He is the coolest teacher! Laid back, funny, and passionate! If you complete all the work and do the xtra credit you'll get an A or B! This was the most enjoyable class! He's soooo nice! Just get to class on time and attend regularly because attendance counts towards ur grade. Love this professor!!
I took an online class with him, which was horrible! Our whole class bought the wrong book, and they wouldn't let us return them...and he rambles on about his personal opinions in class, when he should be teaching...my advice is, if you have to take him.... don't!
Very nice guy, interesting class, but rambled a lot and was very redundant. Unclear, unhelpful because I worked hard meeting his written/spoken criteria for my A, but many fellow students achieved good grades for much less effort. If you like group projects, go for it. I don't.

Stew Stew.. I have him for a forum class and he has a cool personality. Hes funny and jokes a lot. He does ramble a lot too but its cool. He mentions Chico State a lot cause he went there. He gives lots of hints about the test, if you study that you should be fine.He doesnt it like if your late.
Easy teacher, doesn't seem very knowledgable in the area. It seems the students teach the whole semester through 2 major group presentations. Essay final and midterm. If you like to debate in class you will probably get a good grade.
He was very open to all views, and did not penalize for opposing views. However, this plus does not overlook the fact that he did not teach more then 3 classes. He split the book up between groups of students and we taught..but seeing how I took this class to learn, I learned nothing.

Stu is a funny guy. He makes it easy to get an A on the test, IF you study. Since he rambles alot, its best to take the opporunity to take notes directly out of the book, since 80% of what he talks about has nothing to do with the test or the book. He lets you actually record him practically giving away answers to the test. He's awesome, I love him
Stew Frame is a great guy, but a terrible teacher. I learned absolutely nothing in his class. All he talks about are his silly Vietnam stories. Truth be told, I don't think he knows much about Poli Sci at all which sucks for us taking this class as a lower division requirement to be Poli Sci majors. Hate to blast him because he is very cool but...
Took during summer. Very easy class. Ya he rambles alot but he gives you practically all the answers for the tests!!He even lets you record it. Takes roll and hates late people and people sleeping. EASY!!
Super nice guy, but not the most knowledgeable in the subject area. We had a kid in class from the Czech Rebulic and Prof. Frame didn't realize it was it's own country. It's an easy A, but frustrating if you're a pol sci major and eager to learn.
He rambles about everything and constantly forgets what he is talking about. He grades on attendence and you have a 5 page single spaced paper. 3 exams and he goes over each question to give you hints so that is easy.
Try to look for a better Poly sci teacher. If your looking for more commentary in your teaching than actual teaching, this is your guy.

Unless you hate Bush like him, don't bother taking this class.

Stew is a pretty funny guy. I completely agree that he gives WAY too much commentary and his own opinion about every subject. He frequently goes off on tangents, and he says he is easy but he is strangely stubborn on certain things. Don't ever be even 2 minutes late for his class, it pisses him off.
Learned a lot in his class. Liked him a lot. Fun lectures. Really awsome kind-hearted guy. Although, don't be late and if you are late- just appoligize and he lets it go.
DON'T BOTHER READING THE CHAPTER BEFORE HE COVERS IT, OR CLASS IS A WASTE OF TIME. LOTS OF DISCUSSION, AS HE SAYS, "DEMOCRATE BY MIND, REPUBLICAN BY HEART." As many have already say. This guy doesn't focus much in the book, he mainly yap about other issues all the time such as War in Iraq, oil crisis and all kind of stuff, but overall, he is very easy on the grading; therefore, if you want easy "A" take him or if you want to learn more take someone else.
This was both my favorite class and my favorite professor thus far. He is an awesome and funny guy. Dont bother even reading the book he usually goes off on random tyrants about Bush and the republican party. Class is awesome learned a lot about politics
Really, what can be said about a person who openly called a student a **** when they said that there was a problem with illegal immigration in America? Aside from that, Stew typically appeals to students fresh out of high school looking for an easy grade; however, the general concenus among poli sci majors is Stew is not fit to teach the subject.
My only complaint was that I was like 2 points away from a B and still got a C, but I guess that's how it goes.
his passion and fervor for politics is sometimes fun/engaging and then sometimes boring/annoying. hardly stays on topic. forum class, no homework, 1 essay, 3 tests total. decent class.

