He is a great teacher men! Very helpful.Just don't miss a day in his class, and you're do just fine...
I would take him for another subject. He is the best
No Comments
Awesome. The only class I really liked last semester
Had him for RODP and did extremely well .
I loved his class he made history so interesting and was full of information. This was the first history class that I've ever enjoyed. Take notes and don't miss the quizzes and you'll do great.
I had him for World History II and thoroughly enjoyed the class. I learned a lot and was actually interested in history. The way he discusses history makes it much more interesting than reading about it. Show up to class, take good notes, and you'll do great. Very friendly and fair guy.
Mr. Frye was very friendly and an awesome teacher. He made Humanities fun to learn when I thought I would never enjoy it. Great teacher!
I enjoyed Mr Fryes class very much, he keeps the class very intresting and teaches material that will stick with you for life and use in the real world. Good teacher
First time I have ever enjoyed a history class -- Mr. Frye is an amazing storyteller and a great teacher!
He is an EXCELLENT teacher. his lectures never get boring and if you take good notes, the tests will be easy. i highly recommend taking history from him. he makes everything clear.
Absolutely terrible teacher. Does not explain the subject well at all. He runs straight through his notes and could care less about his students. He wants to see how many people he can fail...don't take any class with Stuart!!!
Frye is an amazing teacher. He is the best History teacher I have ever had. He makes class very interesting!!! He definately knows the subject!!!
YOU HAVE HAVE HAVE TO TAKE NOTES!! The tests go back that and you must read the chapter he's teaching on prior to the class lecture itself. He goes pretty fast and it's easy to get lost. I had a hard time but I didn't really apply myself which is what he is looking for most of all.
Amazing teacher. I had him for a humanities class one semester and enjoyed him class so much I made sure he taught my hist class the following semester. He gives you a study guide before every test and if you study it, there is no way you can fail. great storyteller. He gives you the stories behind the history which makes it interesting.
German...and lectures on Hitler...love it!
ABSOLUTELY A WONDERFUL TEACHER!!!! I hated History and never could pay attention in class. This class has my undivided attention. He knows EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING. Great personality...tells jokes to get class started, uses pictures and video clips online to help with his lecture which really helps. One of best teachers I've EVER had! TAKE HIM!!
Frye is amazing. i took 3 classes from him just because i love his teaching style. his tests are usually hard, but if you come to class on exam day, he usually pairs people up. plus he's not bad to look at, so go to class!!!!
This man is an AMAZING teacher! I have taken three of his classes and have loved every one of them! Great explanations makes everything clear. pay attention to his lectures and the quizzes will be easy. he really makes history interresting. This man is the reason I am a history major!!
He is a horrible teacher! he would ask students their opinion of god and if it was not the same as his he would degrade them in class!!!HE is aweful and i would never EVER take one of his classes again!
He is the type of teacher who will make you tell why you believe in something or not. He likes for students to open up in class and TRY....wow what a concept in college, try to participate!
AWESOME teacher. I had just recently came out of history in high school so I knew most of the material. He madfe it so much more interesting, and a little clearer! I definitely recommened everyone take one of his classes.
He is a useless teacher. A waste of my time.. so frustrating he does not even lecture out of this book but a book about 8 vol. back. I do not recoment him to anyone unless you like confusion and a self proclamed pushy christian but cusses non stop in class.
I actually had him for Humanities and only took it because it was required. I learned alot and wasn't sure how to take him at first but he is a nice guy, excited about History and Humanities and wants his students to learn. He is very knowledgeable and has great stories to tell about the subject matter. I enjoyed his class!
As far as teaching, Frye lectures, you take notes, its easy...but take good notes. Frye it a really great teacher and he knows his stuff. He is funny and interesting and you will learn a lot from this guy. I highly recommend this teacher. plus he is kinda handsome:-)
He is by far the best History teacher I have had!
I absolutely love Mr.Frye! He know the material very well. And the way he lectures keeps you interested the entire class. He's very, very intelligent and also very vocal about his own beliefs. This class is not easy though; you must study. He made me want to switch my major to history!
I was very impressed with his teaching style. This is college and a professor can not be expected to hold your hand thru the semester. Any one that doesnt like his class is a moron.. :)
Yes, he was a good teacher but his class was pretty hard and he can be some what of a smart elic but most of the time nice. If more than 8 people missed class he would give a quiz. So i wouldn't miss his class to much.
