this is the most easy,nice professor u can find.he has a great deal of knowledge plus give u more information through documentary films.only objective tests are there for exam.he is very humorous.take his class that's winning like a jackpot.

I would strongly recommend taking a course with Prof. Winnick. He's very down-to-earth and extremely loose when it comes to grading. His tests are open-book, but comprehensive. Don't expect an A if you didn't study, but a B is certainly within reach. Overall, very good.

Professor Winnick is a nice teacher. Although I found his class a tid bit difficult, it was very interesting. If you are lucky enough to get a teacher that is passionate about what they teach, you will become then passionate too. If you do take this class be ready to watch movies all the time!

Professor Winnick was absolutely awesome. I have a 100 avg in his class, and all I did was pay attention sometimes. He gives review sheets for OPEN BOOK (and open notebook) tests. Awesome guy. Hes sarcastic in a funny way, unless you're immature and act like an assh0le, then you get what u deserve

Easy class, good professor, open book test, plus he gives you reviews on what's going to be on the tests. He is a little sarcastic, if you act like an ass in his class, other than that he's awesome.

He's alright. He gives open book tests which are comprehensive so make sure you read the book. It's true aboout the corny jokes. I slept half the classes but still pulled an A. If I could do it..so could you.

Nice person, and excellent teacher he has passion for his job and even though i dont like history that much, he makes it interesting and its such an easy A take advantage of all the easy stuff u have to do...

He's really into his job, but he makes it interesting and easy enough for you to understand without making u fall asleep. His quizzes/tests are open book and the videos he shows aren't the typical boring documentaries other profs show. The only thing that bothers him is if you miss/cut class a lot. If you want that A+ go to class all the time.

Prof. Winnick is the best teacher at BCC, he is what a real teacher should be: helpful, intelligent, nice, he loves what he does, he is caring and funny!!.... The only thing that you really have to do is go to class, do the tests and you will pass, i've really increased my learning and my interest in history thanks to prof Winnick!

Fantastic teacher. I've never found myself more interested in history. The tests are stress-free and you will actually learn instead of just memorizing dates. Also in response to the student who said he doesn't open up to discussion...that's ridiculous, any time a student had a comment we would wind up talking about it for an hour. Best class ever.

i cant stand history classes but he made it so easy to learn.. 4 tests that r take home..START EARLY CUZ THEY ANSWERS DO NOT JUST POP OUT AT YOU.. only sometimes haha but for the most part u have to read to find them..go to class&watch the movies&listen to lecture thats it! .. he's a really nice prof. & totally understanding! good class!

I'm 36, married with 2 kids and working. I quit college 15 years ago and was nervous about going back. This guy Winnick has made coming back awesome, if I had him right out of high school, I may not have quit back then, he really gets it, everyone should take at least one of his classes, I am now pumped to finish and get my degree. good professor did lectures and then videos from the History channel. Knows alot but also likes to through in Political stuff into his lectures comparing it to the old world. Obviously a Democrat...so if ur a republican he can get on ur nerves sometimes... Take home test but they are diffiucult, u def need to book to do the take home tests.

Easiest class you will ever take in the history of mankind. You dont do any work in class. you just sit there all class listening to him or watching movies. the exams ARE JUST TAKE HOME EXAMS, so you never really have to learn anything in this class. best class to take to just relax in and worry about your other classes.

He is an awesome teacher! TESTS ARE TAKE HOME and there are only FOUR throughout the semester.. there is no homework and he usually lets you out of class early. Very easy class and he is funny!

Great professor, I can't stand history and enjoyed his lectures. You don't have to take any notes at all because his exams are take home. You have a few weeks to do each one, and those are your only grades. He lets you work with other people on them, so check each other's answers before submitting. If you do that, you'll get an A.

4 take home tests and no homework, but attendance is mandatory. so just show up in the class and enjoy listening to his lectures. You can find most (not all) of the answers to the test questions on Google. take him and have fun :D

The entire class consists of four take home tests, you have several weeks to do them. All multiple choice, straight out of the book. Very easy, spend a good amount of time on them, and check with someone else. He allows that. Definitely recommend. He doesn't care if you do other work while he lectures.

Sweet guy and real nice. 4 exams that are take home, multiple choice. 4 quizzes on vocab from his lectures that are also multiple choice.2 papers on anything relating to the class. if history is not your thing and even a struggle for you seriously take him. He also shows Films so it makes the time go by.doesn't make a huge deal if your late either.

He is a great professor. Even though his syllabus changed, I didn't find the workload to be overwhelming. I don't know what everyone is taking about. As long as you hand everything in and do your best, you should get an A. He is also great at lecturing and makes the material easy to understand and not be boring. I got an A and enjoyed the class.

He also gives out 4 vocab quizzes which are super easy, and you have to do 4 video quizzes(which are short, easy, and done at home). You're allowed 3 absences no questions asked. He's so easy going. ONE OF THE BEST PROF I HAD. He was the only professor who cared during my first semester in college . I took western civilization honors with him and he gave 4 take home test, 4 in class quizzes and a final presentation, but towards the end of the semester he said you only have to do the final presentation for extra credit. It's an easy A for online students. Just be warned, he is getting on in years. If you want to get all your "grades" in just be sure to go for the first meeting he schedules. You can do it anywhere on your phone, just be there because he may cancel the other ones or just not show up. Tell him you got an A, and like magic, you've got an A.

I went straight from high school into online college, so this was my first semester back in person and I genuinely loved this class and Professor Winnick.