easy A if you read or take notes in his class. He had three tests and one paper. He has a review for each test. He talks a lot about his personal life, not very funny.
Extremely easy, somewhat boring, class isn't necessary. Brings up the same thigns: Cal State Chico, getting his BA/MA in poly sci, Vietnam War, and hating Bush.
Class is super easy. There's only 3 test, that he'll give reviews which give you each question and answer.You have to write 2 easy essay papers. You do have to go to class or at least have someone turn in a card with you're name on it.Talks alot about personal views and often strays from topic. I hardly studied and passed with an A.
stew totally scared me at first and i wanted to drop immediately, but he's hilarious! he really does try to make the class engaging and he's willing to work with you to get a good grade. i miss listening to his rants, they were awesome.
i took intro to american gov (poli sci)over the summer with him at IVC. he's pretty funny and he makes the class a lot less boring. his tests aren't that hard and he grades easy on papers. i fully recommend him, he's a great professor
Basically, the guy is perfectly capable of teaching if he keeps the personal anecdotes out. I learned next to nothing from his IR class and I'm really interested in Political Science. Unfortunately, if you're a PSci major you have to take his class, so bring a laptop.
Just another typical liberal professor teaching in California. Even though I received an A for his class, I had to pretend that I agreed with his political ideas. This guy thinks Bill Clinton is his hero. He's a funny person and wants to see you do well in his class, but he is not a true professional. Take this class only if you need to.
Easy class, but you won't learn a damn thing. Attendence is required, apparently so you can listen to Frame rant about current events and then spend a few minutes at the end breezing through his powerpoint while the class puts their bags away. Frame's class is a MAJOR WASTE OF TIME & money! I got the A, but am still pissed about how bad it was.
Interesting class to say the least. He is a crazy Liberal. I am conservative so I kept my mouth shut because to him its his way or no way. He gets off topic constantly. Easy Class though. Just don't expect a lot.

Oh Stew! He gives you the test questions straight out, one 5 page paper due, attendance cards mandatory. the best...he has diabetes so he likes to tell stories about the twinkie defense a lot. [Tangent territory] he's a liberal. he's not married so he tells about his dates sometimes haha
Attendence is important but I got someone else to turn in my attendance cards so I barely went to class. Make sure to find a group to study with otherwise you will be stuck. I didn't get the book and managed to get a B. I didn't do well on tests but all the EC helped and the essay which is worth 100 pts.
He tries to be bipartisanship but clearly a liberal. Although he does respect conservative idealogy, he emphasizes on rationality. He's exactly what orange county needs in a time of ignorance and misinformed voters. He does ramble a bit, but his humor, as i told him in class is a Steven Colbert and Bill Maher hybrid. Learn to appreciate the humor

The class is pretty easy, he gives you all the test questions. But he's an extreme liberal. Not a bad thing, I agree with him sometimes & he STILL gets on my nerves. If you challenge him, he argues back you're believing what the 'republicans' WANT you to think. Even if I agree with some of his points, his PERSONAL views are no place for a classroom
Informative teacher, sometimes diverts on a tangent but still relates to todays issues. 3 tests and a research paper, though he is a liberal, he is informative and easy to listen to.