All this teacher has done in class so far is rant on government. What's more annoying is how he always has this monotonous, arrogant tone in his voice. I'm almost positive he comes into class hoping people will argue with him. So far he has treated the class like children. In fact, I hope he reads this comment in his class. I'll take that punk on.
He was a good teacher, but I spoke to him about a test once and he was a complete prick about it. I won't even look at him anymore because he was so rude over a simple question.
Biggest smart A** of a teacher I've ever had..
AWESOME TEACHER! He makes learning history fun! He tells jokes, history stories, he will do scenarios in class and recreate things to get your opinion on what you would do if you were there. Uses the internet and slides to show you not just talk at you. Attendance and notes are key with him. Would love to take another class from him!!
I took Stuart this semester because his ratings were decent on RMP, but I STRONGLY recommend that you do not take his class. He RARELY uses the book at all. Instead, he tells you "what actually happened," which is just a biased opinion. He's a bipolar jerk who comes into class blissfully and leaves in a bitter, hateful attitude toward his students.
Today, Professor Stuart asked, "Who was president in 1968?" None of the students answered him. He proceeded to slam his books on the desk and literally started raging at the students. He left class for an ENTIRE HOUR. Finally, he returned to give a half-assed apology. This teacher should be fired for his highly unacceptable, childish behavior.
He was a good teacher but not a good person. I learned the most from him than any history teacher i have ever had in my life. Even though he could teach he was a very mean man. He would call on you in class and if you didnot know the answer he would make a fool of you in class. I kind of understood why he would act like that but he could have we
Mr. Frye is a very unique professor. He is absolutely brilliant and really knows his stuff. If you dont like history, this is the class for you because he makes it interesting. He is very sarcastic though. If you can't take being put on the spot, do NOT take this class. Know the reading or you'll be humiliated in front of the entire class.
He is interesting, kinda hard on people who didnt have a clue what the answer to his questions were. But that kept me motivated to be aware in his class so I wasnt humiliated. Since history was a tough subject for me, this is the motivation I needed to keep up with the work. I know much more about history after attending his class, than ever before
Interesting. I stayed awake and actually learned something. He was hard but his test were based on study guide. One of the best History teachers NE has. I've tried 3.
Hated this class. Yes he was a hard teacher & you had to take excellent notes to pass the test but that is not why I hated it. He rarely tought out of the text. It was always about his opinion & making you believe what he believes. You were a fool in his eyes if you didn't know the answer to a question. I got so fed up with him I dropped the class.
sarcastic, but brilliant, lot of reading, not much homework, good teacher, if you do not show up you will fail his class there is no 2nd chances, if you miss a pop quiz then its a 0 if you cant answer his ?'s dont try he will embarass you if you do not know. Keep you beliefs he will try to sway you to believe what he does. Not for the lighthearted!
Fullllll of sarcasm and very opinionated, but I really like his class. He does tend to go off into tangents, so taking notes in his class could sometimes be impossible, but once you get the hang of it, he is a wonderful teacher. Oh, and he's beautiful, by the way.
hes very hard, he tells you you one thing and put that on the test and he counts it wrong! full of himself and his opinions!! very hard to pass the class bout ready just to drop it, not helpful at all, and cusses and carries on if he feels no one has read
Frye is not an easy A class, but he is by far one of the best teachers I have had. Really grabs your attention with the way he explains the material. Read and take good notes and you will pass, but be prepared for a lot of work to get that A.
Very smart guy but he is in love with himself. Easy class but tired of hiring his opinions about politics and the goverment. I don't need somebody to tell me who to vote for.
If you have a choice of professors, please PLEASE do not take him. I had a 4.0 GPA before I took this class. Doesn't use the book, but whines and cries if you don't read it. He cusses and screams. Tests are not related to anything he rambles about. He's right and everyone else is wrong. If you have a different view, he will beat you down over it.
As long as you read the book and pay attention, there is no problem passing this class. He's cocky, but his personality has never personally clashed with me or my friends. He knows what he's talking about and if you honestly love history, he's the guy to have for a teacher.
Grades based on his mood at the time. Listen to the warnings on RMP- they are true- DO NOT TAKE HIM!
Hard, but amazingly interesting. He is a wonderful teacher. You do not get bored in this class. Assignments are few, but there are pop quizzes.
