews are over generous. Only flaw is his teaching is very quick and he uses a lot of terms

Professor Zimmerman is one of the best professor at Seminole State. He gives you many resources for help and always willing to clarify things in class/outside of class. He will pick on anyone in the class, so definetly pay attention! He does reviews the day before, easy quizzes, less hw prbms with an exception to final exam there's no review.

Zimmerman is one of the best math professors I have ever had. He is very clear as to what will be on the exams, is very helpful if you have an confusion or questions about a certain problem. If you take his class prepare for a lot of math puns.

All you have to do is show up to pass. The class before you take a test, he goes over the whole entire test with the class and allows you to write it down to study. Plus he always tells stupid jokes that aren't even funny but will still make you laugh. I would take him a million times

He assumes that you already know the material so he focuses on the complex stuff during class. The exams are exactly as the reviews so do them. You will survive if you do the online HW and the reviews. He makes a lot of jokes that aren't funny but it will make you laugh anyway. He is a nice prof and is willing to help if you are struggling.

the class is not difficult if you pay attention and take notes. Lectures are pretty dull but still show up and be there for the review because he helps you out a lot in those! I am horrible at Math. I had been out of school for over 25 years. I took College Algebra with Mr. Zimmerman. He explains everything plain and clear. He makes himself available for his students during office hours and he even met students for study sessions on weekends at Panera Bread. He is very caring and tries his best to help!

He can be difficult to understand at times because he always speaks very technical however, he is willing to answer any questions you have until you understand what he is saying. Gives reviews for tests and homework help. CHOSE BOOK HOMEWORK NOT LAB.

Prof. Zimmerman was amazing! He made everything so easy to understand, and made sure everyone in the class understood the concept before moving on. He teaches the why behind every step, not just where you put the numbers. You leave understanding why you do things a certain way, and can answer any problem with what he gives you. Take him if you can!

I think he is the best math teacher I have taken so far. He takes time out of his saturdays to meet with students at the panera near altamonte campus, gives them food, and personally tutors them. He will work with you on your grade A LOT. It feels like you're failing, but you're probably not.

It's a method to his madness. Will seem difficult at first but as long as you pay attention and ask question you will get a good grade. Definitely do the homework. Your effort matters to this professor.

ONE OF THE BEST! You have to get used to the way he speaks about math. That takes a few weeks, but once you've got it down, he's amazing. So caring and he has the weirdest jokes that make you laugh. Definitely a professor to take, especially for the harder math classes. He will do everything he can to help you pass, just put the work in. His study guides ARE HIS TESTS. Study them. Go to all his help sessions and don't skip class. You'll be fine!

For the first time I am really understanding with math is all about. He replaces technology with knowledge. We use our calculator to check his work and we have to watch the board for mistakes. What a breath of fresh air! I've become confident each time I find a hidden mistake. Thank you for a great semester!

Zimmerman is the GOAT of math professors. You learn QUALITY math and it is GUARANTEED if you're not proficient at math, YOU WILL BE MORE PROFICIENT in the end. Zimmerman 100% cares about his students. Does a review before every test and is almost identical to the actual test. He will go above and beyond when it comes to meeting a student outside of the classroom, whatever works around your schedule. Homework on MyMathLab is very time consuming, but if you do it, you'll for sure pass the test. 10/10.

He is a great person and so kind and tries really hard to help you out if you are not good in math. He is really really smart though so sometimes when he teaches he is a little hard to follow just because he is smart and it comes natural to him. He does expect you to know the material before class and to study a lot before class.

Steve is THE BEST! He is EXTREMELY Generous! DO NOT Fail to take advantage of ALL of his office hours and opportunities to grow in your career of mathematics education, he does not baby step you. If Steve taught every single mathematics class (he should, if he isn't teaching request him from the chairperson), I WOULD take him for everything!