If you are interested in political science don't take him. If you just want to get by and don't care then do. His class is a waste of time either way.
Im gonna miss Frame! I thought he was awsome, and super easy! I came to class every day to get the test questions he gives out. He is so FUNNY! even though he thought only some chick Stephanie laughed at his jokes,I was in the back cracking up. TAKE HIM! he is such a nice guy, super funny, and EASY A!
Stew is a great teacher who makes a terrible subject something that may interest you. Before taking the class I was one of those who "hated politics".. Now I don't hate politics and I actually watch the political ads on TV for the primary election. (still definitely not my major) Stew is hilarious.I HIGHLY recommend taking him for polisci 180.
20pt extra credit due in the beginning. do it very easy. 100pt essay do able. 3 70pt exams. he gives you hints and/or answers to the exam. go to his review session. helpful. mypoliscilab. thats helpful too.take a pic of a person using their laptop on fb or anything you get 10pts ec, u will need it at the end of the semester.getting a B is very easy

typical lib the class is ok, a lot of going off on tangents, endure it and do the paper. don't expect to learn. the class starts with loud rolling stones music. it's sad the see a man his age trying to be liked by kids.
Worst class I've ever taken. I'm planning on dropping, it's so bad. He doesn't teach, he calls students "losers," and he doesn't even grade the papers. Don't take this class, it's a complete waste of time and space.
Stew is awesome... his class will be easier if you're a hot chick. He loves the ladies. He's a funny Liberal... goes off on tangents... pretty much everything you read about him is true, but his class is easy and fun. He's HILARIOUS and the material is easy. He does everything he can to help you succeed. Why wouldn't you want to take his class?
Do not expect to learn anything about government in his class. The only thing I have learned is that he loves to drink and has a "hot" 60 year old gf. I honestly cannot named one thing he has taught relating to government. Waste of time going to class.

There are three exams and one paper. hes really into gay rights so I would suggest writing ur paper on something he likes. tests ARE EASY! come to class & get his hints.u can get an EASY A no prob. Doesn't really use the book. note taking is not really ness. just follow the hints. try to ignore his old man humor. dont mind him hes old :)
Like others comments, his class is easy only for those who often come to the class( for all the hints). 3 exams ( 70 questions/each)+ 1 paper (5 pages) and 2 extra credits papers.Book is useful too, usually for international students like me!In addition, he's super fun and make the class not so bored.
Easiest class ever. He pretty much gives you each question with page # and then you just have to look it up. Other classmates just posted them online so you really didnt have to go to class. 3 tests and one paper and TONS of extra credit. Do the EC and its an easy A.
Talks about his life too much, loves to debate with the students. Gives hints about the test answers for class. Didn't really read the book but it probably would've helped if I read it. I just memorized the hints and eventually aced the class.
Amazing professor! Gives out hints prior to both quizes and ALL EXAMS. He does talk too much about his personal life, but he's very funny in doing so! All you have to do is write down the hints (page numbers) and ctudy them! Extra credit is given..it's an easy A! By far my second best professor since beginning college.

Took his class in a forum, so I'm not sure how he would be in a smaller setting. He gives you the answers to all the tests. He almost makes the class so simple that you learn nothing, but it was an easy A. He loves to go on and on about things that have nothing to do with the class. But if you are just taking the class to fill a req then it works.
Wow where do i even begin! He is very weird about attendance so it is mandatory even though you learn nothing for tests or quizzes.You basically teach yourself because all he talks about the whole time is his life. You have a midterm and final which are extremely hard if you do not study! he gives hints though. 3 essays one is 5 pages single spaced

Absolutely love Professor Frame! He is very passionate about politics and you can tell by the way he teaches. Sure he goes off on a tangent sometimes but it always relates back to class, plus it makes it way more interesting! Who wants to sit in a class where the professor is giving a boring lecture? Do the work and you will receive the grade!