The only teacher i have ever had that i really just didn't like. I came out with b. He just rambles and gives an idea of "what he thought happened" His test really have little to do with what he talked about. Dont take him.
I had Mr. Frye for 2 classes and got A's in both of them. You have to take notes and pay attention. He made the classes interesting and was a joy to have!!
He's a good teacher, but he tends to talk a lot about his political opinions. as longs as you take notes you'll do great! he usually gives a study guide as well! I had him for two classes this last semester and i got 2 A's
I was looking forward to this class after the first day. But I soon found that Frye tends to speak as if only his opinion matters, doesn't care if you have your book yet when he assigns work, and contradicts himself all the time. Just study, do the assignments, and get a different professor for your History needs next time.
Worst teacher I have ever had. Very arrogant and thinks he is the smartest human being alive. Made my class feel like we were all stupid. So far, all of his classes have a failing average, and half of each class has failed every test. My advice: PICK ANOTHER TEACHER!
Never disliked a teacher this much before. Note taking is extremely hard because he's everywhere with his lecture, study guides don't always have everything on them. His tests are ridiculous. Take another teacher..
I liked this professor a lot actually. His tests are easy and if you just pay attention and listen to the stories you'll be fine. Opionated but i dont care; made history fun to learn about
If you actually want to learn history then Mr. Frye is a good choice for an instructor. Frye is NOT an easy A, but you will learn, and if you study and do your work you will make a good grade. He is a very fair instructor.
Awesome teacher. Very intelligent. If you do the work and take notes you will get an A
If you like history and want a good foundation about history Take Frye. If you want an easy A take someone else.
Enjoyed his class. He seems to know a little bit about everything there is. Very smart. Go to class. If you need a class you can skip this is not it. Be ready to take old school notes, does not print them for you. Sit in the front of the class, he writes small. Over all good experience, would defiantly take him again.
This guy is definitely not an easy A. He's very hard and dont bother raising your hand, he will make you feel stupid in front of your class and tell you exactly how WRONG! you have been..
Stuart is very knowledgeable. Show up to class and study hard. You will get out of it what you put into it. Might not be the instructor for you if history is not your forte. Personally, I would love to have him again.
He knows what he is talking about.. but when he gives you the study guides for the test, when you actually take the test half of the stuff you study isnt what he test you on! He also makes you feel dumb if you ask questions! And gets mad if you leave his lecture to go to the bathroom or something! i dont really like the class or him!
Solid Teacher. Can teach book and real world topics, which is the mark of a good teacher. People might not like him because he won't baby you, just carry yourself like an adult and he'll respect you.
Stuart is a great professor, this is not an easy class but you will learn a lot and make an A if you put in the work. Don't be intimidated by him. The tests are hard but he grades on a curve. Even if you think you are gonna fail stick it out you will be surprised to see what you end up with.
Very good teacher. Opinionated and interesting. If there is a History Club BE IN IT because you will get extra points on final grade. Go to class every day and read the chapters before discussions and you will do fine
Very good teacher. Opinionated and interesting. If there is a History Club BE IN IT because you will get extra points on final grade. Go to class every day and read the chapters before discussions and you will do fine.
Mr. Frye is a good teacher, but there is too much material in the class. Also, he is a bit pretentious. He is a very intelligent man and he should be proud of that, but maybe he should learn to listen to his students more. He does make learning about History fun though.
Overall a good teacher. Class is easy as long as you study for the test. Study guide=test answers. Tends to go off topic a lot which will put you behind with the syllabus. Dont let him do group test if that is an option because you are likely to get stuck with idiots and make a bad grade. One of the few teachers that made history interesting forme.
Mr. Fry is a great speaker and easily kept me interested in his lectures. If you are interested in learning something from the course definitely take him.
I enjoyed Mr.Frye's class. He expects students to do their share of studying but gives all needed information to get good grades on tests.
His class was interesting, but he could never stay on topic. Parts of the study guides wouldn't be on the test and parts that were on the test he didn't even teach or put on the study guide. If you like to get an easy A this is the right class for you, but if you like to earn an A I suggest Ms. Hatch.
Good teacher! He is very passionate and knowledgeable about his material!
He is a terrible teacher. Half the stuff on his study guide I had to google I'm probably ruining my GPA due to him. I would not recommend him to anyone. You can tell he is defiantly not wanting to be there. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!!