A great class if you want to sit through boring random stories and unfunny jokes for an hour until he gives you hints/answers to the tests class isn't mandatory but it's difficult without the hints. Overall if you have to take this class take a different teacher I passed but I have an interest in politics
Super boring!!!! I would not recommend him at all. Yes he does give you the test hints, but most of them are confusing so you don't know what to look up. I really wish I wouldn't have taken him. I went to every one of his classes and I missed a B by 2 points and he would not bump me up :(
If you are a good student you will excel in this course. He basically gives you every test question and has very liberal graders for the two papers you have to write. He does, however, force you to listen to his life stories by not giving the hints until the end of class and not allowing you to come in late. Tells the same stories over and over too
Ok, this guy gives out test hints, test questions pages, answers, sounds easy ? don't UNDERESTIMATE, 70% failed the first test, because they thought it would be easy, you have to STUDY the book, come to his review, do his hard 5 pages SINGLE SPACED essay that worths 100 points. He is very boring, you learn nothing about politics but his life.
Stew... he tells stupid jokes everyday, if you laugh out loud, he'll ask for your name and he'll give you many answers for the test and won't read your papers, if you don't he'll ask for your name and will grade your papers really hard, don't complain him, because the school president is his best friend, many people complained but nothing happened.
If your major is Political Science, drop this class ASAP, if you want to pass easily, take this class ASAP. He's boring, talks about his life every time, gives out test hints, you have to laugh at his stupid jokes if you want a lot of extra credits,the only thing that is hard is his 5 pages essay single space that is 100 points. Everything is easy

Great teacher! Gives you hints to the test in the book that are extremely helpful! Leaned a lot in his class and got an A! The 100pt paper everyone is talking about was difficult but he grades really fair and gave me an A as well on that. Highly recommend him!
Doesn't really lecture, just gives hintsanswers to tests by telling you where to find things on certain pages. However, hewould often mix up the wrong questions & answers and overall doesn't convey a lot of things that clearly. He repeats A LOT of things. Simple grading system 325 pts A. The term paper is also an easy grade as well. I recommend.
Horrible. Easy class to pass because his "lectures" are more of giving you detailed hints on what to look for on tests. Other than that, he gives term papers on spring breaks, barely lectures and not a lot of wiggle room unless you find him funny. Then he'll ask for your name and give you extra points for laughing. Unfair to everyone else.
Professor "STE" Frame is one of the funniest professors out there. He tells funny stories during his lectures. He can be very direct, but always has a reason to do so. Make sure you show up to class, as he gives test answers throughout the semester, and be on time, as he doesn't like to get interrupted. His class is easy if you attend, go for an A.
Easiet class ever !!! If your a political science major don't take this class you don't learn anything !!! You can literally skip class till review day and pass the test because he gives out all the answers . His talks about his life boring ... Gets off topic a lot . Only hard part is his 5 page paper single spaced . 3 tests 75 multiple choice .
My favorite class of last semester by far! He's super funny. His assignments are very easy but they do require you to do research. All in all if you go everyday YOU WILL PASS. I never thought i would be interested in politics , after this class it's all i talk about lol
I respect Stew a lot. During the 2016 election bid I couldn't wait to hear his opinion on matters. The class has lots of participation and open forum which is great. He let students share ideas. That's the most important thing I learned from the class, not only the book with facts BUT other's views on subjects. He's a sports fan, so wear your team.
In my honest opinion I think this guy should teach High School classes instead of College. He's that "Don't pack up! we still got 28 seconds left!" kind of person, which is perfect for a high school setting and I find kind of funny. Anyways, besides that classes aren't too hard or anything. You'll definitely pass.
You will have 3 Exams that make up your grade. There is no homework, no classwork, just a term paper that is literally 10pgs long +works cited pg. His lectures are so off topic you really have to focus. Focus the most on getting the test questions and answers. ALSO don't look distracted, he will call you out; he's kind of rude when he does that.
Class feels long and sometimes boring. but easy A or B, just have to show up. Not many points to earn, so make it count.
He literally (yes, literally) verbally states every single exam question and it's answer before every exam, so quickly write it down. There's only 2 assignments and 3 exams, so don't skip anything because there's no extra credit. PS: Do NOT take this class if you want to actually learn about political science, only take it if you want an easy A.
He's a great professor and a great person. He does talk a lot but you have one big paper but his tests are super easy!