Could be extremely interesting to listen to. Was a very good storyteller. Would have actually enjoyed the class if he would have tested on what he taught. Had to Google everything for the study guide. Also, didn't like the fact that the only time I saw him smile all semester was when he handed back all the failing grades from the first test.
His class was the most interesting history class I have taken. He spent time with me to make sure I understood everything on the y guides which I really appreciated
I really liked his class and he helped me a lot on his own time to review for the exams. I liked his stories and they made it probably my favorite class all semester.
DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER. He quizzes you on what you read- that wouldn't be bad- BUT he doesn't keep up with what he assigns you to read, so the quiz isn't on what you just read. You have to really know the subject to pass the course- so you have to apply yourself 100% to succeed. He never shows emotion and acts like he knows everything.
cool dude
I thought he was a very fair teacher and I would recommend himagain
He took his personal time and set up a History club that you should join for extra credit. I really liked his lectures.
Take his class and you'll learn a lot.
He was a very helpful professor. When my mother got sick and I couldn't leave her he drove my assignments to the hospital and helped me catch up on everything I missed. He really cares about people and I learned more in his class than any other history class ive taken
His lectures are amazing.
This guy comes across early as boring, but he is actually fascinating. Listen and learn. He loves to educate and can speak in very understandable terms. Unexpectedly a great class.
I loved listening to his stories. he is also very fair. He worked with me and my family problems which I really appreciate. Good looking man but not arrogant at all. Very approachable
I thoroughly enjoyed taking Mr. Frye's class. He is a wonderful lecturer, who is extremely passionate about history. If you come to class, on time and do the reading you will have an easy A. He does everything in his power to help you get good grades. He even offers extra credit to help with those exams that you might not do as well on. Awesome!
He was a wonderful teacher and give you study guides that have every answer there is on the test. An easy A if you show up and pay attention. Amazing story teller and really gets you interested in the subject. I loved the class.
I had no idea what to expect out of Humanities 2010 but needed it to complete my degree. Mr. Frye turned out to be the class I most looked forward to. This man is a walking/talking History Channel and is absolutely fascinating. The only thing to make it better would have been if he sounded like Morgan Freeman or Leonard Nemoy. Easy assignments.
I loved this class and if you just go its a pretty easy A. His stories are great. Highly recommend the guy. Cool Dude!!
Best class I've taken at Northeast state
Took the class because my friend recommended him and was not disappointed! His stories are great. Easy on the eyes doesn't hurt either lol.
I took Mr. Frye's class and I loved it! He was super helpful and knowledgable. He tells everything exactly like it is so be ready. I loved him and would take another one of his classes if I could. He is a walking history book also and his lectures are really cool. However skip class you will not pass and do not come in late and expect a free ride.
I hated history before, but Frye knows his stuff and tells stories that tie events all together like a book. He's passionate. And fair. (And a handsome man to look at). I've already registered for his humanities class in the fall.
Frye is the most intelligent teacher working at northeast state. Not an easy class, but learning isn't about an easy A. You have the opportunity to vastly increase your knowledge by taking any course he teaches. He knows the material. Read the text book and pay attention in class. You are missing out if you don't take him!
Professor Frye tells it like it is! Didn't know what to think because he's so smart but he's really very nice. Helped me several times including sitting in his office for an extra hour on a Friday going over the entire final exam study guide. Definitely will take more of his classes. Love his style ;-)
Frye is an absolutely wonderful professor. He cares about his students and the material that he teaches on. He knows his stuff and his lectures are very interesting as he has a lot of life experiences and stories that he shares . He's very good about making sure you understand the material. I've had him 3 times and would definitely take him again.
Frye's lectures are amazing. Don't skip class, he requires attendance, a lot of his info comes from his lectures and the textbook so make sure that you take good notes, he also gives study guides. Show up, read what you're supposed to and you'll pass.
Try your best, that's all you need to do. I joined the history club for extra credit and worked very hard on the test. If he sees that you work hard, he'll give you the grade you deserve. History isn't my thing and I was very timid about taking his class. You'll do fine if you try!
Mr. Frye has done an amazing job of opening my eyes to the world of humanities. I thought the class would be boring but he brings excitement to the class with his knowledge. Obviously he's an educated professor & knows his stuff. If you want to pass, be there! Listen to what he says. You'll be fine!
I definitely recommend taking Mr. Frye. He has lived a remarkable life and his stories are truly educational. I learned more about history in his class than I did in all my other history classes combined.
Disorganized, doesn't answer emails, has told students to Google their questions instead of ask him. If you don't have trouble teaching yourself the class isn't that bad.
Humanities was a very interesting class and Frye's lectures were very informative and also entertaining. He has a very dry sense of humor and some people don't understand that. He's there to teach and loves intelligent class discussions. Some may find him intimidating but he's really an awesome teacher who loves to see students succeed.
Mr Frye is the best teacher I've had at Nescc. His stories are great. The only people who do poorly in his class are lazy and/or don't attend. He is fair and his office door is always open. Anybody who says he is hard to communicate with are just lying. I sat with him after class for hours just about every day.
He's cool. He'll call you out, unintentionally, and it will seem rude, but that's just how he is. Straight to the point. He is really funny, and has really interesting stories. Don't be on your cell phone or he'll get really mad, really fast. He's human and has bad days, which do affect how entertaining his lectures Go. He's super smart too.
His Humanities class was so much fun. I have a new professor for Humanities 2020 and she isn't exciting at all, kinda regretting registering so late. Would have enjoyed taking his 2020 but I couldn't find it. Bummer.
Not a good guy, kinda easy class but he rants on about his own opinion.
You have to work for good grades no matter what class. Dont miss class, counts against you in the end. Gives extra credit opportunities, can be abrasive- however just his personality. Dont be on cell phone, he doesnt care to call you out. Put for effort, pay attention, show up, def study his study guides and you will pass. fair grader, very smart
Mr Frye is the best teacher I've had at NESCC by far hands down. Super smart. Learned more in there than all my other history classes combined.
This professor is really a smug, self-righteous know-it-all who knows nothing really. If he would let his ego go and try to connect with students, then he might be an okay instructor. I wish I would have taken another instructor for my history class. Perhaps an adjunct instructor would have known more about the subject and be better at connecting.
Super smart but cool dude. The class itself is boring but he does his best to make it has interesting as he can. I don't know if there is much the man doesn't know.
I seriously hated this class. He is VERY strict about attendance. He only gives you one freebie, & then after that he takes off 5-10 points every time you do not show up. He didn't even excuse when my grandmother passed away because it was not "immediate family" which is absolutely absurd to me. He is very rude & unsympathetic. DO NOT TAKE HIM.
Frye is awesome! At first I was completely skeptical of his methods. But about halfway through the semester I started getting in the flow. He takes care of his students if you reach out. You just gotta take notes on EVERYTHING. I wrote down almost everything. It truly paid off. Sometimes open book and notes. Book is used for reference and studying.
I read bad reviews about Frye before taking his class, but decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. He has been around the world, so he has experience and his stories are interesting. But overall, he is extremely rude and condescending. It takes a lot for me to not like a professor, but I will never take one of his classes again.
Don't let Professor Frye's height intimidate you, he is an amazing professor! His lectures sometime veer off topic, but as long as you read the book you'll be fine. Also, take notes on EVERYTHING he says. He offers extra credit opportunities, and is a fair grader. Dont be late, dont be on your phone, and dont skip class. He offers 1 free skip.
Mr. Frye is a great teacher. Yea he doesnt like students texting during class. So what. Youre supposed to be there to learn. As for students saying hes smug or doesnt care, well they are just wrong. Those ppl wont read or do the work but expect an A. He helped me decide I want to be a history major. Plus, the guy knows his stuff.
DO NOT TAKE HIM! HE has no sense of urgency when it comes to class concerns. It took him 2 Weeks until after the course was started to give us an access code for the REQUIRED textbook. Also , he DOES NOT answer emails. THis is absurd considering that he was the instructor for my online class. AGAIN, DO NOT TAKE HIM!! when he does reply, he is rude!
Stuart Frye is a dedicated professional who is clearly passionate about the subject matter he teaches. He uses the time in class to deliver lectures which are both informative and entertaining. He doesn't assign much homework beyond reading the textbook but you will have to complete some group projects. Triple A+, would take his class again.
Great class. Excellent teacher. Denote two thumbs up
He was an okay teacher. He is very tough on you and can come off mean and sarcastic. He doesnt follow the class syllabus so its hard telling what he could do next in class. Always come prepared and read the text book.
If you had a problem with this professor, you were probably in the back row trying to look at your phone. His class was one of three history classes I took this semester and he was by far the most interesting. He gives engrossing and interesting lectures and I never looked at the clock. Only the worst students struggled since they did not try.
Mr. Frye was a good teacher. I took his early US history class and got an A. He grades pretty slowly and takes a lot of time to grade things and hand them back. He was a good teacher, I learned a lot, but he is very lecture heavy and it's the same everyday with very few visuals.
Very nice and thorough professor when it comes to lectures and quizzes. Super funny lectures which is a plus unlike most professors but communication is an issue. Easy to forget what you've told him and takes very long to email back, not very good at communication with students.
This professor gives amazing lectures. His passion is contagious. He is the first person who has actually made me interested in history. He definitely knows his stuff. Read ahead of class and be prepared for him to ask participation questions from the readings. Take really good notes on every lecture. They will be handy for his study guides.
He is the most negative and condescending teacher Ive ever had. I have heard horror stories, but I wanted to experienced it myself before any judgement. Those people were so right. He doesnt name call, but wait til you get a question wrong or offer the wrong opinion in class. He has no problem being rude to you even if you didnt say anything.
I absolutely adored Professor Frye! He is very blunt, which is what I enjoy in a professor. I enjoyed his lectures, and how he incorporated his stories into the lectures. If you enjoy history, I recommend him specifically!
I enjoy Professor Frye, he is knowledgeable and an interesting storyteller. Although he lectures on the points in the textbook, the details he gives can sometimes be different than those in the book... there are many variations in ancient history. I feel he would be a better fit for a university, 2-yr students aren't looking for his level of rigor.
It becomes immediately clear that Professor Frye is not only extremely intelligent, but also adroit and passionate. While some individuals who may not share these attributes might think he asks too much, Frye helped inspire a love of history, as well as create a classroom that was challenging and rewarding.
Mr. Frye is a great story teller and i really enjoyed his class. it wasn't easy and you need to read, but I learned more in that class than I have any other. He made it interesting.
Stuart Frye has to be one of the worst professors I've ever had. I don't understand why he takes almost everything I write in my assignments so personally. Not only does he not teach me anything, he acts like I'm stupid for even writing it. He doesn't use the comments as an opportunity to teach me but to belittle me.
I have mixed feeling on Mr. Frye. He does not use power-points, he simply talks and will sometimes write on the board. The entire 90 minutes you are sitting there staring at him while he lectures. It can be very boring, so I advise you to take GOOD notes on what he says just in case they are on the exams.
Mr. Frye is not my fav. Grade is determined by 3 tests, 1 project & your attendance. Not allowed to touch your phone in class or he will ask you to step out. No power point, just stands there & talks and writes on the board. Some things are cool but mostly boring. Takes forever to grade & is super particular. You can tell he loves history though!
I had Frye for History2050, I highly recommend this class it is a lot of reading but you learn a lot he is great at responding to emails and grading on time his instructions are simple and a great class overall.
Professor Frye's class is engaging, though challenging. His lectures are captivating, but require active participation. Unstuck study and the textbook helped me stay on top of the material.
Overall Mr. Frye is super knowledgeable about the class. Anything history related he usually knows. Would definitely take him again, just study for the tests and you'll do fine. Missing class is a problem though, this class is very lecture heavy so if you miss class you miss his lectures, the test info is all from the lectures. Great class
Absolutely loved his class! He lectures in a way that keeps your attention, like he's telling a story. I wish I could take another one of his classes! Just take notes and study the terms he provides in the study guides for the exams and you'll do fine. Easy A in my opinion.
Tells you not to take notes because what's covered in class likely wont be what you need notes on. Goes on and on about everything but what you'll actually need to know. Doesn't reply to emails in a timely manner either. Doesn't really bother trying to learn peoples names either, he couldn't even recall what class I was in out of his two classes.
He rants about HIGHLY inappropriate and unrelated topics. He tells you not to take notes because you likely wont be tested on what was gone over in class. And good luck passing a test even if you do study, because he grades based on his own opinion NOT what the book says. Save yourself the headache, and take this course with a different professor.
His lectures are very informative and he often is able to relate the material to historical sites he's traveled to. The class is note heavy but I've been able to make due with minimal notes. If you slack on notes, studying for tests is a little harder but not impossible. He's strict about technology, preparing to take all your notes on paper.
